This review is to specifically represent the customer service that Paul Russo had provided to me and ultimately cost ATI my business permanently. I reached out to ATI to have some restoration work completed. Paul Russo had come out to our house and had done a walk through to provide us with the estimate. After asking him how long it should take to complete the project he informed me that it would probably be able to be completed in about a week. He wasn't over friendly at our house but just very to the point and left. Flash forward, he completed the estimate, sent it over to our insurance, we hadn't seen anything about what their estimate covered. I finally called in to see if we could schedule some work and move forward as I had ZERO communication from ATI or Paul. I figured, hey, let me give them a call so I can get things moving as this needs to be completed ASAP. I called over to Paul and he answers the phone and then tells me that he is on vacation in a very snooty way (as if I should have known his personal schedule with absolutely zero communication on his behalf). No problem, I just wanted to move forward.. He told me that he would have the office send over the work authorization. I received this from Tiffany. Upon reviewing, I noticed that were a few areas that I had concern with. First of all, the Description of the project read "repairs per scope of work".. Being that I had ZERO work orders or estimates received from ATI, I wanted to ensure that everything that was being quoted was what I was in need of. In addition, I wanted to make sure that the baseboards, flooring, etc. were the items that were discussed. Fair enough, right? You should be able to know what items you're being charged for? Right. So then further down, it read that the job would take 14 days to complete and wouldn't start until a week after. I needed it done ASAP and I was informed that this would only take about a week so I needed to confirm or verify if this was in fact accurate. I called Tiffany at the office, as I was very rudely pointed out by Paul that he was on vacation. I left a voicemail saying that I had a few questions in regards to the work authorization that I had received and wanted to confirm a few details. I received a call back from the lovely Paul. After informing him that I had no clue what the "scope of work" included and that I needed to go over that, he told me "Fine, Ill send over a work order". I then asked him about the duration of the project as what was quoted was different than the work authorization.. he gave me attitude about that as well. I told him that I would be getting a few quotes from other people as well as I was looking to have the project completed immediately and what they were offering was different than I had expected.. Pauls response was "If you're going to shop around, then I am not going to even bother sending you the work order." WOW. RUDE! He also said that if I was just looking to save a few pennies that he wasn't going to send it over. When I told him that I just had questions about what I was supposed to be signing, he gave me even MORE attitude and told me that he was on vacation and basically shouldn't have to deal with any of this... I had called the OFFICE and they asked him to call me, so perhaps he should have complained to his office instead of complaining to his potential customer? Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the lack of professionalism that Paul Russo exuded. It was him and his attitude alone that lost my business for ATI. I have since gone elsewhere and am so grateful that I never went into business with ATI. If this is how they treat their potential customers, how would I have been treated after I forked over thousands of dollars to them? read more

----BUYER BEWARE---- 2020 was a difficult year with a global pandemic and economic hardship for many. To add to our misery, in February, the middle of winter, we had a pipe burst resulting in serious water damage to our home in Chicago. Our insurance company sent ATI Technologies to conduct the mitigation work to stop the bleeding. They did a good job and subsequently we hired them on to complete the repair and restoration of our home. BIG MISTAKE!! We could not believe the difference in how they dealt with us doing the reparations. First, the project went five months longer than the "estimated completion" date. There were times when there were no workers at the property for over two weeks at a time and our calls to inquire went unanswered. We were lied to several times about how and when work would be completed. Much of the work was done improperly and had to be redone. There were no less than 28 line-items in our Authorization Agreement that needed to be redone due to incorrect, sloppy or incomplete work. We were required to sign a Certification of Satisfaction to acknowledge the completion of ATI's work and allow the insurance company to pay them. However, we only signed the document to be done with them. The document stated the work was "completed to my satisfaction" which will never be the case. We will never be satisfied at how the entire process was handled. After living through months of needless stress, we were grateful that this sad and unpleasant episode was over. I sent in the reviews of customer disappointment , they then got even with me a refused to not do the repairs ... and I'm still in the hotel .. leak reported December 16 ... so what I learned from this is , if you are dissatisfied, don't speak out cause it just comes back on you ... karma ... so always say nice things , even if you truly are unhappy .. that's what is wrong today .. beware people , ATI they have some good people working for them , but if your situation turns sour and you reach out .. He did an inspection and it turned out that what we thought was a problem, was really nothing and as for the second issue,he said it could be remedied by a handyman. I had the unfortunate circumstance of a massive roof leak at my house. The water damage virtually destroyed my home. I made a call to American Technologies and they acted fast to dry down the water and worked diligently to repair all the damage. In my time, I have seen other contractors operate and many are careless. ATI is different because they treated my home with respect, used clean equipment, and used experienced personnel. Can you believe that not long after they were all wrapped up and done, an unrelated plumbing issue occurred and re-flooded my downstairs. Where to begin. This past summer I was introduced to ATI from my insurance company after I had a couple of burst pipes under my floors and needed the repairs I had done after to be fixed. The job at the time was an easy one, but they were so responsive and helpful. So when 4 months later I had another pipe burst in my kitchen, ATI was the first company I called to help. I didn't realize at the time, but this new burst turned out to be a major project in my kitchen and my entire house that would last 4 months of work. My pipe burst the week after Thanksgiving and it caused severe damage under my kitchen cabinets and tile floor. It also created mold. I worked with Kenny Moody through the beginning process. He was awesome. He walked me through the entire process and dealt with the insurance company directly regarding the budget and what needed to be done. The time of my burst pipe was the week after Thanksgiving so the holiday madness was a concern for me. Kenny was completely open and honest about the process and timing which prepared me for what was to come. We had to work in stages and the first thing was the demo of the kitchen and the cleaning of the mold. During the mold inspection another pipe burst and flooded the kitchen again on a Saturday. I called Kenny and literally within 20 minutes he had his crew in my house cleaning and drying the area and rescheduling the mold inspector. The madness was just beginning in my house. Because we had burst pipes over the summer and another a year earlier, we decided to completely re-pipe the house. And the house is only 10 years old. Yep..that is another story. ATI was awesome while I worked with my plumber to re-pipe the house and then bring in painters to repair every wall in my house and paint. Once I was done I started working with Dan Drabant for the rebuild. Literally we spent the holidays doing the demo, cleaning the mold and re piping. On Jan 3, Dan had everyone in the team I would need for the rebuild in my house at 12:30 sharp to start the planning. I had to have new kitchen tile done, pick out new granite and have all the cabinet boxes rebuilt and everything re-stained. In the middle of the re-piping we discovered what was an old burst pipe in my closet and my entire closet had to be gutted and my entire wardrobe took over the second story of my house. That was when I cried. But Dan and Kenny assured me all would be fine and it was. They helped me with my concerns with the closet and walked me through the entire process. And this wasn't an area in my claim. But they were such a great help. They knew how the chaos of the dust and having no kitchen was overwhelming for me. Because they were so on top of everything, I never felt the stress of the construction and lack of a kitchen. For a family of 5 we need a kitchen. Dan and Kenny were always available to me no matter what. They organized the granite person, cabinet person, appliances, electrical, plumbing...everything. Everyone that came into my home was absolutely amazing. I learned so much about my house and pipes and about my appliances. Thanks to their teams. ATI was a pure joy to work with. I am very grateful and thankful how Darren Foster, project manager for ATI, handled our claim for Allstate. Several weeks ago during a freak storm our chimney was struck by lightning. The damage to the masonry was extensive to the point that two feet had to be removed and rebuilt to do it correctly. Darren was outstanding in coordinating the masonry work with contractor Lewis Wright Masonry and the electrical inspection with Ross Hupp Electrical to ensure all was well and in working order. I finally feel free to comment on the horrific experience my family endured with American Technologies Incorporated. The reason I have waited is that I needed their unconditional waiver and release, which I received today, because I do not trust them to not do something nefarious and exact retribution for a truthful bad review. This company needs a light shone on them. We had a slab leak and were referred to ATI by our insurance company. Their estimator, Paul Russo, came out gave us an estimate (approximately $60,000) for repair and upgrade of the kitchen and shower. Obviously we would need to pay for the upgrade amount. Mr. Russo promised this to be a 2 month job, and that he would personally supervise the project and would be visiting the project and overseeing every detail on a weekly basis. The job took over 8 months to complete, due to the lack of performance of ATI, and the poor quality of workmanship that had to be removed and repeated multiple times. Week after week would go by with nothing happening or one workman would come out for half a day then nothing more for a week. Oftentimes the workman would show up with no instructions from the foreman or supervisor saying, I am here to work on the house, what do I need to do. I would think, that is what the contractor was for. Mr. Paul Russo never, not once, came out to look at the site during the 8 months. When we asked him why he was never here, his response was "your right I should come out more." Even after saying that he still never showed up. When the foreman on the project was made aware of the situation, he would role his eyes and say I cannot do anything, he is my boss. I could go on and on about the lies that were told, the deceit and the price gauging that occurred while were held hostage with our house torn apart, but that would likely bore the reader. Suffice it to say avoid American Technologies Incorporated for any project you might consider. I know construction projects are trying at best for the homeowner, we have been through several. But this company is the worst I have ever dealt with and exemplifies the horror stories you hear about this industry. read more

I worked with Marty at ATI for our restoration project over a handful of weeks. The project included much drywall repair, flooring replacement, baseboards, paint, cabinet installation and other small items. It was a pleasure to work with him and his team. Marty did an excellent job communicating! He answered all of my questions (which were extensive) - I always felt as though my concerns were heard. At times when I thought something might be falling through the cracks, Marty put me at ease and took the extra time to explain steps in the process. As a new home owner, this really helped build trust for me. I was checking on the progress of the work daily and felt confident that the contractors Marty sent were working hard. Some days, I was truly shocked at how much progress had been made. He seemed available 24/7 to me, it was surprising to hear that he had other clients. During a day I was home, I found the cabinet and drywall men to be polite, respectful, aware of safety, and had a very strong work ethic. Overall, I have been extremely impressed. My husband and I are pleased with the final product and are happy to have peace of mind that things have been installed properly and taken care of thoroughly. read more

This was a awful experience from the beginning. Paul Russo came out to check out the water damage to my daughters condo, he came across a likable guy promising us everything would well taken care. Walked us through letting us know about painting, flooring etc. He let us know Mike Clark would be our go to guy overseeing this project and we would be back in the condo within 2 weeks. Well I couldn't tell you what Mike Clark looks like because he never made it to our condo!!!! Workers showed up asking where is the work order and they couldn't start working without one. I called numerous times to Mike Clark never got a call back or a response to my many E-mails. When it was time for the painters to do their job they promised 2 coats would be applied to the walls, well that was a lie too. Paul let us know of a carpet and flooring place he uses and suggested California Cushings in the city of Orange. He told us to speak to Nicole and she would take good care of us. We made an appointment with her told her the whole story about the condo and the water damage and we were in the price range according to Paul around $3.25-$4.50 she showed us some waterproof vinyl that would be a perfect fit. We were super excited about what we picked out and she assured us it was within our price range. Nine days go by and Paul informs us that we picked out floors that went for $10.50 and we would have to fork out an extra $850.00 out of pocket, and further he stated that Nicole told him she told us we were looking at the expensive flooring! We are sure Nicole was honest with us and Paul can't be trusted. The communication from ATI was a disgrace very unprofessional. Days without any kind of E-mails, returned phone calls etc. By this time i was so fed up waiting for anything to get done I fired them. Waiting 6 weeks to get any kind of work done was joke. Please do use this company you will be frustrated beyond your means. read more

Supposedly "winterized" my building after a fire, and we have found out - not only was it not winterized properly, but they hired it out and they won't stand behind the work. I had a severe water damage at my condo at a high rise complex in Irvine recently. At first ATI was contracted by the property management for immediate drying and dehumidification. They carried out the cleanup process swiftly and thoroughly. As they were already on the project, I got them to provide a quote for the restoration project. Their quote was close to insurance estimate so I didn't hesitate to hire them for the project as they would have a head start being familiar with the scope. They carried out the repair project timely with high quality workmanship. Most remarkably the project manager Darren Froster went above and beyond to help me when I returned to the newly repaired home in limited mobility after an accident. He came to assist me several times to help with temporary modifications of the door and shower that made my access easier. It has been a very positive experience working with ATI! read more
