I went to Aroma of Brazil yesterday on a field trip with my class and even though they weren't expecting 30 people - or more - It was a great experience overall. I had the Combo 5 which I recommended to my classmates (most of them were there for the first time and they said they loved it). The staff was friendly as usual and they made their best to better assist us and to accommodate our large group. I'm happy they were able to handle the unusual situation very well. So when my husband and I were sipping on brews at Launch Pad Brewery I was elated to discover that the food truck of the day was Aroma of Brazil! ++ They offer a variety of traditional Brazilian staples. We opted for the Chicken Stuffed Dough and Top Sirloin "Picanha" Sandwich. Holy delish! The Chicken Stuffed Dough was perfectly fried - add a little hot sauce and it's really a party. The Top Sirloin "Picanha" Sandwich comes with caramelized onions, bell peppers, and chimichurri sauce - it's literally bursting with flavor! ++ The woman working was incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions I had. ++ Pricing was on point for both the size of the dishes and the quality of the ingredients. ++ Don't forget to try the Guaraná! Aurora is definitely NOT a good destination but AoB is worthy of a visit. The usual curiscuria Brazilian steakhouses are more of a show, like Benihana is for Japanese food, than a culinary goal. AoB flips that game and returns the focus to the flavors and away from the show. It is situated in a humble strip mall space at the Southeast corner of Illiff and Havana. There are no pretensions and the staff is so very welcoming; it's like you have been invited to a backyard Brazilian BBQ party. Be prepared, when you walk in, you will be hit with a tsunami of garlic and cooked meat scents. And you will take them home with you in your clothes. Unfortunately, that is the price you pay for an aggressive open kitchen at the front of the house. Regarding the food itself, don't miss the cheese bread and definitely pair it with a Brazilian beer or caipirinha (kai-purr-REEN-yah). They make their cocktails exceptionally fresh and truly with love. Other reviewers, before we visited, raved about the croquets. I cannot quite rave with the same enthusiasm as I found them to be too much a food truck item and less of a sit-down fare. The garlic steak is deeply flavorful as are the ribs. The steak sandwich is additionally deep with comfort food vibes but a bit too bready for my preference (I loved it better as an open faced sandwich than caped). Like all Brazilian, meat-heavy fare, the price point is higher than comparable restaurants in the area but I find value in AoB with the exceptional service, great drinks and classic examples of authentic (not showy) Brazilian fare. After all, do I really need to pay an extra $20/person to watch a guy in an apron parade my dinner around the dinning room on a skewer? Nope, I lean toward this version of Brazilian food. read more

Amazing Brazilian food in Aurora! I've had this place bookmarked for a while and last weekend we happened to be in the area. I was really curious about this place because I've only experienced the AYCE Brazilian restaurants. This place is so cute when you enter, it is a very quaint and has a handful of tables that makes it really feel like you're a part of the family. The workers are all very friendly and we were seated immediately. The menu consists of some combo plates,appetizers, sides and the daily specials. I ended up with the combo with 2 garlic steak,2 pork ribs and 1 side. My husband opted for the Saturday special which was the fish stew. Both were amazing dishes. The fish stew was creamy and the fish was flaky and soft. The meats I got were very flavorful and went well with the salad and rice. I absolutely recommend their chimichurri sauce that compliments the meat very well. The prices are also reasonable and is the perfect place for a quick, satisfying meal. read more

Aroma Of Brazil is such a great restaurant. The inside is casual and the food is phenomenal...just what I like. While the food is indeed delicious, what makes it even better is that it's inexpensive compared to some of the other Brazilian restaurants in the metro area. They have weekly specials and on the weekends they do an AYCE menu which consists of a bunch of different meats, salads, hot dishes, and cold cuts. We ended up visiting the restaurant during the week so I ordered the Combo 2. The Combo 2 comes with 2 pieces of sirloin w/ chimichurri, 2 pieces of pork ribs, rice, beans, salad, and one side of your choice which for me was the fried yucca. I highly recommend ordering this entree, it had plenty of variety and everything was packed with flavor. The meat was perfectly grilled and each bite melted in your mouth. I also ordered a Red Berry Batida which was only $6.50.. such a great deal especially because you could definitely taste the alcohol in the drink. It had the perfect sweetness too, just a really great drink to sip while eating your meal. I really enjoyed our dining experience here. I just to Denver from the great foodie city of Chicago. I don't know the food scene in Denver and thought it would hard to find a good Brazilian restaurant (not a fancy steak house). I searched Yelp and found this gem- Aroma do Brasil. I was a bit skeptical at first as I lived in Rio and know a lot about Brazilian food. This place totally impressed me. Nayara, my server was phenomenal. She is warm, friendly and very welcoming. I felt like I was back in Brazil. The food is very authentic and delicious. I started with an order of coxinhas (chicken croquettes), a guarana soda (taste like cream soda) and for my main meal, had one of their meat combos. Everything was just excellent! Wow! I can't rave enough about this restaurant. From the food to the owners. We had an event catered by them. They were on time, had great communication, set up everything before they left, and even went out of their way (by a lot) to make something right that was forgotten. And they even took it a step further by providing me with chaffing stand and burners because they were worried food would get cold. Speaking of food, everyone loved the food. It was a birthday dinner social for 12 folks and we absolutely LOVEE the cute space and warm, welcoming ambiance. Their salad buffet is delicious and I love the variety of over ten items at the salad buffet. But let's get to the real part. All of the meats on the AYCE weekend menu were great. Perfectly cooked and slightly red in the middle. All of the meat the staff brought out was delicious, savory and hard to forget. And let me tell you about the carneiro. It was incredible!! I think my favorite of all choices was that lamb steak, but you will love the variety of the meat options at this restaurant. Lastly Lorena, Walter and the remainder of the staff were attentive, kind and just on top of it. They were great and even treated me to some free dessert (Brazilian DONUTS for the win!) for my birthday. Second time coming here and the first actually getting to eat, because last time I came I underestimated how popular the place was and was not willing to wait 35 minutes. After trying it out I can see why it's popular. The location is small so not to many people will fit in compared to big chain restaurants, but its just large enough so everyone has their own space. The staff is friendly and quick to greet you as you enter and sit you if a table in open. I ended up trying the fish stew with the mashed potatoes and salad and was please by both the portions and the flavor, its a little pricey but still comparable to most other sit down restaurants. What a hidden gem that Aroma do Brazil is! It's west of Hwy 225 on Illif. My mom got the combo 2 with 1 side: ribs, steak, rice with house salad and side of chicken stroganoff. I got the combo 3 with 2 sides: ribs, steak, bacon wrapped chicken, rice, and sides of garlic noodle and caprese salad. For dessert we got churros with Brazilian sauce. We both agreed we'd go back. Small operation. Buffet only available on Friday to Sunday. Went on Sunday for dinner we were only one of 4 tables. Service was good. It was very slow so the food on the buffet not of the best quality. Cold rubbery fried chicken. some of the salad fixing watery and old. I think for $41 some more offerings. I tried AoB for a business lunch on the many recommendations of my fellow Yelpers, and found it to be pretty good. The prices are OK for what you get, and the staff was terrific. We got there right when they opened on a Thursday, and there was already a short line of hungry patrons gathering at the door. We all were seated and served expeditiously. I choose the 'Combo #3' which included a small portion of sirloin, two pieces of bacon wrapped chicken, a couple of ribs, rice & beans, and two sides. The steak was top notch, but I found the chicken and ribs to be on the dry side. Unfortunate, seeing as it sounds like so many others had not had that experience. The place has a very homely feel unlike it's competitors such as Foco De chao and Texas De Brazil they each feel imposing almost as if you are not welcome there, however at Aroma Do Brazil the food is almost if not just as good for less then half the price. I'm not a big meat eater, when I do I usually prefer beef tenderloin/filet mignon. Taking that into consideration, I found the meat, steak and pork ribs, to be overcooked, dry, a little gristly, hard to chew, and not even that tasty. The place was almost empty on a weeknight.
