    Seared Salmon

Not worth it. In a pinch Labor Day weekend we were in a pinch trying to find a place. The scallops were ok. The salmon was good. But the bed of mushroom risotto was the star of the plate. The lobster bisque was beef gravy brown. And equally as bad. As it looked. Service was fine. No complaints about the staff.

Absolutely delicious! Great drinks, food and service! The meat was so tender and the deviled eggs were delicious!!

Hotel Bar. 3rd meal here. The food was good, the beer cold and the service prompt and friendly. What's not to like?

If you are staying at the Marriott this is a fine option for dining. I stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks and ate here several times. The food is good but the service was slow on occasions. The dessert is awesome. The lobster Cobb salad is really good.

This restaurant was so packed and only waiter available to do it all. One bar tender too. With that being said let's say the service was as good as it could be considering the circumstances. Wish I caught the waiters name, he was a man if that helps at all. He filled my water consistently and was pleasant, friendly, and attentive. The food was mixed reviews which is the reason for my four stars. Best ever collard greens I have ever tried. Orange soda collard greens! These are sweet with a slight citrus tang flavor and my goodness! I doubt I'll ever find any this good. Definitely 5 stars. Pictures are posted for your viewing pleasure but the pictures can't depict the amazing taste! Club sandwich was a three star. Meat tasted like a very cheap brand and more of a prepackaged meat taste and not a freshly sliced butcher cut meat. Other than that the sandwich was good! The banana swirl cake was so good I ate it two days in a row! I don't think it's made in the Restraunt but definitely the best banana cake I have ever tried. There are caramelized pecans on it! Yummy! 5 stars for sure! Very moist cake and served chilled! Just couldn't understand the meat used in the club sandwich so I have to take off a star for that!

    Lobster bisque

I would not recommend the lobster bisque. Ended up having steak tips, which were good, but still not the best experience ever.

So my husband and I went here tonight and the food looks pretty! I have been here on my birthday for the past two years for alone time and enjoyed it. I took my husband with me for a date this time. This time the food tasted microwaved. I attempted to enjoy the braised beef pappardelle, as I have before, but it was only hot for about ten seconds and tasted like the veg was added in after the fact. The beef was dry and tough. Before, it had always been cooked wonderfully and tender. My husband had the burger and fries with no onion. It came with onion and took over 15 minutes to re make a burger with a kraft single for cheese on it. The first server we had, Laura Y was nice, but the other female who was assisting was somewhat rude. My husband had asked for more water after having his water empty for over 20 minutes. He asked the second server if it had been shift change and maybe he could get some more water. She said no, it was a team effort and Laura would be helping him with that. She had such an attitude too, like we shouldnt be asking. We only asked the second server about the water since it had been so long, and us, having been servers before, assumed it was a simple mistake during shift change. For $37 a braised beef pasta plate, I expected not to have leftovers served to me. Also, my husband got a side of "mushroom risotto". It was mushy minute rice with Parmesan added in after being microwaved. They just chopped up one whole raw mushroom to add in after the fact. Not using Arborio rice at all. This should be a dish made from the heart not microwaved ‍. Sorry. Guess I won't be back. Thankfully, they did take off the pasta from the bill when I sent it back only after a few bites. It should be noted that it was about 6:30 this past Saturday night and there was only one table besides ours. So not busy.

This restaurant is conveniently located within the Marriott hotel and after a long day of travel, it was really nice to have a place like this right where we were staying. The service here was very friendly and quick. The cocktails were okay and the food itself was pretty good, not the best, but definitely good. My wife and I started off with the bacon deviled eggs and these were great. I'm a sucker for deviled eggs and these definitely scratched that itch. My wife followed up with the NY strip steak (rare) and I had the seared scallops. My wife loved her steak. Whenever she asks for rare, it a tossup whether or not it will actually make it rare and kudos to Heritage, they made it perfectly. My scallops were pretty good, a little bland, but they were excellent quality and very tender. We finished off with the banana swirl cake and the molten lava cake. The molten lava cake was super rich with chocolate goodness and the banana swirl cake was incredible, if you're a fruity dessert person. There was an apparent banana taste, but it wasn't overpowering. On top of the flavor it was moist and creamy, allowing the flavors to coat your tongue with its deliciousness! Overall, if you're in the area and staying at this Marriott hotel, this is a solid dinner option. It's a huge to not have to travel for food. I also believe this is the kitchen that prepares the room service orders as well.

Excellent food and service! We ordered from the Prix Fixe menu and the portions were huge! The two of us could have easily fed a family of of six. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. We are frequent travelers and Heritage Grille ranks high on the list when it comes to hotel dining.

    Hummus
    Shauna B.

The hummus with carrots was a great afternoon snack and is on the happy hour bar menu. For the wedge, I was expecting a wedge of iceberg so was caught off guard with the butter lettuce. The topping were good but would have expected the dressing to be thicker with more blue cheese favored crumbles. The pork belly was a little tough but did have good flavor. The sauce was a bit too much which took away from the flavor of the meat. The service was excellent but wish the foot was better.

This was a lovely experience, and I'll start with the two reasons this place doesn't get a 5-star…read morereview. When I made the reservation for 3 I specifically asked that we "not be seated next to a kitchen or bathroom," and we were seated right next to both. There was an endless stream of people/bodies throughout the entire meal, and it was disappointing to make a simple request that could not be filled. Secondly, I ordered the Chilean sea bass and was underwhelmed by the dish. The fish felt slightly overcooked, so I only ate a bite and focused on my sides. Those two things aside, this was actually a nice experience. Our server, Haita (an attractive young man from Morocco with piercing blue eyes and a delightful accent) made up for the seating disappointment with excellent service. He was attentive, brought and presented food in a timely manner, and was knowledgeable about the menu. Speaking of the menu...we'd gone here specifically for lamb chops because someone in my party had been craving them. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and lamb chops were not on the curated, Valentine's menu (we dined on the 15th). We considered leaving to find lamb chops elsewhere, but we ultimately stayed and the person in my party ordered a ribeye instead. GREAT choice. It was a beautiful cut of meat, cooked to medium-well perfection, and perfectly spiced. There's always a chance that when a place doesn't put salt/pepper on the table that they've wildly overestimated their abilities to cater to the general palate. Not so here. It was a treat to discover that everything that came to the table was perfectly spiced. The ribeye had a perfect char on it, the juices were succulent, and the meat was fantastically tender. According to one of my guests, it was "divine." She also used the same word to describe the shrimp and lobster bisque, but I disagreed. In all honesty, the best thing about this dish was the presentation (I made a little video, so you'll see what I mean!). This just felt like a regular lobster bisque with a piece of shrimp tossed in (on a crostini) to "fancy it up." I wasn't too impressed, but the other at the table seemed to enjoy it. The decor is lovely: old-world steakhouse vibes with dark wood paneling, bold artwork on the walls that speaks to the state's leisure culture, and a beautiful bar area. The decor alone can rival that of any steakhouse in a major metropolitan city on the East or West coast. From the truncated menu we ordered the ribeye, the Chilean sea bass (with green beans), mashed potatoes, asparagus, and copious drinks. Make sure you order your asparagus grilled, you won't be disappointed. Perfect seasoning and perfect texture, truly. The lemon drop cocktail is a winner for anyone who likes a sweet beverage. I've never known Maker's Mark to disappoint, and you can't mess up a Gin & Tonic. But throw in some fancy beveled glasses, and heavy encrusted tumblers, and you've got yourself a drinking experience. I love visiting the bathrooms in places like this to see if the overall aesthetic tracks to all of the guest spaces, and unfortunately here it did not. It's just an okay bathroom that feels like a bit of an afterthought, but I get it. It's a bathroom. I just couldn't help but expect someone close to grand (grand-ish) given what the front of the house looked like. One thing I did see which I cannot end my review without mentioning is the attention to detail the servers placed on the small things. It did not take more than 2 minutes for a dirty table to be cleaned and completely re-set. The bussers move quickly! The waitstaff moves with purpose and incorporates the tiny details into their regular routine. Thanks to the unglamorous seating nearly the kitchen/bathroom I had a chance to see how the waitstaff handled plates/cutlery/etc. The wine glass cabinet was to our right, and I was impressed to see EACH AND EVERY SERVER who pulled a glass take the time to hold the glass up to the light to check for smudges before using them with the guest. Glasses that weren't clean weren't just wiped and used, they were put away with the dirty dishes and staff pulled another glass. It was impressive to see this was clearly a part of their training to which the waitstaff adhered. Finally. There's serious sticker shock with this place, but that's going to happen if you go to a decent steakhouse. This was better than decent, my friends. If I had it all to do over again, I'd get a steak from a steakhouse and stop trying to chase the Nobu-inspired Chilean sea bass high I got hooked on a few years back in Vegas. I was in a kingdom of red meat and got the fish. Girl, bye.

Got there a little early and our table was ready. Since it was a fixed menu, we only had a few options to choose from. First course I chose duck and pancetta, meatball, and my wife chose the Ahi Crudo. Ahi Crudo - flavors were good, just wish they would have gone with a sashimi cut over the thicker cut of tuna. It had a little chew to it. Duck and Pancetta meatball- probably the best seasoned bite of the evening, almost to the point of being too salty. The meatball was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. Second course I chose the lobster bisque, and my wife chose the strawberry and beet salad. Lobster bisque - lobster meat was very tender, and you could taste the good salty water that they boiled it in. The base of the bisque was lacking a depth of flavor. I expected it to be more pronounced lobster flavor in the biscuit itself. It was good. It was just a different flavor than I was expecting. Strawberry / Beet salad - the salad was very good. I liked the cheese that they put on the salad. Luckily I was able to steal a few bites from my wife. Main course I ordered the New York strip, and my wife ordered the lobster risotto. New York Strip - when the steak hit the table, I was very excited. As you can see from the photos, it was cooked perfectly. From the first bite, I could tell the steak was tender, but there was zero flavor. I don't know if the steak was not seasoned at all, or if they were just playing on the drizzle over the top of the mushrooms in the steak to add flavor. But the overall plate was bland and flavor. I had to add table salt, which I almost never do. Lobster risotto- lobster risotto looked amazing. My first bite of risotto that I was able to steal was pretty bland. I tried another bite before my wife finished the entire plate! The second bite was much better had a lot of of the pepper flavor in the risotto. My wife said the lobster was tender and delicious. Dessert! I chose the Tres Leches and my wife chose the chocolate pot de creme. Tres Leches - this cake was probably the overall favorite thing of the evening. You could taste the vanilla and the cream. It was a match made in heaven. The frozen strawberries on top provided a good texture contrast. Chocolate pot de creme- this was an amazing dessert also. The depth of flavor in the chocolate cream was truly remarkable. You could taste the different chocolate. Rich and decadent for the last bite. We chose to add the wine pairing on with the mail. All the ones were pretty good. Nothing earth shattering, but all paired well with the meal. Service felt a little rushed, and I understand that valentines is a big day for the restaurant. We would not be halfway through a glass of wine when the next glass of wine for the next course would show up. It almost felt like our server was trying to push the pace of our dining experience. This review will ultimately get updated. Because I never judge a restaurant based on one experience. So we look forward to our next date night, where we can stop by and try the standard menu.
