The plates and table settings made me feel like I was back at home eating something my mom cooked for me while visiting. We had papa & egg tacos, beans & eggs taco & papa & chorizo tacos & chilaquiles plate (verde) - ALL were delicious. Then had conchas and agua fresca de pepino to go. Mariscos Marisol hasn't received any recent reviews, so here's one! Not gonna lie - we only come here when the Mexican place next door is closed (Mondays). Mariscos Marisol is open on Mondays (closed Sundays), so here we are. We had 4 tacos: picadillo, bean & cheese & bacon, papa ranchera, and chorizo & egg. There's something different about their tortillas - they don't taste bad, just too fluffy or something. All the tacos were good, but the picadillo & chorizo & egg were pretty greasy. Their green sauce is good; tacos were a fair price; and service was good. We'll probably be back on another Monday. read more

You'll know you're in the right place by the crazy multi-colored sign and totally graffitied window boasting specials. Walk in and find a fairly simple dining room with an order window and two very friendly ladies ready to take your order and send you merrily on your way, hands full of piping hot breakfast tacos. Although I was only ordering for two, I decided at such a bargain price, I needed to sample a bit of everything. So, when I tell you the tacos are delish, please know I took a bite of many. The tortillas are homemade, the toppings were prepared as I ordered, and anything you order with cheese is super super cheesy. I always give an establishment a second chance. After having a bad lunch experience several months ago, I decided to drop by for breakfast - wow, a quality meal for a very good price. The hot sauce and chips are awesome, the coffee is good as well... my only thing with this place is the customer service can improve a bit and it can also sometimes lack when it gets busy not to mention owner parks both of his personal cars right in front leaving customers to park sometimes as far as other side of parking lot lol. 2 STARS! Nothing out the ordinary here. The service is subpar but they only had one waiter. I received a soup that I didn't order but I ate it because it seemed very interesting. I wanted the shrimp soup but instead I got a soup filled with crawfish, shrimp, clams, octupus, squid and talapia. The fish was the best part and I enjoyed the squip but the shrimp was over cooked and the clams lacked substanance. The octapus was very chewy and somehow lacked good flavor. The bean dip was extra but I needed something to snack on. The chips came in a small cup so we had to keep asking for more. The bottom of the chip cup was soggy. The salsa comes in two versions, red and green. The red is too spicy for dipping chips in but the green is perfect for mixing in with the bean dip. Do that! The green chile enchilandas are bland lacking chicken flavor and the chicken was rather dry. The rice was wet and didn't stick although I'd rather have this than dry rice. Enjoy! read more

I love this place! Biggest issue how ever is that They dont serve dinner and have limited hours. Its also made confusing because if you face the gas station, they are located to the right, and a terrible mexican restaurant with a bar inside is located to the left. So yelpers keep coming on here and changing the menu and hours to match this other restaurant and sadly leaving negative reviews. One of these negative reviews even says to "go a little further to Mariscos Marisol for better food!" Please yelpers, pay attention to where you eat, and what page you are reviewing. This is my favorite little taco joint and I dont want to see them close because you are all reviewing the wrong place. The taco's are legit on homemade tortillas, lots of meat fillings and delicious bottled and home made sauces. Please check them out, and please double check what restaurant you go into. Fantastic spot for traditional Mexican breakfast food. The lunch/dinner menu looks good too but I visited for breakfast on a recommendation. The service makes you feel like you've been welcomed into someone's home. The coffee is exceptionally smooth with a hint of cinnamon. We attended a fundraiser last night that was catered by Mariscos Marisol. I was not familiar with the restaurant though I had driven by it countless times. I could not get enough of their food! There were numerous options offered at the dinner but unfortunately I don't remember what everything was named, but so delicious! Chicken with zucchini & chicharonnes in a green sauce was delicious as well as pork with napalitos & potatoes in a rich red sauce. Ceviche and pico was yum and the fajita meat had a wonderful flavor. So glad we had the opportunity to try their food and we are sold! This is not Tex-Mex! The bad reviews are years ago, so don't let them stop you! read more

This place was absolutely horrible. The food was terrible and our service was terrible. The food is ridiculously over priced and the portions are smaller the most kid meals at other restaurants. Not to mention the guy behind the bar coughed into his hand several times and continued to make drinks and touch limes, etc. WITHOUT washing his hands...disgusting! As soon as my boyfriend and I left we called the health department. This place is a joke , go next door better to Aguas calientes next to valero . Tortillas here are partial greenish raw, they ran out of chips and tea. I ordered seafood 7 mares soup and it had no taste at all . Fish tasted kinda hard like left over from day before. One cup of water is all the waitress brought me , lasted 10 minutes without a refill. Did not leave a tip at all . Wasted my entire day thinking how bad it was . Never again !!!! read more

My favorite neighborhood taco joint. What is good is very, very good but they serve some items that are not good so you have to order different dishes and decide for yourself what suites your tastes. For me the breakfast plates are heavenly and the breakfast sandwich is amazing. The morning coffee is all flavored with cinammon, which I don't like, but thats what the owner likes so I go to the convenience store next door and get my regular coffee there. The tortas, burritos, sopas, soups, tostadas, and ala carte tacos are all outstanding (try the fish taco or the gringa taco). read more
