For a small little coffee shop with prices everyone can afford this place is delicious! The prices are great and the food is just like making an everyday breakfast at home without the clean up. Small restaurant off Valley Blvd, very homey with good food, and some very hard working women! Every time I drop my car off at Longos I walk over for breakfast. Never been disappointed, coffee keeps flowing, I'd go with the Chorzo or Huevos or the burrito as the best bets. read more

Just moved to Rosemead and just googled this place, wanted some breakfast. Honestly it needs a major face-lift. The food was mediocre, no love. The host or cashier, not sure, was great and hospitable but the place looked like a living room. I work in service and I hate leaving anything less than 5 stars so I won't but to the owner- your place has so much potential just needs a makeover, definitely more love into the food for I noticed the sausages look straight out of a Walmart frozen section, bacon also. I know times are tough and inflation is impacting everyone but a little TLC and better quality food won't hurt and will keep people coming back. God speed. read more

If you're looking for ambiance, this is not the spot. It used to be an old DMV and it looks like it. If you're looking for a bang for you buck, however, this place is AMAZING. So far above the price / value curve it's kind of ridiculous. Since they serve American, Mexican, Chinese, and Korean, it's good no matter what you're in the mood for! My husband and I ate breakfast here yesterday. I was excited to try it after reading so many good reviews. We were totally disappointed and will never eat there again! We both ordered huevos rancheros. He asked for no cheese on his and potatoes instead of rice. After waiting well over 30 minutes, we finally got our food. Unfortunately, there was cheese on both plates & both plates had potatoes. The waiter took our plates back. We got our order again & this time, both had NO cheese & my plate still had potatoes rather than rice. I again complained. I got my order for the 3rd time after my husband was already finished with his breakfast. After all of this, the huevos rancheros weren't even good. They weren't authentic and had no taste. The waiter was terrible! All in all, it was a very bad experience! Never again! read more

I am forever looking for new breakfast joints around San Gabriel and they are few and far between. Apple Jack's is a good, cheap 'greasy spoon'. Place is small and only takes cash, but it was pretty busy. I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs with coffee and my bill was just over $9. That is a great price! Also their homemade salsa was awesome. Only reason for four stars is the general cleanliness of the place. I will definitely come back. read more

Really enjoyed this place! Got the avocado bacon omelette, only thing I'd change is real cheddar cheese and avocado on top instead of inside, but that's personal preference, it was still very yummy! The churro waffle was delicious too, and eggs were cooked well, not too dry or runny, just good and scrambled. This place is cash only and they don't have an atm, but they pointed us towards the barbershop nearby that does and it was smooth enough! Decent coffee too. read more

I used to go here when I was younger, but as someone who is older with more refined tastes, really, this places charges you cheap prices for food that tastes like it was from your favorite TV dinner. Cheap - Yes Good - No I just had two dry pork loins, box made mashed potatoes with a blob of margarine on top, corn out of a can, garlic bread made out of a hotdog bun and a bowl of soup that was unrecognized. You cannot make this stuff up. Total price was under $7.00 but I could not eat it and am heading to Taco Bell for lunch. Perhaps breakfast is better than lunch. I found this place on Yelp. I thought I give this place a try. It's in a little plaza with lots of parkings. The place is small inside. It's about 15 tables. This place is very old and unappealing. The price is very cheap. We got there after 11am. One old guy cooking and one waitress does everything. An Asian lady owner. We didn't know they don't accept debit card. My husband had to stay. So I had to go to an atm. Luckily there's a Bank of America on Ramona less than a mile. It didn't say anything not accept credit cards anywhere on the doors or inside. It did say on Yelp not accepting credit cards. Not everybody goes on Yelp to see that. read more

It used to be a diner style restaurant but they tore that down in about the late 90's to build the senior citizen apartments that are next door now. Place used to be full of cops because Pauline (owner) always gives those pigs free breakfast. The food is super cheap. and its delicious. alot of cops still frequent the new hole in the wall location. The regulars from before still come in a little on the elderly side now. my dad included. for lunch i recommend the teriyaki. for breakfast pancakes are always awesome. or the Denver omelet.
