Holy Mackeral!! We visited Ariano in 11/2025 after several other stops. The one thing I remember most is that I broke a glass. The staff was as nice as could be. Sorry I broke the glass and thank you for being so nice. Thank goodness I take video! The pizza looks amazing. Amigo Dan ate half the pizza before I could get a video of him. Over 400 videos of him, and this has never happened! You know it had to be very good! Ariano, see you soon when I am sober! Great spot for quiet dinner.

    So cute!

What an adorable place. You certainly don't realize how big it is until you walk in!! The little touches truly make you feel like you're at an elegant and beautiful restaurant. I ordered the Gnocchetti Mongelli (ricotta gnocchi, brown butter, roasted pistachio crumble, dried blueberries, fresh parmesan). Warning!! Flavor punch in your mouth! I especially loved each bite with the pistachio crumble and the dried blueberries, mmmmmm. The brown butter for me was a lot, so I had to put some of it on a side plate so that it wasn't so saturated. Some people may love that, but I love to taste everything and not have one thing over power just something to think about before you order. My friend had a Spicy Crab Vodka (lumache, crab, vodka sauce, red chili, anchovy bread crumb, fresh parmesan). He said it had a generous portion of crab and the vodka sauce was more flavorful than spicy. We were seated on the second floor. I wish we were by the windows, but it was gorgeous in there. The servicer was very nice and prompt!

Get the spicy vodka crab pasta! It's a cute restaurant for dates or groups of friends. We might have went on an off day, but we weren't too impressed with the dishes we got other than the spicy vodka crab pasta. It had a nice kick and the flavors were delicious. We didn't try the pizza though so maybe that's the better move for next time. Service was fine, the servers are very hardworking. My friends and I ate here after a rain storm had finished and it was extremely hot, but the AC was not on. We could see the servers glistening from sweat, but they told us they couldn't turn on the AC since the windows were open. We felt so bad that the servers were coming up flights of stairs in such heat. Everyone on the top floor was just sweating from heat. Eventually after maybe half an hour, they decided to turn on the AC. This did dampen the mood while waiting for the food.

Walking in, with the classic up beat jazz music playing overhead, open window atmosphere, natural light, cool breeze and traditional Tuscan colors surrounding you, as you are seared at a hammered copper table top... I had the gluten free Wild Funghi pizza, the virgin Pain Killer and an affogato for desert. Absolutely delicious! Service was on point, professional, friendly and family oriented. Can't wait to come back here!

Our first time and we will definitely be back. I am not a fan of "American Italian food" which seems to be all about the red sauce. Not here!! This was ITALIAN FOOD and transported me back to Italy! Ambiance is fantastic! Beautiful especially if you can sit upstairs. Food was so flavorful and visually appetizing! Highly recommend!

Stopped in for an early dinner last night (Saturday). My friend was raving about them and they were able to accommodate us not having a reservation. It's such a charming place! I felt like I was on vacation! We sat upstairs in a window and it was the perfect day for that! The breeze coming in was wonderful! The food was delicious! We each started with a salad. I had the grilled caesar (they have Italian names for their dishes therefore I don't remember them), we split the risotto balls and I had the scallops over risotto. Everything was really good!! We were so stuffed when we left l, it was funny! I will definitely go back! Oh and my espresso martini was great too!

We only stopped in for drinks but the cocktail menu is extensive! We enjoyed everything we had and the service was quick. We sat at the bar. Will definitely be back to try some food.

Overall we feel it was a huge disappointment and it's extra painful to have hosted a 5-person celebration and to have wasted $350 on a very average meal. Server was extremely professional, versed in every dish or drink, pleasant and thoughtful. Five stars! Table bussers were mixed. The guy clearing was friendly and helpful. The man filling waters needs training. He stood at the end of our 6-top and expected us to pass glasses down the table to him! Absolutely gross and unacceptable; you don't have everyone at the table handle drinking glasses in a post-COVID era, if it was ever considered acceptable prior to that anyway (not anywhere I've ever been). There was plenty of room to walk all around our table, absolutely no need to make everyone do his work to fill it. What's health code on this? Yuk! Zero stars because his bad behavior cancels out the other pleasant busser. Drinks took a REALLY LONG TIME to come out. When you make a table wait so long as we did for each and every course on a DUTS night, just get the damn drinks to the table so people can enjoy something. We just felt forgotten from the start (forgotten by the kitchen and bar, not our server). Our server kept checking in, and her busser was in charge of drink delivery, but come on! So friggin slow. Over the whole meal my party had a rye sour, a Bulleit neat, a Manhattan, a virgin berry mojito, and a sangria. All were okay. Again, just having to wait forever leaves a lot to be desired, and then an okay drink shows up, and you didn't really redeem yourself, ya know? They provide no salt, and no bread. Again, a $350 meal with no salt shaker and no bread! If your table gets only pizza, fine don't serve bread, but we ordered entrees (pizzas shown in my photos were 1 child and 1 appetizer). It felt super cheap to not get bread with our $30 to $40 entrees! That lacking salt really came into play because despite the delicious-sounding menu, the flavors promised did not show up in the food. Salt was requested to try to revive every single dish, except the mussels, which I'm told were ironically way too salty, to the point where our diner had three bites and took the rest home to doctor it with his own culinary skills. That's really not acceptable at all, especially for what they charge. Mushroom funghi pizza app had a very mundane portobello type flavor (not truffle-y or dynamic with other mixed shroomy tastes), and no bite or zest of authentic Parmesan, and the Balsamic(?) was overpowering and very sweet. The crust was way way too flat, and burnt, which is not good eats to people with honest tastebuds. Eggplant Parm app was very pizza shop standard, but it was half the portion for pizza shop entree price. It needed salt, but otherwise flavors met the pizza shop standard (not fine Italian restaurant standard). The artichoke poppers wrapped in prosciutto app was antagonizing. The prosciutto was absolutely one of the best I've had, but that artichoke was only slightly flavored with that pickle-y sour taste you expect from it, especially given the flavor plays they're depicting in the menu. The ball batter is cheap Sysco frozen standard. Just a shame to mix good prosciutto with what tasted like Sysco deep freeze crap. The short rib poppers app, absolutely a rip off! Short rib had a cat food-grade flavor; canned, cheap, and bland as a doctor's stomach upset diet! The "cheese" inside looked and tasted like cauliflower rice. It just spilled out like so many silicone beads, and gagged me trying to force myself to try it. My son's pizza was thin, floppy and the cheese was very cheap looking and tasting. I wish I'd walked down the street to Pinocchio's for a slice; leagues better! The ribeye was okay. It was not remarkable but it honestly alerted me that the kitchen IS capable of rendering a meat flavor of some kind. Also, our salmon diner was content, but she is not very discerning. Just sayin! Mussels, as mentioned, were over-salty, and spiced too much for the flavors of the dish (coming from a diner who likes his spice). Beignets with Nutella and whipped cream were decent (if you are a child who didn't get over Nutella in the 90s). Menu had various fried dough with sugar options, so not a lot of excitement. The rub was that our server did her best and gave very good service, so we left 30% tip for her hard work, but NOTHING else in the entire experience was worth this hefty price tag. Just a very very poor experience, and a shame our celebration was deflated by the bus-your-own, no-bread-having-ness, flavorless food. We won't be back.

Solid Delco Italian restaurant. Small downstairs and a little drafty, but service is attentive and kind. Just note, they do NOT have pasta, so if you're looking for pasta, you'll need to try one of the other Italian spots down the street. For the food - highly recommend the arancini (comes with 3). Large, delicious, get them. The meatballs (comes with 2) were ok...nothing special but yummy. Entrees, we got the Rocco Pomodoro pizza and the Mesoraca pizza. Folks, we're picky about pizza (local to NYC...). This pizza was outstanding. We also got the Otino Cioppino - a seafood smorgasbord over risotto in a tomato broth. SO much seafood. Absolutely delicious. Dessert - (come on you can leave without dessert) we go the chocolate ice cream, pistachio ice cream, and a limoncello mascarpone cake. All Italian.. and amazing. Solid place. Nothing "extra" but will definitely be back for a great meal.

We got seated right behind the live music and I'm so glad we asked to move since we got the cozy fireplace table and there's no way we could have heard eachother otherwise. The chairs were weirdly uncomfortable and seemed a mix of styles. When everything else called to be cozy that was an odd misstep in a cold winter night. They were out of a handful of things but they did have a super extra special menu to try. We had to sample the mashed potato balls but honestly they were dense and dry without a lot of flavor. If you mixed with the sauce they were ok but don't really recommend. The stews were amazing, and the shepherds pie will absolutely take you back to the island, and huge portions. The yak burger really tasted great but it was one of those "too huge to fit" type of burgers so be aware. The desserts really weren't inspiring so we skipped. This is very popular and the bar area was totally packed when we headed out. I'd say worth going but ask for where you want to sit and be prepared to just take awhile.

A live guitarist was setting up for the evening in the space between the two rooms. He started playing just after we were seated, and it was a bit loud from the proximity, but a member of our party asked if we could move. After checking with the hostess, we were whisked away to a cozier table by the room's fireplace. Given the cold weather, it was quite nice. That table also had some more comfortable seats, so I'm glad they could accommodate the switch. Our server was quite personable, and took good care of us as we ordered drinks and waited for the rest of our group. She did need to check on some menu items and they had some sold our dishes, but there were plenty of options still. When the food came, one of our entrees had a small mix up, but it was resolved before the rest of our food made it out. My shepherd's pie filling was deliciously rich. The mashed potatoes on top were broiled to crispy perfection. I didn't love the bread on the side, but I had more than enough pie to fill me up. Overall, I'd love to go back and try some other menu options.

I suppose a restaurant almost has a disadvantage when one has heard endlessly about how fantastic…read moreit is, thus setting one's expectations quite high when making one's reservation. A friend and I came by for a quiet supper to catch up and hopefully have an enjoyable dining experience. To start off, the Caesar salad and focaccia were indeed quite tasty. After being talked into trying the tasting menu, I was disheartened upon taking my first bite of the chicken Parmigiana and accompanying pasta. Both seemed as if they had been sitting for a while and then were unevenly reheated. The pasta, in particular, was lackluster and worse than anything I might have hurriedly boiled at eleven at night upon arriving home after a long trip and finding only packaged pasta and canned tomato sauce in the cupboard. But I could have lived with all of this had it not been for the service. Clearly my friend and I were the afterthought of all afterthoughts to our disinterested waitress. After hounding us to order before we had properly reviewed the menu, she promptly put us on the pay-no-mind list, as dirty dish after dirty dish accumulated at the table from the tasting menu she had so strongly urged me to try. I also abhor cheapness on the part of restaurants. Would it have killed Rosemary to offer us a second piece of focaccia, given that there were two of us and the portion was a better fit for just one? Lest anyone accuse me of having expected the waitstaff to read my mind, I indeed asked. It's not like we weren't spending a pretty penny there. The business could have well afforded to allow each of us a reasonable portion of its much-touted starter. After we finally managed to flag down our waitress amid the plethora of dirty dishes still sporting some of the mediocre food, I paid in cash on account of the restaurant informing me on the bill that a surcharge would be applied to a credit card transaction. Another joy! When the waitress took the note, she said, "Thank you," and that was that. I decided against calling after her to request change since it was one of those borderline instances where the note was close enough to twenty percent that it is a bit awkward to request someone return with change. So she walked off with a 26% or so tip after having left us on the dining equivalent of "read" the entire night. And then there's the issue of price: While not outrageous, everything is 15-20% more expensive than it should be, and after one pauses to think about it, the tasting menu offers barely any deal at all. If one orders the chicken like I did, it is no cheaper than ordering the starter, entrée, and dessert à la carte. If Rosemary had also offered, say, a soup, then it would be a deal. But clearly generosity is not in its owner's purview. The tiramisu, I will say, was excellent, and my friend and I enjoyed every morsel, and for that reason, along with the Caesar salad, I can muster three stars. Had I not walked through the door having heard so many people rave about Rosemary, perhaps I would have found it to be a restaurant with a pleasant ambiance, a good appetizer, and fine dessert despite a thoroughly middling entrée. But a Delco gem it is not.

Fortunately, I was served a different dish after I demonstrated I couldn't cut into the short rib with the knife I was given. This cocktail and handroll spot might be one you miss if you are just driving by and not in the local Ardmore scene, and that would be a catastrophe, as it is unique and delicious. This bar has impeccable Japanese ambience with high, light wood ceilings and a quiet atmosphere. It offers exclusively high-top table and bar seating, but still feels elevated. This is one of the best sake menus I have seen in the area, including domestic production, and also offers Japanese beers and a very delicious cocktail list featuring sake-forward offerings. Sake served generously with the cedar box tradition. Specials are available daily and warm food from the menu seems to be prepared next door at Ripplewood (same ownership). Handrolls were bright and fresh using clearly high quality, fresh ingredients. We also enjoyed a Branzino collar. We'll definitely be back, and will try to be early again to get good seating (spots fill fast, as you'd expect!)

So their Cacio E Pepe was a natural choice for me. Gnocchi is not typically my first pasta choice of texture but Luca's makes the gnocchi and sauce blend so well together . I feel like I would love this sauce on fettuccine and I would like that more but I also think it complements the texture of the gnocchi better too. The shrimp accentuates this dish . So hopefully you like shrimp. They peeled off the shells completely which was nice. The bread had tasty herbs and the salad was refreshing. The sfogliatella was crunchy with tasty custard but the winning dessert has to be the pistachio ricotta cake.. The flavor of the cake is a fun experience in one's mouth and I didn't feel it was too cheesy or too sweet etc. The ingredients are just balanced so well together for a "food harmony." Anyone reading this and seeing that made up term wants to make you give this place a try now! Everything tastes like it was made from scratch. The menu may be relatively small, but they are good at what they do. Staff was friendly and they seem to know their regulars and new people. I also might have been the only one ordering on a random Wednesday night. I believe there is a small seating area but I took out.
