This is probably the best on site resturant in a hotel I've dined in a long time. The interior is just as impressive. I was staying in the downtown Marriott in Little Rock for a conference and decided to get a few bites with a friend. We chose fried green tomatoes, steak bites, the beet salad and the salmon with risotto. Fried green tomatoes: 7/10 different approach here, they use pickled green tomatoes which adds acidity in a way that's unexpected but beet good. The roumalade is noted as coffee infused but I know it had horseradish instead. Good, but TOO much kick. Especially with the pickled version of the tomatoes. Steak bites: 1/10 we were leery about ordering these vs a whole steak because these get overcooked more often than not. I asked the waitress and she said they were good so we gave them a shot and they came out as little chunks of salty rubber. So disappointing. Beet salad: 8/10 this was so very nicely done. The beets are not canned and have way more bite to them than you think, the pecans in the salad are so good- the only things I would adjust are the greens to topping ratio- I think more greens were needed and just a touch more dressing. But this was a GOOD salad. Salmon w/risotto: Salmon 9/10 risotto 0/10 I had to rate these separately because the Salmon did not deserve the stray from the horribly executed risotto. Gordon Ramsey would have thrown the plate against the wall. The Salmon, however, deserved an Oscar, Tony, and Pulitzer. The sear and seasoning were angelical. Magnificent! Now to close..... I had a theory, so I asked the waitress- is the guy on steak bites also on the risotto station? Her eyes widened as she confirmed my suspicion. How did you know? She asked. I can taste his DISDAIN in these dishes I said- someone turned down PTO or a raise for that man and he's taking it out on US. They were very accommodating with our orders and very friendly we only hope that all other bar tenders in Little Rock can take an example from these ladies. This restaurant was so packed and only waiter available to do it all. One bar tender too. With that being said let's say the service was as good as it could be considering the circumstances. Wish I caught the waiters name, he was a man if that helps at all. He filled my water consistently and was pleasant, friendly, and attentive. The food was mixed reviews which is the reason for my four stars. Best ever collard greens I have ever tried. Orange soda collard greens! These are sweet with a slight citrus tang flavor and my goodness! I doubt I'll ever find any this good. Definitely 5 stars. Pictures are posted for your viewing pleasure but the pictures can't depict the amazing taste! Club sandwich was a three star. Meat tasted like a very cheap brand and more of a prepackaged meat taste and not a freshly sliced butcher cut meat. Other than that the sandwich was good! The banana swirl cake was so good I ate it two days in a row! I don't think it's made in the Restraunt but definitely the best banana cake I have ever tried. There are caramelized pecans on it! So my husband and I went here tonight and the food looks pretty! I have been here on my birthday for the past two years for alone time and enjoyed it. I took my husband with me for a date this time. This time the food tasted microwaved. I attempted to enjoy the braised beef pappardelle, as I have before, but it was only hot for about ten seconds and tasted like the veg was added in after the fact. The beef was dry and tough. Before, it had always been cooked wonderfully and tender. My husband had the burger and fries with no onion. It came with onion and took over 15 minutes to re make a burger with a kraft single for cheese on it. The first server we had, Laura Y was nice, but the other female who was assisting was somewhat rude. My husband had asked for more water after having his water empty for over 20 minutes. He asked the second server if it had been shift change and maybe he could get some more water. She said no, it was a team effort and Laura would be helping him with that. She had such an attitude too, like we shouldnt be asking. We only asked the second server about the water since it had been so long, and us, having been servers before, assumed it was a simple mistake during shift change. For $37 a braised beef pasta plate, I expected not to have leftovers served to me. Also, my husband got a side of "mushroom risotto". It was mushy minute rice with Parmesan added in after being microwaved. They just chopped up one whole raw mushroom to add in after the fact. Not using Arborio rice at all. This should be a dish made from the heart not microwaved ‍. Sorry. Guess I won't be back. Thankfully, they did take off the pasta from the bill when I sent it back only after a few bites. It should be noted that it was about 6:30 this past Saturday night and there was only one table besides ours. So not busy. read more

This restaurant is conveniently located within the Marriott hotel and after a long day of travel, it was really nice to have a place like this right where we were staying. The service here was very friendly and quick. The cocktails were okay and the food itself was pretty good, not the best, but definitely good. My wife and I started off with the bacon deviled eggs and these were great. I'm a sucker for deviled eggs and these definitely scratched that itch. My wife followed up with the NY strip steak (rare) and I had the seared scallops. My wife loved her steak. Whenever she asks for rare, it a tossup whether or not it will actually make it rare and kudos to Heritage, they made it perfectly. My scallops were pretty good, a little bland, but they were excellent quality and very tender. We finished off with the banana swirl cake and the molten lava cake. The molten lava cake was super rich with chocolate goodness and the banana swirl cake was incredible, if you're a fruity dessert person. There was an apparent banana taste, but it wasn't overpowering. On top of the flavor it was moist and creamy, allowing the flavors to coat your tongue with its deliciousness! Overall, if you're in the area and staying at this Marriott hotel, this is a solid dinner option. It's a huge to not have to travel for food. I also believe this is the kitchen that prepares the room service orders as well. read more

We ate here 6/1/2025. We should have checked out the breakfast buffet but we did not. We opted to order from the menu. My omelette came out with sliced cheese on top- not mixed within the omelette. The potatoes were cooked in stale oil- tasted horrible. My "toast" was barely toasted. The coffee was extremely weak- basically colored water. Our server was nice BUT the female manager on duty was extremely rude. I asked her for change (we like to give cash tips) and she said curtly "I'll be with you in a minute" and continued clearing tables (they were not busy at the time). She ended up clearing 3 tables before our server noticed me and apologized that I had to wait for change. Don't waste your time or money eating here. I stayed at the Marriott for a three day conference and came here a lot. They have a breakfast buffet that starts at 0600 every day. It's $14 and includes a drink. Their orange juice is fresh and their buffet has a lot of good options. Their lunch has a rather small menu, but their crab and corn chowder soup is very good. I also had their strawberry shortcake dessert, which comes in a glass jar, and is excellent. For dinner one night I had their calamari and their Caesar salad. Both again were excellent. I really haven't had anything that was bad here. Prices are actually pretty reasonable considering the location, with the exception of a $3 can of Sierra Mist. Service is decent. read more

The hummus with carrots was a great afternoon snack and is on the happy hour bar menu. For the wedge, I was expecting a wedge of iceberg so was caught off guard with the butter lettuce. The topping were good but would have expected the dressing to be thicker with more blue cheese favored crumbles. The pork belly was a little tough but did have good flavor. I went to Heritage for my best friend's mother birthday. We had a large group. We started at the bar where we had drinks. I got an Old Fashioned. You can never go wrong. The bartender was a very liberal pourer, which is always a good thing. We made reservations. Super easy. We moved from the bar to our table, party of 9. I love the south! Even if your meal isn't a "southern" meal you can bet your bottom dollar it'll have that southern flavor. Nice ambiance. Pretty quiet. I started with calamari and a glass of champagne. The calamari wasn't my favorite. For dinner I got salmon, broccoli, and quinoa-- delicious! Flavor was in EVERY bite. I usually get dessert but I was stuffed. I'll give this hotel restaurant a 4 star because I love the idea of food "flights"! I've of course seen it many times with beer, but never with entres. The menu offers several entre flights... where you can receive several premium entres each served on a small dish as one meal. For dinner tonight, I had the steak and fin flight... which consisted of a small plate each of filet, potatoes and asparagus with a homemade potato chip; a sauteed scallop atop a tomato based cream sauce; and sea bass with a delicious cheese risotto and sauteed spinach. All three dishes were good and served in just the right quantity to leave me satisfied but not stuffed. I love the idea if being able to try small portions of several premium entres... the "flight" idea is fantastic. The only negative was the price... I'm not sure I received $41 worth of food... but that's to be expected in a hotel restaurant. They're always overpriced. BOTTOM LINE: Get one of the flights... enjoy several premium entres! read more

Wow....all I can say is "Wow"! I work in the area and saw on their Facebook page that they do a lunch buffet during the week. The day I went was "Southern Day". They had some of the best southern comfort food that I've had in a long time. Spicy pulled pork was out of this world fall apart delicious. The beef tips were cooked to perfection and the grilled chicken was delightful. They had 2 sides of green beans and mac & cheese that made me go back for thirds! They have a small section for salad and cold plates as well as some mini deserts. I had cheesecake topped with chocolate mousse whip & blueberries. Yum Yum! For $10.95 I thought it was an amazing deal for the high end food that you get! I'll definitely be back to try the other days menus! read more

We were staying at a less impressive hotel near the Marriot and happened to stop in this place and thought the menu looked amazing so we ordered a full 3 course meal. App, salad and entree. First they tried to serve the entire meal at the same time. When we complained they offered to take back the entrees but admitted they were just going to put it under a heat lamp until we ate our salads. After much debate they claimed they would re-fire the entrees. So we decided to power through and accepted our salads and appetizers. Until my wife found a 18 inch grey hair in her Cesar salad. It was so gross it was stuck to the lettuce and dressing and looked like a braid of rope with trash attached. Thats when we decided to leave. The bartender was a really nice and professional lady but the kitchen manager obviously doesn't care and has zero standards. What was the icing on the cake was the manager knew of the issues but never even came out to address. He hid and pretended he didn't see us. Btw- the people next to us had cold chowder which they took back and nuked in a microwave and calamari that was so tough they couldn't eat but they stayed and paid. She looked to the other side of the booth and as me to be seated on that side. Never did she attempt to wipe the previous guest crumbs off the seat as it seats before me. I got an omelet, first of all (seems to be a new and more frequent thing) the hotel will not let you order food TO PICK UP from your room. So if you want it for your room you have to do room service OR come down to order. So I did that. It took about 30 mins for me to get the omelet. I get to my room and it was not what I wanted. It was eggs and onions and I hate onions. So I returned back downstairs and he let me switch it out for a burger (since breakfast was now over) But I'm not pleased with the burger either. I'm not very picky. I usually will eat it even if I'm not crazy about it. But even the burger is gross. It has hard pieces of fat. I can't even chew. $30 later (I tipped him for switching it out and being so kind) I still am not full nor happy. Lol. On March 18 2018, I was supposed to host my mother's birthday brunch at the Heritage Grill around 11am. After few attempts of making phone calls for reservation that had never been answered days before the event I was finally confirmed by the open table apps for my reservation. I've decided to go with Heritage Grill as the chosen place because of its reviews that I found on Yelp and the Heritage Grill website itself. With $19/person and unlimited salty and sweet table, I thought this would be a great place for my Mother's birthday brunch as this would be my first time for me and our family and friends too. I came to Heritage Grill right at 10:45am with some flowers hoping that I could do a quick table set up for my mother and my guests. When I checked with the host, they said there were no reservation for 11 people for that day. I was quite surprised but that was an easy fix, not a problem I thought. They could set up the table right away. As I was waiting, 2 of my guest came. Then one of the server came to me and ask me if I made the reservation for the brunch from the website. I said yes. She said that the brunch menu that was on the website was no longer available what they had was just a regular brunch buffet. This, left me speechless. What should I tell my guests, where else should we go in a very last minute decision. I still thought maybe the regular buffet wasn't that bad. Then I went around to see what they have for the buffet. It was bad. It was bad not for the price but for the brunch quality for a hotel like Mariott. Ihop might be better compare to this. Long story short, there's no way I would have held my mother's birthday with a food and service like this. It was a total embarrassment for me and my family. We finally left Mariott. I had to call every single guest for apologizing and let them know about what happened. This shouldn't have come from a hotel like Mariott. One of the worst steak places I ever ate in! Went here with a group. Asked our server what was on draft, and she went through 4 beers. I asked her if they had an IPA, and she said that was only in a bottle. Ok, I will take a bottle. Some others in our party arrived and we had another server assisting. One of the people in our party asked what was on draft, and one of the selections he mentioned was an IPA. I asked him if they had that on draft, explaining what just happened with me. He said he would cancel my bottle and get a draft. Now for the steak....YUCK. I ordered the 10 oz filet, medium rare. After about 45 minutes of waiting, the food came out. Everything additional is ala carte. I also got a potato and a bowl of caramelized onion soup. The soup was good. The steak was almost well done. When the server came back, I showed him. He apologized and said he would get me another steak. After 15 minutes he came back with my new filet. I cut into it and it was rare....I mean cold in the center rare. Ok, I can deal with it. I don't mind a rare steak. However, there was so much salt on it that it wasn't edible. I tried scraping the "seasoning" off with my knife to just have the steak remaining. No luck. He came back and asked if this one was better. I handed him the plate and told him that the steak was cold and I honestly could not eat it. I still ended up having a $40 bill for a couple beers, a potato and a bowl of soup. Will never return. read more
