We live in Antioch and hoped to patronize a restaurant in our community. We have ordered and dined in to this restaurant since they opened. I love Chirashi and when we called to see if they offered it we were told yes but only as take out. The person who told us they did and the person who took the order were obviously too different employees. My husband told the employee who had doubts on our call in order to please call us since they had our phone number with any questions. When my husband arrived 30 minutes later my Chirashi was in our order. I spoke to manager/owner and he had no explanation other than the chefs did not how. This is like a hidden gem. Nothing flashy, not much advertising but delicious food. If you are a crab Rangoon fan, you NEED to try these. Six pieces stuffed full served with a side of sweet and sour sauce. Soups are good (standard fare), same with edamame. Most of the entrees are pretty good, orange chicken has actual zest ( this ain't Panda Express), we like the combination fried rice too. The real star is the sushi rolls! The sushi is fantastic and a huge part of the reason this place has us back there on a regular basis. We recommend the Asian Harbor special and the Godzilla (best one we think). Prices are extremely reasonable and quantity is great, this place is almost too good to share, but if you haven't been, you're missing out. read more

Whatever town I visit, I make a point of checking out their version of sushi. Picked this place by random and I was thoroughly impressed. Borderline, best sushi I've ever had. Good sushi. Not mind blowing, but very good. Dined in once and had take out once. To go order of shumai was really good. Dined in and they were frozen solid in the middle. Not crazy for any of the signature rolls. Heart to heart roll was ok, but wouldn't order it again. Smaller rolls have been on point. Really enjoyed the salmon avocado roll. My boyfriend enjoyed the shrimp tempura. Service each time was very friendly. To sum it up: happy that I can get sushi 2 minutes down the road, but if I have an extra 30 minutes I'll drive to Kawa in Grayslake, Honada in Kenosha, or Tsukasa in Vernon Hills. read more

The sushi is delicious! I have been here three times now and have never been disappointed with the food. The crab rangoons and steamed dumplings are both great starters. The sushi rolls are delicious, not to mention beautifully presented. My favorite is the Asian Harbor Special Roll. Many people are probably apprehensive because of the strip mall location in Antioch, but I highly recommend paying this restaurant a visit. It is worth it. read more

This is a wonderful little Asian fusion place! Really good sushi, tasty Thai and good American style Chinese food. We love the crazy tuna roll, the pad see ewe is very good and the kids love the Japanese fried rice with ramune sodas. It's our new regular Asian food place. Wish they delivered! read more

I would have never walked in here if it weren't for the fabulous reviews I read. Just because it used to be a dumpy looking Chinese place. Um, wow. This place got totally revamped. It looks awesome, sushi was fabulous. Decent prices. My fiance loved his general tso chicken (he doesn't eat sushi). High prices, low quality sushi. Regular entrees are very overpriced and underwhelming, mediocre portions. Service is good. If you need a quick meal though definitely call ahead and carry out! I'm a sushi addict so I do carry out here to get a quick fix occasionally. If you can drive 20 minutes and need your sushi go to Kawa in Grays Lake instead. We went here for lunch. We were surprised at how flavorful the food was. I had the pad kee mao and my husband had sushi. The sushi was fresh and good. We will be back. The Asian restaurants in this area was lacking good food and we're glad we tried Asian Harbor. read more

First visit here. I called in for sushi carryout at 9pm on a week night. Everything was very fresh. Rainbow roll was very good. Deluxe sushi platter was very good (and the chef's choice only included fresh fish, not egg and cooked shrimp like most places). Miso soup was good but a small portion. Salad was not just iceberg lettuce so it was good. Salad dressing was a little watered down but hey, that happens. I only had the sushi so I cannot comment on the other food. I will definitely order from there again and try some of their Chinese food. But this is my new local "go-to" place for sushi. read more

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and his parents took me here and I fell in love. I am a sushi lover and always had to drive somewhere 20 minutes or so away in order to get my sushi fix. Not a fan. We tried this place a few different times and really want to like it since it is local and there aren't many options, but this place is really lacking in their quality of meat. We had the chicken pad thai and it was actually kind of gross to the point that I didn't eat it. The beef pad see ew was pretty good, but the quality of the beef was really cheap. The last time we ate inside the restaurant and it had a funky smell to it. I don't like posting bad reviews because I want to see this place do well, but they need to know what people think so they can better themselves. I hope they improve their quality of meat. read more

Wow! I was looking forward to trying this place but man was I disappointed. I can't believe all the 4-5 reviews! I ordered Pad Thai, Thai rolls, and spicy crab sushi roll. I didn't like anything. The Pad Thai had green pepper in it and almost a tomato base. I've never had Pad Thai with either of those elements before. The Thai rolls were greasy and tasted of oil and the sushi was not good. I'm usually not a picky eater and rarely complain about my food but this was just not tasty. Staff were friendly and my order was ready quickly. I really was hoping to like this place but sadly I won't be returning. read more

My sister and I ordered dinner online for pickup last November. The online ordering process was easy, and I was so glad that they had descriptions. We got the Pink Lady Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, Godzilla Roll, Shrimp Tempura with Vegetables, Sweet Potato Roll, and Crab Rangoons. ALL of it was delicious! This is the place to go for the whole family. Hubs and I were in the mood for sushi and my parents wanted Chinese. Everyone was SO pleased and it was such beautiful food. The food is terrific. My wife got thai food and I had sushi. Excellent. My complaint is that, if you look at the online menu, you can see all of the martinis and polynesian drinks that are available. We were informed, once we had sat down at our table, that only beer, wine and sake were available. This was disappointing because this was a a celebration dinner and we thought that sort of thing would be fun before dinner. This would have been a 4 star review. It is a 3 star review because the online menu does not match up with the reality of the actual experience. read more

We went here for my daughter's birthday with family visiting from out of town and everyone was happy with their food, both the Chinese entrees and few sushi rolls we tried. I also loved that they brought my daughter a flower, decorative chopsticks to take home and a mochi ball with a candle in it because it was her birthday! Asain harbor has decent food, but the service that i have received, multiple times, has continuously kept me from returning. everyone besides the male server is pleasant and professional. on the other hand, my husband and i have been treated very rudely and even ignored by the male server. i have received warm sushi, dirty spoons & cups. etc. after confronting him about the spoon he went into the back, wiped it off, and gave me the same dirty spoon thinking i wouldn't notice. on our last visit, we waited atleast 10 minutes to even have our drinks taken, even though we were the ONLY people in the restaurant, while the boy was sitting by the computer looking at us. Asain harbor is a fairly decent restaurant, but terrible service definitely ruined the restaurant, and experience for me. read more

We have ordered carry out from them many times and always enjoy it. Our favorites include the crab rangoon (which seems homemade with plenty of crab and includes a delicious dipping sauce), godzilla roll, crispy eel roll, and mongolian beef. We've tried some other things that we didn't care for as much - a few of the other rolls and the fried rice - but I'm sure that's just personal preference. We've only eaten in the restaurant once, which was years ago, so I can't comment on the service, but we'll keep placing orders for our favorites whenever the mood strikes!
