White cake with peach fruit mixed into the filling. Delicious! Not too sweet
Rumany P.

I have to update my review today. We got the cone pastry, the fruit tart and the strawberry pineapple whole cake. Everything is not the same. The fruit tart is a little tougher and not as flavorful The cake was a lot more sweet and now too sweet for me. There was a little weird after taste as well. I'm sad because this was our go to cake. The people are still nice, but the decoration and presentation aren't as detailed as well. I hope they go back to how it used to be!

Delicious pastries, great for gifting. I liked the cones with creamy filling, pistachio baklava and the zoolbia which are sugar funnel look alike crispy sweet Iranian fritters. Extremely sweet. Nice green boxes.

Rosie at Asal Bakery did an incredible job on my girls' birthday cake! The decorations were absolutely beautiful, and the cake tasted delicious. Everyone loved it, and the kids were especially excited and impressed by the decorations!

Baklava

I came in here for the baklava. I like my baklava gently sweetened and I don't like rose water or cinnamon. It's just a simple plain baklava, the way I love it. There are a lot of complaints on Yelp about their service, but I thought the ladies who helped me were very nice and helpful. I will continue to come back.

Maggot from their foods

I bit into it and a bug came out, immediately showing me how filthy their kitchen is. *It seems "Indian Meal Moth Larva". Based on my research, this is the most common pest found in stored, dry goods like flour, cereal, nuts, chocolate, and cake mixes--all of which are used to make pastries. It means their flour is all contaminated. BE AWARE.

Atosa T.

Horrible customer service. These people need to train their employees, the lady who gave us the service was absolutely low class and horrible to communicate with. Do not come to this place. Horrible people, horrible pastry . NOT Recommended

Nice and clean. Pastries looked delicious. I think it's $15/lb. got the Napoleon- good but a bit too sweet for my liking.

The most delicious pastries at this place. No wonder it's usually crowded. My favorite is their pineapple and strawberry cake.

Paderia totally lives up to all of it's hype!!!…read more It's located in The Square busy shopping plaza ~ between Main St. & MacArthur Blvd..next to Pasta Viva & nearby Nektar & Starbucks. Parking is plentiful, however, the plaza can get busy during working/business hours due to the surrounding corporations..so heads up! The staff is super welcoming & friendly. They are efficient & the lines move quickly. The decor is uber modern and ambience is nice & chill. They are known for their quality baked goods. I especially love their cookies & Portuguese egg tarts. The creamy custard center and crispy flakey pastry & carmelized top is absolutely PERFECTION! My fav/go-to cookie is the chocolate walnut. RxFoodie tip! Ask for it warmed up ~ it's yummy, crispy on the outside & perfectly gooey inside. It's baked w/ imported Belgian chocolate, which makes it so decadent and paired perfectly w/ the pecans & walnut bits. It's heavenly. I haven't tried their drinks or other specialty desserts yet, but it's tempting..maybe next time. A solid bakery to try & high recommend!!!

One con: I hate the small boxes the pastries come in. Ordered cookies to go and as I was walking to my car when the box opened from the bottom and all my cookies fell through. 3 cookies is almost $20. Had to walk back and paid for 3 more replacement cookies. They actually gave me a bigger box the second time. Why they tried to cram the cookies into the smaller box in the first place is beyond me.

It advertises itself as a more premium pastry brand and I don't mind paying a little more for quality pastries. For this last trip, it sorta fallen off a cliff for me. I got their cream puffs this past weekend and I was gravely disappointed. It had labeled a use date of 7/14/26 when I bought it on 7/11/26. I tried it with my wife today on 7/13/26 and the cream tasted sour... Wait, what? How??? Why??? We wondered whether it was a "new" flavor or something and realized that no, this just went bad. Granted that you are paying $12 for 6 of these, for $2 each puff this is not really acceptable at all. Sure, I called the store and they refunded me this purchase. By letting them know that they should probably throw away the rest of this batch, will this happen? The store clerk told me so, but who knows? The fact that you have to question premium stores really puts a sour taste in your mouth. It does make you wonder whether to come by again in the future or not. And that's on top of whether to trust any of the labels they provide or not....geez...

Only recently was I able to visit and try their croffles and other sweets. Did NOT know that this was inside the H Mart food court in Diamond Jamboree. Parking is horrendous and the driving there is horrendous as well. Probably the easiest and least horrifying option just to automatically default to is to just park in the overflow lot right next to the plaza. There's no indicator for the parking garage so on a particularly busy day, you can head all the way to the top, find nothing and navigate through the hell crowds trying to leave. Ambiance is a very casual, counter order business in the food court. There's seating there, but we ate really close by. Definitely something you have to eat immediately or the texture will not be optimal or it might get soggy. We got the tiramisu croffle and they toasted it and put it together for us there. The lady working there packed it up nicely in a to go box and we got some cookies (regular ones and almond crisp ones). It's a bit sweet, but they're dessert pastries so that makes sense. Goes great with a brewed cup of tea. Croffle had a nice semi-chewy texture and the tiramisu flavor added a bit of a coffee taste to it. Good balance of the cream and croffle. The cookie wasn't too bad either. Overall not a bad to go dessert spot.

I like getting the plain vanilla one, and it also comes with a little cereal at the bottom that gives it a good crunch. The coffee jelly milk is also great, it feels similar to a boba drink but it's a lot cheaper. Whenever I come here it's always the same lady who I'm sure is tired of seeing me lol, but she is so sweet and kind and patient when I have trouble deciding what to pick here! As for the pastries/desserts, the custard pudding cup deserves more love! I'm not sure if it's housemade here, but if you've ever been to Japan, it tastes exactly like the ones you buy from the konbini! I remember I would buy one almost every day of my trip, so I've grown cravings for it that Hamadaya satisfies in OC. The bavarian chocolate cream is a fun decadent pastry if you're into chocolate- comes with so many chocolate chips. The cheese bread is also a go-to for me if I'm in a savory mood- it's exactly what it sounds like, cheese and bread but who doesn't love those two things? Egg katsu sandwich is good if you're looking for something more substantial. The strawberry shortcake I've tried here was also good, but I did pick it up near their closing so it felt a little dried out. Definitely would recommend coming here earlier in the day for fresher and better selection of pastries!
