Tried this place out because our cousin recommended this spot. This restaurant is located in like a hidden gem of Rancho Cordova. It's called Gold River, pretty nice and cute area, set apart from the rest of the city. The restaurant is very bright and well lit inside. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We ordered a Tempura Mix appetizer, Miso Soup, California Rolls, Cherry Blossom Roll, and Rainbow Roll. All rolls are 50% off which is pretty good. Everything was very tasty and delicious. I tried this place, & the sushi roll I had was a popular one, but it was no one of my favs. The roll would not stick for the life of it, I kept trying to pick it up with my chopsticks, but it was like I needed a spoon. I gave it an extra star because the person who took my order was pleasant. My wife and I came here for Valentine's Day, there wait time was quick, the service was friendly and fast even though they were clearly understaffed and busy! We got the dinner bento box and the redhead roll, both were absolutely amazing we were very happy! The mood in the restaurant was pleasant and easy going and the lighting and ambiance was amazing. read more

I can walk here from my home ( I should have cause I'm stuffed ) , I was apprehensive coming here because of previous reviews referring to bad service- well I'll keep this review short and simple : Food was very good - we had a bunch of rolls , which were fresh and great portions Service was good - waitress was very attentive and on top of it (there wasn't a big crowd but that's not the point ) . Ambiance & decor - very nice which would make for a good date restaurant. I'll be back !! read more

The sushi is a great size and consistency is always the same! The hosts are always so nice, one of the worker gave my daughter more tofu in her miso soup, that was very generous of her to do that. read more

The food is good but the service is terrible. We were seated immediately but it took awhile for anyone to come and get our drink orders. We then had to flag down the server to order our food. We ordered 7 rolls. The Pink Lady and Lucky 7 were yummy. Everything else was meh tonight. The teriyaki chicken was very good though. This isn't my first time here. One thing that's consistent is the lousy service. They need to hire more staff. read more

TAKE OUT ORDERING EXPERIENCE REVIEW! This review does not speak to a sit down in-person experience at all. Answers the phone quickly and professionally. The receive the order accurately every time and the requests are always honored from front of the house to back. I have eaten here 30 times in 4 years easily and the only issue was waiting double the waited time one night, however, that addressed that issue more than adequately. The fish is always fresh and have never had a fish quality issue with this place. From what I can tell the restaurant is kept clean and staff friendly. From what I see when I walk in to pick up if that all the tables are happy and serviced well. LOVE THIS PLACE! read more

We were in town in need of some good dinner & being unfamiliar with the area, we relied on Yelp for help & thank goodness it did not disappoint! We ordered 4 rolls (Arigato, 49er, Double Spicy, forgot the name of the last one.) The sushi is melt-in-your-mouth fresh & super flavorful. Plus, all sushi rolls are 50% off! Another delicious lunch! Great service, nicely presented dishes with garnishes, good variety of appetizers and rolls. Low key place for lunch and lively for dinner. Have sampled many rolls and usually go back to the Shrek and Double Spicy; we always have the soft shelled crab appetizer. I normally don't like to write bad reviews but I have to vent my frustrations because the girl I went with was too nice. We ordered a nigiri lunch with two rolls and a gyoza. One of the rolls we ordered was a dragon. The dragon roll had bones in the eel, and when I first asked the server she said "no bones". But when I pointed out the bones, she said "oh some bones are okay". I lost my mind. The server basically tried to gaslight me into think bones in my sushi were okay. I had a picture of just after eating two pieces of the roll. I didn't eat the rest but the girl didn't want to cause drama and because she is also a server so we still paid and tipped. I love this place! I have ordered many different rolls here and they are so diverse and tasty. Tonight I got the double spicy roll, macho roll, and the spider roll. The only complaint I have is two of these were supposed to be spicy and they weren't. They did have really great flavor though. I will be back. read more

I was recently invited to Arigato Sushi in Gold River since I'm always open to trying new sushi spots.Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect since the first thing I saw when I yelped it was the 50% off rolls. I was optimistically cautious. But I was blown away by the pepper fin appetizer and all the rolls after that were all outstanding! I don't think I've ever had pepper fin sashimi before and I wonder why it took me so long to discover it. It's so tasty especially with a light sauce and slices of jalapeno. There was just a tiny hint of heat to make you sit up and notice. We got the Shrek roll with its bountiful garlic, the house Arigato roll which was similar to a traditional rainbow roll but with fried tempura, but so much tastier. We also got the Golden Gate and the karaage appetizer. The portions were really generous and the presentation were all very well done. The restaurant has a modern interior and classy vibe. The staff were very nice and really attentive. It seems like the kind of spot frequented by regular customers as it seemed like the staff really knew the guests and greeted them all very warmly. If I lived closer, this would be a regular stop for me. read more

I'm giving this location 2 stars for the disappointing experience I've had. I just had a long day at work and figured to stop by this Arigato location since I go to the Arden and Galleria locations. The minute I interact with the host, he immediately asks if I'm a DoorDash guy and never asked if I would like to sit after telling him I wasn't a DoorDash guy. He just gave me a blank stare. I don't know if he thinks I'm a homeless guy from around there or a gig economy worker, but I told him I'll sit at the bar. Meanwhile at the bar I ordered and waited about 10 minutes and my waiter has not come around with any menu nor offering me a drink. As I was looking around, the manager behind the counter - making sushi - noticed me disappointed because they were almost ready with my food and I still haven't gotten my drink nor the damned menu! So he took my drink order and told the guy in the front to put it in. After I ate my food, I paid for my check and the lady who rung me up was a bit rude. I don't know what she checked for, whether I paid or whether I tipped, but I left feeling disappointed. Overall, I feel like the waiters there need better training at customer service. I work at a casino down the highway from there; thats why I was dressed in all black. I AM NOT F*CKING HOMELESS. I was dirty from all the smoke at my casino. But then again, I shouldn't have to explain myself when I walk in, right? They should just attend me right away, but they didn't. read more

Arigato sushi has half off all rolls! This is a nice hidden gem that is apparently a chain of 4 in Sacramento. It is cute for a date night. It has a nice modern trend. There is outside seating for hot evenings. The food is good! I would make it make regular close by restaurant to go to. It has all the yummy sushi dishes you expect. Food, service, cleanliness, literally EVERYTHING was great! & let me tell you, I'm one of those customers who is going to ask for straws, napkins, extra sauce, lemons, a refill, & not one time did any of the waitresses or waiters get upset or make me feel like I was a bother which I loved! Only negative thing I have to say was that I ordered a combination tempura appetizer & we didn't receive it but we were so full we just told them to take it off of our order. We ordered 3 rolls, spicy edamame, 2 diet cokes, & an order of mochi ice cream to share & it came up to 80$. So their prices are very reasonable especially for a nice sushi spot. First thought, damn this place is Small. But once seated the ambience takes over and you are deeply attached to this awesome restaurant The staff very friendly, the location extremely clean and the menu, while amazingly large, is super affordable The sushi extremely fresh, tasty and top notch. The rolls were flavorful, nicely sized and tasty. Some inappropriately named, for example the "Fire cracker" was about as far from spicy as you could get. Just now leaving . This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I was so excited to be close to a sushi restaurant now and it quickly turned into me never returning me again. I feel like this place is mostly known for their rolls, however I had their chirashi and it was very good. In fact, it was better than most places for the price. As you can see in the photo, the chirashi included pickled veggies, masago, seaweed salad, etc. most places do not include this with their chirashi so that is nice. The rice was good as well and the fish was fresh with a good portion size. If you like sashimi and haven't tried their chirashi, i recommend it. read more

Had a really good experience. I was kind of under the impression that's it's a family owned business which I love. There were 3 female waitresses that very nice and attentive. I've had multiple dine in & togo experiences at all 3 Arigato locations. (Roseville, Arden, and Gold River) Happy to report this one is the superior and worth the drive. This one is smaller in space and feels more intimate. I've dined in multiple times on Wednesday evenings specially (due to my schedule) and sometimes Saturday early afternoons and have consistently experienced genuine/kind/attentive service from the staff. Not too packed, staff adhering to COVID protocol, and the place has a nice ambiance. If you like tuna like me, try their "Tuna Trio" roll or their pepperfin! I love the ponzu they use. read more

The first of three Arigato Sushi Restaurants was established in 2004 in Sacramento, CA. Owners Christine & Kay, who owned a small restaurant in Korea came to America in hopes of bettering their financial situation after the country's financial crisis. Christine & Kay worked at a sushi restaurant in the Bay Area for many years before deciding it was time to try opening their own restaurant. Food enthusiasts and sushi lover's at heart, they created original sauces & sushi rolls unique to Arigato Sushi. Hamachi Kama: felt it wasnt Krispy or charred enough. 3.5/5 Volcano Mushrooms: wasn't what I was expecting, it was just a bunch of shrooms, battered up with some cream cheese 2.5/5 **would skip ordering this Douglas Roll: wasn't anything worth remembering, as in typing this an hour 1/2 later, I cannot recall what was in the Douglas Roll besides red sauce and spicy tuna, shrimp tempura....so it must have been a mediocre roll 3/5 Chirashi Bowl: was ok, sashimi was fresh, but nothing along the levels of Sushi Gen in Little Tokyo Los Angeles 4/5 Uni: I want to allege after finishing both Uni Nigiri that this wasn't the freshest, because of the complex after taste, it was somewhat bitter with a fishy aftertaste and the coloring was a bit dark. If you ever go to a Mitsuwas or Marukai or Nijiya and look for that shining glistening gold packaged air-imprted Uni...yeah. You'll know what I mean. Totally different. 3 2.5/5 Amaebi: Corral Sweet Shrimp Raw Nigiri: probably the only shining star or the 4/5 *Although I suggest next time removing the heads of the shrimp and steeping them with Miso soup for an additional layer of presentation, it would give the Miso soup more Umami And what else am I missing.....yes the Oysters at Market Price ($16.00) Ok aside from the fact the restaurant operators couldn't really name where the oysters were from...I'm assuming it's frozen oysters...I wanted to give this starter a higher score, but Everytime I slurp, I get fragments of the Oyster shells in my mouth, and honestly, I find the oysters that you can get at Wholefoods market Alot of times better quality and taste (being better quality oysters are sweeter and have less of that Seafood aftertaste. So unfortunately I have to give this order a 2.5/5 even though I finished it because the ponzu and chilli sauces they used really masked the natural tastes of the oyster. I considered asking for a replacement, but the chef left the restaurant immediately after serving the dish. The server was polite and understanding when I explained I couldn't eat the food, and I left without ordering anything else. I have given this restaurant multiple chances and this was the final one. I was thoroughly impressed with my dining experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. One of the highlights of my meal was trying the James Bond roll and the Maui roll. Both rolls were beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. The James Bond roll had a perfect combination of spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, while the Maui roll had a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors with its combination of crab, avocado, and mango. The quality of the ingredients used in both rolls was evident in every bite. I also had the pleasure of trying the steamed gyoza, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The gyoza was perfectly cooked, and the sauce that came with it was a wonderful complement to the dish. In fact, the sauces served with both sushi rolls were equally delicious and enhanced the flavor of the rolls even more. I hadn't been to the Milagro Center in about 8 years so it was interesting to return and see the new businesses inside. Taiko has 2 dining areas, creating ample seating. While it stayed in 1 place and wasn't used while we were eating, they have a robot that collects dishes it looks like. I was talking briefly to 1 of the employees while getting a bag for my ramen leftovers and the robot, which was next to me, turned on and started gliding to the side dining area haha. They have happy hour and a lot of sushi options as well as ramen and other entrees. Arigato!

The fish is extremely fresh and every selection is really good! My kiddos love their rolls and Bento boxes, and I love their pepperfin, albacore on fire, large sashimi mix, and their agadashi tofu! So unfortunately I have to give this order a 2.5/5 even though I finished it because the ponzu and chilli sauces they used really masked the natural tastes of the oyster. The spicy edamame was really good too, cooked right and had a nice spicy flavor to them with lots of garlic! We used to be asked if we wanted the veggie noodle spicy or not, when I asked waitress she said it's not spicy. So I was confused because we have always been asked about our preference. I literally crave the spicy version we've always had before. Luckily I had the spiciness from the edamame dish and used some of that on it. They were very busy which is why I didn't reduce my review by a star because they had forgot to refill our water and bring napkins after I had asked for them.

But the quality isn't that good. Their gyoza are typically more like leather than any gyoza I've ever had elsewhere. Their sushi rolls are small and stingy. The kicker though was my most recent order. Tonkatsu, with no sauce. Gyoza, no sauce. And that's bad when the gyoza are as tough as leather. And on the other order, they just changed the sashimi from tuna to salmon without asking. Never ordering from them again, never going into their restaurant.
