I stopped by this location two weeks ago as I was in need of something to aid in relaxation while not overindulging. When walking into the establishment, one is greeted with a cloud of cannabis in the air. While I did not come to this location for cannabis, I did come for a CBD infused daiquiri. CBD contains no THC, and therefore will not get you high, it will still deliver some of the effects of sedation and relaxation. I specifically was seeking a CDB infused drink for the following reasons: 1-Relaxation and stress relief. CBD may promote a sense of calmness and relaxation, potentially helping people manage stress and anxiety. 2-Anti-inflammatory effects. CBD has been studied for its potential anti-inflammatory properties, which could help people who live with chronic pain due to conditions like arthritis. My drink: Keep Austin Weird This daiquiri has a punchy sour apple flavor with a tart after taste. Initially, the drink seemed to be a little light on the alcohol but mid way through the daiquiri, the libations seemed to come alive. Such a fun spot & Really friendly service + amazing daiquiris! All of the flavors are unique and tropical! They offer main 3 sizes the small, medium, large. I ordered the large Sneaky Link daiquiri ($14) I love that the add ons such as CBD drops, shots and candy! This place was such a vibe with good music and people. The drinks are fantastic! You'll definitely need an uber or Lyft if you're having more than one. You are also able to take them to go if needed. The daiquiri shop is combined with Sam's BBQ. Btw, Sam himself came and talked to me and my friends and he was a hoot. Definitely reminded me of my family. The place is not super big, but it seats enough. The good thing about the place is that if you get hungry, you don't have to walk far to get some good food. The worker who took my drink was extremely nice. She brought all of our drinks to the table. The drinks are strong, so again, I recommend uber or Lyft. Flavors are delicious and the prices are reasonable. read more

LOVED Austin Daiquiri Factory when I went to try it out. I tried the Texas Massacre and it was so good. It wasn't too sweet or artificial tasting. It was honestly the perfect mix of flavors. My friends got The Texan and the Canada Connect and they loved their drinks too. The owner and the employee working there were super friendly and made the experience even better. This place is definitely great for hanging out with friends. I liked how theres an indoor and outdoor space. You can even take your daiquiri to go. ADF is our go-to! Bad day at work? ADF. Good day at work? ADF. Just a day in general? ADF. I love that we can order online, and it's usually ready well before the promised time! They have a ton of fan favorite specialty combinations, or you can create your own, and they have options for lots of add-in's like candy, extra shots, CBD, etc. They also have jello-o shots, and boy howdy are they strong! Woo! 10/10 recommend them, and they are the cheapest, and biggest, in town!! They actually have a nice HH too, which usually draws in in the afternoon, and subsequently ends up putting us in bed early because your order that mega size thinking you'll be alright, and then it hits ya! Don't say I didn't warn you! Each and every single time I have gone there to pickup my order, not only the staff, but the other customers have been so friendly and welcoming. It's located within the patio of Sam's BBQ, and there is a TON of history here! If you have the time, take a seat and stay a while, and the owner and his family are bound to pop up, and would be happy to chat with you and tell you all kinds of great stories about the history there. read more

Yes. You should come here for a daiquiri. Yes you will enjoy it. Come and grab you a drink and support local business. The spot is pretty nice. They have an inclosed sitting area with an outdoor door. AS WELL AS, a BBQ point, that looks amazing, connected to it. Went with the Pina colada, and boy. This alcohol is a lot of drink. I originally went with the medium for $12 but decided to change it up and get the large for only $2 more. and boy let me tell you. I didn't realize daiquiris were for everyday drinking but I am very into it. When I have an afternoon beer, I usually feel sluggish, but an afternoon frozen adult beverage actually gave me a little more pep in my step. I picked mine based on the flavors vs the liquor, but I don't think you can go wrong either way. When that Texas heat strikes, this place will surely be swarming. The only thing I'm not into is the styrofoam, but not sure any other material can handle the oomph required of this kind of hefty treat. read more

Until recently I was a fan of this place and have enjoyed their daiquiris in person and through Door Dash, but my last two orders were nothing more than a bunch of ice and no liquor at all. I don't know what's going on there, but it's definitely not acceptable. I have been waiting with baited breath for the Austin Daiquiri Factory to premiere. After exiting Marshall's Barber Shop, lookin' like the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I headed on over to Sam's BBQ across East 12th Street. This was my first visit so I needed the assistance of the young lady to help me decide what to order. I decided on a medium Long Island Ice Tea daiquiri. Let me tell you, I always say 'refreshments with authority' but these daiquiris have 'authority' beyond measure. Wow! This place is amazing! My husband was chatting about this spot and that he heard it's amazing. And since we were in the area, we stopped in. There's a menu of drink options posted where you order but I knew I needed some suggestions. They were quick to provide some tips, and let me tell you, the suggestion did not disappoint. The TI is delicious if you like Long Islands with some citrus flair. Would absolutely get again. My husband and I shared the large. The perfect size to split - tasty and strong. Next time, we'll probably order one each to try something new. On top of the delicious drink, the staff is incredible. So nice! Fast service, strong drinks. All good things. They redid the seating recently and it makes a lot of difference. Ive tried a lot of their daiquiris, and I think the ones with strawberry are my favorite. The rest the boozy taste comes through more, I feel like. Very hole in the wall, but in the way that makes you feel like you're just on someone's porch. Not sure how else to explain it. Also the Jell-O shot syringes aren't anything crazy but it's fun if you want a lil something read more

While this was the first time I went to Austin Daiquiri Factory, it for sure won't be the last. Walking into the covered patio area, you're immediately met by the genuine warmth of their employees. I picked up their mix of Pinda Colada, strawberry, and orange and was blown away at the flavor and balance (while still packing a solid alcohol punch). Alright y'all.... This is coming from someone who grew up around and had more than his fair share of legitimate Louisiana daiquiris. You will not find a better daiquiri outside of Louisiana than what these folks make. They have built a small indoor/outdoor patio area built off the side of Sam's BBQ. We went in on Friday night around 7PM. They had some great music playing and a chill vibe. My wife and I ordered two daiquiris (she got a medium and I got a large). Mine was the Congressman with Octane, Peach and Pineapple if memory serves. Both of our daiquiris were extremely tasty with that perfect texture you look for in a well-made daiquiri, smooth as silk and not icy. Needless to say, we had a good time and that one large was enough to ensure that I had a damn good night. I'm so glad we have a place like this in town and I can't wait to go back to see if they have the hurricane (my personal favorite) flavor available this time. This was my second time at the Austin Daiquiri Factory and both times I had a great experience. The employees are super cool and patient with working with you to make sure you get the best drink possible. I got a mix of pina colada, strawberry, and orange and I could taste pieces of strawberry coming up through my straw. The perfect way to refresh after being out in the hot Texas heat! This place is AWESOME! It's rare to find a well made daiquiri in the U.S., but these drinks will make you feel like you're at a resort in Mexico. They have tons of flavor options, they don't skimp on the booze, and you're getting a lot of bang for your buck. The staff is so kind and helped me work around an allergy. Oh, and did I mention you can get a half-gallon daiquiri, TO GO!? This would be a perfect stop on a bachelor/bachelorette trip, or a food tour of the East Side. You cannot find a more affordable, delicious and friendly place for frozen mixed drinks in Austin. Can't believe I didn't know this place existed! It's my new favorite place to grab a beverage as you can even grab one to go. The owner was helpful and nice and the bang for your buck is incredible!! I went during hippie hour which meant two dollars off all drinks and free CBD drops. Most fruity blended drinks are weak not these! This place will get you tipsy without breaking the bank! I got a Dirty Sixth, which is a Pina Colada with a tangy twist. Can't wait to come back and try all the delicious flavors! You can even build your own. They also have alcoholic gummies and Jell-O shots- you would think this would give you a massive hangover but because they use real fruit juice I was pleasantly surprised at this wasn't the case. I love this place. The hospitality is amazing, never had a long wait, and the music is dope too. Today they were out of a flavor I ordered online, and they immediately called me and asked what else they could get me, I said it was okay, but they still surprised me and upsized my drink at no extra cost. The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. It's an industrial, warehouse vibe with a long counter that screams hip, Tokyo inspired, late-night eatery. Service is impeccable and welcoming at this cosmopolitan venue. It's truly an amazing experience.

I was pretty bothered by my experience here. Even aside from their mid drinks, it felt like we were constantly chasing down servers and they were only attentive when they needed something from us. We went to the photobooth to take pictures before we sat down, but the machine ate my money and broke down. I let a server know, and he came back and said he would comp $20 off of our meal, which I was happy about. I honestly only wanted them to refund me my $10 for the photobooth strip. However, they came back a few minutes later and gave us a photo card and told us to use it to pay for the photobooth and it could be used an unlimited amount of times. I was also happy with this solution, but what happened afterwards left a bad taste in my friends' and my mouth. We hadn't gotten menus or been asked what we wanted to order yet. We were just waiting around for drink menus and food menus, so we didn't want to get up and go take photos when they might come back to take our orders. The manager (?) came back to me a few minutes later and asked if we had taken photos yet, and I let him know that we were waiting to be given menus. He said someone else would give us menus, and another server gave us only a drink menu. A few minutes later, we are still waiting for food menus. The same manager came back and asked us to not lose the photo card. At this point, we were frustrated. Why come back constantly to ask for a photo card when we haven't even been given our food or our menus yet? When we finally got our food, a different server asked if we had given back the photo card yet. They were so pressed about getting this photo card back and not actually getting our orders, and we also thought it was a bit distasteful to offer a solution (the $20 off the meal) but then go back on it with the photo card. It was presented as "unlimited" swipes but we were rushed to give the card back, and realistically, we only had enough time to take one set of photos. The drinks themselves were truly just okay. I don't think any of us were particularly impressed with our drinks, but the interior of Papercut is really nice and intimate.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

At $20 per drink, there is an expectation of professionalism and competence behind the bar. I literally thought that ordering a beer felt risky as she would surely mess it up. Then we were not checked on for about an hour, We finally ordered more drinks and then we never received them, We asked three different servers and were told several times that they were taking care of it and it was never taken care of, We left at 1:15 without ever getting our additional orders. One of the servers told us that the bar was crazy busy and that they were probably making our drinks and people at the bar were just taking them. So chaotic. We were finally helped by Heaven and Summer at the end around 1:00 a.m. when we asked to pay for our tab. Of course the tab was all wrong because it had all of the drinks we ordered that we never received. Again, chaotic. I felt bad for the birthday girl because she was really excited about being there for the first time with all of us and the experience was subpar at best. I will say, the best part was the DJ, HellaYella. And the jerk lamb chops. Sammie's has been hyped up on social media for a long time and I gotta say it's still underrated! I will gladly have Sammie's take the Pepsi challenge against red sauce joints in NYC/NJ etc. In fact, I've told friends and family that I am going to take them to Sammie's when they visit from there. The food was much better than I even anticipated - as a guy who grew up on NJ diner mozzarella sticks, I have a high bar for them and these were magnificent. And seriously...taking the "everything's bigger in Texas" slogan and applying them to mozzarella sticks?! top 10 achievements of the decade. The chicken parm was perfect - well seasoned, proper amount of crisp..the basil on top...the perfect browning of the cheese. Also the lasanga was excellent..and best part - the leftovers..took it home and the next two days put them in a small cast iron and re-heated them..and the magic was right there in my hill country kitchen! Lastly and certainly not least - the cannoli...just look at the photo below.. I'll say, yes, the place is pricey but you can really easily split these entrees and then it becomes cheaper than a jersey strip center Italian joint.
