Finally got to try Arancino on Beach walk, I got to try all the other locations except this one til today. This location is the most casual out of them all and smaller than the other locations but still provides great food and service! The food was excellent and we had 2 waitresses helping us out. The manager (at least who we think was the manager lol) came around checking in on us. The food was great, pasta was amazing. Personally the pizza was just alright for the price and size. I just like my pizza sauce a little thicker and more cheese but maybe that's just a personal preference. The meat lovers pizza did have a good amount of pizza. Overall we had a great experience at this location. There are 2 parking lots close by but we lucked out and got the street parking right in front of the restaurant. We'll be back! read more

Arancino is a long standing authentic Italian restaurant known for their incredible uni pasta, risotto made table side in cheese wheel, and crispy thin pizzas. If you enjoy authentic and fresh Italian cuisine, you simply can't go wrong with any dish, though my personal favorite is the amazingly flavorful and creamy carbonara. Expect to see lots of Japanese tourists here, the restaurant has a cult following having been featured in every major Japanese guidebook to Hawaii over many decades. I still remember the first time I dined at Arancino, I came with a large group of friends a few days before my wedding on this beautiful island. My wedding party had friends from both coasts and around the world, and everyone was blown away by the amazing feast. Now I'm back with my lovely extended family, and even my nephew, a picky eater devoured his kids bolognese pasta and fresh focaccia. Bummed that I didn't love this place! Started off rocky when we walked up & were asked if we had a reservation, we said we didn't & asked if we needed one. Instantly I could feel the vibe was off as we didn't get a response. If we needed a reservation, that's no big deal! That was our bad for not checking. They eventually "squeezed" us in, & asked if we would be done in 1 hour as that was when their next reservation was. Super weird to me, we don't want to be a bother if a place is all booked up. I can understand if they were trying to be nice squeezing us between reservations, but it didn't feel welcoming at all. The restaurant is intimate & well kept. Our server was really sweet. Review 32 (2026) Lunch time. We booked at 11am. I went there a little earlier, but they let me in. When entered, they greeted "Buongiorno" in Italian " Welcome". I was seated before 11am. My husband arrived a little later. We usually ordered lunch set $28( Kamaaina discount price is $21 with State ID). We ordered Ala carte at this time. We had, Caesar salad and Uni pasta to share. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Manager came to our table and said Hi. We didn't order many but their service was great. Caesar salad was always delicious. Recommend asking for fresh grind black pepper. Uni pasta is so rich and creamy. Uni pasta is my favorite, whenever we come to Arancino we never missed ordering. We will come back soon again. A taste of Italy in the heart of Waikiki -- wow! Our server, Rachel, was such a gem. She was so pleasant and had plenty of recommendations (which we heeded, since she had answers to all our questions). I got the Risotto ai Funghi, which Rachel finished preparing right by our table by mixing it in an imported cheese wheel. The experience of seeing the pasta being tossed and finished in the cheese elevated the experience -- and it tasted amazing. We also got the Carpaccio di Capesante, which is the scallop sashimi topped with caviar and sea asparagus. That was also fantastic! Rachel brought focaccia to the table as well, which was nice and crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. We finished up with the sorbetto and tiramisu. It may be a little pricey, depending on what you get. But I'd say it's definitely worth the experience! The inside of the restaurant was... cozy. We were almost elbow-to-elbow with another party. It was also a tad warm inside, but we are in Hawaii, so that's to be expected. But the tablecloths and wall decorations inside were very cute, too! Overall, a great experience. Just ok. Not a lot of vegan options here. They were able to assemble a pasta with their arrabbiata sauce and veggies. My husband felt Brussel sprouts were not the best choice to add into this pasta but he ate it anyways. We had that, the pasta cacio de Pepe (very yummy), and a Caesar salad where I added grilled shrimp. I had one glass of wine and there may have been two sodas and one tiramisu. This meal for 3 came out to $180 which we felt was very steep for what we ordered. The Italian food is more Japanese fusion than traditional Italian. Wow. Probably the best Italian food I've ever had. We eat a lot of Italian in every major city. The Uni pasta the kids loved and got one each (the wouldn't share because we had it at their other location - they knew how good it was). The fruitti di mare was incredible. Spicy, well balanced tomato flavors - not acidic - lots of garlic, chili pepper - heat level 7/10, and the best - the texture of the pasta was perfectly al Dente. Slippery, delectable, and so incredible. Blown away. This location has AC. The focaccia is fluffy to start and complimentary. The service is great and you can see their pride in their food. Price point is around $30-50/dish, but worth every penny. I'm coming back just to eat here next month from LA. It's worth breaking your diet for. read more

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and to be very honest it seems as if the quality of the food has declined. Today I ordered Insalata Caprese, never expected to see 4 small ice cream scoops of caprese on the plate with cherry tomato's cut in half. The taste wasn't close to what real caprese should be, disappointing to say the least. The piece of bread served on the side was just that, nothing provided to amp it up, I guess it was supposed to be used after the caprese was gone to wipe the plate with. On to the Rigatoni Bolonese. I've walked past this place for years and always assumed it had to be a tourist trap. However, I recently went and am so glad, what a hidden, in obvious site, gem! Trattoria aesthetic and vibes. Busy, but also not so much that can't score a last minute reservation, which is sometimes difficult for a sit down in Waikiki. The service was friendly; server was courteous and our table side pasta preparer had personality which is always fun for a presentation. Ambiance is elevated casual and can be a bit loud as the tables are close together and it gets packed. The menu has a nice mix of Italian favorites. The arancini were delicious. We shared 2 pastas. The table side prepared Cacio e Pepe, loved the presentation. We also ordered the Carbonara, a bit overly salty but expected and delicious nonetheless. The pastas were both cooked perfectly. We also ordered 3 glasses of wine. All nice, I loved they had Barolo by the glass! While this is common in Oahu (and most tropical locals to be honest) I was a little shocked an Italian place would serve overly chilled (think glass sweating level as if you had a glass of ice water) red wine. Luckily it was only 1 of the 3 (and not mine, lol. My companion did not mind it so was a win). To stay true to my initial impression of tourist trap, they do have a photographer come around and take your photos. A nice souvenir to take home! Though cheesy I actually liked this and think it's wonderful for tourists to have a little vacation memory. My partner had wanted to take me to this restaurant for years, so I made a reservation for Valentine's Day, expecting a special evening. After we were seated and had already ordered drinks, appetizers, and soup, a manager came to our table and informed us that we only had one hour to dine. I don't recall seeing any notice of a time limit when I made the reservation. Being interrupted mid-meal to be told this was disappointing and disruptive. My partner was especially bothered, as it made the evening feel rushed and took away from what was meant to be a meaningful night. Another odd issue was that my entrée arrived about five minutes before my partner's. I ended up sharing mine with him until his dish came out, which added to the awkward timing of the meal. That said, our server was amazing--attentive, kind, and clearly doing their best despite the circumstances. If there is a dining time limit, it should be clearly communicated before confirming a reservation so guests can decide whether it works for them. Unfortunately, the lack of notice significantly impacted our Valentine's Day experience. read more

Must make a reservation a few weeks in advanced for best seating times. We made ours a few days before and the best time we could get was 7:30. Most walk ups had to wait 30-2 hours. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We started with the arugula with prosciutto salad and the Arancini balls. They also serve focaccia bread before the appetizers came out. Next came the pastas, on our first bite we thought it tasted exactly like we would find in Italy. The carbonara was in some cases better than Rome. Hands down, one of the best Italian meals I've ever had! The Spaghetti alla Carbonara was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced -- the sauce had that authentic, velvety texture with just the right amount of pancetta and pecorino. Every bite was pure comfort. I also tried the Rigatoni alla Bolognese, and it was absolutely incredible! Hearty, flavorful, and slow-cooked to perfection. The meat sauce clung beautifully to the rigatoni, and you could really taste the depth in every mouthful. Honestly, it was some of the best pasta I've ever had- both dishes were flawless. To top it off, the Aperol Spritz was refreshing and perfectly mixed, the ideal complement to the meal. Delicious! My husband and I decided to come here after seeing a line outside a few days prior. Usually, there's a reason there's a wait so we wanted to try it out. It's a small place, but they got us in fairly quickly. Cute place inside, and they do a good job of making the most of the space they have. Our server was very nice, super knowledgeable of the menu, and great with suggestions. I ordered the carbonara and my husband ordered the tagliatelle w/ prosciutto & funghi. Both were extremely good, particularly the tagliatelle. It had so much depth of flavor and my husband said it was easily top 3 pasta dishes he has ever had. I tried it as well, and it was absolutely delectable. We also ordered the affogato for dessert which was very good as well. Prices were reasonable, and the overall experience was great. Arancino is a pleasant spot that's been around for a very long time, with very good food. It was my first time there but my husband's been here multiple times over almost two decades. He says the taste has been consistently good over all that time. We shared the Insalata mista, and I got the Spaghetti alle Vongole. Husband got the Rigatoni alla Bolognese. Vongole was the best I've had, period. Clams were fresh and juicy. Bolognese was flavorful. Pastas were al dente. Also, their draft beer is Suntory. I've never had draft Suntory before, so this was fun! I'm not a beer conoisseur, but it was good. Service is friendly, helpful and not overbearing. Thank you Miki for an exceptional experience!! The interior seemed a bit cheesy at first, but in the end it did feel like it transported me to a little spot in Italy. I've been to the Italian restaurant at the Ritz on Kalakaua, and Arancino is way better in every way except views. Without a doubt, I'm going back next time we're in Honolulu again. A group of us was visiting Hawaii for the recent marathon and the runner wanted carbs so we thought of Italian food. After some research we found this location and what a find! This is in an area that is heavy tourist and that means walking so there is almost no parking. The restaurant itself is very small so I would recommend making a reservation. We were walk in and the hostess was extremely nice and got three of us at a table for two. Our waitress was friendly and provided us with recommendations and had a knowledge of the plates. The food was amazing. The pasta seemed to be made fresh and the meat sauce was outstanding!! Highly recommend going for lunch or dinner if you are in the area. read more

They missed putting anchovies on the white anchovies Cesar salad... served the salad, soup, calamari and clams all at the same time, even though I asked for each course to not be sent over until the previous one was finished. Went to Arancino Mare when I was in Waikiki last June but they are only open for dinner. Glad my daughter found this one. Had lunch here. Food was delicious. I even got gelato as it's my bday. Food is a bit pricey, but pretty typical prices for nicer Italian food (approximately $30 an entree). The prosciutto arugula salad was very simple yet tasty, albeit quite pricey in my opinion for how little salad we got. The bolognese pasta was my favorite. Noddles were cooked perfectly al dente. The mushroom risotto was cool because they heat it up in a cheese wheel table side, but it was very rich. We really enjoyed the kids cheese pizza (still $20).
