Possibly the worst service in Athens. They took 30 minutes longer than they said, which wasn't a problem and we just waited outside, but when it was finally "ready", the manager walked out and said he couldn't make one of the dishes and to call and get a refund from the takeout service and then stormed away without giving us any of the other dishes that we ordered or giving me a chance to order a different dish. I don't think I've ever had that happen at any restaurant before (it was honestly pretty funny how angry he got for no reason and most of the other people waiting outside starting laughing). The service is just about always bad even when they don't reject your order. The food isn't much better. When you order different noodle dishes to go, they often just make the same dish regardless of what ever you ordered and what your "spicy level" was, and they just put it in separate dishes with whatever protein they ordered even if there's allergy / dietary registrations involved. This has happened to me multiple times. If you want good Chinese food where the owner doesn't awkwardly watch YouTube videos in the middle of the restaurant on his desktop computer while you eat, go to Peking down the road or if you want hibachi, save your time and money and go to Ahi directly next door instead. read more

Today was my first time trying Athens Wok and I am very impressed! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two employees. First, they helped me find the entree I was looking for and took no time for them to get the food out to me. Also, I asked for spicy mustard and they made it for me while I waited! (Don't forget to ask for spicy mustard when you order, if you want it). The food was delicious and for the amount of food given, it's a good deal. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try! I did carry-out, so I'm not sure how their dine-in service is but, I give them an A+ for their service to me. I will definitely be going back there and telling all my friends. Okay 1. This is one of the best Thai places I've been too. Their food is served extremely FRESH. 2. The owners are the SWEETEST people I've met in my life. I needed to-go for about 10-15 people and they had every single box labeled perfectly. I had the Thai Fried Rice w/ Pork and Egg drop soup. The fried rice was too salty, but I was in a hurry so I just ate them. The description for the fried rice had lots of different ingredients like bell peppers and pineapples, but it only had onions. For the price of over $9 after tax and tip the portions were too small. This is probably the best Asian food in Athens. I always get the sesame chicken or basil fried rice. I don't know how they do it, but the chicken in the sesame chicken always has a good crunch to it and is never soggy. These people know what they're doing. Go here! read more

I got extreme food poisoning from this restaurant. I couldn't tell in the beginning but the chicken was not cooked and I argued with the man asking to cook it more and he refused. There was also hair in my food assuming that they do not go by health regulations and should be inspected more. Also the customer service is awful. The man that I spoke to had an awful attitude and didn't let more order what I asked for in the beginning. I do not recommend this restaurant for anyone....unless you want to eat hair and be spoken to like you are stupid. read more

Definitely not a bad place for decent Pad Thai. The spring rolls were on the small side; a bit crispier than they should've been. But not bad. My friend had the teriyaki chicken; I don't know how she ate that, because the sauce was watery and VERY powerful on the teriyaki side, it bordered on eating chicken covered in pool water...it was THAT salty. But for lunch, the prices were cheap, service was pretty satisfactory (not amazing but far from bad), and the Pad Thai was pretty great for only $7. By far the BEST Thai food I have eaten!! The portions are large and the flavors are delicious. All of the dishes are excellent. The owners are incredible and treat me like family. The food was so so. The egg drop soup was very salty. But the food was the least of the problem. During our lunch, the staff had a big loud fight in the kitchen. Many of us wake up every morning with the day already planned for the most part. Meals, both where and when, tend to fail the prerequisites of our agenda in the busy age of 2016. Athens wok was quick and ready upon arrival for my take out order of beef lo mein and hot and sour soup. Every first time at an Asian institution I order both the beef lo mein and the hot and sour soup as a sample off their standards. The lo mein was well made with ample large pieces of beef as well and copied veggies. The soup is, in my opinion, the best in Athens and is rich and full bodied. The portions for the lo mein was worth the prices,but they lost a star when the soup came in a very small container in comparison to the other Asian eateries that I have tried in the Athens area. We waited for 45 minutes for our food and when we asked about it, they said "it's coming it's coming". It never came. After 45 minutes, we got fed up. They went into the kitchen and came out and said "they just started cooking it" after 45 FULL MINUTES. Other people came in after us and ate and left before we even got our food. Finally! A really good Chinese place in Athens! They also have wonderful Thai dishes and sushi. Don't be dissuaded by the restaurant's lack of decor or style. I've tried a bunch of stuff here and it's all been great. Not too greasy, which is important to me. Our favorites: lo mein, curry noodle soup, kung pow chicken, & pad thai. i've only had their Thai food, which was...different. Not horrible, but definitely someone doing something vaguely Thai-ish, as opposed to real Thai. Their Thai Tea is the best in Athens, unless you refuse to drink Thai Tea without boba. Athens Wok has the cheapest options for lunch. Only disadvantage is that their vegetarian options are limited, and you have to make sure to tell them that seafood is NOT vegetarian. read more
