I see a lot of negative reviews on here and alas, people who have never worked in "customer service" just don't understand the hardships that follow. Yes, you are going to have to wait to be assisted *gasp* ! Patience is key here & it's worth the wait because once you are approached the Manhattan Beach AT&T crew will give you their undivided attention. Luckily I was matched up with Kimberly! I always get worried that the AT&T agents are going to get frustrated with me since I'm on a shared line plan with my father, but thankfully they are always very patient and willing to give me the best advice and assistance possible. I'd really like to commend Kim for her patience and assistance. I had several replacement phones and she spent her time trying to get one of them set up. I was so impressed with her kindness and understanding that I decided to take her advice and get a newer phone. She was just a doll! I have never in my life dealt with more ineptitude. I have spent 8 hours in the past two days in store and on the phone simply trying to carry my cellular plan from my old apple watch to my new. I had 4 calls dropped and no exaggeration here 10 different representatives who all took me through the same process. What's the number, what's your pin, okay go to the app, now it won't let you add service? Three specialty technicians from apple stepped in and still, your team asked the same garbage. Their superiors, no different. I have screenshots of the time wasted on the phone with this organization and will be expecting someone to reach out to make this better. Just because my company pays my bill, doesn't mean that one person shouldn't know how to move service or use numbersync. We went to this store because our usual store said they could not help us. It was a complex problem but Emmanuel saved the day and the Holidays by being patient and knowledgeable. He also saved us $100 a month on our bill by changing it to a better plan. I know sometimes it's crowded and they are under staffed but if you are patient they can help you. AT&T Store @ 1130-C Sepulveda Blvd Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 Sent out 3 emails regarding my Complaint to AT&T and No Replies! Visited the store to purchase a "New 5G Cell Phone", I was the only customer in the store at that time, plus 4 AT&T Sales People. I told the representative I was interested in the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G AT&T Prepaid - 64GB, her first comment was "How do you know we have it in this store?" I replied "I just got off the phone with a AT&T Sales Department". She went in the back room to check, after a few minutes came out with the Samsung, I asked if it was the 64 or 32 5G? without even looking at the box she said "It's the 32", I then said I'd like the 64 please, & she said after looking at box it's the 64; then I asked if they'll transfer the information from my current LG cell to the new Samsung, the answer was "No", I couldn't believe it since I was accommodate in the past; her comment was "So do you want it or not?" Great customer empathy!!! I don't know who hires these people at the Manhattan Beach store, all they do is occupy space, & chat with each others, these are the employee who represent the "AT&T" brand name!!!!  (Almost every time I visit that store they're always chatting) December 8th, I contacted AT&T Tech. Support and they informed me that they should help with the transfer, I went back to the AT&T Manhattan Beach Store, waited for someone to help me, finally Jackie came, again asked for the Samsung A32 5G 64GB to purchase & asked if they'll help with the transfer, the answer was the same, regardless of telling them that's not was I was told.  I purchased the phone & asked to speak with the Supervisor or Manager, who was on the phone, I was not far from him, I was told he'll be with me as soon as he's done with his call, so I waited for his call to end.  He approached "Jackie" the sales person & went in the back room, I waited another 20-25 minutes but he never came out, I waved good-buy to "Jackie" and left. I was upset, I decided to wait till the next day December 9th to contact AT&T for help with setting up the "New Samsung" phone, I had no idea how to even turn it on!  That day it took 8 hours with "Ellen" customer support to partially set it up as she had to leave & said she'll call me the next day! The next day December 9th I called customer service again to finish up the setting of the phone and to re-set my husband LG Cell phone, took another 7 to 8 hrs., but the gentleman (Muhammed from Egypt) was extremely knowledgeable, nice & very, very helpful. What a difference in Customer Care! I do understand due to the Holidays & everyone trying to update their phone system the agents were probably overwhelmed, but this does not mean you can't help the customers in stores!!!! I will think twice next time when purchasing another new phone, it will be an iPhone since all my home Electronics are Apple Products and they're a lot more helpful with they're customers. I did call Apple Tech Support to ask if in the future I were to purchase an iPhone would they be able to transfer the information from an Android phone to the iPhone & the reply was not only will we transfer everything from the old phone but we''ll make sure everything is satisfactory! This store shares a parking lot with Target and Blockbuster on the corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd and Sepulveda. So there's tons of parking and you can usually find a spot right in front of the door. Donte is the guy to speak to if you ever come into this store. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and service oriented. He is well versed on the newer phones that have recently come out as well as the ins and outs of AT&T services. He seems to have the most experience at this location. This place can be crowded but the wait goes generally fast. A few hints if you're visiting this location: 1. If you're in the area and need to check your email, feel free to come in and use their display iPhones. Just be quick about it! 2. The exit on the Sepulveda side is right turn only to the north. If you need to exit in any other direction, go behind the AT&T store and there is a driveway with a light where you can get out. 3. Don't be the a-hole who comes in here right before closing and wants to get a bunch of new lines and phones set up. Ok? 4. IF YOU ARE GETTING AN iPHONE: The set up is done at home, online, through Apple. So just know that you have to purchase it here but take it home to activate it. read more

Ready for the AT&T Wireless Idio-Cing-crasies? 1. They advertise a rate of .05/minute to Mexico but charge .45/minute to call from West L.A. to West L.A. 2. You will be billed in one minute increments even if your call is only 10 seconds long. So if you place two calls in the same minute (let's say one is busy) you'll be charged for two full minutes. So, it's possible to get charged .90 for two calls that don't "go through", in under 30 seconds time. 3. You will be charged for calls to your voicemail. Same rate: .45/minute 4. If someone call waits you and you answer it, you may be charged that crappy .45/minute rate for two calls at once! Even if you drop the other call. This happened to me. I got charged for the call I dropped for 8 minutes after I let it go. 5. If the network drops your call and you dial the same person back, you'll be charged that physics-defying, two calls in the same minute BS described in #2 above. 6. When you call to contest the craziness, the Cingularly illogically trained employees will defend the physics-bending billing. 7. No more free phones. That really sucks. Ahhhhhh, after my experience with the AT&T Wireless Idio-Cing-cracies, I don't want more signal bars, I need a real bar! read more

Whats worse is AT&T will bill you for service not rendered, without any consideration for credit. DO NOT GO! I went into this store and arrived as It was opening up. The staff seemed very overwhelmed it was a Monday and they had to be there. Felt like a weird mix of people who wanted to help customers and others who were just physically there "working" When I finally got helped, the individual seemed like they really could careless about my questions I had and made me feel silly for asking them. I can assure you that I felt very uncomfortable and will not return to the store ever. Seriously questioning if I should keep AT&T at all. In a moment of lapsed intelligence, I put the nano SIM in the slot of my iPhone 6 without the card adapter. I tried to remove it myself without success. The earliest Apple store appointment was in a week. I called this AT&T store and spoke to manager, Bala, who said I could come in anytime and they'd help me. This review is about ATT wireless and not the specific MB store. I put my fiancé on my plan and was offered a "free" LG tablet. I'm like free "free" or are there hidden charges? No charges, sir. Really? Yep, its free and your there are no charges other than if you use it off of wireless your plan will be charged. Sounds good, send me one. Got it today and noticed the $25 of tax they planned on charging me for my "free" tablet. Then I called to activate it and heard about a $40 activation charge and a $10 a month extra line charge. No thanks, liars, I'll stick with my iPad. Your LG is being returned at your expense. Free my a$$. read more

Two bad experiences. Once they picked to phone cases off rack and didn't notice one was wrong for my phone. Had to return to store. Last Friday I had a problem with voice mail on a new work iPhone. They attempted to help but quickly referred me to Apple store. It could have been fixed at AT&T if they had directed me to the customer care.instead they sent me to Apple. I've been to this locate a couple times and every time things go wrong. 1st time they convinced me to add a line so I can convert it to a land line. Well when I called to set up I was told that would be $500. So I was stuck with a line for 2 years and never used. Recently I changed my plan because my old plan was grandfathered in and it was starting to get expensive. Got new phones to go with it and the sales person added new line to new phone when I specifically told him to use other phone number. So I had to go back and change that. Then it was time to get direct TV installed because bill will be cheaper if it was placed under my name. Well when the h came to install we were given the genie lite. A total down grade of what we had before. So we went back and they spent 1 hr trying to set an appointment and within that one 1 a guy who has mental issues or on drugs came in making all customers (who all brought kids, including myself) very uncomfortable. What did sales people do?......... what ever he wanted. They just hid in the back or went to the back of the store. Customers were even coming in telling the sales people to call police if he has no business there. I wouldn't recommend going there and if you do stick to your plan. I have been a customer with Verizon for over 7 years now, and unfortunately I had to switch because of outrageous prices and bills. Although, I am extremely happy with my experience at this AT&T store in Manhattan Beach! I was instantly greeted by Richard as soon as I walked into the store. I explained to him that I had an unlocked iPhone 6s that I wanted to activate again using a Pay-as-you-Go type plan. He and I went over everything that was available and what he recommended. My biggest worry was a contract or hidden fees. He explained to me everything that was included and not included. Anyways, with excellent service and everything taken care of in just under 10 minutes, I highly recommend going to this AT&T store for anything you need! Absolute worst customer service. Don't even bother, a complete waste of time. Employees kept going in the back for extended periods of time while I needed service and then charged me money for a problem that was entirely on their end. After I left the problem was still not resolved so I called back and was told someone would call me right back to assist me. TWO HOURS LATER no one had called so I called again and once I told them my name I was put on hold for forty five more minutes. Very disappointed with the way I was treated. This is for AT&T Digital Life. Customer Care 855.288.2727, #2 = awful. Device quality = 2 year life. Alarm sound strength = weak, you can't hear it; too low volume. Retail store is equipped to sell the service, install people are good but once monitoring starts, the actual service is terrible. AT&T should not be in the home security monitoring or automation business. If you have trouble you will be passed around to multiple departments. The worst customer experience management. Too big a company, too immature of a service. Latest example: called Customer Support to make appointment for battery replacement took 32 minutes. Rep put me on hold several times to (1) check status of battery life (2) make appointment (3) second hold get a appointment ID. To remove the thermostat monitoring Service took another 23 minutes. First I was sent over to 'Retention Department', the Retention Dept rep had to patch in another person from another department to actual effect the removal of thermostat from my Service. Every step in the workflow required 'a brief hold' in the process. Tech Support was the only team that was competent. 855.288.2727, #4...who was patched in at 45 minute mark. read more

My husband and I have only ever been with AT&T. We have had our fair share of issues in the past, but this location specifically has always helped us resolve those issues. The reason for my review though and why I'm giving it 5 stars is because of the manager, Willie. He is the most knowledgeable, helpful, determined to help resolve any issue and cares about his customers. He helped my husband and I get this one pretty wild situation resolved and even gave me his phone number so that I could text him directly to check in on updates. Can I give a zero? I recently picked up the new watch and new phone and ended up being talked into direct tv and packaging my internet. Biggest mistake of my life. The scum sales man along with the manager Kevin did so much sketchy stuff that it has been a nightmare. They apparently Created a new account for each product, one for my watch (with the watch they create a line that forwards to the phone) for my internet, for my direct tv and for my phone. Apparently the more accounts they create the more money they make in store. They also set up protection plans that I told them I didn't want. Furthermore, I told them I owned a business so they set my internet in a business account. Which was turned off for a week and now gets turned off even after auto paying my bills. Direct tv sucks is not worth it and works worse when connects to att account. I have spent hours trying to fix this and no one can help. I went to this location to get a SIM card for my Unlocked phone. The gentleman that serviced me was friendly and helpful, but 4 weeks later when we got the bill we were surprised that a $30 insurance bundle had been stealthily added to my account, and we were charged a pro-rated amount from the day of my visit. Needless to say we were very upset and frustrated about having to pay for a service that was not requested. How does getting a SIM card equate to also adding insurance coverage without informing the customer?! After over an hour on the phone with customer service (seems like customer service calls with AT&T always takes 1 hour), we weren't able to get refunded for this. I used the My AT&T online portal to remove this un-requested insurance bundle. Thankfully, I haven't had any surprises since then. I will definitely think twice before ever stepping into this store, or any AT&T store again. And if I cannot avoid it, I will get a transaction summary of everything that took place. read more

I've bought several phones and been to the AT&T store in Manhattan Beach multiple times. The staff there is very good and their customer service is excellent. However, corporate AT&T customer service is beyond terrible. I have NEVER called for support and not gotten the message "...due to high call volume...". The people that ultimately get on the phone for AT&T are stupid and have NO DESIRE to help you. They simply spout canned lines ("I understand your frustration") over and over. They stick mindlessly to some rules they've been given and can't make even the slightest exception for customers. I have no idea if Verizon's (or anyone else's) customer service is better. But AT&T customer service sucks. read more

I will admit the store was in good order and there was not a wait so that was nice. And that is the only reason for the 2nd star. I only walked in to find out why my son's tablet was not getting the internet service I was paying for. The rep told me to restart his device to which I had already done. She then took the tablet and found the sim card was out of place. Never told me that is what it was but I saw as she opened the little slot. She then proceeded to talk me into a plan upgrade and new home internet service. She gave me incorrect information left and right, if she gave any at all. Told me several times how much each part of the new wireless plan would be. When I received my bill a week later, there was a different amount listed for the tablet plan. And it wasn't just a 1 time fee. It was an extra $10 every single month. And then when you call AT&T's own customer service, they simply tell you they cannot help you and to go back to the store you got the info from. I did this when I had time and was told nothing more once again. All the rep could say is how there is no plan that she had told me about 2 weeks before. Then another 4 days later, I received another bill for the internet service already which included a hefty $99 installation fee on top of the monthly fee. Again, that was never relayed to me when I signed up. When I originally signed up with Spectrum, there was no installation fee so I didn't think about having to ask. Plus it should definitely be disclosed up front. The rep knew my reason for switching was to save money. She also had no clue if I could use my own modem/router and didn't even bother to ask around to find out. Just told me i had to ask the tech when he arrived at my house and it is another $10 per month. Now doing the math in my head i figured even after switching all services, i could save $10-$20 a month. And now i am paying more for everything than I was before. And even if I cancelled the internet now I still have to pay the installation fee. This is ridiculous. Very unsatisfactory! read more
