PROS - Very knowledgeable. - They replaced O2 sensor that failed it was under warranty. -They changed front oil pump cover free of labor charge the thought was if they might have caused the crash that was in it causing it to leak oil. -After giving Auto House a bad review earlier,I received a call from them. They trying to make sense of my review. They admitted that the work done was longer than they wanted. (I was thankful that they called me, which I told her numerous times) -Since they have read my negative review, and know how I felt I was treated, it seems to me they are having a better attitude towards me, and taking a better interest in me. Which I greatly appreciated. If my Rover ever needs more work ,I may return. Definitely for warranty work. -At first I felt Darryl was arrogant and prideful, but now I see that he is an OK guy. He is better than I thought he was. Keep up the good work Darryl. Thanks for understanding. CONS -It took over 2 months to tell me what was wrong with my Rover. -They may not return parts back to you that you have asked them to return to you. I asked for my battery to be returned to me, and I never got it back. Which was a B.A.R. violation. -Some other violations I feel that they have taken were these: 1. A written estimate for the repair work to be done, or a tear down estimate. (I never received one until after the vehicle was returned to me. I had no idea what the bill amount was. Mine should have been a tear down estimate, for it was a complex issue.) 2. Return replaced Parts, if requested at the time a work order is placed. (I wasn't informed until April, 4 months after I dropped off my Rover to be worked on, that my battery was not any good. It would not hold a charge. I told him that I believed that the warranty through O'Reilly's, was still valid, so I wanted the battery kept. Upon picking up my Rover, six months after I dropped it off on December 22nd, 2015, when it was supposed to be done, I asked where it was. He just stated that many battery recyclers come through, so they gave it to them. Another excuse, like normal. Someone else's fault. -Others they may have violated our these. 1. On the B.A.R. website, it states that a tear-down estimate includes: 1. The price of the tear-down, including the price of reassembling the car or truck, and the price of replacing gaskets, seals, and other parts destroyed in the tear-down process. (I was charged for all the gaskets they used it was not included in the estimated price.) 2. The maximum time it will take the shop to reassemble the car or truck. I never received this on a written paper. I only received half a dozen verbal deadlines, numerous times. Which over and over again was never met. Until finally I did receive my vehicle. -After their teardown process the shop must write a second estimate which shows one. The estimated price for parts and labor for the recommended repair. 2. The parts required for the recommended repair. The shop will then contact you for permission to do the repairs. If you decide not to proceed with that work, they must reassemble the car at no for the cost and within the maximum time stated on the teardown estimate. At one time he got argumentative, and very heated when I brought up some issues. -Be prepared to be charged 5% to 15% more than the quoted price that you were given. -Be prepared ,if you have a more extensive issue with your car, to take a long time. I had a rebuilt engine installed, rewired harness, three new O2 sensors, new timing gear, and a quite a few misc. things done. It took from December 22nd 2015, too late October 2016 to get it fully finished. - On extensive issues, be prepared to get the end project date to drag on and. -You may not be informed when they say they will give it. Many many times I was told I would receive a phone call about the status of my vehicle, and would never receive it. I filed a BAR complaint for some issues I felt that they violated. The BAR representative said they did violate issues, but Auto House of Clovis said they did not. We'll just leave that as it is. - It seems they are very busy, which is good. But, since they are, it seems to me that it makes them not have enough time to treat their customers properly. Such as they promised to do something, but they are so busy with eaisier jobs, and other jobs with higher priority, that they can't get to yours. -If you know mechanic skills, you may be asked to perform some work on your vehicle yourself. Since they are very busy, they may want you to try to fix it. Over all though, I feel the trust that I felt that was broken down, is building back up. And, as stated at the begining, I will probably will return. read more

I had a huge issue with my car and had never done business with them before but I was desperate for a shop that I could depend on to fix my car and with good quality.... Well Auto House of Clovis stepped up and performed with excellence and great professionalism!! They dealt with my insurance claim for me and fought for me when the job was denied and in turn it got approved. They went over and beyond to help me and assist in something they could've thrown their hands up over. My car runs strong and have had no issues! I've been an auto house customer for the past 6-8 years. I've had them work on both foreign and domestic autos, jobs large and small. As a rule I've been very satisfied with our intereactions. My current issues is not with the quality of their work, but their lack of attention to their customers. It began last year when I had a particularly tricky issue with my Jaguar. The issue was of an electrical nature rather than a mechanical one involving a trial and error approach which was quit time consuming. All this was understandable, what was not understandable was my inability to reach Daryl for status reports. Often times it took multiple calls over multiple days before getting any answers. Ultimately I had to move the car to another shop to get the situation taken care of, there were no hard feelings regarding the situation and I promised Daryl he would still be my first call for any future problems. This week I tried to reach him to schedule an appointment for him to give a thorough look over of a car I'm purchasing. Again, multiple calls over multiple days without the courtesy of a return phone call. Sorry folks, but to me this is patently unacceptable. Darryl and Jaime, the owners of Auto House of Clovis, and their entire staff of technicians - guys you can actually carry on a conversation with, have been my go to service and repair facility for the last 8 years! They handle the smallest and most mundane of my requests to major problems. I have a collection of street and race cars as well as everyday transportation vehicles, cars and trucks. They range from the 1930's through my wife's 2010 Jaguar Supercharged XF. I am hard to please. Fortunately everyone at Auto House understands car nuts - we want our toy (car) back right now, performing properly and never want to hear the terrible statement, "We couldn't find the problem." After coming here on a very high recommendation, I am now $700 in the hole, and thoroughly disgusted with the way I was duped at Auto House. I asked for 2 things to be repaired, and one of them was not even touched upon my being called in to pick up the car - BUT IT WAS STILL ON MY BILL! The joke of a service man had a nice little chuckle when I spotted the mistake and told me he "got all wrapped up in the other problem" with the car. Apparently ONE issue with a car is too much for them to handle. He said I could bring it back later and it would only take 20 minutes. I live 30 minutes away, so I told him he could do it now, and I'd wait. He advised me to "go grab a soda" and it would be done upon my return. Although it still did not appear to be done, he assured me it was - come to find out a day later, HE DID NOTHING. This place is repulsive. Daryl and his team of mechanics are very helpful in assiting you with fixing your car and getting you in, out, and back to your normal everyday life. I have personally gone here with my 2000 vw jetta after it being wrecked and within 2 days everything was fixed from my radiator leaking to my broken headlights. I highly reccomend this automotive shop and will continue taking any of my vehicles and or any of my family and friends vehicles. All in all I would rate this place a 10/10 for great service, quickness, and overall peformance. I was traveling through the area and had a break-down. They waited two hours past closing for the tow truck to get me there, checked it out, ordered parts, secured the vehicle in their fenced area and drove me to a nearby motel! After I left the next day, the vehicle experienced a secondary problem. I had to be towed back again, and even though it was related, but not obvious with the original repair, apologized and made adjustments on the second billing to compensate for my inconvenience. The entire staff was friendly and communicative. I am definitely recommending this shop to all of my friends in the area and if ever I have a problem anywhere near them - Auto House of Clovis is where I will be heading! After filling my 06 Chrysler 300 up with gas car wouldn't start and had to leave it after pushing it to a parking spot. After reading up on the issue I went to the dealership about the problem and to little surprise they said they never heard of this issue even though it had been largely reported and was something the forums spoke of. They said it would be x amount just to start diagnosing and may end up just easier to replace the gas tank 1600 bucks or so. So I got a recommendation for the Auto House to which they found the bad fuel pump and only charged half hour diagnosis. Then they checked the filler neck due to slow fueling and reinstalled it where it no longer had problems. No extras just what is needed for the repair good people great service. read more

I am so fortunate to have Darrel and the Auto House team take care of my 1967 Camaro. Because of its age, they are very diligent in locating the car's problems. They genuinely care about giving their best service. Twice they went beyond their usual service. At the Clovis Costco gas station my Camaro died on me. Auto House of Clovis is great! I went in originally for an oil change, knowing my car would most likely also have a million other things wrong with it, and I was right! However, everyone at Auto House was absolutely wonderful, taking the time to explain to me exactly what was wrong with my car and never making me feel silly for asking questions. No job is to small or large. They don't don't do unnecessary repairs to just make a buck. They will actually tell you it doesn't need to be done. Of course I know nothing about cars, while explaining my vehicles problems to me they made sure that I understood what they were telling me and answered all of my questions fully. Excellent ! I took my car in for an evaluation. Drop of was organized and easy. The staff was friendly and professional. Once the evaluation was done they called and prioritized everything that was needed by urgency and what could wait. They even went through the dealer specifications on when the next service would be recommended so that I could plan ahead.
