Hunan Chicken and Shrimp Egg roll
    Scott H.

I visited Asian Garden for the first time a few days ago. As with all shopping center Chinese places, I ordered the Hunan Chicken with steamed rice and a shrimp egg roll. The food was ready when I got there and they keep your order in an insulated bad behind the counter to keep it warm. That's a very nice touch That I've never seen before. From checking in on Yelp, I also got a free fountain drink as well. The Hunan chicken was cooked very nicely and with an appropriate amount of heat. The vegetable medley was crisp, but not mushy. The egg roll was flaky on the outside with juicy cabbage and some shrimp. Also very flavorful. Outside there is a nice shaded patio area to boot. I had a very good experience and will be back when in the area.

Order: Shrimp Toast + Shrimp Lo Mein LO MEIN: The shrimp lo mein was very tasty and made with love. Perfect amount of seasoning; I really loved the scallions / green onions, and amount of shrimp. Nice slices of carots. I finish it all! Though I thought there would be more lol. SHRIMP TOAST: I was unable to eat the shrimp toast. It's mainly onion inside; which left this disgusting taste in my mouth from the first bite. This WAS my first time trying shrimp toast; which I did not expect finely grained onion. Each bite of the toast felt like I was eating an entire onion. They are cooked to be edible; I was munching on them the entire time. .. I had to spit it out. I'm not sure if I'll be back.

Nice, small, Asian restaurant near the Tanger Outlets area. Has a wide mix of Asian cuisines, from sushi and hibachi, to pad Thai. I opted for the chicken hibachi lunch meal which was a great deal for the price. Good portion sizes, and the lunch portions also come with salad or soup! The food came out very quickly and it was pretty good! Nothing to complain about, but nothing outstanding. A decent pick if you're looking for asian food in the area.

This is your typical Chinese/American type place. Cheap lunch menu. Food average but hot at least. Feels a bit cleaner than most of these places. Weird thing is the 2 people working here must be husband and wife, and the absolutely hate each other, they were screaming at each other the whole time, which was entertaining due to the big window which allows you to see what's going on in the kitchen! Hopefully they seek some marriage counseling, lol!

Today, we had delivery ordered: Combination plates - which included rice and an egg roll or spring roll. 1. Curry Chicken 4/5 - tender chicken, a lot of flavor! A little on the spicy side, but the flavor profile is good for a Chinese restaurant. They had veggies in there, that I could leave out. Ask for only onions and the chicken in the sauce (if anything). 2. Chicken lo mein 3/5 - the chicken again was very tender. They give ALOT for your money. Wasn't overly flavorful - kinda of your basic lo mein add chicken. It wasn't oily - that's a plus as well.

Very good, mom and I both had a fantastic dinner. Szechuan beef had a nice zing and the chicken and vegetables had good chicken and a lot of veggies as well. We will be back

Ordered pad Thai and veggie pad see ew. Both were probably the worst Thai dishes I've ever tasted. Pad Thai was drenched in oil and teriyaki sauce, THATS IT for the sauces. Making it very sweet and none edible. The pad see ew was very dry and had no flavor outside of some sweet sauce but still very dry. No egg either but some bean sprouts which don't even go with pad see ew. I did order some white hibachi sauce for a dollar and it was so runny and flavorless... the only good thing was the fires because they were fresh but those had no flavor either. Overall, they'll never have to worry about my money coming through there again. Hate that there are NO GOOD thai options that deliver downtown.

    Spicy Basil Chicken Lunch

Counter-service spot that's serving up tasty Asian food for a very reasonable price. Stopped in for lunch, ordered at the counter. Sat at a booth and watched the Chef wok out some good-looking eats. Really enjoyed my Spicy Basil Chicken lunch loaded with peppers and onions, served with a decent fried rice. Liked the bottled Ginger Water drink option. Disliked the super thin plastic fork and that no knives were available. Next time I would probably do take-out and use my own utensils. Generous portion with the bottled drink was under nine bucks (before tip) for lunch. Nice variety on the menu. Plenty of parking as they are in a strip mall in Cary. Would definitely go back if in the area.

One of my favourite Chinese take out places .. we always order wonton soup, kungpao or Hunan chicken and egg rolls (I always tend to crave the same items) (the egg roll is not as crispy as I would like it) overall friendly staff and good food

Have takeout pretty often from here. The entrees are reasonably priced and good in flavor. Food is on the oilier side though.

She asked where we would feel most comfortable sitting! The restaurant is situated in an adorable little house! There were a few small rooms indoors and two diff outdoor areas! We chose to try indoors to begin with! I had already called in advance cause I have a pretty severe allergy I needed to make sure they could change things and accommodate for! They were more than happy to be able to do so as everything is made per order! My aunt knows I love a good sangria and wherever we go she always inquires immediately if they have it! They didn't BUT Zoe came right back over, asked how I like my sangria and with what type of wine and said they could make me one! Shortly thereafter we had met Han, the manager, what a delightful and respectable manager who knows how to handle any and all situations! We had now decided we would like to sit outside even tho it was very hot out! She said let me get your things and she then said how about this little private room indoors as she wanted us most comfortable! Even tho my puppy is a service animal the only other couple in that room made a stink immediately and I said let's just go sit outside under the fans and on the deck! Han brought everything out asked about drinks as I had decided to cancel mine but on second thought decided I'd have one! She asked if I like it on the sweeter side etc! Not only was it delicious but the waitress upon bringing it over let me know immediately it was on the house! The food wasn't rushed but came in a very nice and timely manner and with beautiful presentations and the taste of everthing from our appetizers to our mains was of the highest quality! Zoe, Han and even the person who poured our water were the nicest as was the other couple sitting on the patio with us! Overall I'd give MCAsian Cuisine a five star rating and can't wait to return on my next trip to see my Aunt and I know she can't wait to return even before then! Thank you Han, Zoe and everyone at MCAsian! You have set the bar high!

I have always loved the location I almost purchased this place when it was a home 30 years ago so I have a soft spot for it & now that it's across the street from the lovely cary park it's extra special. They have made great use of the wide porch with my favorite authentic French bistro chairs for outdoor dining or indoors there is a good use of space & atmosphere. This is a family owned dining experience where the husband is the chef, nephew is a waiter & wife at the hostess desk getting to know old & new customers. I hope I can become a regular! The food was superb!! The tempura asparagus was so light & crispy with a tasty sauce. Flambé manchego cheese (who doesn't love a table side fire show;) the tenderloin beef dish was so tender & I enjoyed learning the Vietnamese use the lime juice with salt to use as a sauce. The truffle fries were light & airy. I LOVE fried food did but very few chefs seem to use a good oil & have a light touch with it anymore! The baguette was good. We had the coconut cake & banana Foster's pudding with the very tasty whiskey sauce really filled us up. The ambience is friendly & upscale in a comfortable fashion. I enjoyed interacting with Van & tired a new lemonichello drink that was very much to my liking. There is a wide selection of sake both filtered & unfiltered & an extensive wine selection as well. Also, scotch & port are well represented. I love a full spectrum bar! Van allowed me to try an additional starch Vietnamese potatoes. We will definitely return!! Make this a priority if you're interested in making your meal an extra special treat!

It's tough out here being a vegetarian who loves authentic ramen haha, but this was amazing. All the toppings (tofu, bok choy, bean sprouts, fried onion, sour pickle, green onions, fried wontons) were great- the sour pickle was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. The broth had an amazing depth of flavor- definitely curry, but not overwhelmingly so with a hint of refreshing lemongrass (it was also very light and smooth). The noodles were springy and got well-coated with broth. You get to choose your spice level, which is nice. This spot was packed on a weekday night, which was a good indication. Ambiance is casual. The short rib ramen was good, but the noodles were short, like they were cut or made short on purpose. The shrimp shumai was disappointing. Small bite sized portions, but they were soft. After cutting into one, I found out that they use rice as a filler with a bit of shrimp. I've never seen rice used in shumai, unless it's Shanghai sticky rice shumai. Also got a unagi don togo, it was good, just a bit small on the portion of eel, but it's hard to mess up an unagi don.

They had a great assortment of different cuts, meats, and seasonings for the kbbq and all the classic dim sum dishes. And the ones I would absolutely order again are the seafood pancake, curry chicken, and BBQ short rib... Actually, I would reorder just about everything we had plus some more that we missed out on! The food is where it loses me because of how expensive it is and how it just not good enough to justify the price. We went for our 5 year anniversary. We called ahead to have the whole duck. But it definitely not a whole duck. It definitely was a lovely experience but it a bit expensive and not every part of the duck like we thought. We got some appetizers. We ordered the wellness soup and the tea smoked fish fillet. Both were super yummy. We ordered this lobster dish which right away was too rubbery and overcooked after one bite. The wait staff was quick to suggest us to order something else after noticing we didn't love it. He took our lobster away and we went with the seafood Tom Yum. It was yummy but again not worth the price. I have had more flavorful options for a better price. We got the tea which was wonderful. It was nice how they kept it warm and kept refilling the hot water. We got some dessert which was yummy but nothing special. Again I think it was a good place but for the price it needs to be more consistent and have a better wow factor.
