I've always passed by this place so I finally decided to give it a try. From the outside, it looks like a classic burger joint but their menu is so diverse! They got everything from burgers (obviously), to sandwiches, to hot dogs, to salads. They seem to accommodate customized orders pretty easily as well. Heck, there's even a drive thru if you're pressed for time! I just sat inside, which offers plenty of seats and a clean environment. I ordered an avocado cheeseburger with half onion rings and half french fries. Not bad!!! A couple of the onion rings came out burnt but I wasn't expecting too much out of them anyways. The fries were nice and thick, way better than skinny fries. The burger itself had lots of slices of avocado which was good because they didn't skimp on it. Some places charge for ranch but I managed to snag a couple containers of ranch for free...all you gotta do is ask! The rest of the burger wasn't too bad. Your typical ordinary burger. Nothing that jumped out at me to wow me. Parking in the back is a little tight...especially when you're trying to get out. I have to admit, I was very skeptical of this place, so despite the fact that I work next door and have driven past it every day for 3 years, I never went. I mean, it's called Astro Burger and from the outside just looks like another grease filled fast food joint. After ordering in lunch for three weeks and shooting down the suggestion for Astro Burger every day, we finally agreed to get it when my coworker said that he would personally go pick it up and bring it back for us. Well.. the group of us.. about 8.. all apologized and said that we stood corrected and should not have been so skeptical, because everything was great. The GREEK SALAD that you can order as a full size or side was delicious and the CHICKEN PITA was also really really good (flavorful and cooked just right). The menu is HUGE and they have a lot of Vegetarian options.. so it is possible to go healthy here, which is something that surprised me. But, if you want to be unhealthy, there is totally that option as well ;) I didn't go inside the restaurant, but from what I hear, it is very clean and the staff is excellent. This location is close to my current office so I thought I'd grab a quick late lunch on my way home. I love a good chili cheeseburger but this was one of the worst I've had in Los Angeles. I've eaten at Astro Burger numerous times. What's consistent is the feeling that I've overpaid. The food is "okay" for the most part. The one thing I really do like is the Greek soup. Other items I've ordered and wouldn't order again include the fish and chips and definitely the coffee milkshake. The shake was essentially undrinkable. The coffee flavor was insanely strong. What prompted me to finally write this review was my experience today. Among other things, I ordered a turkey burger and asked for a lettuce wrap, no bun. I order all of my sandwiches sans bun from any and every place I go and NEVER have I been charged extra for this, until today. After requesting the itemized receipt (I was wondering why the price seemed a little high and was only given the credit card receipt), I noticed that I had been charged an extra $1.00 for my lettuce wrap. I'm pretty sure this sandwich comes with lettuce. I would hope that it does, because the only other thing on it was mayo and a tomato. I paid $7.27 (pre-tax) for that. Ridiculous. On top of that, I also noticed that they add a 4% charge to all orders paid by credit card. Ridiculous. Join the rest of us in 2020. After reading some other reviews, it appears that there might an issue here with the prices/charges. I don't know why this place feels the need to nickle and dime their customers. My Husband has been really wanting to give this place a try and he ordered the Astro Burger & chili cheese fries , I got a double cheese burger and large fries , we got our son chicken tenders & we shared a coke . The restaurant itself is very clean , and surprisingly good parking for the location and even has a drive thru . The service was fast and the workers were friendly . Ambiance itself is nice and even decorated nicely BUT THE FOOD was the WORST! I wanted to love this place but personally hated it. The food taste like Fair Food , and it was pretty pricey paid around 50$ for the quality of food it honestly wasn't worth it . We ended up throwing away the fries and barely ate most of our burgers. My burger was soggy and bland , my husband said the chili cheese fries were so bland and worst he's ever had. I tried the chicken tenders and they were okay. Now the only good thing was the Soda I love a fizzy drink and their soda was very fizzy lol. But wouldn't recommend this place nor will I ever be going back , very disappointed. Used the drive-thru 20 mins before closing time on Thursday night. Tried ordering a salmon burger and was told grill was already cooling off so my order could not be fulfilled. Lady working the drive-thru recommended I order a cheeseburger or chicken sandwich. This made me wonder if those items were already pre-cooked or microwaved since they were not going to cook it on the grill. I ordered a veggie burger, sweet potato fries, and a cheeseburger. All items were not warm. Buns were dry. Fries were soggy. Food was definitely rushed as it seemed like cooks wanted to close for the night ASAP. It was hard to enjoy the food. Very disappointed. Bad customer service , on may 15 me and my friend went to the drive thru for lunch . Everything was fine until my friend order a Snapple , he said can he have a cup of ice because the drink wasn't cold . Instead of just giving him a cup of ice she argue that she just pulled it out the fridge. My friend insisted that she feel the Snapple that it was at room temperature. She said I know how it's cold cause I just pulled it out . It was not . She than proceed to argue with him over the drink . All this could have been avoided with just a cup of ice . I guess she needed to be right or something . The lady at the drive thru has no business working in customer service . Apparently the customer is not right. A shame cause it was our first time here . I've eaten at Astro burger way back when, but recently came back because I was craving french fries and it was on the way to my BF's house. I tried to turn in to the parking lot once before but I was holding up traffic. The next time I tried to go in the other side but it was a one way, so I ended up driving around and pulling in. I decided to get a small order of regular french fries and sweet potatoes (to be healthy, lol). I was surprised that it ended up being 7 bucks, but it does cost more to be healthy. Fries weren't very salted but they were nice and crispy. They gave me both ketchup and this mayo aioli dipping sauce. Clearly one of those places to go after drinking or to cure a hangover. I love their crispy tacos and fries, burgers are ok, not great, not a fan of the onion rings. Nope...I stop and stare across at the Astro Burger sign with no intention of eating there, but am curious about the "Large Vegetarian menu" sign. Wait, isn't that like an antonym...burgers and vegetarian!? Anyway, after the wine festival opposite Paramount Studios Sam and I jumped on a bus and saw Astro Burger. We had that "Let's go there" stare so we headed in. Lots of homemade dishes that didn't look so appetizing. And a large selection of vegetarian dishes. I love this place for quick Greek, American, and/or vegetarian food. The service is always top-notch - very friendly, helpful people, including Marcela, who basically walked me through the entire vegetarian menu to make sure I picked a great choice. The food is good, a lot of classic American items, plus some Greek and vegetarian specialties (I heard the owner is a vegetarian originally from Greece). It's certainly not always the healthiest (even the smoothies are shockingly sweet, so they must have added sugar), but I only go here when I'm NOT in a green juice and salad type of mindset. I work fairly close to this Astro Burger. I've wanted to try it as there's a drive thru (LOVE my convenience), but I've always been a little hesitant as the facade of the building is a little dated and kind of sad looking if I'm honest. I'm also trying to consciously eat more vegetarian or vegan (and am more often than not successful...but not always), and I didn't see a ton of veg. options when I initially skimmed the menu online. I went for an early lunch this week and it was starting to get a little busy, though it's open 24 hours I believe, so you can pretty much go whenever your heart desires. I was quite wrong about the veg. options, as there's a dedicated vegetarian menu. Keep in mind that they don't have beyond or impossible meat options, but they have Gardenburger-based foods. I chose the Philly Gardenburger (mushrooms, peppers, Gardenburger patty, American cheese and mayo on a wheat french bun) and Zucchini fries, which Yelp seems to rave about. The sandwich was pretty good though not great (3/5 for me). The Gardenburger patty was a bit crunchy and the onions were a little too wilted and bitter for my taste. I also think it would be much better if they offered cheese whiz or provolone to kick up the taste a notch. The Zucchini fries were good but a bit too fried for my liking--they were essentially onions rings in texture with a thick layer of a fried outer shell. Still, they were quite good, and you can't help but to get some Vitamin B from the dish, right? The interior was also fast-moving, bright, efficient and clean. It's a cash only location but they have an ATM. I think if I go again I'll try a different veg. option and will stick with the regular fries. read more

Wow this place is so average. I had a burger, fries and drink. I will try it one more time but definitely not get a burger. Maybe a different sandwich. The fries are maybe a 1 star and the burger maybe a 2 or 2.5 star. If you want a good burger this isn't the place. I added bacon and avocado but for $15 I can get a way better burger in Los Angeles.
