I love this place. The food is great and they are always accommodating. They really want to make sure you're happy with the service.

Wasn't bad... Cheese sticks, for being one of their specialties, were swimming in grease. Oil is obviously not kept hot enough to seal the outside of the batter. Nachos were pretty good. Burgers were ok... seemed they were lacking seasoning or something. I think that they use a 90/10 burger mix has something to do with it, burgers should be 80/20 in my opinion. My husbands fish and fries were full of grease (in the bottom of the basket) - he immediately told our server who alerted the manager. She came over, joked about it and said that she would "discount" his meal. We were thinking they'd take it off of our tab totally since he only had 1/2 piece of fish & none of the cole slaw or fries. We got our check and she had literally "discounted" the meal - she took off 1/2 the price of the meal. Since he'd only eaten 1/2 piece of fish (out of 2 pieces) and nothing else in his meal she, had she cared about her customers, should have removed the cost of the entire meal (and not made a joke about his meal being full of grease). He told her that we go there often but that he usually orders a burger but wanted to try something new off their menu this time and her response? Yes, yes, yes!!! Have had Arthur's several times. Most of the time we were having it delivered via door dash. Unfortunately that option is no longer available but it doesnt change how great the food is. The burgers are out of this world good, especially the Hawaiian one. The won ton appetizers are also amazing. I have yet to have a bad meal there. read more

My son and daughter have special needs and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Instead of making us feel like we were burdening everyone with more work, they made us feel welcome and gave us excellent service. My mother and I went for lunch with the intention of checking out the $5 Luau Burger as a part of Cincinnati Burger Week. My mother asked out waitress if she could have the toppings on the side with the special. The server sent a manager to talk to us. The manager stated that CityBeat's rules prevents the restaurant from serving the special with the toppings on the side. The manager continued by saying that the restaurant was already losing $3 on the special. My mother told the manager that we were relatively in a hurry - that we needed to leave the restaurant within 45 minutes. She asked if the meal would be quick enough for that. The manager responded that the average ticket time was around 12 minutes. I question that CityBeat doesn't allow Burger Week participants to serve their special with toppings on the side. The manager's statements about the restaurant losing money on the promotion and ticket times were inappropriate. My Luau burger was OK. I didn't care for chopped snow peas and pineapple as a topping for a burger. The teriyaki sauce was overwhelming and the whole thing was sticky and messy. My mother's medium rare burger had a cool red center so she sent it back as under-cooked. She had cut the burger in half. They recooked the same burger and brought it back. (While it may be technically food safe, I feel negatively about crossing a customer's partially eaten food with the back of house preparation area.) They did however give her a fresh, yet not toasted bun with her recooked burger. Burger Week is a promotion that intends to draw in customers with the hope they'll return outside of the event. Unfortunately how the restaurant handled the promotion doesn't make me want to return. The food and it's handling wasn't great and the manager's comments were inappropriate. read more

Came here twice while working on a project in the area... The restaurants all up and down this street may play to the clientele who like the chain-like types of bland food, but not this place.They had delicious fresh burgers and the service was excellent... Good work! read more

Been here twice. Both times were stellar service, and fantastic food. Mostly burgers, but there are other things on the menu and a good libation section. That being said, I'm not sure ill get past the burgers to try anything else. They have certain days where toppings are discounted. Details in the menu. Went for "happy hour" $2 bottle beers which waitress said included Mich Ultra. Later got our bill and were charged $3.75 each bottle of ultra. Complained and manager said they were not domestic. However they are in every grocery store and other bar in Cincy..... BW3, Roosters, and more. Order a burger which was mediocre at best. Flipdaddy's or any other place is better than here. Do not waste your money on overprice beer and food. Much better choices in town. Manager was oblivious to what good happy hour prices really mean in Cincinnati! read more

I had the black and blue burger and it was awesome! The cajun fries were also very good as were the onion rings. Our server was Stephen I think and he was the best server I've had in quite awhile. My friend and I both loved our food and had a great time. No wait, excellent food, excellent service! I was very pleased. My only problem was I rolled my ankle in a hole in the parking lot! Food and service was good. I had the Rueben and liked that the kraut wasn't crazy sour. I'm rating 3 stars because that night I got a horrifying stomach flu/infection/virus or something that knocked me off my feet for 4 days. Then I had repercussions for 6 weeks and went through two types of antibiotics to get back to normal. I was perfectly healthy before eating here. Our waitress was very nice. My buffalo chicken salad was really good but my husband, he says his burger was dry. He ordered it well done but it came out pink. Other than that it was a good experience. We didn't have to wait to get a table for dinner on a Sunday night. And even though the place looked full it didn't take terribly long to get our meal either. I would go back to try other items on their menu. read more

Just had dinner here tonight- fried cod sandwich and a caesar salad- was great ! Companion had the HydeParker burger and fries- also good. Service was excellent, noise level and lighting both on the low side , which we prefer. Will definitely be back. read more

Ate here tonight for the second time. The burgers really are awesome. I had the breakfast burger, which was amazing. I WILL be getting that again. I was also very impressed with their service. I love this homey pub. The servers and staff are always warm and sweet and anticipate your needs, and the food always meets my expectations. I come here looking for comfort food--burgers with bacon, fish and chips, maybe an app or two, and am never disappointed. I continue to be perplexed at how easy it is to get a table here: Anderson is a notoriously difficult area to thrive in owning an independent restaurant, as it's a very chain-driven area, and my fear is that they may not stick around if it continues to be slow. This place is 10x better than any Applebee's or Wendy's, and if you consider the value and quality of food you get a much better bang for your buck. It's maybe closer to a 4.5 but it was so much better than the alleged best burger in town (Terry's) and I am still sitting here in a state of contentment after just having downed a half pound of beef topped with bacon, cheddar, and a fried egg- so I am feeling generous enough to round up. I used to come to Arthur's every week when I worked nearby. I haven't been here in a few months. I read reviews about the place going downhill and they have. I ordered a Cobb Salad ($10.75) and it only had 5 pieces of lettuce on it and some of the leaves were wilted already. It had more toppings. The chicken made the entire salad wet because it appeared it had been boiled. It also wasn't fully cut into pieces. So disappointing. I will not be back. read more

We've been eating at Arthur's in Anderson, on average, once or twice a month since it opened. The food and service is generally good. This past Sunday we went in for lunch and had the worst and oddest customer service experience ever. We were literally the first people in the restaurant that morning and were shown to a booth, as usual in a foodservice situation we were asked if this booth would be "ok". Now I should mention that 90% of the booths in this section the the restaurant are shabby and torn with the tears covered with duct tape. The seat on this particular booth had tape that had been turned sticky side up by what had likely been a long series of butt slides in and out of the long suffering seat. My wife asked if we could be seated in the booth just behind since there were no tears and no sticky tape on that seat. The hostess and server refused. We had not yet been seated, had not yet ordered, and the server would not have lost a ticket because our requested booths was also her station. After a bit of discussion, not heated but tense, we agreed (under significant protest) to remain in our assigned booth. The only explanation offered by the server and hostess was this, "all of our booths have tape on them", (except of course for the one we requested) in my mind neither a compelling nor savory rationale. Stupidly, we ate anyway, ignored the crappy service and attitude and left a tip, and decided to never return. Shabby surroundings and inexplicably rude treatment, do not make for strong customer loyalty. There are any number of other places to get an overpriced hamburger. read more

Had dinner here last Wednesday night. Everything was good and I would have given it more stars BUT we were told when three of the four dinners came out that they missed one burger . They did want to give a complimentary dessert. We were almost finished when my sister's meal came out. They should have comp that meal. read more
