This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Edmond. Located in Downtown Edmond, it has this adorable classic diner feel. The food is excellent and the fresh squeezed orange juice is to DIE FOR. It's definitely a great family friendly brunch spot! read more

Its locally owned and operated. I get the burger and curly fries. The inside needs updating, but its a cute little downtown diner. Good breakfast, cheap $5 lunch specials, fast and friendly service. Try it out, don't expect too much though. Much better than Denny's or IHOP for sure. read more

We waited for almost an hour for 2 omelettes and a side of sausage. No apology or care from the waitress. It's a shame b/c the food was good but the service was so poor so we will not be back. We had 2 children with us and were lucky they had patience to wait that long. read more

Growing up in Edmond this was the go to place for breakfast. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Our last trip was indeed our last. Imitation eggs, bacon so thin you can see through it and cheese product in the omelette. The "butter" isn't even real. You can tell the original owner died and the people running the joint now just don't put the same care into their food. New in town and trying all the breakfast places. We went in on a Sunday morning and it was pretty busy, but we were able to get a table right away. The service here needs a little improvement. We were seated for probably 10 minutes before anyone came over and asked for our drink orders. Another 10 minutes until we got our coffee. And then after we ordered our food, it was about 40 minutes until we got our food. The food was just your standard breakfast, nothing that left an impression on me. Prices were pretty reasonable. Extremely slow. Order was made wrong. Took about 45 minutes for 1 of 4 meals to come out. About an hour for the rest. Really used to love this place, but it has gone down hill in the past couple of years. There are plenty of staff, plenty of seats, just poor customer service. Hopefully things will change. Whoever came up with a burger topped with ham, cheese, and hash browns deserves a Noble Peace Prize. I'm certain enemies could bond over that burger. My wife ordered the fried chicken and it was good and the portion was huge, in fact it's our dinner tonight. The Cole slaw was ok, the onions rings were not good so I'd avoid them. This is definitely one of my favorite places for breakfast around OKC. Down home feel with great people working. I really like that I can get the kind of country breakfast I would eat growing up. When I lived in Oklahoma I used to love breakfast here. When I visit this is the place for breakfast.

Good for breakfast, but then, who can screw up eggs and bacon? Coffee is just OK, nothing special. I made the mistake of coming here for lunch and got the open-face roast beef. What I had expected, and what I've gotten almost everywhere else I ate this dish, was two or three slices of roast beef on a piece of bread covered in gravy. What I got, however, was nasty shredded beef. Not at all good, and I was hungry so I forced myself to finish it, but I didn't like it at all. A friend didn't seem surprised when I told him about this, and I get the impression that in Oklahoma it's common to serve open-face roast beef sandwiches like this. If that's the case, I'll have to look for a different selection. If it's not common to do that, however, then I give this place one star for serving up such a nasty, unpleasant offering. The fries were just OK, and the onion rings were basic, breaded rings. also just OK. Decor is standard diner look, nothing special. Wait staff is pleasant. I think they draw from the local high school for their staff, so most of the girls serving were young and pretty and enthusiastic. That's a plus -- I didn't encounter anyone grumpy or sullen. (Can't always say that about low-cost diners.) Like I said, it's a good place for breakfast. I'll continue to go for morning meals, but I'll be staying away from anything else like lunch. read more

Terrible service. Day and waited 30 minutes to see anyone. Finally the owner came and said "I'm gonna slap someone." He took our order, but ten more minutes when the server came she took it again. When our food finally came mine was cold, my kids' French toast was undercooked, and they never once asked how it was or refilled our soft drinks. The cashier had been watching and when I got up to pay she said "It really hurts me to take your money." Not as much as it hurts me to be forced to pay for such terrible food and service. Massive fail from the owner on down. Biggest waste of time and $34.02 in my life. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO AROUND THE CORNER AGAIN!!! Stay has far away from this place as possible. Went there this morning for breakfast, they weren't that busy, I counted 12 customers and several already had their food, but we still had to wait half an hour for our food and then it wasn't correct. The waitress said it would just take a minute to fix it, but ended up taking about 10 mins. Was almost done with the rest of the meal before we could get a piece of ham. Although it was sitting up in the window to be picked up, the waitress was too busy getting things out of a locker to pay attention that it was ready. The cook needs to learn what eggs "over easy" is, mine were not. The food was not very warm, the toast was actually cold, so I'm assuming the order was ready, just not noticed by the waitress. The biscuits and gravy were a joke, the gravy is put in a small plastic condiment container, barely enough to cover one biscuit. Not sure what happened to small bowls of gravy they used to have, but they definitely don't want to give you too much gravy. Really disappointed since they've gotten new owners, the place isn't like what it used to be for all these years. They need to bring back their old cooks and wait staff, when food was much better, served hot and promptly. read more

Not worth driving one block out of the way to find a parking spot. Unimpressive food, the meat on a sandwich should cover the bread, and it should not take 35 min to get sandwiches to the table. Slow service $8.00 for a sandwich and wimpy fries. I have had better Reuben sandwich at Arby's. Three of us ordered sandwiches, the food was hot but took way to long to get to the table. No reason to go back. Less than half the tables had people seated, not busy. The food wasn't that good but at least they didn't hurry making it or bringing it to our table. We went in approx 11:25 am. we ordered..my husband had eggs sunny side up, I had Indian Taco- it took over 1/2 hour to get these items. When the eggs were brought to us they were over done on the bottom- my husband sent them back, in the meantime I tried my Indian taco...it was HORRIBLE!! ZERO seasoning...imagine fried ground beef on top of a CRISPY Tortilla like shell---The cheese wouldn't even melt. This is not an Indian taco...somebody need to go back to culinary school!!!! Normally rate this as a 4 star but not for last Monday's breakfast visit. Only three tables with customers already eating when we arrived. We ordered promptly and expected food within 5 to 10 minutes and piping hot as usual. After 15 minutes I began to wonder what happened to our order. We could see food sitting on the serving counter in the kitchen but our waitress was "busy" with the only other waitress at the front of the restaurant. When she finally broke away she proceeded to clear a previously occupied table near us. Then she proceeded to wrap napkins around clean silverware for upcoming customers. Finally she looked back toward the kitchen and proceeded to gather our food for delivery to our table. My first bite of eggs was at best lukewarm so I immediately called the waitress over and asked for a warm-up. She immediately started on a string of excuses, the first lie about a vent pipe or something pointing in the wrong direction over food warming counter in the kitchen ?? The second lie was how she "RAN" back to the kitchen as soon as she was notified our food was ready for pickup. I countered by telling her that was not true because after 15 minutes of waiting in an almost non-occupied restaurant I started watching her wondering when she was going to fetch our food. Serving a cold breakfast is one thing but deliberately lying to place the blame elsewhere is completely unacceptable. I have been coming here for over 35 years and would normally rate the food and service a solid 4 stars, but not today, and now it will be a while before I return. read more
