Gregory, our onsite lead, was responsive, well organized, and his four-person crew worked very hard. My advice to anyone moving is to be realistic about how much stuff you have. I got three quotes. One company estimated one-and-a-half 27-foot trucks, while Royal and another company estimated one 27-foot truck. My move-out apartment was 895 sq ft with a large patio. Before moving day, I made two 10-foot Home Depot truck trips myself with the delicate and bulky items: my electric bike, Peloton, and other things that don't stack well. Royal filled a 27-foot truck with everything else, efficiently using all the available space. We did go a little over the estimate because of rush-hour traffic. The only part I didn't enjoy was the payment app prompting for a tip at checkout. After a long moving day, that was one unnecessary stress point because I never know what's considered an appropriate tip for professional movers. Fortunately, I had already planned ahead with cash tips and cold Gatorades for the crew throughout the day. I highly recommend Royal Movers. They made a difficult move much easier. I also gained a whole new respect for my son, his friend, and my old girlfriend, who helped me move the last time. I had an amazing time and move with Nick (Nurlan), Akmal, and Yrys ! They are such hard workers ! And my TV , furniture , dresser EVERYTHIng was INTACT ! Not 1 scratch. Everything perfect. They work very well together and I enjoyed their energy. There was a little hiccup with starting time so have some flexibility with start time because they will work really hard and I asked For a late afternoon move so I waited until they were done with their first move . Even though I was their second move of the day they still worked until the very last minute and until I had all my items and furniture in place. Adam was very quick to respond to my yelp request. They had excellent reviews and prices so I moved forward with selecting this company for our 10 mile move across town. Sergey and 2 other men called before their arrival and were on time. I admitted that I may have a second trip as I had a storage unit of work equipment. Sergey didn't want to have to take a second trip (as he didn't want me to have to spend more money) but in the end, I had too much stuff. The crew worked diligently and even packed and unpacked my closets for me. They wouldn't even stop for a lunch break. I had to encourage them to at least take a water and bathroom break. Very much satisfied customers here! Alex and Dan definitely did an excellent job. They were fast but careful with moving. They are systematized and know exactly what they're doing. They bagged and boxed our things properly, put cling wraps and blankets around fragile items. No damages and dirt on any of our things! Moreover, these guys were very nice and polite, didn't complain or demand anything throughout their 7 hours work! Pee and food breaks were as short as they could be so they could be as efficient. Another thing we appreciate with this company is accommodating a late afternoon schedule which other moving companies couldn't do. Perfect moving service. We had to move about 12 big pieces of furniture from a 2 bedroom apartment into a single family home and we got 2 movers and a truck. They did everything from pack all the furniture in scratch proof material to unpack it without scratching anything in the destination house. The reason I am giving them five now is because I just used a different local moving company to pack my apartment and load a truck I rented, and I was highly dissatisfied with the service. I won't name this business, but the work did not reflect the cost and I wouldn't recommend that business to anyone. Comparing it to my experience with Stear, I knew I had to sit down and write the review. In July of 2021 I hired two workers to pack my 1 bedroom apartment, load their own truck, unload the truck at my new apartment, AND they drove the truck over to the nearby Goodwill so I could drop off four pieces of large furniture that I was donating for no extra charge. It took a total of 6 hours (my new apartment was only a few streets from my old one), and cost $800 pre-tip. One of the guys definitely worked his ass off the entire time, but I saw the other guy on his phone many times and slowly packing items. My roommate said she saw him chilling downstairs over to the side, and when he saw her he pretended to be working. That was the reason I was going to knock them down a star. But again, comparing the amount of work they got done in the time they did, and at the price they did it, to that of the company I just used, I am locking in at five stars. On top of that, all items were wrapped well enough that nothing was broken in the move, nor was I worried about it. They also knew obvious things like "wrap glass in wrapping paper before packing" and "don't pack living plants in boxes". That is in stark contrast to my recent experience. Here's a breakdown so you can get an idea of the competition: Stear (2021): -hired to pack 1 bedroom apartment and move items to new apartment (0.3 miles away) -I had more items in this move -they drove to a second location so I could drop off some furniture to be donated -all boxes and wrapping materials included in rate -2 men -I hardly did any work -$800 total -6 hours total Company #2 (2022): -hired to pack 1 bedroom apartment and load truck I rented -I didn't have items to donate and I had less items in this move -my dad and I were helping by packing and organizing the entire time -charged per box, wrapping materials "included" but they didn't have wrapping paper for fragile items (they used mine from my last move) -3 men (plus my dad and me) -they only had to pack and load a truck, didn't have to drive it anywhere -$700 total (was going to give me a "discount" at $760, I was like no) -4 hours 50 minutes total

I also spoke directly with CSI and was told the claim was closed at your company's direction--not due to any lack of response from me. The floor damage was hidden by boxes your movers placed throughout the area. Once the boxes were removed, the scratches were visible and I notified you within two days. That is reasonable notice. The $0.60/lb valuation is irrelevant here. This is not about damaged household goods--it's about property damage caused by your employees. Scratching new granite flooring with dollies is negligence, and that liability rests with your company, not the customer. Very disappointing handling of a clear issue.

I must say that Mandakh made this nightmare of moving from one side of town to another, a much more pleasant one. I appreciate when service providers are polite and professional. That is exactly what Mansakh is. They were efficient, and made sure to shrink wrap items that tend to break. I had to reduce the number of movers since we had moved most of our stuff ourselves, and they seemed to be offended by it. Considering I was charged hourly, I would've really appreciated if they would have done the job quicker. They didn't damage my items, which was good

There is a charge if you end up having a second location to move things - all that was reasonable for us. I reserved online about one week ahead and theres the $50 deposit during reservation. Two guys showed up and came with their own dollies and tools in a big movers truck. Their moving services included: Plastic wraps, blankets/moving pads, and boxes for packing. There was constant good communication and they worked hard with wrapping furniture, packing loose items into their box, loading/unloading, and moving heavy big furniture up/down stairs. We were able to pack/unpack, load/unload and also stop by a second property all in less than 4 hours. They move fast and I really appreciate that they use their time well and move efficiently. I highly recommend LA Movings and will use them again if I need to move in the future.
