I went to get their tuna melts. still as good as ever! use to just accept cash. now quite happily the new owners accept cards too. I'll miss the old owners and so wish them well. there's a restroom out back ask for the key. you won't be disappointed as it been beautifully remodeled new sink and accompaniments. I think the owners are a son and father. the sons name is manuel. I went with a friend. I grew up around this restaurant my whole life but never went. my first time was in 2014 and it was for a tun melt which I'd also never had growing up. I'm 1967 born. I road in the burbank parade on a pony as boy when the parade route followed glenoaks. pin ball plus arcade now domino's use to be next door to this restaurant. it's a great corner. I can't rave and gush enough about this quaint and charming establishment. there's quite the goodies on their menu board too. try the glacier tropical citrus drinks. traverse the front side stairs. I have been coming here for their bacon breakfast burritos for nearly 8 years now. When I first started coming it was the best thing ever! Ridiculous amounts of bacon and cheese and I believe it was $3.50. Best thing before school for sure! In the last 2 years or so, it has gotten worse and worse. The portions of meat get smaller and smaller, the prices go up every few months or so, and the burritos get smaller and smaller almost everytime I go. I love this place so much though that I was still trying to give it a chance everytime I went but today was the worst breakfast burrito I have ever had. The eggs were terrible and under cooked. They made me vomit about an hour after eating the burrito - the whole thing came up. The bacon was also burnt and cold and I got about 3 bites with bacon in them, the rest seemed to be just cheap egg, barely even any hash browns. If you want an egg burrito, come here. If you want a breakfast burrito with a lot of meat and cheese go to Norms down the street. My friends have randomly taken me there for a breakfast burrito and it was absolutely amazing!! Came here on Friday got a breakfast burrito, went back to my workplace opened up my burrito to eat and it was all fucked up. Bread looked like it was falling apart they threw a whole piece of Bacon in there half cooked I took one bite and it was so disgusting I threw it right in the trash called the place told the kid about it and he said he wrote my number down and he would hook me up next time. They were using some other tortilla bread because they were out of the original ones they use and that shit was nasty. Called today on a Monday ordered another burrito told him about the situation last time the kid didn't say anything I came to pick up my order which he was supposed to give it on the house and this kid has the audacity to tell me I call too much to get free shit when I have done it twice in my life because I didn't get what I paid for and that I have to pay for it this time, maybe if u don't fuck my burrito up I wouldn't called. When a restaurant puts "Burbank's Best Breakfast Burrito" right on their front window I don't expect much cause Burbank doesn't have any decent burrito spots along the lines of Lucky Boy in Pasadena. That includes Corner Cottage where I think they must age their burrito as a part of the process since it takes 40 minutes to serve you. Moving along.... Just throwing two eggs, a slice (yes a slice) of cheese, two pieces of bacon, and two sausages doesn't qualify as "best burrito" anywhere. Especially when you charge extra for hash browns and extra meat (required to make it good), making my burrito a grand total of $6.50! On its face they make an "egg and cheese burrito with a splash of protein"; you must customize to get it right (add meat add hash). When you do that it's a good burrito, but not "best". Sadly, Burbank is lacking a true breakfast burrito establishment. Corner Cottage is probably the rightful owner of this award, but only cause there's no Lucky Boy in town. Allow me to use this space to explain when you chop up the guts of the burrito (as Corner Cottage does) you are hiding the flavors in each of the layers ("hi, can I get my burrito BLENDED?"), and more importantly hiding the fact that they give you a low quantity of expensive bits (cheese and meat). That's how desperate we are for a real breakfast burrito in Burbank: we call Corner Cottage and Apollo "best". I'll drive to Pasadena if I want to eat like a man. Because what makes a breakfast burrito special is the ratio of meat and cheese (the expensive bits) to eggs and browns (the cheap bits), along with the overall weight (quantity of ingredients). Apollo is average in this regard. All of Burbank is actually. That said, this was a good enough burrito, and I would consider returning because service was good and location is convenient. You can't always eat at 4-5 star places. read more

I am a corner cottage customer, but because they always have long lines which makes me late to work, i started going to Apollo. Every day i have bad service, but today topped it all. in my 50 years experience with restaurants, i have never had such a bad treatment and lousy service with any other restaurant. The 2 hispanic girls are not only rude but also rasist. they were very rude to me even though i always tip them well. today their treatment was so bad that i didn't touch the food and started walking out, the owner was there and did not even do anything about it, as if she didn't care.( I guess it takes one to work with one) they gave my money back as i started walking out, but kept my tip. the food is not even that great to make up for the bad service.i will never go there again and tell all my family and friends to do the same. whoever said they are the best breakfast in burbank, surely hasn't had the best. there are many places with good food and great service with a smile in burbank. but apollo is not one of them, that's for sure. if you want to be treated bad, pay cash only, and get lousy food, go to Apollo's. read more

I just hate the service, which I think is so bad, that i dont even want to order any food from them or give them business. I called them to make a large order of breakfast burritos, and asked them to put the names on the wrapper. The lady rudley stated that their too busy to do that. I've live here in Burbank for 12 years now. I always pass by this restaurant so many times whenever the 5 freeway is jammed. So me and the wife decided to give this joint a shot. To my disappointment the Burger patty is not fresh, taste like it was thawed and frozen again and again. The burrito is not even that good. We have eaten burrito's from roach coaches that taste way better. Cash only! Spent 21 bucks for 2 combo meals way too expensive for some crappy food. Take my advice don't ever eat here. Quality of the burger sucks and the place is like an old worn down donut shop. Eat at your own risk.
