This is the first time I have sat down to write a review...ever! The Attic Projects saved the day for me. I was hearing activity in the walls for 3 weeks-ish. Based on where I live, I thought it was squirrels living in my walls. Or at least that is what I what I wanted to believe. After a couple of weeks of the activity getting louder I decided I needed to have a company come in to check out the problem. I rent so my landlord was the one that found the Attic Projects. My first introduction to the company was Chris. He arrived on time, took the time to explain what he planned on doing during his visit and he took his job seriously. After suiting up he headed up to the attic. After about 20 minutes he came back down and informed me that my ducts were not attached, the insulation was practically nonexistent and there were wires that were open...not sure if that is the right term. He showed me a lot of pictures and then went back up to the attic to find proof of rodents. After another 20-30 minutes he came back down with more pictures. He was unable to see obvious rodent signs but he explained that they could easily be in the walls hiding. After having 3-4 other companies at the house to provide estimates, my landlord decided to go with Attic Projects. Once this was determined, they were scheduled to start the following week. My next introduction to Attic Projects was with Tyler H. and his crew. They were amazing! They arrived on time, were very polite, thorough and fast. Tyler H. spent the first 15 minutes with me going over how they lay plastic down on the floors and on the walls to create a barricade from the rest of the house. This was super important for me. I did not want the rest of the house to be contaminated with whatever had been in the attic for who knows how long. He also walked the perimeter of the house with me so he could learn of any areas to pay special attention to. He knew I had anxiety about whatever was living in the walls so he wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the plan on how to get rid of the rodents without harming them. He reminded me of the 10yr warranty and reassured me my house would be rodent proofed when he was done. Tyler H. and his crew got the job done in one day. He kept me updated throughout the day and was happy to report that I had a village of birds living in my attic. He explained how they were able to remove them unharmed. I was relieved...no squirrels and no casualties! They cleaned up their mess and by the time I got home they were gone and the house smelled sanitized! The next day while I was working from my home office I noticed that my dog was paying extra attention to the vent that was in the same room. She actually would not leave the vent. She would cry, paw, drool and just stand there like she was on watch. I ended up having to put her leash on her to get her to walk away from the vent. The next day it was the same. She laid by the vent all day. Come to find out, there was a rat stuck in my wall/vent!!!! I was mortified! I immediately reached out to Tyler to let him know that something was still in my wall and it was alive. The rat is now gone and I have not heard a peep in the walls since! We have rat droppings in our attic and signs of them starting to destroy the silver insulation around some of the duct system. We had rats in the attic years ago and an exterminator came out and trapped many of them and we didn't hear them in the attic for several years. We haven't heard them in the attic for over 9 months-to a year- mainly one specific bedroom in our 2 story house. Our heater-air conditioning company came our to run their 6 month check on the units ( one is in the attic) and he said they were a lot of rat droppings and damage to the insulation and spray of their urine all over. He did not see any damage to the unit or cords up there but lots of feces. He took pictures and it was gross. So I called a few companies out to get an estimate and Rick from Attic Projects was by far the most thorough with his assessment at looking at everything around the exterior of the house on the ground, the vents, the roof, and then spent a lot of time in the attic taking pictures and showing what the rats had done and vents that were not secured and damage to the duct insulation, but not the ducts. He found one rat trap with a decomposed rat and another with part of the tail, and 2 more that were tripped but the rat got away. Urine tracks all over the pipes and other spots. And lots of old droppings and some that were fresher, but not any rats. A couple of my black plastic storage bags had been chewed into. My Rubbermaid tubs were intact. We have a large attic over the whole 2nd story of the house except the living room. Rick was thorough with his estimate and yes it is costly, but the company gives a Veterans discount, and they offer financing. It is quaranteed for 10 years. It will be a 5 day project and he went into all the steps of the procedure. I had questions after he left and then with paperwork, and Rick would call or text me back promptly. He has been a pleasure to work with and very knowlegeable about the business. They will seal all the possible entrances the rats can get in, including going on the roof to seal those too. Another company said, "Oh no, We don't go on the roof." Those were the places I knew for sure they came in. Their prep work for when they start the project is more than you could ask for to keep you safe and the rest of the house from these contaminants. The job is suppose to start in a few weeks and I am looking forward to it. Especially since Rick said right now is not the time rats want to be in the attic so we can get it done before they do. I highly recommend Rick as he will be very thorough and answer all your questions. read more

We just completed our attic project with Attic Projects and are thoroughly pleased with the results and dealings with each and every person in the process. Originally we had heard scampering on our bedroom ceiling in the early morning. Then there were the tell-tale signs of droppings in and around the attic. Project Manager Nick came out for a free estimate and evaluation; he took pictures and confirmed at least one rodent had been making this his home. Nick was courteous, professional and spent a lot of time with us prior to signing the contract. We knew we were dealing with the right company from this interaction. He called us the next day to review and schedule the upcoming work... and quarterbacked each step, keeping us in the loop. As far as we are concerned, we got the "A-Team" with Gio and David. On their first two days, they cleaned out and removed all the existing batting and vacuumed up all the remaining debris. Afterwards they sanitized the entire attic w a medical grade, safe sanitation product. To be truthful, the inside looked as clean as the day it was built! Before leaving they sealed up every possible point of entry with mesh and set 6-7 large traps. The next morning about 5:15am we heard the snap. And it was a big one. Another Project Manager, Matt, came out on a weekend (on his way to a family event) to collect the rat and do cleanup before the next step in the process, "Quality Control." Jakob performed QC to make sure all the work to date had been performed properly and to verify there were no longer any indications of activity or infestation. There were not. Today we were pleased to see Gio and David arrive early to begin sealing the vents, ducts and can lights so no air or insuation/dust would leak into the home and blow in the new cellulose insulation. David worked the machine in the truck, dutifully loading the insulation and Gio crawled throughout the attic carefully blowing it in. Gio was cognizant of any concerns we may have had and was careful to address them. Both were polite and professional, hardworking representatives of Attic Projects. We would welcome them back anytime. My wife and I are so thankful for the great work and will rest well knowing we have a 10-year warranty. Overall, my experience with Attic Projects was positive. The initial consultation with the project manager was clear, informative, and professional. He offered great recommendations to improve our home, and based on his insights, we decided to move forward with the project. The project was scheduled to be completed over five days, though it was planned as a two-day job. One area of disappointment was the lack of communication from the project manager after scheduling. There was no follow-up during or after the work, which would have been helpful, especially since a few issues arose that I would have liked to discuss. On the first day, a crew of three arrived. They were polite and professional but only worked a half day, stating that was all that was needed for the day. However, the second day was much more intense. A different crew of three arrived, followed by three additional team members. It was clear the scope of work left required more manpower than originally planned, which suggested some miscommunication or poor scheduling. The contrast between the light workload on the first day and the demanding second day was noticeable. That said, I was impressed by how the team came together to finish the job. Everyone worked hard and stayed for a full 12-hour day to get it done. Their professionalism and dedication stood out. A special shoutout goes to Erik, the handyman, who went above and beyond. He not only addressed a couple of smaller issues that came up during the project but also returned a few days later to fix a larger problem that had emerged toward the end. I had a big raccoon problem and I came across the Attic Projects Website. After doing some research I decided to call them for an estimate. Jerod came to the house and conducted a very thorough investigation of the problem. He spent one and a half hours accessing the damage he explained what he found, took pictures of the damage and explained in detail what needed to be done to correct the problem. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. This took place on a Wednesday and Friday we started the job. Friday morning a crew of 4 men showed up on time and ready for work. They worked diligently from 8 am till 5:00pm. They removed the animals, cleaned out storage in the attic, removed old installation, cleaned and sanitized the whole attic and installed new installation. They also replaced all the screens checked the roof secured any openings that they could see and sealed everything up. They wore white suits and booties and covered everything in the house with plastic that needed to be covered. When the job was complete, they removed every piece of garbage, swept the driveway and the garage everything was spotless. Their techs put on SHOE COVERS!!! I'm always skeptical calling a construction vendor. Just knowing that many over charge or pressure sale. I won't mention any names,long story short, I ended with Attic Projects. Luckily I made this decision and called Attic Projects (on the Yelp reviews they seemed legit). Kaylee the dispatcher was nice and was able to schedule a tech to arrive within the next day of my call. Josh the tech actually put on shoe covers before he entered my house. He was knowledgeable and didn't try to pressure sell me. He could of charged more for a attic fan that didn't start at first but then showed me that it did work after he replaced the faulty capacitor. A crew of 5 guys came to clean out my old insulation. They did it quickly and professionally and it looked exactly like josh showed me on the pictures. They rodent proofed the attic and the house perimeter, air sealed as promised, they showed me pictures of the attic and kept me in the loop the whole day. I felt like I was a part of the crew haha! I would highly recommend Attic Projects in Orange County. We had a rodent issue that had found its way into our air ducts through various avenues and had made a huge mess of our attic. Phillip came out and spent about 2 hours thoroughly going through our house from top to bottom. When he finished he sent multiple pictures along with the quote. We had multiple companies quote the project and Attic Projects was the only one to take any pictures which is one of the many reasons we chose them. On the day the project began Phillip sent me the contact info of the project lead (Jacob) who also called me and let me know when they would arrive. The crew Jacob, Jakob, and Mike made sure my house was kept clean blocking off everything to keep dust and dirt out of the rest of my house. They went above and beyond to make sure nothing was getting back into my attic from above or below my house. The entire crew was great to work with and walked me through each step, found areas I didn't see that needed to be rodent proofed and finished up the job by pulling out their dust vac and vacuuming my house- love that! During Covid-19 our building became infested with rats who left the neighborhood restaurants and made a home on our property. We wanted a humane resolution to get the rats out of the building and prevent them from getting back in. The Attic Projects team came out, were professional and were able to resolve our issues. One and a half years later I called back to see if they could now remove the excluders and permanently seal the open entry points now that we no longer had rats in the building. I was hoping this was covered under the warranty, and the company honored the work with no charge. Realizing that people are fast to write reviews that are negative, I wanted to ensure that I recognized a couple of the employees who helped in this work. Juan was sent out today to complete the warranty work. Such an incredibly nice guy who was so nice and thorough in his work, taking time to answer every question I had. I don't usually write reviews, but i am today. I called Attic Project and Doug was at our home the same day.There were rats in the attic. I had called another company just a few days prior and they inspected, gave me a bid then told me that the usual one year warranty would not apply unless i got my neighbor, we have a duplex, to agree for them to do the work on their house. Doug promised a 5 year warranty without doing any work on the neighbor's house. Doug was professional and very clear in explaining our situation. Attic Projects would, rat proof our attic, remove old insulation and install new insulation after cleaning and sanitizing the attic. They are not perfect, one of the new guys put his foot through our ceiling, but they promised to fix it. The fix wasn't that great and we weren't happy with it. Here is where Austin came to our rescue. This young man is so professional and did an OUTSTANDING repair job. We can't say enough good things about him. He takes pride in his work and Attic Projects is fortunate to have him as their empolyee.
