Steak bites up top, salmon and risotto on the bottom
    Trina M.

This is probably the best on site resturant in a hotel I've dined in a long time. The interior is just as impressive. I was staying in the downtown Marriott in Little Rock for a conference and decided to get a few bites with a friend. We chose fried green tomatoes, steak bites, the beet salad and the salmon with risotto. Fried green tomatoes: 7/10 different approach here, they use pickled green tomatoes which adds acidity in a way that's unexpected but beet good. The roumalade is noted as coffee infused but I know it had horseradish instead. Good, but TOO much kick. Especially with the pickled version of the tomatoes. Steak bites: 1/10 we were leery about ordering these vs a whole steak because these get overcooked more often than not. I asked the waitress and she said they were good so we gave them a shot and they came out as little chunks of salty rubber. So disappointing. Beet salad: 8/10 this was so very nicely done. The beets are not canned and have way more bite to them than you think, the pecans in the salad are so good- the only things I would adjust are the greens to topping ratio- I think more greens were needed and just a touch more dressing. But this was a GOOD salad. Salmon w/risotto: Salmon 9/10 risotto 0/10 I had to rate these separately because the Salmon did not deserve the stray from the horribly executed risotto. Gordon Ramsey would have thrown the plate against the wall. The Salmon, however, deserved an Oscar, Tony, and Pulitzer. The sear and seasoning were angelical. Magnificent! Now to close..... I had a theory, so I asked the waitress- is the guy on steak bites also on the risotto station? Her eyes widened as she confirmed my suspicion. How did you know? She asked. I can taste his DISDAIN in these dishes I said- someone turned down PTO or a raise for that man and he's taking it out on US. (not joking,I really said all of that) So, especially on the nights that guy ain't working the line.... 2025 BIG BACK APPROVED!!!

Not worth it. In a pinch Labor Day weekend we were in a pinch trying to find a place. The scallops were ok. The salmon was good. But the bed of mushroom risotto was the star of the plate. The lobster bisque was beef gravy brown. And equally as bad. As it looked. Service was fine. No complaints about the staff.

Absolutely delicious! Great drinks, food and service! The meat was so tender and the deviled eggs were delicious!!

Hotel Bar. 3rd meal here. The food was good, the beer cold and the service prompt and friendly. What's not to like?

If you are staying at the Marriott this is a fine option for dining. I stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks and ate here several times. The food is good but the service was slow on occasions. The dessert is awesome. The lobster Cobb salad is really good.

This restaurant was so packed and only waiter available to do it all. One bar tender too. With that being said let's say the service was as good as it could be considering the circumstances. Wish I caught the waiters name, he was a man if that helps at all. He filled my water consistently and was pleasant, friendly, and attentive. The food was mixed reviews which is the reason for my four stars. Best ever collard greens I have ever tried. Orange soda collard greens! These are sweet with a slight citrus tang flavor and my goodness! I doubt I'll ever find any this good. Definitely 5 stars. Pictures are posted for your viewing pleasure but the pictures can't depict the amazing taste! Club sandwich was a three star. Meat tasted like a very cheap brand and more of a prepackaged meat taste and not a freshly sliced butcher cut meat. Other than that the sandwich was good! The banana swirl cake was so good I ate it two days in a row! I don't think it's made in the Restraunt but definitely the best banana cake I have ever tried. There are caramelized pecans on it! Yummy! 5 stars for sure! Very moist cake and served chilled! Just couldn't understand the meat used in the club sandwich so I have to take off a star for that!

    Lobster bisque

I would not recommend the lobster bisque. Ended up having steak tips, which were good, but still not the best experience ever.

This restaurant is conveniently located within the Marriott hotel and after a long day of travel, it was really nice to have a place like this right where we were staying. The service here was very friendly and quick. The cocktails were okay and the food itself was pretty good, not the best, but definitely good. My wife and I started off with the bacon deviled eggs and these were great. I'm a sucker for deviled eggs and these definitely scratched that itch. My wife followed up with the NY strip steak (rare) and I had the seared scallops. My wife loved her steak. Whenever she asks for rare, it a tossup whether or not it will actually make it rare and kudos to Heritage, they made it perfectly. My scallops were pretty good, a little bland, but they were excellent quality and very tender. We finished off with the banana swirl cake and the molten lava cake. The molten lava cake was super rich with chocolate goodness and the banana swirl cake was incredible, if you're a fruity dessert person. There was an apparent banana taste, but it wasn't overpowering. On top of the flavor it was moist and creamy, allowing the flavors to coat your tongue with its deliciousness! Overall, if you're in the area and staying at this Marriott hotel, this is a solid dinner option. It's a huge to not have to travel for food. I also believe this is the kitchen that prepares the room service orders as well.

So my husband and I went here tonight and the food looks pretty! I have been here on my birthday for the past two years for alone time and enjoyed it. I took my husband with me for a date this time. This time the food tasted microwaved. I attempted to enjoy the braised beef pappardelle, as I have before, but it was only hot for about ten seconds and tasted like the veg was added in after the fact. The beef was dry and tough. Before, it had always been cooked wonderfully and tender. My husband had the burger and fries with no onion. It came with onion and took over 15 minutes to re make a burger with a kraft single for cheese on it. The first server we had, Laura Y was nice, but the other female who was assisting was somewhat rude. My husband had asked for more water after having his water empty for over 20 minutes. He asked the second server if it had been shift change and maybe he could get some more water. She said no, it was a team effort and Laura would be helping him with that. She had such an attitude too, like we shouldnt be asking. We only asked the second server about the water since it had been so long, and us, having been servers before, assumed it was a simple mistake during shift change. For $37 a braised beef pasta plate, I expected not to have leftovers served to me. Also, my husband got a side of "mushroom risotto". It was mushy minute rice with Parmesan added in after being microwaved. They just chopped up one whole raw mushroom to add in after the fact. Not using Arborio rice at all. This should be a dish made from the heart not microwaved ‍. Sorry. Guess I won't be back. Thankfully, they did take off the pasta from the bill when I sent it back only after a few bites. It should be noted that it was about 6:30 this past Saturday night and there was only one table besides ours. So not busy.

Excellent food and service! We ordered from the Prix Fixe menu and the portions were huge! The two of us could have easily fed a family of of six. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. We are frequent travelers and Heritage Grille ranks high on the list when it comes to hotel dining.

Because of the great experience I had at lunch, I decided to take my wife there on Thursday night for dinner. Let me be clear: Dinner was a hit! I will start with the Atmosphere. I will be honest, the atmosphere is nice enough. The place is clean for sure. It is not as comfortable a place as some and is reminiscent of many restaurants I have been to. By that I mean, it is almost formulaic in it's set up. Nothing about it is unique or screams Arkansas or Little Rock to me. That is OK, I just want to be clear about the ambiance of the place. I still would give it a four out of five stars on ambiance. That said, it only gets better from here! For starters, we shared the fried green tomatoes with shrimp appetizer, and it was superb! As good as any you will find in NOLA and definitely the best in Arkansas. I highly recommend. For our main courses, my wife had the bacon wrapped filet and I had the rib-eye. We had never tried Samantha's steaks before and I hate to think what all we have been missing because our steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. We shared a side of cheese grits and couldn't had a better meal! For our dessert, we shared a slice of their key lime pie, and again, it was wonderful. A strong five star rating for the food here at Samantha's for sure. As good as the food was, our server Taylor was about the best I have seen in Little Rock since the days of Ashley's at the Capitol hotel. Every dish we ordered that I just described was a recommendation from Taylor. I love it when someone knows their stuff and she was super knowledgeable, with just the right amount of tending to us. Not too much looking over our shoulder every two minutes, but always there when we needed her. Samantha's is lucky to have her on their team. Another strong five star rating regarding service. Can't wait to go back. I feel like they are hitting their stride at Samantha's!

I ordered a fried green tomatoes appetizer and Tom Yum grilled shrimp entree w/ a cucumber onion salad side. The app presentation was as expected garnished and dressed with roumalade. The finished quality was sub par. The tomatoes edges were good but the center was so thick it was crunchy, 4 slices $16. The entrées are solo yet there is an expectation of an elegant presentation. Nope...two undressed, ungarnished skewers of dry shrimp on a plate for $19. That's it, that's all. The best item of the meal was the marinated 2 ingredient "salad" which was... sweet & savory $12. Lastly, what ended up being a "concept" of key lime pie. Presentation glorious, a dinner sized plate decorated with swirls and a decent size helping of a sweet item. This was what looked like an inch of cake crumbs that were recycled by pressing into a form with a 1/4 inch thin layer of key lime custard over top. $9

I ordered the Flank Steak (medium) with mixed vegetables (squash, zucchini, red pepper, onions) and mashed potatoes. It came with chimichurri sauce which was so good. The steak was very tender and flavorful. The veggies were seasoned well and were prepared al dente which I prefer. It was so much food and I couldn't finish it all. I didn't have anything to drink besides water, but the drink menu featured specialty cocktails like the Caipirinha and the Caipiroska. They also offered other cocktails, wine, beer, and NA beverages. Even with having two servers, I still feel like the service could have been a little quicker at times. It's not a huge complaint by any means, and it definitely would not stop me from going back because they seemed very busy that night. All of the appetizers were phenomenal. The calamari had a nice little kick to it, the caviar deviled eggs were just okay in my opinion, but the cheesesteak eggrolls absolutely stole the show and were probably my favorite thing we ordered. For dinner, I got the filet mignon. It was good, but as far as steaks go, it probably wouldn't make my personal top 10. The lobster mac & cheese, however, was really creamy and flavorful, and I enjoyed that a lot. Our waiter recommended the Father's Day special, which included a Dry-Aged Tomahawk Ribeye, two lobster tails, and two sides: the lobster three-cheese mac and cheese and the lobster garlic mashed potatoes. When the food was first brought to the table, everything appeared acceptable. However, upon closer inspection and after tasting the dishes, it became clear that there were significant quality issues. The lobster three-cheese mac and cheese was extremely dry and appeared overcooked. The lobster garlic mashed potatoes looked and tasted as though they had been sitting for an extended period of time and were noticeably burnt. The Dry-Aged Tomahawk Ribeye was severely overcooked on the outside and excessively salty. Even the butter served with the bread had what seemed to be an unnecessary amount of salt and pepper sprinkled on top, making it unpleasantly salty. The lobster tails were also disappointing. The shells were dry and appeared as though they had been under a heat lamp for too long. While the lobster meat itself was edible, it was the only part of the meal we were able to eat, along with some bread. We chose not to bring these issues to the attention of the restaurant while dining because we prefer to avoid drawing attention to ourselves. That said, we believe these problems should have been identified before the food ever left the kitchen. The restaurant's quality control and expediting process should have caught these issues. What made the experience even more frustrating was seeing other meals being served to nearby tables that looked well-prepared and appetizing. We left our waiter a good tip because we do not believe he was responsible for the condition of the food. He was pleasant and simply recommended the special that the restaurant was promoting. Needless to say, what was intended to be a special Father's Day celebration turned into a very disappointing dining experience. We will not be returning anytime soon. Photos of the meal are available if needed.

Well, I am happy to report that it IS true, that Petit & Keet is an outstanding restaurant. We made it in, in time for their terrific happy hour at the bar. Packed at 5:00 PM on a Tuesday (who woulda thunk that?) we were able to squeeze in and jump in on their goodies. The HH Menu was so appealing we would up just tasting several things; for starters, their signature frozen drink, the Peechy Keet, was absolutely phenomenal (it might also be because it was over 100 degrees outside). Not too sweet, nicely fruity and packing a punch. The Crudites was atypical with a larger assortment of veggies (including some tasty Sheshido peppers) and a really, unique and delish hummus. Next up; the Tuna Tostada. This could actually be my favorite item on the menu; sashimi grade tuna on a larger Tostada, perfectly marinated. Yummy. We topped things off with the Empanadas' that were also delectable; plenty of filling, not overly fried so as to be firm but chewable. I can't believe we wound up being stuffed, and sadly, it prevented us from diving into what looked like some wonderful entrees. Next time! A special note to the management; your bartender (sorry, her name escapes me, but she's in the pic with my wife and me) was as phenomenal as the food & drink (and the decor; sorry I hadn't mentioned that before, but it is a lovely space). She was everything (and more) for what someone behind the bar should be, an expert concotionist, professional, fun (and funny) and on top of everything at a packed bar/restaurant.
