I bought my car from this company along with the extended warranty. The first time I required a repair covered under the warranty. I was given the run around, but got my car fixed. The second time I needed a repair, I was told that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. I am the most upset about this place for their poor customer service, and their eagerness to take the customer's money. I took my vehicle in for a repair two weeks ago. The staff was not wearing masks and not abiding by social distancing. I left a message with the manager about my concerns. I am yet to receive a phone call back. I understand that business have to make money, however, this business needs to own some responsibility to keep customers safe. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and AutoNation is acting careless and without a concern to the public. read more

Worst experience ever. Went in for my appointment and they were not ready. Came back and did the paperwork for the car but once we spoke to the finance manager Nicole, she instantly gave us attitude as soon as we declined insurance for the vehicle. Pretty sure she was upset since it would've helped her out. Left with the vehicle and came back 4 days laters to find out the paperwork wasn't even finished. I am very disappointed with their service department. The air was not flowing and A/C was not working on my Prius. They told me a servo needed to be replaced and were quoting me $1700. Supposedly the part was only $170 so the rest was labor. I decided to get a second opinion with another auto service company and it ended up being that my cabin filter and ventilation system were dirty. And my car was all fixed, air flowed and A/C worked for $160. In my opinion they are not good at diagnosing the problem. I will recommend to get a second opinion and not trust their knowledge, specially if they are quoting over $1K for a job. read more

They are absolutely clueless. Tried to purchase a vehicle from them. First it was available; then another sales guy told me it was sold. A week later I found it on their website again and called them. It was available, so they said. I was working with a nice-enough guy who wasn't particularly good at following up but seemed somewhat helpful...just to find out when we finalized the out-the-door price that it was sold again. I picked up my Toyota from AutoNation Toyota today and it was making a strange noise and vibration after my repair and recall was complete. I drove right back and they were already closing up but Juan, a service tech supervisor, took a look and mentioned an issue I would never have thought of (which was nobody's fault) and he tightened my running boards for me and saved the day!! I thought I was going to have to go back tomorrow at 7 a.m. and complain about an issue that wasn't there when I dropped it off but was when I picked it up. Power Toyota advertises $4000 above book for your trade, an admitted lie! Out shopping for a new Scion, knew what I wanted, knew that the dealers don't discount the sticker and was going to buy Saturday, heard about the trade offer and Power was the closest dealer to my home making this an easy choice. Picked my car, left my trade for an hour so they could get their numbers together. When I returned the salesman's manager asked if I would take $42k for my trade, i indicted that my research shows the car at $46k wholesale plus the advertised offer of an additional $4k gets me to $50. I also told him that i would be reasonable as they had the car i wanted and had other things to do rather than shop. He explained that there are several sources to get book value and admitted my vehicle had a book value of $44k and that the advertised offer is only honored if they can afford to do so. Hmmmm I don't remember that part of the ad? Went to Earnhardt in Tempe and found same car and got $47k for my trade, in the 2 hours after I left Power and was delivered my new Scion at Earnhardt I received 2 calls from Power upping their offer. Hey Power, It wasn't about the money as much as it was your ethics, I've been in the valley for 5 years and have bought 11 cars for my family and myself, I would have been a good customer. read more

I come from a very long line of Toyota drivers and I was so happy to become apart of that legacy. I would never recommend this dealership as it would frustrate anyone. Everyone is very friendly, but ultimately that is a part of their job to be customer service oriented. However, as far as holding them accountable to get the loan funded or to get paperwork in on time, be prepared to be delayed. It took an entire month for the finance representative to get my loan funded because he was lazy and careless. This delayed promised funding which the sales manager never bothered himself to follow up with. Emails and voicemails went days without being followed up with and sometimes weren't returned at all. It is clear that customer service is not a priority to them as they had no urgency in getting anything completed until it came to the last day of the month and they wanted their money from the bank. I would advise to steer clear of this dealership. read more

I purchased a small piece of vehicle trim for the drivers side mirror that probably came off in a car wash from Tempe Autonation end of June/20 after a,sales person assisted ordering the part. After several attempts to install at home gave up. Part should should have just clipped on. The intent was at a future service to get assistance with putting piece on. Just lost track of time and covid, time just got away. My vehicle was at lease end, Dec/20.. I called to inquire about returning the piece yesterday, sales person said would need to see. Drove over was told not going to happen, I couldnt find receipt. Had date of purchase, they dont keep records, and no return on special orders. TOLD to sell on Ebay. All for A piece that Costs 24$. Asked 4 Mgr who wasnt available. I called back a little later, advised by mgr no receipt Toyota deducts 20% off returned parts, no return on parts over 30 days...he would be going against 3 company policies. Then Said to bring part in this am so he could look at it and would decide. Went back today, parts mgr looked at part, then had printed out several return policies from other dealerships Mazda, Kia, others highlighted return policies pushed in my face. 1st of all the piece was from Toyota, not another dealership, other dealerships arnt involved in this.. I felt like I was being talked to like a was a kid, being scolded, told again of ramifications of him going against 3 policies taking part back. Then has a 20$ billed clipped on an invoice from Toyota. Why take all that time to print out the rules from other dealerships. It was intimidation, knowing you had an invoice with the 20$ bill. Sitting there. All this for a 24$ part. That I'm sure wont be returned back to Toyota, instead being sold back to their collision center. In 8yrs of dealing with the same service advisor, never had a problem or been treated like this. read more

Purchased 2019 Avalon in June. Ac quit blowing cold, they refilled coolant and advised for me to keep an eye on it. They did not see any leaks. Took it back again for same reason, filled again. Third time, ironically a leak now that while I feel is bad design they said bad luck. A rock went they grill and put a hole in hole in condenser. Now it's $1200 out of my pocket to fix. Week later, dame thing. Called Director if maintenance, no call back. The technician has called me to get scheduled to fix. I have shared several times I don't live locally, 6 hour drive when I come round trip. Will never purchase a vehicle from here or Toyota again. Will stick to my #ford smh. Round four is schedule next week, hoping my new car will function as it should. Shared I feel like I got ripped off, was told we're not in that business. I purchased a new 2020 Toyota 4 Runner from this dealership. Sales guy ANTOAN was very UNPROFESSIONAL and kept lying through the process. At first, he refused to honor the national memorial day special 0% for 3 yrs on all leased vehicles, he claimed this was a high demand dealership and they do not participate. After I told him I would call corporate to get more details, he then agreed to honor it. He then hid a truck that I was interested in to try to sell me an older one, he claimed it was crashed during a test drive but my husband called from a different phone and verified it was for sale and available. The truck I purchased did not have floor mats or owners manual but ANTOAN told us he would have the parts manager mail it to us. A week later, I contacted the parts manager and he knows nothing about it, parts manager stated they dont do that. ANTOAN now claims that was not part of our deal even-though we accidentally recorded him stating that when we recorded my daughter getting the keys to her new car. I contacted corporate to have them send us the floor mats and owners manual and they did not call me back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THEM!!!! This is by far the worst place to ever buy a car from. If I could give no stars I would. I went there and found a car I liked. All said and done signed for car. I tried to call them to follow up on everything to make sure all is good and to check who I was financed though. I cannot even get a hold of anybody and not one person from the finance dept will call me back and then when they finally do, I am told that I was not approved for the interest rate and to come back in to work it out. And the only reason why they called me back is because they just wanted to lure me back in to get what they want because the paperwork was no good. I really just wanted my car back and then they talked me into keeping the car and get to the payments I wanted. I was hesitant but I ended up signing and then 2 days later the other manager tells me that my loan is still not approved and told me to come back in there so we can work it out. I came in and said I just want to return car and get my car back and from the Sat I had the car till Tuesday when I brought it in, I did not go over 250 miles and they told me I did and would not let me return car and get mine back. They are nothing but liars and fraudulent people that work there. The scary part is that my car that I traded in needed some work done on it and it is already posted on their site for sale and only 2 days after trading it in. So now that makes me think that they really don't look over their cars before putting them on their lot to sell. Certified pre-owned. I don't buy it!! I will let everyone I know to never purchase a car from them! Now I am stuck with this car financed by them and I want nothing to do with them or the car. It left nothing but a bad taste in my mouth and now I will be hesitant in the future when I decide to purchase in the future. read more

Service here is horrible. They usually loose your appointment no matter how you book it, on line or by phone.. However the worst part is they don't fix things and lie about it. I sopped going there when I had problems with the AC on my XB. Every year the AC would get weak (warm) and I would take it to them under warranty and they would say they replaced a part and they die tested it to make sure no leaks. Finally after 3 years my warranty was gone and had the same issue. Took to another dealership (Larry Miller in Peoria) They said there had never been any die on the system as there would be residue they could see still. Called Scion Corp and complained they fixed for free even though out of warranty Stay away from Autonation, horrible service. read more

I just like to say. I had an oil changed done to my scion frs about 4 months and I found oil spot on the floor inside my garage. Found out he technician did do his job. I went back and they say the fixed. I like to say thank you to Marcus Andrews for doing his job. But, if i wouldnt have found the oil spot what would have happen to my car. My wife and I had a reasonably good experience working with Dave Coplan ant Tempe Toyota. We bought a new 2015 Highlander limited. The negotiations were not stressful, the price and trade in value was what we planed on. We did not finance the car, but did get a fair price on a 100.000 mile warranty. The only burp was the registration process. The added the cost of full registration into the deal, not taking into account the significant credit applied from the old registration. The salesman said it would take up to 60 days to refund the credit. They make the DMV look fast. This is the only wart on what would have been a top score. read more

Had a 10 am appointment to get faulty fan blower fixed and throw in an oil change. Sat in waiting area for 2 1/2 hours and finally checked with cashier as to what is going on. She says oh it's been done for about an hour or so, didn't anyone call you? So I get ready to pay and notice it's $73 - with note on bill that fan blower needs replacing. I ask them to send someone out and explain what they actually did! So guy comes out and says 'oh I guessed I talked to someone else named James. What???!!!!! Same guy I dropped car with to start with. How stupid is that? Couldn't remember my face from the morning? So he says it needs a fan blower... I say yeah I know that's why I came here in the first place! I want it fixed. So now I'm on my second round of waiting here! Postscript: After explaining my complaint to the manager, they were very apologetic and offered a discount on the part. I give them a lot of credit for that and up my rating by two stars. read more

The service men are very disrespectful towards the vehicles. There is no reason they should be flooring it from the drop off towards the parking area and right in front of the customer. They should be taught to treat the cars as if they were their own cars and as if they were making payments on them. I swear I've never wanted to throats punch so many people in a 10 minute span. Now for the service, all I went in for was an oil change and waited over 2 hours. I could have done the oil change faster myself without the same equipment they have. This is pathetic and I definitely will not be bringing my car back for service here. I have dealt with three different Toyota dealerships in town and AutoNation Toyota Tempe has been one of the worst. First they sold me a truck at a much higher rate than what I was pre-approved for. After I gave them my pre-approved rate from Dessert schools they sold me a truck at a higher rate and switched to a different bank after they made me sign a desert schools document. It took me days to get the purchase reversed and re-financed through desert schools. They sold me a very expensive GAP insurance of $800 that Dessert schools gave me for $350. It has been over 6 months and I still did not get my money back, every time I go in to see them they have a different story or switch personnel on me. Be very carful of doing any business with AutoNation Toyota Tempe. I bought my first Toyota truck from Camelback Toyota and wish I made the extra drive it would have saved me months of headaches. read more

Wow, I should have read the reviews first. I only started going to this dealership because I moved and it is closer to my house. Where do I begin? After waiting 3 hours for a wheel alignment that was a scheduled appointment, my service advisor never explained anything in detail to me or suggested additional services or inspections, so my car is doing the same sh-t it was doing that prompted me to get the alignment anyway. I looked on my receipt only to find it says no other inspections were done. Well hot diggy dog, could he have not told me that or offered that when I dropped my car off? I don't care if it would cost extra, and speaking of cost, it was ridiculously high, especially for the 3 hour wait it took. Their waiting room is a gloomy, dingy mess and if you walk around outside so your butt cheeks stop falling asleep from your 3 hour wait, the sales team swarms on you like a honey dripping hydrangea. Once my car was finally ready, or so I was told, I rushed to throw my hard earned money at these nimrods and jet outside to my chariot that was not waiting, as they told me. My service advisor was no where to be found, as I never saw him again after giving him the keys to my vehicle. I became agitated and started looking around at the crew of other advisors gathered in their offices shooting the sh-t and finally a gentleman comes up to me and asks what my car looked like. I told him and he went to get it for me. It was in line to be washed. Wow! 15 minutes later I get my car which still shakes like an 80/s dance video and vow never to go to that dump again. Unbelievable, considering I used to get my service done at the Avondale location and always had a pleasant experience. Do not go here. Burn some extra gas to go somewhere else.
