I've gone with my family and friends a few times, food is ok, prices are a little higher than other local pizza places, the cleanliness is not up to par, the floors are visibly dirty, the bathrooms are dirty and the staff isn't as friendly as you would expect. Oh no! Anyas! We tried Anyas today and another Italian spot yesterday (chain eatery). I was expecting a little more but kept my expectations to a minimum when my fiancé told me when she was getting Anyas today. I was really upset prior to my meal finding out that i was coming home from work to leftovers (shared plates) because i definitely felt like I had a certain expectation going into this: The garlic bread: I could've warmed up a hot dog bun and slabbed lightly a generic a garlic butter myself. The Eggplant Parm: Thought it was vegetarian (no worries about the hunk of meats, yet problematic for a vegetarian), the hunks of meat were bland and unremarkable. The eggplant was reminiscent of a Chile relleno you forgot about in your takeout box, very bland, oily, yet somehow undercooked! The Spaghetti that comes with the Eggplant: Pasta was extremely over cooked. Goodness gracious, someone left spaghetti cooking for an hour and forgot to add salt. Seriously, what is the antithesis of al dente? The sauce? My fiancé joked that she could've dumped San Marzano tomatoes without any sprucing up and it would do the Spaghetti justice. I sadly, agree. The Dinner Salad: Advertised with pepperoni and feels like 4 pepperoni were accidentally dropped into the salad. All romaine hearts. Dressing was very close to a fat-free vinaigrette from the market. Food was OK for a pizza place. I took my two small grandsons there for dinner and when they were done, they went to the game room. The race car game ate one grandson's quarters with no play. OK that happens. My other grandson dropped his two quarters into a non-electric rubber ball game which spits out a small rubber ball after you paddle it through a hole. No ball came out. From the outside of the game, it looked like there were plenty of balls but when you light up the ball feed area, all those balls are blocked from dropping into the ball feed device. That is intentional. OK, you want to rip the beer drinkers a little, oh well. But kids? Come on.
