Vida Mezcal - v v good !
Sushil P.

The highlight was Vida Mezcal - absolutely amazing! The drinks were top-notch and crafted with real care. If the service had matched the quality of the cocktails, this could've been a great experience. Unfortunately, the service from Ximena really brought things down. It felt like she didn't want to be there -- slow, inattentive, and lacking basic courtesy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's hard to enjoy such a vibrant place when the energy at the table is off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On the food side, the sushi was solid, and overall, the dishes were above average - but nothing stood out quite like the Mezcal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Aquifer 65 has potential, especially with a bar like that set against an awesome Lobby with views of resort.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just hope the service improves to match it.

Great spot for a quick sushi bite. I was visiting from LA and staying at the JW Marriott, so having this right in the hotel made it super convenient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lobby setup was fun, sports were on the TVs, and the vibe was lively but relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sushi was fresh, tasted great, and came out quickly. Perfect for an easy meal without any hassle. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would definitely come back for another casual stop.

Wife and I just got in town for a few day came in to grab a bite. I ordered an old fashioned and it came out not good I asked another bartender what they put in them and she explained and that's not what was in mine. She remade the drink and it is 1000% better. And then comes the check, $60 for 1 ice tea 1 order of 3 sliders and $27 for a Basil Hayden Old Fashion. Really? Even the Old Fashion on the menu is $19 and it's made with Angel's Envy this bourbon cost more than B/H. I think the bartender charges what they want they think if the bill it larger they are going to get a better tip. When my wife ordered the iced tea the bartender rolled his eyes like really your at a bar and you get tea. I guess becuase I asked for it to be remade correctly so I got charged more to make up for his screw up. That's $8 more for a 1oz drink that was poured in a glass full of ice, where's the large ice?

Date of Visit: 7/5/2024 Worst service! We visited the Aquifer 65 lobby lounge at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa at around 10:50pm. We sat at the table and tried to order a cocktail with 3 servers. Finally after we ordered with one of the server, another server came by and asked us to order at the bar since he said the table service has ended. However, there was still table service for few tables around us 10min after that!

JW Marriott roll w/ yellowtail

We ordered the JW roll with yellowtail instead of albacore, the crunchy roll & the chicken wings & all of the dishes were sooo good. The JW roll was my fav. I also loved whatever kind of ranch was served with the wings, it wasn't regular ranch.

Great service, quiet and prívate ambiance. Manny is a great attentive server, answered all of our questions better than the front desk could!

Desert Pear Mai Tai

We recently stayed at the JW Marriott Desert Springs and went to the Aquifer 65 (lobby bar). The bar is very lively and had great entertainment and the food smelled amazing! We just got drinks to take around the resort and all of the bartenders were very friendly and hospitable. We ordered the Desert Pear Mai Tei ($15) and it was very tasty and was a good pour. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're staying at the JW or in the Palm Desert area!

When you enjoy a dish there and want to have it again rest assured it is the same fabulous taste as your initial time! We have had steaks, pastas, salads ,, pizza and wines and I have loved every dish I tried. The short ribs are luscious . My favorite salad is the beet salad. Always so fresh and so many flavors in one salad! The Pork Chop is excellent too. It's difficult to find a Chef who can get a pork chop just right. This chef nails it everytime!! There is a little area with high top tables Where one can catch a ball game and also one tv in one of the eating areas but they are not at all intrusive. There typically not many children when we are there but when they have been they have been well mannered at very young ages and they make dining fun! I have no negatives which is highly unusual for me (just ask my husband!!)wonderful overall experience. If you want a bit more time between courses just tell your waiter. They are very accommodating!! PS Roy the bartender is really nice and fun. Try it!!

We started with dinner and ended up staying for the music, dancing, and all the fun that makes The Nest such a special place. I ordered the chicken piccata and honestly, it was the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful, and even though we were seated near the piano in the bar area where it can get a little loud, that's part of what makes it such a fun atmosphere. The best part of the night was having everyone together. My niece's boyfriend was visiting from Ireland, and we laughed and danced all night. I especially loved seeing my sister-in-law out on the dance floor and having so much fun. It was one of those nights where people of all ages were dancing, laughing, and just enjoying being together. We had such a great time that they went back again the very next night. The live music was fantastic, and it was great seeing Nick on saxophone. The crowd was a fun mix, the energy was high, and the whole place just felt happy. A coworker recently went during Restaurant Week and couldn't stop talking about the steak, the generous portions, and the peanut butter pie. The Nest has been a desert favorite for years, and there's a reason. It's always nice to see Dodi there and how much pride she takes in the restaurant. Most people think of The Nest for the music and dancing, but don't miss the food. It really is that good! One tip: go early or make a dinner reservation so you don't end up waiting in line. The Nest is still one of the most fun places in the desert!

It was a hot day, and we were seated outside. The misters and fan made the hot environment much more comfortable. Things were going well until it was time to order. One of the folks in our party requested to have her check separate, at which point, certain parties also decided to request separate checks. Our waiter initially said he would be willing to cut the checks however we wanted, which we did. As he finished taking our order, he walked into the main entry door way and gave a large sigh saying "Ayayay" as if he was bothered that we requested separate checks. I turned his way and saw that he was caught with his sigh. That left a bad taste for our party during the meal. We eventually let that go, and when it was time for dessert, we ordered 2 desserts, and before we gave him the 2 desserts we wanted, our server sarcastically stated with an attitude, "Who is paying for the desserts?". Again, that didn't sit well with us. I believe the main servers' name was Ramiro. Tall gentleman with glasses. There was another individual who was helping him refill coffees/teas at the table along with other small requests. He was very nice and friendly and demonstrated customer friendly at ALL TIMES despite the numerous requests for refills. The food overall was pretty good and tasty. Great coffee. A fine dining experience. I am giving this experience an overall 2 because of how our main server demonstrated less than customer friendly service to the customers sitting at the table. I would ask that management remind their servers to maintain a more professional/service friendly demeanor at all times despite how busy they are.
