This place is something that was recommended and it was okay. It was just like Courage bagels in CA. Nothing special. We ordered and noticed people who ordered after us were getting their food and leaving. My friend went to ask and the guy taking our order didn't realize that the machine was not connected to the internet for 8 minutes. So we were waiting and our order didn't even go through. If we didn't say anything we would've been there for a long time. Friends got the salmon lox and there wasn't enough cream cheese or lox. We got more at Russ & Daughters. They weren't impressed. My bagel with butter andand jam was okay. Want anything special either. Wouldn't recommend to friends visiting.

Probably now my favorite bagel in NYC! Obsessed with the crunchy outside and soft inside - I'm usually an everything bagel person but the sesame was ELITE here, so sesame forward and aromatic. Sourdough tang was excellent. The whitefish salad changed my life and I might like it even more than the lox, which is usually my favorite. Cream cheese & jam on plain bagel was good but I think I like the open-faced sandwich style better for bagels. Will definitely be back, new go-to for bagels and bagel sandwiches for sure. I had placed a to-go pickup order at like 2AM for later at noon and I think the system just messed up or they didn't see it, but the staff were all super nice about it and got my order expedited. Also pro-tip if you want drinks but put in an online order - you don't have to wait in the main line and they can just ring you up for the drinks if you walk up to the pickup area.

I read many good things about Apollo Bagels and checked out their 35th Street location this morning. Arrived around 8:00AM before it got too crowded and the line moved fairly quickly. Ordered the Everything Bagel with regular cream cheese and smoked salmon along with Orange Juice. The flavor did not necessarily stand out from others I have had but the crunchy texture certainly did. Solid bagel all around.

Every single video you've seen about this place is true. Worth every single bit of hype. Get your behind in this line ASAP! Apollo Bagels just might be my new favorite bagel spot in the city! We got the Tomato & Smoked Salmon, both on Everything bagels, as well as an OJ. Holy moly! The bagels were so crispy, fresh, and not overly bready. The Tomato is pretty simple (tomatoes, cream cheese & olive oil), but it's such a great combo! Perfect for a light, yet filling brekkie. The Smoke Salmon was a classic (smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, red onions & dill) done sooo right. Literally no notes! The OJ was fresh squeezed- tart, pulpy, and delish. This location is prettyyy big. It wasn't too hard to find seating since people are usually in and out. Tables or counters lined the walls on both sides.

Sometimes I get hyper-fixated on breakfast foods, and for my birthday all I wanted was breakfast all day. I know it sounds a little weird, but I leaned into it and went to Apollo Bagels. The tomato bagel is definitely worth the hype. The everything bagel was perfection ;freshly baked with that ideal crunchy exterior and soft inside. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the seasoning on the tomatoes with olive oil and pepper really worked. Simple, flavorful, and done really well. This is easily one of the top bagels I've had and I will absolutely be coming back. The $6 orange juice felt a little steep, but it was freshly squeezed, so I'll take it.

A complete surprise visit but was well worth stopping in. Was looking for some breakfast before catching a train and saw this place and how popular it was. Line was long but moved quickly. I got the smoked salmon on a everything bagel. Bagel was soft and fresh. It still had the needed firmness too. The cream cheese was nice and rich which paired perfectly with the smoked salmon's savory flavor. Inside it's no frills just tables and benches with simple menu. What exactly you are looking for.

Not gonna lie, kind of worth the hype. Food was really and staff was really nice. First bite into that tomato - bagel was crispy on outside and doughy inside. The tomato was refreshing. So good! Lox was also really good. Bagel was not as crispy but with all the works it was tasty. The added lemon squeeze gave it a nice zest to it. Highly recommend def worth a try.

Generally, I'm a fan of Apollo, having been to their other locations, but maybe something's changed? I got the tomato and cream cheese on an everything bagel, and it was so salty that I couldn't finish it. The bagel was crispy and probably good on its own, but the amount of salt took away from what is usually a more refreshing bagel. On the other hand, the other people I was with really enjoyed theirs! They got the jam one and the lox one, finishing both, so hopefully this was a fluke.

Bagel was yummy! We had to wait in a small line on a Wednesday morning. We trekked from midtown down to the village to try these bagels before we flew back home. It was worth it! We enjoyed it across the street with a cappuccino. This place is clearly popular and not that big, but fortunately, the line moves pretty fast.

I thought for sure that Apollo would be overhyped, but was pleasantly surprised - and wrong! Every single bite was perfectly seasoned and salty with a crispy exterior finish. The tomato was fresh and delightful. The smoked salmon was so soft and tender, with the dill and red onion balancing the flavor. I waited about 10-15 minutes, and avoided a huge line by going around 10AM instead of peak morning hours. The bagels were still delicious after a 30 minute walk.

Long line decent service. The tomato bagel was delicious as well as orange juice and plain bagel was good but I needed a little something. There is a bathroom located inside which was clean. Tables are difficult to come by as expected but we were able to make a table for 2 work for the 4 of us.

Best bagels I had! Absolutely so delicious! Smoked salmon is a must try, super flavorful. My kids love the butter and jam bagel.

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.

You cannot order a single bagel, you must order your bagels in 3s. So if you're not a big back and instead are a loser with no friends, you might have more bagels than you can eat. The bagels come whole and you're supposed to rip them and dip them into the cream cheese, and there's many smears to choose from, which is a plus. However, this requires a two hand situation, which means it's difficult to eat on the go, and the seating inside is limited. I did not realize this at first and I was trying to slice my bagel in half with a butter knife, and I failed and started ripping it to shreds in a fit of passion and rage. That when I saw their neon sign that says "GRIP. RIP. DIP," which sounds sexual, and realized that's the concept and intention. My advice--if you're gonna visit, come with a couple friends so you can try the bagels without having to eat 3. And bring hand sanitizer so you're not ripping up the bagel with your filthy subway fingers.
