Two eggs, bacon, grits, and wheat toast.

Breakfast meeting at Around The Corner (ATC) in Edmond. ATC is a throwback to another era. It offers traditional breakfast menu items, including grits. It's open for lunch and dinner. The vibe is definitely country as its decorated with a mix of country wall art featuring chickens, mixed with OU, OSU, and UCO sports items. I ordered two eggs over easy with bacon grits and wheat toast. The eggs were cooked to perfection which is many times a struggle at many restrauants. The noise was low, the service good and the prices moderate.

Breakfast special with basted eggs and cheesy hash browns w/jalapeños plus eggs and toast.

This place is old fashioned with tons of chicken decor everywhere. I had the cheeseburger and it was very tasty. The curly fries were on point. Service was decent. Coffee was better than I remembered. I'll be back.

The food here was amazing. We did not have a single bad food item. Would definitely come back again.

Meatloaf special and that is fried squash

First time here. They share part of their menu with the beer place next door. The prices next door are not correct anymore it says that a BLT is 6.50 and it's 7.50 but it's also really confusing about sides. When I walked in there wasn't a soul in here I was the only customer and it's a cute place and has a lot of little kitcy things. Pictures of chickens Etc the atmosphere is cute except there's nobody here. I was trying to get something that wasn't fried and I was told it was okay. But the cook scent the vegetable fried anyway. Now prices. I didn't look at the menu for The BLT because the price at the other place explained it. I also ordered the special meatloaf because I wanted to take it home and give some of it to my pup as well. The BLT was made with the least amount of tomato that you can possibly imagine it's like one small tomato slice cut in half and put on either side of the bread there was actually more bread than there was everything else and it came with fried chips when I specifically said not to give me anything fried. I think their chef must be pretty crabby because I ended up ordering the sides of fried squash, green beans, a salad and a little bit of fruit it was the lesser evil so to speak, but in the end because I got a very small salad I got charged for the salad. You are supposed to get two sides for both things is what I thought but again I should have looked closer. In the end the salad was basically a tiny bit of lettuce with a little bit of tomatoes on it that's it great I also asked whether or not they could just saute the squash but he wasn't going to do that I asked for onions on top of the salad the cook didn't do that. The server was nice, especially within the confines of the restrictions in this place. But Communication in general between the cook and the server and me it was like a game of who's on first. I don't know if I'd ever give this place another try.

    Breakfast Burrito

The time is 10:06 in the morning. A cool breeze moves the air after the rain came in the night. I enter the cafe. The cafe is decorated in an amount of roosters/chickens that can only be described as aggressive. The diners mostly appear to have successfully retired or are still in school and the waitress has called me hun no fewer than 4 times. We had exchanged maybe 5 sentences. I am happy. I have ordered the Chicken and Waffles. I have asked them to make is spicy. Now I wait. Luckily there are activities in the menu, which appears to change monthly. Sandwiched in between August's Crossword and an Easy Sudoku is a box that encourages you to "Try Pete Reeser's Special" which is Two hard boiled eggs, a Side of Fruid, and a Side of Mayonnaise. That special is $6.00 of American money. The time is 10:19. My food has arrived. It looks delicious. My partner's Breakfast Burrito looks extremely like a burrito. The chicken strips tossed in a sriracha honey are what I will politely call "Oklahoma Spicy" (2/10 if you like spicy and if you think pepper is spicy it's a 10/10) and that's not bad. The syrup isn't too thick and the butter is creamy. The eating experience was slightly better than acceptable. The burrito also tasted like a burrito but the salsa may be the surprise of the meal as it was nice and lite and added some freshness to the burrito. Overall this is An Oklahoma Diner and it does that job well.

This is a great American food establishment here folks!!They got prisoners back there cooking and ex-trucker chicks bringing out some of the best food you'll eat on any given day! Of course I'm kidding, except the part about the food! I only had a waffle and it was easily the best I've ever had,but I know good food when I see it and I had to restrain myself from asking people for samples off their plates. Give it a try and tell em Gianni sent ya!

    Cinnamon roll

A classic dinner, fun ambiance with old school Oklahoma/Oklahoma State/Thunder posters as wall decoration. Ordered the chicken and waffles and got the spicy option, which were pretty heavy on the Siracha flavor. Cinnamon roll was the star!

This is comfort food the way you want it to be! My wife had been wanting to eat catfish for the past few weeks but just couldn't decide where to get it from. The she mentioned Boomerang and I thought why not we've not been there since 2019; I have an app that keeps track of the restaurants I visit. A 50's/60's style diner serving up food you love. Usually we come here for breakfast but today it was for dinner. First time I've had their Chicken Fried Steak and it was worthy. A much thinner style that what I'm used to but it was worth the try & it turned out to be very good. Couldn't decide on style of gravy so I got both! As a side I choose the coleslaw, I liked that it was served cold! Wasn't necessarily my favorite because I felt it has to much onion for my liking. Matthew the Assistant Manager gave us great tips and definitely recommended the AYCE Catfish. Not that my wife was going to eat that much catfish she only reordered once. I had to give it a try and as suggested by Matthew it was light & tasty! The first order comes out with 5 pieces of catfish followed by 3 pieces each time you decide you want more. The great thing about the meal is that itbwasn't overly heavy which meant . . . . we could share a dessert! There is only one option which is the fried pie and perfect for sharing! We got ours a la mode which is their vanilla bean! Definitely worth it! I love the fact that there were all sorts of memorabilia on the walls and this added to the overall feel for the diner. It may be a while before we get back here again but if you're looking for a change of pace look no further than right here!

It was hard to know what to order at first because there were so many good things....there are dinner specials, there are flatbread pizzas, there's plenty of eggs all day including platters, Benedicts, omelettes, and all these bowls I ended up getting a steak bowl with scrambled eggs on top of hash browns with hollandaise sauce and grape tomatoes. Very tasty and just right as far as being filling. I asked for a little bit of onion as well and it was just delicious. They have avocado toast cinnamon roll pancakes croissant french toast waffles Belgian waffles so many really good things fried Chicken huevos rancheros avocado breakfast sandwiches I mean you've got a lot. There are a lot of great lunch and dinner items you can get chicken pot pie which everybody craves so often there's roasted turkey there's meatloaf shrimp and grits ribs shepherd's pie teriyaki salmon many many different burgers that look amazing and special sandwiches like a double decker BLT chicken salad croissant Philly cheese steak Metro club and more great salads it looks like and many different sides that you can get. They have regular iced tea and coffee but they always have a flavored one as well, non-sweetened. It's great. The service is very friendly and prompt They have just two desserts one is a bread pudding with lemon and blueberries and the other is a chocolate cake so if you're coming for dinner and dessert just know that you have a couple of choices I don't know if they change or not. There's a lot of different sides like green beans and broccoli and other things that are not only tasty but healthy. The most amazing part is is that the prices are very moderate which is so good that's why it's crowded in here all the time the older crowd and people with families come to this place. And then also people that maybe just want to come and talk to a friend in a cute little booth. It's definitely a recommended place to be.

Gage, our waiter was very professional and helpful. He guided us through the menu and helped us make good choices. We started with three mule cocktails. We had the Oaxacan, the Moscow and Kentucky Mules. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails. One thing that stood out to me for my Oaxacan Mule is that the Mezcal's smoky flavor really shown through and it was not overly sweet. A very clean cocktail, which I highly appreciate! We ordered the Chef's Salad Wrap with Onion Rings, French Dip with the tomato soup, and the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with seasonal side of grits. I enjoyed the Chef's Salad Wrap but I would probably be a little more bold next time and get the Cortez or the Reuben. I craved a lighter choice and was more sinful with the over the top delicious onion rings! Wowowow! Hubby enjoyed his soup and French dip and son enjoy his Philly cheesesteak and grits. We were greeted warmly and offered to take any table as only a couple other tables were taken. The restaurant is clean and homey with a European/ French influence in some of the food items and decor. The soft jazz playing added to the French bistro vibe. Being our first visit, we chatted with the new owner who took over from her sister. She was very friendly and engaging. When asked why beignets were on the menu she said because she loved them and travels to visit family in France on the regular. We ordered one to try and it was just like what you find at Cafe Du Monde in Jackson Square. The croissants looked tempting and like what we've had in French restaurants, but we didn't have any. The menu is undergoing a few changes expanding the breakfast offerings but will retain most of the menu items. The server was also very friendly, thorough and checked on us several times. He was also very engaging and helped us with the menu. I had the Western Omelet, potatoes and toast (brioche). The "European Butter blend" had a much better flavor than the usual packaged butter. The omelet was good and the salsa very tasty, but not spicy. My wife loved that they offered "Small Bites" for smaller appetites. She had 1 egg (cooked a perfect over medium), 2 slices of bacon and French toast (1 slice cut in half). She enjoyed her meal. We will definitely be back to sample more of the menu.

The entrance has had a light refresh as well. Gone is the big glass dessert display case but the additional walking space is nice. Sadly we learned that the cakes are being discontinued, RIP the wonderful carrot cake. Fortunately we snagged one of the last pieces. It's my understanding that cookies and other sweet treats will still be available. The menu is loaded with new and exciting choices. Deciding what to choose was a great problem to have. We started with the Trio Dipper with house made chips and balloon bread, which is like pita bread on steroids and just as delicious. The dip selections were terrific and we were brought more chips when ours ran low. Two of us ordered the Tuscan Chicken. They were exceptional bites. They were parmesan breaded chicken fritters stuffed with the tomatoes and cheese. It's an inventive take on a traditional recipe and a tasty home run! My husband ordered the Chicken Piccata, looking for a lower calorie option. The lemon butter wine sauce was delicious and it's a terrific option. The last guest chose the fried chicken which is an old and familiar favorite. You absolutely cannot go wrong. We ended the night sharing a piece of carrot cake and a salted caramel cookie.
