I have been here for brunch and dinner. Overall I prefer the brunch because you can still get the hummus and enjoy the breakfast platter with the eggs and pita bread. The skewers are good but a lot of meat for dinner. The ambiance is very nice. read more

Would have liked a tad more seasoning on the crust but it's a solid portioned dish at a solid price point - Nutty by nature if you're a fan of banana cocktails. Lots of sweetness from the sherry but balanced well with the rum - Oh you fancy huh if you love fruited, refreshing cocktails. Guava sweetness hides the bourbon well. Wife hates bourbon and she even liked it. The guava fruit leather-like topper was the perfect garnish to finish Our server was very sweet and actually ended up comping our drinks for our anniversary! Honestly, they put the kebabs from Saffys in West Hollywood to shame. The dipping sauces took everything to the next level each one was unique and packed with flavor. And don't even get me started on the asparagus I've truly never had anything like it. It was tender, flavorful, and completely unforgettable. To top it all off, the cheesecake dessert was hands-down the best I've ever had. Light, airy, and full of rich flavor it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. The 2 stars are for the staff! Very kind, attentive and professional. Our party went there for a birthday dinner. The birthday girl got a handwritten note from the restaurant (which is a great touch), the hostess seated us right away. All staff, all smiles, at all times! but now the food.... so disappointing and so overpriced. The cocktails were average, the only appetizer we cared for was the chef's plate but it did not stand out that much. The spiced lamb meatballs had zero seasoning and where "just there". I ordered the lamb skewer medium rare... it came out well and it was so bland that I took it home for the pup. I also thought the skewer was chunks of lamb (since on the menu it states it's lamb loin) but it was more of minced meat on a skewer. The schmear of tabouli was indecent for the price. Actually, the whole pricing is hideous for the amount of food and taste. I was so surprised about the subpar food because its a Simmzy's restaurant. We all agreed that the staff was wonderful but its a one and done experience! Save your coins and go next door to RYLA's! read more

However any time a table to either side gets seated, or has to get up, the 8inch gap between tables makes it impossible to not have someone's behind drag across your table (taking your fork with it). It would be better to push tables together and have a divider of some sorts. Very uncomfortable to be seated so closely. Food: very good. Portions and menu options seem more geared towards groups of 3-4 family style. It can get kind of pricey per person if just 2. The skewers are delicious but don't come with pita, so you must also order a pita or focaccia app. read more

A cute coastal Mediterranean restaurant! Not only is the food great, but the interior is absolutely gorgeous. My girlfriends and I ended up sharing a bunch of different dishes. The chef's plate includes all four dips with delicious bread, the stone fruit salad was fresh, the falafel was perfectly crisp, and we also loved the patatas bravas and the Brussels sprouts shakshuka. Everything was super flavorful. They even brought us dessert to celebrate a birthday! All the food tasted very fresh, and the menu is very vegetarian and vegan friendly. Our experience started even before we walked in the front door with a friendly greeting from the host and hostess. Once inside it was lively and noisy, filled with happy people talking and eating and drinking. We got a small table across from the bar, barely big enough for the feast we were about to order. Everything we had was delicious. We got a variety of menu items, but my top favorite were the salmon (it was cooked perfectly) and the rice pilaf. For parties of 8 or more, the restaurant requires a $100 per person minimum (before tax and tip) and even makes you sign a large party form in advance -- not for a private dining room, just for a regular table. With menu prices averaging around $20 per dish, that means a group of 8 would need to order about 40 plates just to meet the $800 minimum. The policy feels unreasonable and unwelcoming, and it was enough to turn me away before even trying the food. read more

My husband and I were here for an early mid-week dinner. What a treat. Ambience was relaxing, staff friendly, and dishes were excellent. We completely devoured the spicy whipped feta dip with focaccia. Glad we tried the cauliflower falafel but would likely try a different dish next time. The portion sizes were extremely small given the price point of this restaurant, and the quality of the food did not justify this disparity. We had an early dinner and ordered two entrees. We left the restaurant hungrier then when we arrived. My wife is usually a light eater, but we had to go to another restaurant and order a second full dinner that evening for both of us. Edited - Management made an unsolicited effort to rectify the situation and asked us to give the restaurant a second chance. The offer is appreciated. read more
