I came across this place via Facebook advertisement and I'm glad I reached out. Robert gave me a great price on a dual exhaust job for my truck and the work was clean. The price and work was so good I brought my mustang back a few months later for exhaust work as well. Both times Robert was able to understand exactly what I wanted and the finished products turned out great. I was especially pleased with the work he did on my mustang in particular which was somewhat of a complicated labor intensive job and I'm still surprised on how clean the welds came out given the job I gave him. This place has an old school auto shop type feel which I enjoy and is hard to come across these days. All around great experience both times. I have referred several people since, will continue to do so and will bring my vehicles back in the future as needed. read more

I saw the previous rating and took my car to this business to fix the headlight and the steering pump. The steering makes a terrible sound and the light was never fixed. I have called the Office 4 times. I left a messages and talked to the owner. I was told the mechanic would call me back and that did not happen. So my headlight still does not work and the car still makes noise every time I turn the car. I give up. read more

Top notch place, Robert was very professional. He explained everything to me so I understood (not mechanically inclined). Super knowledgeable. Went in for a full exhaust. Robert and his team were good to me. Originally I went to them for a new cat. I came back to them to have my idler arms changed out, and then came back to them again for a brake job. Robert changed my brake pads, calipers, brake booster, brake lines and master cylinder. Great business and I'll be back again. read more

After taking my car to other local mechanics, I've either had basic maintenance that was done poorly (and had to take it back more than once), and/or more was more expensive than if had taken my car to the dealership. I'm an Uber driver who puts close to 800 miles A WEEK on my car. I love my car and want it to last as long as possible. Didn't get the name but very helpful and didn't charge me to check out if my car had any issues due to an aborted smog test, says all is fine. BEWARE!!! if you buy a groupon from this business. I bought a $36 groupon for a four wheel alignment on my minivan. In the fine print it said "additional fees may apply for larger vehicles like a SUV or truck." Ok, fine. No mention of a minivan in the fine print, so I was unsure if my vehicle is considered a "larger vehicle." I buy the Groupon thinking worst case scenario maybe a $10-15 upcharge on a $36 initial fee for a "larger vehicle." When I called to schedule appointment they said it would be a $30 additional fee. That nearly doubles the price of the groupon! Definitely a bait and switch in my opinion. They said "anything bigger than a four door sedan gets additional fee." WHY DON'T THEY SAY EXACTLY THAT IN THE GROUPON!! AND STATE WHAT THE ADDITIONAL FEE WILL BE!! Why is that so hard? That way I can decide if I still want to buy the groupon. They said well you're still getting a good deal. So they nearly double the price, but justify it by saying I'm still getting a good deal. Hilarious. One phone call later and I found a shop much closer to do for $70. Now I know $20-30 difference isn't the biggest deal, but for me it was the principle of the matter. I would never be able to trust this mechanic with my vehicle after this. Why not just be transparent and honest in your advertising and let the customer decide. If you have to trick customers to come into your business that likely says a great deal about the quality of your work. read more

I Scheduled brake repair....I had communicated the make and model of my car. When I got there they told me they didn't have the part--(plenty of time to have gotten it) ....He said if I wanted to have the work done....I would have to pay 3x the amount of the groupon for a "better part" that they did have. (they'd had plenty of time to acquire the part) When I mentioned "bait and switch" (something women have been subjected to from auto repair shops) ....the owner WENT OFF on me!!!..and threw me out. very scary experience!! read more

If I could give less stars I would... Let's talk about the positives first; they were able to get me in last minute after another shop i had an appointment with called me to reschedule and I didn't want to wait. Their price would have been very good, had they performed the job to expectations. However, when I asked to look at the work before they dropped the lift, I could already sense a little bit of an attitude. Upon completion, I was not satisfied with the job. While their welds looked good, they used the wrong size pipe causing the upstream side of the pipe to be choked down to a smaller inside diameter than the pipe it was attached to. This causes turbulence inside the pipe and backpressure at higher RPM. In addition, the exhaust on my car is stainless steel and the pipe they used was galvanized. When I told him (I'm assuming the owner) that it wasn't going to work for me and we need to do something different, he started trying to explain how "he's been doing exhaust for 15 years and that's the only way it can be done." When I told him that it's not right, he snapped on me and started cursing me out and telling me how my car, and I, were pieces of S*** and several other expletives indicative of someone that should NEVER be allowed to talk to customers. I've been involved with restoring and building hotrods and racecars for the better part of 35 years. I would have done the job myself but I don't have the equipment to weld stainless. I know how things are supposed to be done and this wasn't it. After a couple of minutes of him cussing me out, then following me out of the shop and making a feeble attempt at intimidating me by getting in my face and trying to flex, he kicked me out. I will now have to go to a reputable shop and have the work done properly, with the correct materials. Bottom line, if you have a beater car that you want fixed cheaply and you don't care about things being done the right way, this is probably a good bet. If you want quality work and a staff that has the slightest clue about customer service and doing things right, go elsewhere. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I had the most unprofessional experience involved at this location. I had called four times in total to reschedule an alignment due to their alignment machine supposedly breaking. The staff was rude and seemed to care less about my automotive needs. I made calls, made an appearance in person, and still nothing was done even when I had already payed for my alignment. Not to mention on my first visit the employees and the business reeked of marijuana. They tried to talk me out of receiving service by claiming "no one really needs an alignment, just new tires", to where my response included how my car pulls to one side and they refused my service by claiming my car could have other issues. They were not willing to work with my scheduling, my mechanical needs, and simply took my money with no concern to me as a customer. I left without getting my car fixed. If I could give a negative star I would. read more

I rarely take time to write reviews, but it's well deserved here. I was stranded last Friday in North Highlands with an expensive and near-new tire going flat overnight 2 days in a row for no apparent reason, and a non-functional AC in 100 degree temperatures -- when here to visit my 97 year old mom and drive her to various appointments. My 2004 VW Touareg had been regularly serviced, so these problems were a mystery. I tried to locate a garage that could handle both problems, and do so quickly, in the early morning. I ran into a wall of frustrating responses (can't do both repairs or can't do them until the next week), until I spoke to Automotive USA. At 8:00 AM they told me they were busy, but to come quickly and they'd try to make both repairs. I did, and was met with courteous attention while other repairs were set aside to assist me. In 90 minutes both problems were carefully diagnosed and repaired, and I was on my way. I'm a car nut, so I could see how efficient and effective the work was. And the cost was very reasonable. If you're looking for an auto repair shop with the integrity and know-how just like in the good old days, look no longer. As a single female with minimal knowledge of cars, of course I feel vulnerable when taking my car in for repairs, but this shop is no-nonsense, and you can feel confident that Mike and the guys will not recommend repairs that you do not need. So far I've had them do some gasket work, replaced my cracked radiator, as well as the power steering pump and rack and pinion thingie. All repairs were done quickly, competently, and at a very competitive cost. My 2002 Camry has 196,000 miles on it, and with this highly reputable shop in my corner, my goal is to get to 300,000 (if not 400,000) miles. read more

By far the worst auto mechanics ever. The changed out a water pump. Within a week, there were several ignition issues that came up. We brought it back, and were told it needed new spark plugs, wires and ignition coils. They mentioned that the throttle body should be replaced too. Finally they installed the wires and plugs but said a new ignition coil didn't solve the problem so they returned it to the vendor. Out the door we went after they charged $400 for plugs and wires, with the car running just as it had when we brought it there We took it to someone else who found that the coils had been broken during their attempt to repair and were arcing, the spark plugs they used were not spec'd for the car either, THEY chose a cheaper brand. To add insult to injury, after the car was repaired by another mechanic, I returned and informed them (my mistake) that we intended to file complaints with BAR, BBB and the Cal Bureau of Consumer Affairs, to which the owner reacted by threatening me with bodily injury if I didn't leave the premises. He gestured as if he was about to assault me, with his fist very close to my face, following me, but less than a foot behind. They do a fine job on their own American made 60's era Hot Rods, but are clueless about anything else. read more
