With how popular this place is, we had to check it out! My friends and I were really excited to try good seafood. This place did not disappoint! We had excellent, fresh catfish and shrimp. It was beautifully grilled and seasoned. It came with a sweet baked potato and one of the best hushpuppies you'll ever have! The best part is their fixins bar. This self serf area provides you unlimited sides like baked beans, cornbread, potato salad, baked cinnamon apples, broccoli salad, pickled beets, grits, and more! Finally, they have an area dedicated to making fresh cinnamon rolls. This again is included and as much as you want. Let me tell you, this is insane. Easily the best part of the whole place! These are so soft and fresh, and you can watch staff make them and apply icing right in front of your eyes! This restaurant passes the credit card merchant transaction fee to their customers. Our server had no care for where we would like to sit and helped others just after we arrived. We were seated near the front when betters seats were available. Very noisy in a high traffic area. Absolutely no ambiance in this restaurant. Too many people crowded in a small space. Food is good, however this pricing is getting out of hand. To share a meal is $13 now, their Father's Day buffet was $40 a person and their overall menu seems to have gone up a bit. Ate here a few months ago and it was $60 for my wife and I. I came back with my dad for Fathers Day and after seeing the prices I decided not to eat. To my surprise there was an "order processing fee" on the bill. They charge you $1.08 per person to "process" your order. 3% card fee seems wild in current times but maybe I'm wrong. It was $39.41 for just my wife, $55.89 after tip.(18%) Used to love this place but probably won't be back since it's not gonna be like $100 for my wife and I. Also, it was very hot inside, and loud. Volume isn't their fault but definitely something to note. Getting seated was a nightmare as well. They gave me a 90min wait time. So I told my parents to meet me there in like 30/45. Then they tell me my table is ready 22 minutes in. Not an issue, my fault my party isn't here. So I let them know the situation and they say "no worries, we will keep you at the front of the wait list. Just let us know when your whole party is here". Turns out they some out accidentally took us off the wait list... any who, food is great, the rest not so much. read more

We have been coming here for 48 years and I have to say this last visit was a serious disappointment. There was no cinnamon in the cinnamon rolls so it was just sugar, no dark meat on the turkey and the ham was tiny pieces the poached eggs had no yolks not quite sure how they managed that And the waitress did not go out of her way all this for $76 including tip for two people for brunch. This is a large rest with impressive views of the water. We were seated rather quickly and our sever Alex took drink orders quickly. I ordered some unsweetened ice tea, the catfish filets and a bowl of New England clam chowder. Sadly the tea was not unsweetened, and I am a bad diabetic. The sugar in the tea made my sugar go up rather fast and I wasn't able to eat even a few more bites of food. I told Alex that he brought me sugared ice tea and he didn't seem all that concerned. He did replace it, but by then the damage was already done. I ended up leaving without eating. I informed them I was not feeling well and so I got stuck with a $60 bill for food that was uneaten by me or my dining companion and a manager who couldn't care less about it. The food looked good. This is the 4th time here & the 2nd time we drove from Tampa specifically to get catfish. Now the dark catfish that came out of the Tennessee river, when I was a boy, is a thing of the past, but Aunt Catfish's fry's the best farm-raised catfish around. I couldn't make up my mind so I got fried catfish & fried clams. The clams are not bad but the catfish is just so good I should have gotten two helpings. They have a sides bar, which comes with most meals & it gets the job done. The ambience is great as you are , literally, sitting on intercoastal waters between Port Orange & Daytona Shores Beach. My granddaughter thought her leftover catfish heated in the air fryer. The next day was better than what we got at the restaurant for dinner. This restaurant has deteriorated without the salad bar. It's been 3 years since we've been here for brunch and while the price has gone up quite a bit (currently $26.99) , if you get seated before 10am you'll save $5/pp. Advice: They open at 9 but get there by 8:45 at the latest and you'll be immediately seated and one of the first in line for the omelets, pancakes, French toast station, and you'll have little to no wait. If you don't get there before the place fills up, the line gets VERY long, and you might consider skipping it since the line can be 20+ minutes. The chefs do a great job of prepping those items, but it just takes time. I saw a number of people getting their buffet food and THEN getting in the omelet line. That's backwards, as you'll end up having cold buffet food. Their website unfortunately doesn't list of what's on the Sunday Brunch, which I found frustrating due to having picky and GF people in our group, so I decided to post a complete list of what's on the buffet. So, here goes... Omelet station with traditional options, various kinds of cooked to order pancakes and French toast. The buffet sections will have pickled beets, broccoli salad, cinnamon stewed apples, cheese grits, baked beans, cornbread, potato salad, cole slaw, biscuits and sausage gravy, poached eggs, fish chowder, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, hash brown casserole, corned beef hash, bacon, sausage, cornbread stuffing, chicken and waffle skewers, hush puppies, catfish fillets, catfish fingerlings, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and sweet potato casserole. For desserts, you'll find guava bites, apple fritters, fudge brownies, banana pudding, apple spice cake, sugar free strawberry dessert, peach cobbler, bread pudding, chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, pretzels and marshmallows, and of course their famous cinnamon rolls. It's still a great deal, even if all you got was an omelet, bacon, sausage and cinnamon rolls. My favorite items were the expertly prepared omelet and hummingbird pancakes, and the catfish fillets. I was surprised that I actually liked the apple fritters better than the cinnamon rolls. The service was excellent. Always had plenty of beverages, and our server kept our table clear of used dishes. Been years since we've been here and food seems exactly the same. Salt and pepper catfish is our favorite and we do love the boat sinker pie. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. Only thing I wasn't thrilled about is the small buffet of various items. Always feel like cattle cramming around a trough if at one of these and esp so since Covid. Is also more pricey than when we last ate here as is pretty much everything these days. All I'm all, view is great, food and servers were good, and dessert was delicious. Everything was really good, little buffet of sides with corn bread, baked beans, cheese grits, and potato salad were all good.
