This was a lovely experience, and I'll start with the two reasons this place doesn't get a 5-star review. When I made the reservation for 3 I specifically asked that we "not be seated next to a kitchen or bathroom," and we were seated right next to both. There was an endless stream of people/bodies throughout the entire meal, and it was disappointing to make a simple request that could not be filled. Secondly, I ordered the Chilean sea bass and was underwhelmed by the dish. The fish felt slightly overcooked, so I only ate a bite and focused on my sides. Those two things aside, this was actually a nice experience. Our server, Haita (an attractive young man from Morocco with piercing blue eyes and a delightful accent) made up for the seating disappointment with excellent service. He was attentive, brought and presented food in a timely manner, and was knowledgeable about the menu. Speaking of the menu...we'd gone here specifically for lamb chops because someone in my party had been craving them. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and lamb chops were not on the curated, Valentine's menu (we dined on the 15th). We considered leaving to find lamb chops elsewhere, but we ultimately stayed and the person in my party ordered a ribeye instead. GREAT choice. It was a beautiful cut of meat, cooked to medium-well perfection, and perfectly spiced. There's always a chance that when a place doesn't put salt/pepper on the table that they've wildly overestimated their abilities to cater to the general palate. Not so here. It was a treat to discover that everything that came to the table was perfectly spiced. The ribeye had a perfect char on it, the juices were succulent, and the meat was fantastically tender. According to one of my guests, it was "divine." She also used the same word to describe the shrimp and lobster bisque, but I disagreed. In all honesty, the best thing about this dish was the presentation (I made a little video, so you'll see what I mean!). This just felt like a regular lobster bisque with a piece of shrimp tossed in (on a crostini) to "fancy it up." I wasn't too impressed, but the other at the table seemed to enjoy it. The decor is lovely: old-world steakhouse vibes with dark wood paneling, bold artwork on the walls that speaks to the state's leisure culture, and a beautiful bar area. The decor alone can rival that of any steakhouse in a major metropolitan city on the East or West coast. From the truncated menu we ordered the ribeye, the Chilean sea bass (with green beans), mashed potatoes, asparagus, and copious drinks. Make sure you order your asparagus grilled, you won't be disappointed. Perfect seasoning and perfect texture, truly. The lemon drop cocktail is a winner for anyone who likes a sweet beverage. I've never known Maker's Mark to disappoint, and you can't mess up a Gin & Tonic. But throw in some fancy beveled glasses, and heavy encrusted tumblers, and you've got yourself a drinking experience. I love visiting the bathrooms in places like this to see if the overall aesthetic tracks to all of the guest spaces, and unfortunately here it did not. It's just an okay bathroom that feels like a bit of an afterthought, but I get it. It's a bathroom. I just couldn't help but expect someone close to grand (grand-ish) given what the front of the house looked like. One thing I did see which I cannot end my review without mentioning is the attention to detail the servers placed on the small things. It did not take more than 2 minutes for a dirty table to be cleaned and completely re-set. The bussers move quickly! The waitstaff moves with purpose and incorporates the tiny details into their regular routine. Thanks to the unglamorous seating nearly the kitchen/bathroom I had a chance to see how the waitstaff handled plates/cutlery/etc. The wine glass cabinet was to our right, and I was impressed to see EACH AND EVERY SERVER who pulled a glass take the time to hold the glass up to the light to check for smudges before using them with the guest. Glasses that weren't clean weren't just wiped and used, they were put away with the dirty dishes and staff pulled another glass. It was impressive to see this was clearly a part of their training to which the waitstaff adhered. Finally. There's serious sticker shock with this place, but that's going to happen if you go to a decent steakhouse. This was better than decent, my friends. If I had it all to do over again, I'd get a steak from a steakhouse and stop trying to chase the Nobu-inspired Chilean sea bass high I got hooked on a few years back in Vegas. Arthur's Prime Steakhouse First night in Arkansas visiting my niece and cousin, and we kicked things off with dinner here, an absolutely gorgeous venue with impeccable service all around. Everyone was warm, attentive, and really made the whole evening feel special. We went all out with the appetizers: Oysters on the Half Shell: mignonette sauce, cocktail sauce, horseradish (MP) Wagyu Beef Carpaccio: mustard horseradish , parmesan shavings, fried capers (19) Ahi Tuna Tartare: avocado, pico, soy-lime ginger (19) All three were fantastic, but the wagyu carpaccio was probably my favorite: thin, melt-in-your-mouth beef with that sharp bite from the mustard horseradish and crispy capers. The oysters were fresh and briny, and the tuna tartare was super refreshing. For the main: CERTIFIED JAPANESE KOBE: The Ultimate Beef Experience (upon availability ~ by the ounce, market price). I went with the 5oz cut, and this might be the best beef I've ever tasted. Literally like butter. Every bite melted instantly: rich, fatty, and flavorful without being overwhelming. Added a lobster tail (Surf & Turf, add one Lobster tail to any steak or chop, market price), which was perfectly cooked, sweet, and paired nicely with the richness of the kobe. Sides to share: Asparagus: grilled (14) Arthur's Mac-n-cheese (12) Creamed Corn (11) The grilled asparagus was fresh with a good char, the mac was creamy with a crispy topping, and the creamed corn added that nice touch of sweetness to balance the richness of everything else. We finished it off with the Dubai Chocolate for dessert. One of the best desserts I've had to date. Decadent, rich, with the perfect balance of chocolate and sweetness to end the meal on a high note. My friend took me here while I was visiting Little Rock,AR. We had reservations for 7:30pm on a Monday. We were seated promptly. For appetizers, we ordered: * Colossal Lump Crab Cake - was a ok, nothing extraordinary and a bit dry. * Baked Brie with strawberry pistachio topping - was really good! I ordered the Arthur's filet, it was tender but lacking in flavor. My friend ordered the sea bass which came with sweet potato. It was a hearty portion. She gave me a portion to taste - it had good flavor. Her husband ordered the ribeye and he said it was tender. Cheesecake was good. Ambiance - adequate lighting (not too bright nor too dark); high end steakhouse. Not too loud/noisy which is really a plus so you can enjoy a quiet, relaxed dinner. Lots of parking. I wanted to celebrate my birthday with my mom and go to a really nice restaurant so I chose Arthur's. Let me first say that the service was impeccable, thank you, James. However, the food was underwhelming. I'll start with the bone-in ribeye. There was no sear whatsoever on the steak. It came out light gray, and bland tasting. While it was cooked the way, I normally order it. It was a bit tough as well. My mother ordered the roasted chicken, let me start by saying she's 86 and struggles to find something that she wants to eat. Sadly, the roasted chicken was not just unappealing, it was not edible. I watched her trying to hack through the chicken with her arthritic little hands and was shocked. It literally looked like boot leather. You would expect a roasted chicken to, at the very least, be as tender and juicy as a rotisserie chicken from Walmart. Especially considering it's supposed to be a fine dining experience. It was not. The desserts were OK and honestly, the bread that you get at the beginning of the meal was the most enjoyable part. To say I was disappointed that my choice for my birthday dinner wasn't a good one is an understatement. I will also add that we did not complain nor did we tell our Waiter because, we just wanted to have a nice evening and didn't want to deal with any drama or issues or anything like that so we just accepted what was served and paid for it and left. I do not know why the restaurant gets such rave reviews. To be honest, I could've bought a steak at Kroger and cooked it and have it taste way better than what was served to me. Let me start out by saying that I have been to Arthur's multiple times and never been disappointed. Needless to say, when Mom and Dad chose to celebrate Mom's birthday here, considering it was their first time, I told them they would be in for a treat. He had an amazing personality and made sure our experience was wonderful. For our appetizer, we ordered the Wagyu beef carpaccio. The beef is thinly sliced and placed over a horseradish sauce. It is served with pita chips. The beef was tender and rich abd the pita chips were to die for. For our entrees, Mom ordered the Kansas City strip with a side of Brussels sprouts with prosciutto. She loved both the strip and the Brussels sprouts. Dad ordered the filet, which he kept saying was delicious. I ordered the Chilean sea bass, which was served on a mash of sweet potatoes. The Chilean sea bass was flaky and very flavorful and the mashed sweet potatoes were SO delicious. I need the recipe for the sweet potato mash! I very rarely clear my plate, but definitely did this time and the same goes for my parents. As it was Mom's birthday celebration, she was provided a dessert, which was a dark chocolate creme brûlée, with "Happy Birthday [insert name]" written in chocolate on the plate. It was a perfect ending to a perfect dinner experience. I ordered the chocolate cheesecake, which was so decadent and rich. I'll say if you're looking for good steak then Arthur's won't disappoint. With a classy interior, stacked bar, and helpful service, you won't be disappointed grabbing a meal here. Only docking a point because outside of the steak, I honestly didn't enjoy any of the sides/other entrees. The halibut seemed dry and overcooked, the Brussel sprouts tasted a bit soggy and undercooked, and the mashed potatoes were run of the mill. The quality overall was probably consistent with a lesser venue but I guess my expectations were higher for this location and price point. Excellent fine dining in Arkansas. 4.5 stars. My family and I went there for Easter dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Excellent steak and the wine list was solid. I appreciated them having a decanter for the wine and other thoughtful touches that one expects from fine dining. We had our room but the bar area was well decorated and had a piano player. Price is high as you'd expect from a restaurant as nice as Arthur's. But the quality of the food, while quite good, was not mind blowing. Hence the 4 instead of 4 stars. read more

I looked up " best brunch in Little Rock" to take my mom on a lovely lunch. Unfortunately, that was not what happened. We made reservations for brunch weeks in advance. The Mother's Day brunch had great items available. There was no mention of "buffet style" on the website: we got there and the food was cold. The chicken was dry. The tenderloin was rare and slimy. The macaroni and cheese cheese wasn't even melted. It was still shredded cheese format and globby. When I told the manager he said, "this is what we offer to everyone and everyone is happy." I said, "I'm not happy and I'm important too." So we left. Every mediocre breakfast chain in town will make you fresh eggs to order. I think I've only ever seen eggs sitting in a buffet at a free continental breakfast from a hotel. Even a burger restaurant asks you how you want your beef cooked... disappointing. My Niece (Lakita) ordered food from this restaurant for a repass and the food was excellent. My family went crazy over the potatoes and the large rolls. All of the sides were good as well.
