Wow, Aubergine's catering really does a disservice to this restaurant. I work nearby and had a catered meal around when they first opened up a few years ago. It was really dried out and turned me off from ever actually going to the restaurant. Last week some friends wanted to get lunch nearby, and they picked Aubergine. I wasn't looking forward to eating there, but I decided I might as well give it another shot. Walking in and looking around I was confused on where to even start. Luckily a friend was there to point me where to go. From looking at other reviews, it seems like this is a common issue for new people. I ordered a Chicken Coconut Curry bowl and a drink. The curry bowl was pretty large. Full of delicious chicken, turmeric rice, potatoes, carrots, peas, chick peas, and probably something else I'm forgetting. I thought the sauce was really good and they gave just the right amount of it so that each bite has some in it, but the entirety dish doesn't turn into a soup. The fresh juice costs $2.50, or $3.75 if you want to refill it. I had the berryish one, and while it was good it felt pretty expensive for no refill. They also throw in a single cheese bread. It was good, but didn't really fit in with the rest of the curry meal. The food was great. The atmosphere was also pretty good. Too many places in this area make their buildings really loud (I've heard it's to make it sound like more is "going on"). You can't have a conversation in half these places during the busy lunch hour, but at Aubergine I could hear everyone I was with just fine. I'll definitely be coming back in the future to try out some of the other items on the menu, even with the steeper than usual price. read more

The only reason I'm not giving this a one star is because the food is good. The service is absolutely abysmal. They are impossible to work with every single time I'm there. I feel like they hate me every single time I walk in. I just wish they could give me exactly what I ask for instead of making an insane scene for the entire store to watch Every single time I order. They charged me $18 today for a bowl of rice and steak and then a salad because they don't offer side salads and they said they had to charge for a full salad with a side of steak and rice. Everything is light, healthy, tasty and nutritious. Huge variety on their menu and lots of vegetables. They have the option to create your own too so even the pickiest eater will take pleasure in eating there. If you're adventurous the options are pretty much endless. First when I usually go out I want Mexican food for fattening pizza I don't want healthy. That just sounds boring but this place is most definitely not. My husband and I both got the same thing and we both loved it. We got the Thai bowl and got it with chicken instead of tofu. Next time we will be sharing because the portions are massive. We did take out over the app and instantly got a text and email with order confirmation and then a second text about 10 minutes later letting me know it was ready and the just text back the word here to that number when you were in the parking lot and they would bring it out. Parked my car and sent the text and no joke I only waited two minutes after sending the text by the time they had it out to me. So easy, fast, and convenient. This is an interesting little restaurant. It's not vegan, but it does give off a vegan vibe. Plenty of fresh offerings. I got the tri-tip and grilled onion sandwich, which was just that - tri-tip and grilled onions. The meat was good, the onions were perfect, and it comes in a house-made pita bread pocket. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that I would have liked some sort of greens stuffed in there as well - spinach or something. Maybe some feta cheese. When a restaurant is near empty but you still have to wait 5+ mins for someone to realize you are there it is not a great start to me. However once I was greeted the ordering went fine. Having not been here before I checked the menu before I walked in and had already decided on the Greek Salad. I planned to ask for half chicken and half falafel (menu says to chose one) and they kindly obliged. I also ordered an energy ball. The salad was great! Plenty of dressing and flavor. This will be so brief. There is healthy food here. It is expensive. Thankfully this was a work breakfast and I didn't spend anything. There was a green smoothie that was pretty decent. I imagine that it would turn into gasoline afterward if you let it heat up. But right when it came to me I was okay with it. I had a chicken breakfast panini. With wheat bread I think? What's that about? Guess what, nothing spectacular. That is such a plain tasting type of bread. No thank you. Not a lot of flavor in the sandwich it tasted like, wheat bread. I was deeply disappointed with their food. Save your money and go get traditional gyros from Arby's. The chicken was super dry and tough and the pita was hard and crumbly. I opened the wrapper and found a mess of a meal (see photo). When you pay $8 for a pita, I would expect the pita to not crumble when you touch it and the chicken to be juicy, not jerky. I don't give many 1 star reviews being a business owner myself I understand the Importance of Yelp Reviews and I usually give the benefit of doubt unless it's truly that bad. Unfortunately this was one of the worst levels of customer service I've experienced in years. Keep in mind I've have logged over 15k in air miles in the last 9 months while visiting seven states and over 40 out is state establishments. Their employees lack of work ethic, customer service and etiquette was astounding. As an owner you need to lead your business.
