Mariscos Marisol hasn't received any recent reviews, so here's one! Not gonna lie - we only come here when the Mexican place next door is closed (Mondays). Mariscos Marisol is open on Mondays (closed Sundays), so here we are. We had 4 tacos: picadillo, bean & cheese & bacon, papa ranchera, and chorizo & egg. There's something different about their tortillas - they don't taste bad, just too fluffy or something. All the tacos were good, but the picadillo & chorizo & egg were pretty greasy. Their green sauce is good; tacos were a fair price; and service was good. We'll probably be back on another Monday.

2nd time visiting, both times good. I bit different flavor from average Tex-Mex. The fresh flour/corn mix tortilla was good. Mole was a bit heavy on chocolate flavor but still tasty, although it could have used some kick.

    The owner is so funny!

Wow!!!! Incredible food. Best tortillas in town. Salsa Verde was the best I've ever had! Family owned and operated. Serves the a stone Oak community, but worth the drive up Blanco. Great for breakfast tacos to go or dining in w the familia.

    Enchiladas

I got the enchiladas norteñas and gotta say it's the worst enchiladas I ever ate. Taste was just bad. Rice and beans had no salt either. I'm Mexican btw so I know what good mex food should taste like and this not it at all

In need of tacos on a Sunday morning and realizing my go-to spot is not open on Sundays, I trekked out Blanco Rd toward Bulverde and remembered seeing this spot tucked next to a gas station. Turns out, Mariscos Marisol is open on Sunday mornings, and I'll do ya one better - they serve up delicious $0.99 tacos! You'll know you're in the right place by the crazy multi-colored sign and totally graffitied window boasting specials. Walk in and find a fairly simple dining room with an order window and two very friendly ladies ready to take your order and send you merrily on your way, hands full of piping hot breakfast tacos. Although I was only ordering for two, I decided at such a bargain price, I needed to sample a bit of everything. So, when I tell you the tacos are delish, please know I took a bite of many. The tortillas are homemade, the toppings were prepared as I ordered, and anything you order with cheese is super super cheesy. Great trip, fantastic place to grab some tasty tacos at cheap prices, can't wait to go back for a sit-down meal!

I always give an establishment a second chance. After having a bad lunch experience several months ago, I decided to drop by for breakfast - wow, a quality meal for a very good price. The meals are served on authentic Mexican pottery plates, this makes for a very nice touch. Fresh dishes are prepared to order and accompanied by tasty corn tortillas. The place is truly a no-frills, virtual hole-in-the-wall and the lone table server could learn to smile more, but you'll enjoy your meal none the less. I'll keep giving them more opportunities until...

I custom my French toast plate for less fat and carbs, so I have them leave off the potatoes and beans. I love this plate!!

This is easily one of the best halal and gyro-style spots I've tried in Texas. The prices are great, and the portions are fair and filling. The chicken was perfectly seasoned with a light spice, the rice was soft, and the vegetables were fresh. Honestly, I'd choose NY Gyro King over CAVA or Chipotle any day--the food tastes fresher, the portions are just as good or better, and the value is hard to beat. The excellent customer service made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back.

His usual menu consists of pizza, chicken nuggets, and not much else. Getting him to try something new is usually a challenge. To my surprise, he tried the gyro and actually loved it. Not just a few bites--he genuinely enjoyed it. Any restaurant that can win over a picky eater deserves some recognition. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The meat was well-seasoned, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything came together perfectly. It's the kind of place that's approachable for people who are new to Mediterranean food while still being delicious enough for those who already love it. Great food, great experience, and a rare family dining win. We'll definitely be back for more gyros.

Me and the wifey shared a parillada that included pollo, fajitas, sausage for the meats and rice & beans for the sides. Even though the pollo lacked enough of that highly desired Achiote spice, it was good enough to come back and order again. However the fajitas and sausage were a bit bland for my taste. I found it was definitely better when dipped into the green salsa first. The beans also needed a boost of flavor, so adding pepper and red salsa did the trick for me. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and worth dining inside for lunch, if you have the chance. My guess, the future success for this restaurant will depend on a steady amount of families coming here for take out after a long work week. Either way, glad it's here and Buena suerte!

The chef was super friendly. I ordered the spicy chipotle chicken sandwich and why not get the fries but did not realize fountain drink was included, huge 32oz fountain drink. They asked my name for the order but I looked around and it was just me. I got my order within 10 minutes and I enjoyed the entire place to myself with great music. Food: the chicken was piping temperature hot but lacked seasoning and flavor. I don't mind lack of seasoning but there was no chipotle and no spicy flavor at all. It was just breaded and deep fried chicken but it was breaded well with nice fresh tomato, crunchy iceberg lettuce, a few pickles. I did ask for jalapenos but could not find them. The description mentions pepper jack cheese but my sandwich did not have any cheese or the slice was so thin that I did not see or taste it. The chicken breast was tender, juicy and temperature hot but the breast to bun ratio was off. Too much bun compared to chicken breast and some bites were all bread. The curly fries were super temperature hot and perfect for me since there was no added salt. Who doesn't love curly fries?! Restaurant: very clean Bathrooms: very clean and separate men and woman stalls If you are craving crispy spicy chicken and you live in the neighborhood it is the closest place. But take your own hot sauce if you want a kick.

Something about the pictures I seen made me interested in going and the Italian food . What an amazing experience food was amazing as I ordered the meatballs Caprese salad and the margarita pizza . Food was fresh and delicious and waiters were super friendly . The atmosphere was quaint, comfortable, and refreshing to sit on the patio that felt like I was sitting in the middle of a vineyard I purchased three bottles of the Zin pom wine can't wait to share with my friends. The most exciting part was to find out that the owners Sandra and her husband were from the bay area where I'm from and we're so nice and familiar to us and made us feel At home . She even offered next time to let her know if I was coming, she would show me around her vineyard . My sister is a member and hosted her 50th birthday here, so we expected a much higher level of organization and service. The party had already started and the rest of our group was there--we arrived late due to work and ordered food immediately when we got there. Right after placing our order, we were told we had to leave soon, so we asked to cancel it. Instead of handling this professionally, a staff member (River Dan) laughed and told us the food was "almost ready" because it had supposedly been placed 15 minutes earlier--which was not true. Another person in our party had ordered the exact same pizza before we did and was still waiting on theirs. We canceled our order, and their pizza didn't come out until about 10 minutes later. That makes it very clear ours was not "about to come out" like we were told. The explanation we were given simply didn't add up. Throughout the evening, staff seemed confused about orders. Drink service was also frustrating. I asked what a "zinpom" was, was told it was basically a juice wine, declined it, and specifically ordered a Sangiovese--yet I was still given the zinpom and then it was attempted to be charged to us. What made things worse was how the event itself was handled. My sister was never clearly given an end time when reserving the table. We were only told to leave about 15 minutes before the cutoff. At other wineries, guests are usually allowed to move to a general seating area after a private event ends, but here the only option was to leave entirely. Overall, the lack of communication, poor organization, and dismissive attitude from staff really overshadowed what should have been a special celebration. We expected much better, especially for a member-hosted event. If this is how members are treated, especially those who continue to frequent this place despite ongoing service issues, I can't imagine how non-members are treated

I was able to make my way here on my last day in San Antonio in late March thanks to my flight being delayed and my oh my, I am quite impressed! The older gentleman taking my order at the counter gave me a big smile when I mentioned I heard you have this thing called the serious sandwich here. He told me that they do and then stated "You won't regret ordering it, seriously." Chuckling, I decided on a half order of that along with a side of potato salad and their side of beans. After taking my first bite, I realized the gentleman was right. This is a dope sandwich! Excellent cured meats in the salamar and pair of hams along with the provolone and melted cheddar with the veggies, spices, italian dressing, and mustard. The bread they use holds up well and has a slight crunch to it. If you prefer your bread to have softness to it, you may have to ask if they can substitute a different bread instead of the italian flat bread they use. But I absolutely love this sandwich the way it is! As for the sides, the potato salad has a slight mustard taste and right consistency with a dash of paprika on top; just the way I like it. The beans are charro beans (I think) that are served steaming hot with some pork trimmings mixed in; I may have dipped my sandwich in it a couple times for flavor explosion. What can I say, I'm adventurous! There's some ferrari memorabilia and posters on the right side where some of the high top seating is. As a Ferrari F1 fan, I appreciate them displaying this here along with the track map of the COTA circuit in Austin. The seating area is spread out nicely with plenty of seats/tables and a drink station with some random signs up. All of interest to consumers like us. Definitely recommend coming here for either the serious sandwich or other delicious ones like their meatball sandwich or manhattan. I can't wait to come back and try the other ones but I may just stick with the serious sandwich cause I loved it. SERIOUSLY!
