Ok, so I have been to the other Arirang many times (I am not sure if they are a chain), and liked it a lot in terms of food. The service was never good. As for this location, i thought everything was great. I don't remember the service being particularly bad. I mean there isn't much to it since you get your own sides. As for the sides, i thought they had the essentials: lettuce, peppers, garlic, kimchi, and a host of other sides and different sauces. The meat was pretty good. We had the K1 option and all the meats were pretty good. We came on a Sunday afternoon so we didn't get any specials, but $20 is a good price for what you get. read more

Definitely worth it for the price point. I always get the K3 AYCE option ($28.99) which gives you the rib eye and short ribs and is a deal if you're going with 2+ people. We usually end up only ordering 1 round, but that's because they give you a lot of meat to begin with so you get plenty full. They also have self serve free miso and egg soup, as well as a banchan + sauce bar so you can customize to your liking. Service has been great so far, however the last time I visited, there was a new lady and she was sort of stand offish. We asked for our grill changed (usually we get it changed at least once in the meal because the sauce from marinated meats gets burnt, but this ajumma just took a paper towel and wiped the burnt parts to the side, telling us there's no need to change the grill (never had that incident happen before, they usually just do it). Decent AYCE (all-you-can-eat) Korean BBQ with a buffet style banchan (veggies/side dishes) and sauce bar. I've had KBBQ at Arirang in Lynnwood, but this location felt more modern and more up to date. Parking is easy to find as it is located in a strip mall area. There's definitely more tables, so getting in shouldn't be a problem. The grills have a built in fan, so you don't leave smelling too bad :) they have 3 tiers of unlimited meat and other a la carte items, but I recommend the meat. The first tier will have all your basics and I think is more than enough unless you want some more specialty meat. It comes with chicken, pork, and beef bulgogi, as well as brisket and pork belly. Pork belly and brisket tasted a little dry. I enjoyed the chicken and pork bulgogi the most, as they had the most marinated flavor. The bulgogi comes in a halves of a plate but the brisket comes in a full plate, so be careful when ordering that. There did not seem to be a time limit or restriction on how many times you could order, but you'll probably feel full quickly :) Getting sides and sauces are all self service, so the servers only bring you orders or the meat. The banchan bar has all the basics like kimchi, radish, lettuce, and even things like pasta salad and miso soup. You also get a side of rice, but make sure to save room for the meat. You will be a charged a $5 surcharge if you have a lot of leftovers, so be mindful. The restaurant seems a little understaffed as there were only what looked like 3 servers for the whole place. You had to pay at the front too since no one could come by the table. Overall a pleasant experience and I felt I got my money's worth for KBBQ. The experience is a tale as old as time. A combination of great food and subpar service. There's a 15 minute wait to be seated and the tables were immediately cleaned after each use. Banchans and sauces were all self-serve buffet style and were the standard side dish selections. We ordered the K2 ($25.99 per person) and selected the brisket, bulgogi, pork bulgogi, short ribs, and pork belly. We also ordered a a bottle of Cheumchurum shoju. Service was very slow. We saw other parties who sat after us served first. After about 30 minutes our order arrived. The meats were in two platters and we were provided tongs and meat shears. We were also served a couple of small rice bowls on the side. The food was delicious. The meats were tender and the grill was sufficiently hot. I ordered another bowl of rice, which never came. We wanted to order another round of meats, however our server never came back. We never got our refill on water and pretty much the service stopped there. The downside is they can be slow refilling some of them, specifically the lettuce and the radish. Slow service seems to be the game here--I understand if it's really busy, but honestly we've been here 3 times and regardless of the number of tables, it takes can take up to 10 minutes to flag someone down to order more meat. For an ayce place, it seems a little bit shady to be doing that. I've noticed servers make half a second of eye contact and immediately turn away and leave. Anyways, the food is good and we like the buffet style sides, so we do come back--I just wish the service was better so we would choose this place over others. read more

Came here after not making it to Stevens....(sad) They have good prices and decent food/service. My only gripe is that their samjang is gar-bagio. It's not the normal one, it's some house made stuff. It was, and I quote my two Korean friends, the worst samjang they have ever had. But the salad sauce is pretty good, so we used that instead. I took my two kids here at 11:30 on a weekday. We went in and the place smelled like medical grade cleaning supplies. Part of me was really glad they were diligent with their cleaning, but the other part of me was kind of grossed out because you couldn't smell anything but the cleaning supplies. We waited 10 minutes for service and no one else was there. When the server came I asked for the combo gal bi (short ribs) which came with soft tofu soup for $29. She said they didn't have it and I ordered the full plate for $34. The full plate ended up being 6 pieces of gal bi I could have gotten in the store for $9. I also ordered the calamari. The photo in the menu was of actual squid / octopus pieces, so I was really disappointed when perfectly symmetrical donut shaped calamari came out. It definitely looked like store bought frozen. We also ordered a seafood pancake that was mostly vegetables and had tiny pieces of shrimp in it. The plates are self serve and all of them had grease on them. And a lot of them were chipped on the edges. The server brought over plastic forks for the kids, but she had them on a napkin that had been used. So for all the cleaning they do, it seems like something isn't adding up. All in all, I spent $80 for 3 dishes and threw away the leftovers. The restaurant is much more relaxing than the Lynnwood one, so perfect for a date or even a intimate family gathering. Their grills are non-stick and gets pretty hot! So you are able to crisp up your pork belly super easy! The side dishes are all you can eat as well. They have a slightly larger variety but I thought only their kimchi radish was good the day I went, the kimchi seemed over fermented. Alsooo, they have full sized lettuces to wrap up your meats. They also have a lot of different kind of sauces as well, so sauce up!! We opted for the k2 option and their short ribs were thicccc. They took a while to cook but they were pretty good!! A bit too salty for my taste but really enjoyed the value. Also, their pork belly is pretty thin but I enjoyed getting the crisp on it. Also, they don't do the soybean paste soup or the steamed egg with their combo, but they have other kind of soups up front. We also enjoyed the appetizer bar, with basically unlimited kimchi, fish cakes, salad, and so much more; they also have a good selection of sauce. I had never heard about this place but I came with friends. It's in a little strip mall on the corner and I got in early. It felt a bit like it was a small, home style type place, but it's actually pretty big inside. I settled in with a beer to wait for my friends. Oddly, they seated someone into the booth right behind me, even though it was pretty quiet inside. That person kept rattling the booth and getting up and walking past me. No idea. Apparently, the banchan is all in bar along one side of the restaurant. Server yourself! Who knew? We got the pancake and did kbbq. Went home smelling like a fire, but I thought it was pretty good. I moved from California to Washington a month ago. This is my first time having kbbq at Washington where I came in by myself. First I walked in, there were 2 employees did not wear masks and this is during the rise of Delta. The restaurant is all you can you eat and there are three prices to select from, I selected one in the middle which is $32.99, then the waitress directly told me that for one person the price will be $42.99 because I am by myself with a disgusting attitude. There aren't a lot of all you can eat kbbq in the area. Out of the two locations this mill creek one is a lot cleaner than the lynnwood one. They accommodate my large group of 7 and we were all full from the first round of meats thats we ordered. The sides are serve yourself buffet style, so no waiting for the waiter to get more potatoes or kimchi. Have definitely come back to this place frequently. read more

First time doing Korean bbq. This is a nice place because it's cheap, clean, and includes a nice big salad/appetizer bar. My favorite meat was the spicy pork bulgogi. Since this is my only time eating Korean bbq it is hard for me to compare. I have found that I like eating Korean meals rather than cooking it myself due to the time and taste. Heard about this place from an ad. I'm always up for trying new places. Here's good and not so good... Good: Self serve banchan. You can have as much as you want of whichever of these side dishes and soups you please to get. Quality was ok. Nothing to write home about. Lots of seating. There are booths and tables and plenty of space unlike many other KBBQ places that are smaller in square footage. The marinade for the Kalbi ribs was actually pretty good. Nice sweet flavor. However it took forever to cook (see below) Not so good: The grills don't get very hot. It took a while to warm up and it was very slow to cook the meat. For good KBBQ I like to have a hot grill that allows me to get a good sear on the outside of my kalbi in addition to being able to cook the mean real fast. It was a long and slow cook. So for the value it's not too bad. But I am starting to appreciate quality a bit more nowadays so I'll opt to pay a bit more for gas or charcoal grills. read more

I've always gone to Lynnwood or Edmonds for KBBQ as they have lots of options there, but we were craving the grill it yourself style of LA Koreatown KBBQ joints. I didn't realize that there was even a Korean BBQ place right in Mill Creek. The restaurant was very clean and well kept, which is important to me in any sort of raw meat or buffet place. The meat was all good quality, we got the bulgogi and the brisket as part of the AYCE package. It would have been around the same price to just order the 2 dishes a la carte but if you have a a larger appetite the AYCE is a great deal. The sides bar was nice, I mostly got a few types of kimchi but they also had salad with toppings and dipping sauces for the meat. I will definitely be coming back for future KBBQ cravings. read more

Save your time and your money. We made a reservation for 7 people at 7 o'clock. We arrived a couple minutes early to a full lobby with at least 4 other groups of people waiting to be helped and no one working in the front. We stood there for 10 minutes before finally a lady came speeding by the front desk, my friend had to follow her just so he could say we had a reservation at 7 and it's now 10 minutes past...she took us to our tables. WE WAITED 30 MINUTES. No one ever came to check in, take our orders, or even give us waters. I had to get up and find someone just to get our orders taken because I watched them serve TWO couples that were seated AFTER us. We waited...the server brought the side dishes out...10 minutes later the meats....no sauce, no rice till AFTER we finally gave up and just started eating the meat just plain by itself because at this point we are BEYOND frustrated and hungry. We asked for a discount as we had TERRIBLE service and he offered 5%.....did I forget to mention the 6 HAIRS WE FOUND IN OUR FOOD AND ON OUR PLATES AND TABLES? I got the $20 K1 unlimited bbq Beef bulgogi- my favorite, very savory Pork bulgogi- flavor is too overwhelming and salty Brisket- a bit dry when eaten without sauce Chicken- tastes kinda just like teriyaki I felt pretty heavy after one and a half rounds of meat because the there wasn't much veggies that I liked to balance it off. Compared to the lynnwood location, I liked this a lot better. The stove here sits lower than table level and it has a fan system within. You can also adjust the settings by a press of a few buttons which is dandy. The side dishes are also more abundant and cleaner looking (but personally, I'm still not really a fan of the self-serve buffet style). When looking for AYCE Korean BBQ up north, Arirang tops my list. If debating between going north or south, I generally prefer restaurants in Federal Way, but sometimes I just don't feel like battling southbound traffic. The AYCE menu is pretty inclusive and the sides/soups/dipping sauces are served buffet style, so get as little or as much of everything as you want. I loveee when AYCE places offer different soups because sometimes you just have to wash down all the meat you're consuming. The quality of meats is on par with other places I've had in the area. Not extraordinary, but worth the price. The only weird thing is cleaning your own grill. I get that the grills are different than typical ones and water + napkins provided will do the trick, but it definitely takes a little getting used to. I also don't feel like their grills make the food taste any better - so unsure of the point. Nonetheless, a really good AYCE KBBQ contender north of Seattle. Ordered the delivered AYCE. Comes with soup, rice, banchan, and choice of meats. We ordered the bugolgi, brisket, and pork belly. Delivery: super fast and everything was packaged really well. They packaged each thing in styrofoam and all the containers in a box, which helped keep things in place. No spills, very nice! Food: Rice and soup were good, nice staples. Banchan was 4 types, each in paper wrapping: a potato mash, fish cake, kimchi, and daikon kimchi. Nice complement to the meal, though not particularly special. Came with 2 sauces, one a salted sesame seed oil, and a fermented soy. Pork belly didn't have skin, which was weird to me? But looking at the pics, that's how they generally serve it. Bugolgi was tasty, tho the portion seemed a bit less than the others. Brisket was tasty too. The meats were all tasty, but tasted very obviously sautéed rather than having any of the grill flavor. Bugolgi came with quite a bit of liquid too. Still, they were all good and the portions were a goodly amount as well. It didn't have the kbbq taste or feel, but it was a good nonetheless. This one deserves more than it's current 3 stars average. Good meat and reasonable prices. The service is efficient, and much better recently. They don't have the pickled vegetables selection that I'm used to with Korean Barbecue, but all done well. Everything is fresh. They started using a pickles and sauce bar concept. They quickly cut down the selection of that. With the Covid restrictions they started serving those, but kept the same selection. We have family outings often. The Arirang on 99 used to be great, but dropped to miserable about 2 years ago. This one is has the same owner, we think, but, must be, a far better manager. My go to spot for kbbq! I bring all my friends here :) I love that they play kpop (BLACKPINK, BTS, etc) and have music videos in the background. It gives me the feeling of going out to a bar, of course including soju bombs. They bring unlimited sides to your table and check on your frequently to make sure you're doing good. I do always have to ask for garlic and jalapeños, I wish they would just bring them to the table. Great food for great prices! read more

Great price for if you're really hungry-all you can eat! The quality of the meat is decent, except I wouldn't recommend the ribeye at all--the cuts are way too lean and grey in color. My homie(s) and I have been going to this BBQ joint since February 2018 every Sunday, with some rare exceptions, and are currently still going strong.
