It did taste better after I added mustard and vinegar, but it was not the taste I usually find in cold noodes. Seokuh sulluntang ($20.99) - this was probably the winner. Came with some noodles and a ton of meat inside. Super filling and I think it can definitely be a soothing dish for a cold day or if you're feeling under the weather. Workers were friendly enough. Instead of showing any understanding or hospitality, the owner told me to leave the restaurant and wait in the coffee shop next door. I was shocked because I had every intention of purchasing food. I wasn't causing a disturbance or asking for anything unreasonable. The way I was spoken to and treated made me feel embarrassed, unwelcome, and honestly as though I was being judged before I was even given a chance to order. I left feeling humiliated. Customer service is about treating people with basic kindness and respect, and unfortunately, that was completely missing during my visit. I won't be returning, and I hope the owner learns that a little compassion can make a huge difference in how customers are treated.

We've previously tried their cold noodles, galbi, hot stone bimbimbap, tofu soup and seafood pancake. All are pretty good but the cold noodle is our favorite. This time we ordered their fishcake kimbap and the cold noodle and galbi combo. I previously saw photos of their kimbap but didn't see it on their menu until now so I was excited to try it. It comes with 20-24 pieces and a side of soup, quite a lot actually for one person. The kimbap was as expected, it was flavorful, had a slight crunch (from the pickled radish) and didn't fall apart easily while eating. It comes with a dipping sauce but it wasn't particularly noteworthy and I didn't feel it is required to use. The cold noodles were a bit different this time but overall had the same flavor. It comes with half an egg, pickled vegetables, slices of cucumber, and slices of meat in an icy broth with buckwheat noodles. Be sure to add the mustard and vinegar for added flavor. The side of galbi was as expected, but doesn't arrive sizzling like at many other Korean restaurants. The flavor can vary, sometimes more flavorful than other times but overall it still pairs well with the cold noodle. Service can be a bit spotty, especially when they only have one server doing everything. It can be hard to flag someone down so be prepared to sit around for a while if they have less staff and many customers. Overall not a dealbreaker but just something to be aware of.

I come here often. The mala xiang guo and guobaorou are always good, but this time I wanted something warm and gentle. I've already tried their whole chicken dish and wanted something a bit lighter, so I ordered the seafood crispy rice soup. I was feeling under the weather, and this was exactly what I needed. The chicken-based broth was so comforting that I finished everything--including the extra rice--with nothing left to take home. It was delicious and actually helped me feel better. My friend and I came back for a second visit because we wanted to make sure the food was really as good as we remembered--and yes, it absolutely was! I particularly like the kimchi flavor--I think it's the best tasting one I've had in a restaurant. I still am not used to the beef soups being bland though. Maybe it's supposed to be that way. The staff was friendly and let gave the kids a pen to write on their wall. They remind me of the Korean moms/aunts who work tirelessly in the kitchen to make sure their guests have the best quality food. Will go back there for more when we are in the area again.

My husband found this little hole in the wall on Yelp. Inside this little tiny place are a handful of tables. The space itself is a bit cramp and small. When we came in, we were greeted by an older gentleman. He was slowly making his way to help this other table. He also tried to clear a table when we saw us. We ended up deciding to sit at a small table on the wall in one of the corners. The table itself needed some cleaning (I actually carry disinfectant wipes in my purse and took one out to wipe down the table because there was red splashes of maybe soup that was on the table and napkin dispenser). The menu is on a large banner at the front of the restaurant, right above the kitchen and there is also another menu on the wall. After looking it over, we ended up ordering: Complementary Banchan- We had 6 different little dishes brought to our table. I did like the variety. Of the 6, I liked the potato the best, but it was a little soggy and oily though. Beef Rib Soup, $20.99 prior to tax- My husband ordered this dish and he enjoyed it. I didn't have any at all. This dish also came with a side of rice (you can choose between steam white rice or purple rice, my husband picked the purple rice). There wasn't that much meat in this dish. Clam Noodle Soup, $18.99 prior to tax- Honestly after looking over the menu, nothing really called me to order. So I just picked this dish, but there was definitely a lot of clams in this soup dish. I liked the flavor of the soup, as it was not too salty and had a nice clean taste. There were glass noodles in the soup which was nice to have some starch with my meal. ------------------------------ (Total= $44.18 after tax, prior to tip) Service was very slow, as the man helping with the table service has a limp and you can see has trouble getting around. This did not bother us as we understood the man was not able to move faster (and honestly we were not in a hurry). There is only one woman inside the kitchen, whom I am assuming is the wife of the man. She took our order. When the man brought over our water and banchan, I do no think he was able to get to the corner where we were sitting so he placed those items next to the table next to us and we just slid it over to our table. We were never really checked on if we needed water or any refill on the banchan, but again, I am just going to give the benefit of the doubt that because the man was not able to get over to us, he just wasn't really able to see if we needed anything. Overall, I think my experience was just okay. I do love hole in the wall restaurants and this place definitely delivers. But I am just not convinced with the food. But my husband did like his meal and would come back but I don't think I would (also we are not in this area in general and only really visit Gardena and the South Bay maybe a few times a year).

The worst part is isn't actually even over there must've been a table of 20 across from us celebrating a birthday and they were there before we were and they must have been served at least an hour after us and the waitresses were so rude to them.
