My go to spot for artichoke pizza, a must try. It tastes like cheddar broccoli soup, so if you're a big fan of that flavor, you'll love this. It's a bit different from other pizzerias, with a thicker crust that isn't too heavy. It can get a little salty, so you'll probably want a soda with it. Great location for a quick grab and go.

Artichoke Basille's Pizza has some really delicious pizza. I had the margherita pizza, and it was so flavorful and fresh. I also tried the artichoke pizza, which was so good and creamy. I honestly didn't think I would like the artichoke pizza at first, but it ended up being really delicious and my favorite. This place is very popular and gets packed, even around 1 PM. The good thing is you can either sit inside or order it to go.

This was highly recommended as something totally different than the classic pizza. I have to say artichoke pizza is pretty damm good. This pizza is so rich in flavor, the cheese is super tasty, and the Alfredo sauce gushes out in every bite. Each slide is huge, and being so rich, it's very filling.

Came here after a late night out. Sadly they didn't have the crab slice which is my favorite but I took it as an opportunity to try the famous artichoke slice. It was delicious however incredibly rich and creamy so I couldn't finish it. I found the crust to be on the thicker and doughier side. My friend thought the pepperoni was alright. Service was quick, the restaurant was relatively small with a few counters and barstools.

Artichoke offers a slightly pricey, heavy sized pizza offering in the NYC food scene. I came here because my friend recommended it, and I was not disappointed. Ambiance is your typical clustered, old school pizzeria - just how I like it. Service was quick. Their pizza slices are massive and satisfying, though I found them a touch salty - a subjective point, of course. The pepperoni slice was a highlight; the sauce has a mild, well-balanced tomato flavor that doesn't overpower the toppings. However, their Artichoke white slice is the star for a good reason. If you're into artichokes, you must try their offering. While I'm not sure it's the absolute #1 pizza joint in town, Artichokes is certainly a top contender.

That Artichoke Slice really is something special. First of all it's MASSIVE. Its thick too like they load so much on it, its so creamy and delicious I can't get enough of it I was so happy while eating it. I took it to go to eat in washington square park and it was so nice out. The crust was crispy and I loved this slice so much. On the other hand, the Staten Island Slice was as good as the actual place: not very good! It kinda felt like eating spoonfuls of tomatoes like it really just overpowered all the meat, onions, and cheese. I'm just gonna pretend I didn't order that and that I only had the artichoke slice

This was a tricky one, but I am basing my review solely on the Artichoke Slice, which given the name and reputation, should have been the only thing I ordered. The artichoke slice was like nothing I've ever had before - it was massive but somehow had absolutely no flop, which is astounding given its size and the heft of the toppings. It had a wonderful creaminess and a delicious flaky crust. I also ordered a Sicilian slice from a new pie, but after one bite of what tasted like soggy frozen pizza that had been sitting out for three weeks - which I couldn't even lift off the plate - that slice went right in the trash and wins the title of the worst slice I've ever tried to eat. So stick to the artichoke, but definitely go and have it because it is incredible!

Best pizza in the whole world! I've had several pizzas across the globe and the artichoke pizza is my number 1. There are a few around NYC and there's not a lot of seating so be prepared to take it to go if anything. The ooey gooey sauce and flavor will melt on your mouth. It's so good I always have to bring a slice back to cali. The slices are gigantic so one slice is enough for me or even to share if you're not too hungry. A few other options they provide but hands down artichoke pizza is the leading contender.

Went from my favorite pizza spot to one that just disappoints. Came in the other day to get a slice to eat in the park around three, it wasn't busy there was nobody else waiting online so just ordering a slice to go. My slice was packed in the box and by the time I took the three block walk to the park, sat down and bit into my pizza it was already ice cold. What's the point of me getting a hot slice if you're not even going to actually heat it up. And let me tell you this is not a slice, all the cheese and toppings are unpleasant when cold so this is completely disappointing.

Another popular pizza spot, this place became famous for their signature Artichoke Slice. A pizza topped with their house made creamy white sauce topped with cheese and artichoke. The crust was definitely thick to help support the amount of sauce they add on. This was very good, but extremely rich and heavy. It's hard to finish a whole slice since each one is massive and super heavy. I would definitely get it to share and try the vodka slice which was similarly very thick, but was not as rich as the Artichoke slice. Definitely come hungry and ready when eating here. Visited here for my first New York slice after rave reviews. It was empty for a Monday midday stop. I opted for the spinach and artichoke pizza and a pepperoni slice. The artichoke pizza was good but a little bit salty which was a bummer due to not being able to eat more than a few bites at a time. The pepperoni pizza had good flavor was a bit greasy. Overall I enjoyed the density and flavor profile of the slices and they were HUGE (I basically had 4 Texas slices in my two NY slices lol). They placed my slices in the oven once I ordered so they were hot and delicious.

$8 felt wild to pay for just a pizza slice, but once I started eating the slice, it felt like the slice was large enough for two people. The first few bites of the Artichoke slice were hot, crispy, and creamy. The service was quick on a weekday evening when there wasn't a line. Without other customers dining in, it was also quiet and peaceful.

This was pretty good NYC pizza! The crust was exactly what I expected--crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. The sauce was some of the best pizza sauce I've tasted (great flavor!), but there was a little too much. I also liked the seasoning in the meatballs but the meatballs overall didn't add much to the pizza, I probably would've been fine with just pepperoni. There was a short line when we went, even at 1:30am; it was a little slower than expected but not too bad of a wait.

The bottom piece was smeared all over the top piece - nice job

It was oddly a Sunday and we were actually walking a few blocks to meet others for dinner, but I came across this place and couldn't help but stop for a slice...as a snack! And I'm glad I did! it restored my faith in NY pizza, reminded me that NY pizza could never taste like any normal NY pizza even if they said it was NY pizza, but this was definitely NY PIZZA! We got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Margherita and it just melted in my mouth. The flavors, the perfection of the thin crust, the seasoning -- I wish I lived much closer! We also got garlic knots which were awesome also! I enjoyed the sitting at the counter experience and having an ice cold coke with my slice. It was the best snack before my next dinner meal and I cannot complain at all! This is definitely one of my favorite pizza places in NY!

Pizza is ready in 15 minutes, which in my case was less time for me to walk from hotel and pick it up. This location had two storefronts- one for pizza by the slice and the other for the full pie. Full pie line is shorter though still formidable. Line by the slice stretches around the corner. Pizza itself is all right. Toppings are pretty average and crust is chewy as it should be. Little bit too hard on my opinion. As a tourist - it was a must try. However - I wouldn't do it again.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character.
