I purchased a AutoZone Duralast brand brake component from this location. The critical safety component failed in less than a year. The part carries a lifetime warranty. Other purchasers reported an identical defect. The part number is close to that of the same type of part under recall. I filed a case with AutoZone customer service seeking a refund or store credit because I was not about to have the same, dangerous brake system part installed on a family member's car. No contact back from AutoZone's regional offices in over 5 weeks and after half a dozen phone calls. The store manager would do nothing for me but start another case with AutoZone corporate. I am waiting for a corporate vice president to contact me regarding this issue. I have also filed a case with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration abut the shoddy part. read more

Shout out to "Trent" who went beyond just telling me what couldn't be done but helped me find a way to get it done. I needed a check engine light checked and they don't enter the car cabins due to COVID and I get it, we all are trying to work and stay safe. And I was nervous about plugging in that device (that's why I came to Autozone), in any case he had confidence that we could figure it out which made me have confidence that I could find this cord that links to that check engine device. And guess what "our can do attitude" worked and I learned how to find the plug and he was a good instructor. My check engine light came on and I went to this location about an hour later to get them to check it to see why. They were busy, but Lee helped me right away. He went out to my car, did whatever it is they do, and went back in the store to enter the information. Some part came up and he asked me "When did the light come on?" I told him about an hour beforehand. He asked me "Have you recently gotten gas?" I told him that I had the day before. He said he was going to go back out and tighten the gas cap and reset the light (?) or see if the light resets (?) can't remember which, but he also said that if it comes back on, that I have a different problem. read more

These guys are awesome! My car needed a new battery but was in a mechanic's lot a few doors down from the store. Malik offered to come and jump my car with no success. I then bought a battery and Malik offered to install the battery for me even though it wasn't on the auto zone lot. There was an issue with the battery receptors and the manager, Mordechai, came out and knew a trick to fixing the battery receptors. With some handy work from the plyers supplied by Malik, my battery was securely connected. Probably would have been $100+ from a mechanic. Great customer service with a smile. If it wasnt for these guys I still would have a burned out light in my head lights, and with that possibly a ticket. I went to Autozone in Alpharetta with my brother who was having trouble with his battery. We received amazing customer service from Ebony B. This girl was helpful, friendly, answered our questions, recommended a battery and even installed it. I was blown away by her level of customer service and she did it all with a smile. I usually come to this location even thought they are out of my way because the staff is usually helpful and knowledgeable. Except for the last 5 times I have gone in. Today was the worst, which obviously sparked this negative review. Went in today to get them to run a diagnostic to see what was causing the check engine light to come on and to pick up a few general maintenance parts. I have shopped at this location several times and in general have always received the assistance I needed. Not today! I asked the first associate available to run the diagnostic, this happened to be Patrick. He runs the diagnostic but won't tell me what code was popping up. We go inside and he punches some things in on their computer, doesn't turn the screen so I can see it. And then prints something out and hands it to me. I asked so what code, he mumbled and never said, then points to the screen like I can see it. I look on the paper and it tells me some things but still vague. All he said was guess you need to take it to a mechanic. (Apparent engine misfire). And then he tries to dismiss me. I tell him no, I need a few additional items. He, who should be named USELESS, says rudely, "Ok, what?" I tell him I also need oil and windshield wiper blades, could he tell me where those were located. He points somewhere behind me and says back there. One would have thought since I was the only customer at the counter he could have been bothered to show me, obviously I was wrong! I asked him to confirm that I was going to get the correct grade oil on their system vs me having to look it up on my phone. Again, I must have expected something wrong because this seemed to be yet another inconvenience to him! I give, USELESS, the correct year make model and trim of my vehicle, but that's not what he enters. He looks it up and tries again to dismiss me. At this point I'm getting ticked off, and I believe rightly so. I tell him, "No I need you to look up the correct windshield wiper blades also." He does, and yet again offers no additional assistance. Have I mentioned I'm the only customer in the store and in line. There were a few customers in the parking lot either working on their car or being assisted by a mother very friendly associate. I obviously got the wrong associate. So after going to the back of the store, I ended up calling my brother to confirm the correct oil grade, not the one Patrick told me, surprise. I pull it down off the top shelf, being short this was not easy. And looked up the correct wiper blade online on my phone, again not what Patrick told me. And proceed to check out. Before I can even get to the counter with my purchase, I see the same associate, USELESS, flirting with a very pregnant confused woman as she is coming in the store. She has time to get to the counter first and he continues to flirt with her and check her one item out, while I am standing there juggling several quarts of oil and several wiper blades. He finally finished flirting long enough to try to check me out at the register. Once again, associated USELESS, is rude. He never asked did I find everything OK, or did I need anything else. He answers the phone in the middle of ringing up my purchase, barely throws the oil on a bag and starts to walk off. At this point I was so fed up, I fumbled with collecting it all off the counter, he attempts to help, and I walk out. I have NEVER been treated so rudely or had so little help in an auto parts store EVER! Makes me seriously rethink driving to an auto parts store that isn't close to my house again, since the staff no longer seems helpful!! read more

Gas cap lasted only 1 year. Rude staff. Unhelpful. Heard "I don't know" several times. Don't recommend. Their generic caps cost more than name brand ones from another store. read more

I believe he is the store manager and deserves more recognition from senior managment. The other guys in the store were extremely helpful as well. Patrick helped me today install a new battery in my son's car. He tested the old one to make sure I didn't need a new one first. Then he found me a deal and told me about the rebate available. He installed it in about 5 minutes. This is the second battery I got from them, and both times great service! read more

On Saturday our car would not start. We were having a problem with the battery which was a Duralast purchased from Autozone. It was only two years old. I could not find my receipt. I knew I had purchased it from the Holcomb Bridge store. I called the store to see if they could look it up. I gave them three possible phone numbers. The third number brought up the car and a history of purchases. The female on the phone told me there was no history of a battery purchase and there was nothing she could do. I went to purchase another battery and went to the Autozone in Woodstock. I gave him the phone number and he immediately pulled up the history of purchases and lo and behold there was the battery purchase and he very willingly swapped it out for a new one because it was only 2 years old. I will never use the Holcomb Bridge store again and would never recommend it to anyone! read more

I so wish I could remember the guy that helped me- amazing! terrific! Came in twice... first time- tail light out (got a warning for the nice policeman), the showed me the right light (only 8$ wow, was expecting 'worse') then came out and installed it- for free! Wow. (my dog then hopped out and tried to play fetch with him...they are now forever friends) Second time, needed some touch up paint. The same guy remembered me! and even asked 'Is my buddy (dogs name) with you?" (he was, so he stopped to say hello) looked to find where the paint color is listed (who knew it was listed on the door??) then showed me where to get it, range me up. Definently a customer for life. Bought headlights for my car and they installed them in no time. Daren was very help, sorry if I spelled the name wrong. I think he is the manager up there. He saved me a lot of time and money by doing a small job for free just because "it will take me 5 min to do and it would cost you $100 to pay someone else. So I will take care of it."
