Carbonara - my absolute favorite, ended up adding an extra order for the table as one was not enough
    Cindy H.

Arancino is a long standing authentic Italian restaurant known for their incredible uni pasta, risotto made table side in cheese wheel, and crispy thin pizzas. If you enjoy authentic and fresh Italian cuisine, you simply can't go wrong with any dish, though my personal favorite is the amazingly flavorful and creamy carbonara. Expect to see lots of Japanese tourists here, the restaurant has a cult following having been featured in every major Japanese guidebook to Hawaii over many decades. I still remember the first time I dined at Arancino, I came with a large group of friends a few days before my wedding on this beautiful island. My wedding party had friends from both coasts and around the world, and everyone was blown away by the amazing feast. Now I'm back with my lovely extended family, and even my nephew, a picky eater devoured his kids bolognese pasta and fresh focaccia. Service is always incredibly friendly, efficient, and accommodating, theres really nothing more you can ask for...except for maybe stronger AC...it does get quite warm in the cozy restaurant, be prepared to cool off with lots of cold drinks!

Bummed that I didn't love this place! Started off rocky when we walked up & were asked if we had a reservation, we said we didn't & asked if we needed one. Instantly I could feel the vibe was off as we didn't get a response. If we needed a reservation, that's no big deal! That was our bad for not checking. They eventually "squeezed" us in, & asked if we would be done in 1 hour as that was when their next reservation was. Super weird to me, we don't want to be a bother if a place is all booked up. I can understand if they were trying to be nice squeezing us between reservations, but it didn't feel welcoming at all. The restaurant is intimate & well kept. Our server was really sweet. The food just didn't hit the mark for me. The pasta tasted bland & seemed overpriced to me for what it was.

This place is my favorite Italian spot on island to be honest. I ALWAYS come here for their carbonara, easily their best item. My friend also got the margherita pizza and that was pretty good as well. Everything here is amazing. The ambiance is quite casual and looks like a traditional Italian restaurant. The servers are great on checking up and refilling any of our needs.

Review 32 (2026) Lunch time. We booked at 11am. I went there a little earlier, but they let me in. When entered, they greeted "Buongiorno" in Italian " Welcome". I was seated before 11am. My husband arrived a little later. We usually ordered lunch set $28( Kamaaina discount price is $21 with State ID). We ordered Ala carte at this time. We had, Caesar salad and Uni pasta to share. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Manager came to our table and said Hi. We didn't order many but their service was great. Caesar salad was always delicious. Recommend asking for fresh grind black pepper. Uni pasta is so rich and creamy. Uni pasta is my favorite, whenever we come to Arancino we never missed ordering. We will come back soon again. Thank you so much. I already booked in August at Arancino at Kahala to celebrate for my daughter and myself birthday.

A taste of Italy in the heart of Waikiki -- wow! Our server, Rachel, was such a gem. She was so pleasant and had plenty of recommendations (which we heeded, since she had answers to all our questions). I got the Risotto ai Funghi, which Rachel finished preparing right by our table by mixing it in an imported cheese wheel. The experience of seeing the pasta being tossed and finished in the cheese elevated the experience -- and it tasted amazing. We also got the Carpaccio di Capesante, which is the scallop sashimi topped with caviar and sea asparagus. That was also fantastic! Rachel brought focaccia to the table as well, which was nice and crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. We finished up with the sorbetto and tiramisu. It may be a little pricey, depending on what you get. But I'd say it's definitely worth the experience! The inside of the restaurant was... cozy. We were almost elbow-to-elbow with another party. It was also a tad warm inside, but we are in Hawaii, so that's to be expected. But the tablecloths and wall decorations inside were very cute, too! Overall, a great experience. I'd love to go back!

We stumbled on to this little gem when walking to the beach one day and I knew I wanted to come back! We had the 28.00 lunch special and some of the best margarita pizza we've ever had! The lobster bisque was also to die for! All made in house including the tiramisu...WOW is all we can say!!!! Shout out to our server Rachel and Stacy the owner who made us feel so welcome.

Wow. Probably the best Italian food I've ever had. We eat a lot of Italian in every major city. The Uni pasta the kids loved and got one each (the wouldn't share because we had it at their other location - they knew how good it was). The fruitti di mare was incredible. Spicy, well balanced tomato flavors - not acidic - lots of garlic, chili pepper - heat level 7/10, and the best - the texture of the pasta was perfectly al Dente. Slippery, delectable, and so incredible. Blown away. This location has AC. The focaccia is fluffy to start and complimentary. The service is great and you can see their pride in their food. Price point is around $30-50/dish, but worth every penny. I'm coming back just to eat here next month from LA. It's worth breaking your diet for.

Came here for a family dinner, kind staff and good vibes. The food was good, but definitely not the best Italian that I've had. I got the seafood pasta dish and usually, I love seafood. The flavor wasn't really there, but it was okay. All of the other dishes were great and I generally don't like tiramisu, but I really liked the tiramisu here.

We talked to Rocket... asking about the restaurant. He steered us to eat here. Best food we've had in Waikiki! Ceasar salad, A Calamari (fresh & tender), A- Carbonaro pasta,A Risotto mushroom......A-... cooked at the table with huge aged cheese, what a treat. Each dish was excellence on display. Service was spot on polished, great team work, regular check ins.... just a great experience and delicious food. Waitress was Minami.... also was great. Thank you everybody for a great dinner. Ambiance is like going to Italy (close space, happy ppl and great food.

Dropped by for lunch and really enjoyed it! They offer a $28 lunch set with a choice of pasta or pizza. I went with the pasta with a Caesar salad. The salad was fresh and tasty, and the bolognese was served hot and flavorful. It was a touch on the salty side, so I felt a little thirsty afterward, but still very satisfying overall. They also make this lunch set as a Kamaaina special for $21, which is a great deal for lunch in Waikiki. Thank you for the wonderful meal and friendly service!

Love this restaurant, very cozy ambiance, amazing food and service. Our server Rachel made our experience amazing. I came in wanting the caprese salad but found out they were out of it for the night, Rachel suggested we add mozzarella to the arugula prosciutto salad and it was absolutely delicious. After starting with the salad we had lobster bisque with their complimentary bread, both very tasty. For our entrees I had the carbonara which was delicious, and my boyfriend had a squid ink pasta. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best Italian restaurant I've have been to. Food was great, uni pasty have this amazing tasty to it. I know it's not for everyone, but this pasta is very different I've tried. Staff , everyone was very friendly and pay very attentive to everyone in the restaurant. Very clean restaurant inside too. Parking is one of the hardest thing here , some street parking but hard to find. Or valet parking next door hotel , but it's very expensive.

I've walked past this place for years and always assumed it had to be a tourist trap. However, I recently went and am so glad, what a hidden, in obvious site, gem! Trattoria aesthetic and vibes. Busy, but also not so much that can't score a last minute reservation, which is sometimes difficult for a sit down in Waikiki. The service was friendly; server was courteous and our table side pasta preparer had personality which is always fun for a presentation. Ambiance is elevated casual and can be a bit loud as the tables are close together and it gets packed. The menu has a nice mix of Italian favorites. The arancini were delicious. We shared 2 pastas. The table side prepared Cacio e Pepe, loved the presentation. We also ordered the Carbonara, a bit overly salty but expected and delicious nonetheless. The pastas were both cooked perfectly. We also ordered 3 glasses of wine. All nice, I loved they had Barolo by the glass! While this is common in Oahu (and most tropical locals to be honest) I was a little shocked an Italian place would serve overly chilled (think glass sweating level as if you had a glass of ice water) red wine. Luckily it was only 1 of the 3 (and not mine, lol. My companion did not mind it so was a win). To stay true to my initial impression of tourist trap, they do have a photographer come around and take your photos. A nice souvenir to take home! Though cheesy I actually liked this and think it's wonderful for tourists to have a little vacation memory. I will 100% be back and this is now added to my rotation when craving a delicious Italian pasta.

What really made our visit stand out, though, was the service. I wish I could remember our cashier's/server's name because she deserves a shoutout. My son and I both have food allergies, so before ordering we needed to make sure everything was safe for us to eat. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions. She also helped me figure out which pasta would be the best choice for my picky 7-year-old and even arranged for the grilled chicken to be served on the side instead of mixed into the pasta. That small accommodation made all the difference since my son wouldn't have touched it otherwise. The portion size was perfect for sharing between the two of us, and we both left happy (which is saying a lot when dining with a picky eater!). Between the fresh, flavorful food and the exceptional customer service, this was a wonderful experience. Our meal was brought out in a timely manner and Grace was an attentive server. The Caesar dressing is perfection! The diavolo sauce was delicious and just-right spicy. We loved the meatballs and the fettuccine was cooked perfectly. The pizza!!!!! Wow. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and the toppings were a delicious combination of flavors. The focaccia with marinara could have been a meal for me. The bread was hot and crispy while also being soft and savory. I couldn't get enough of the marinara. We had a lot of leftovers and ate some for dinner and still have more for tomorrow. Repetti's will be a new place for us to dine and bring friends as often as possible. We were so impressed and could not have wanted any of the experience to be different. Fantastic in every way!

Wait times were minimal between ordering, appetizers, main course, and dessert. Although I ate leisurely, I was there for about 90 minutes. The atmosphere is so enjoyable, especially if you get outdoor seating. Cool, quiet, intimate. . Salads with every entree as well as bread? Makes the prices worthwhile. Every pasta dish was delicious: baked ziti, fettucine, pesto sauce. 10/10. Pizza and calzones if you have someone in your party who doesn't want traditional. We had a family dinner--for eight--at Mangiamo by 604. I was excited to have my father and brother…read moreexperience this establishment, as I had a great experience two years ago. My father and brother are both military veterans and enjoyed the fact that this venue was situated at a golf course they patronized before. We all ordered drinks--I ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of the Half-off Wine Wednesdays; some tried the alcohol specials and others simply elected to have soda. I ordered a few appetizers for the table and those went quickly: calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke dip. Yum! Main entrees followed and everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only reason for not giving five stars has to do with the outdoor seating. I wish the chairs were more comfortable, as we sat there for awhile, waiting for our server to take our large group order along with waiting for food to come out. There is adequate parking and the restrooms are clean and accessible. An elevator is located in the lobby for those who are not able to easily climb the flight of stairs to the venue. I wish the signage was better, as my 74 year old father took the outside steps, as he thought that was the entrance, per signage downstairs.

I don't know how the elderly lady with walker was able to get up the stairs or they weren't able to dine there. I didn't mind this place. It's not like Assaggio, but more like Olive Garden. Food was okay but the view and ambience were nice, especially at Christmas at Night! It's a huge restaurant with seating for parties with a lot of free parking shared with the golfers at the golf course. Indoor and outdoor seating. The last time, my friends weren't too impressed, but we did try variety of dishes from pizza, salad, pasta and appetizers. They have some specials from time to time. So sad that tomorrow is their last day of business according to my friend. Sad to see many restaurants are closing soon.
