Salvador was our server. He was GREAT! Kept our table clean, got us drinks and offered us coffee at the end. My wife and I were happy to eat our weight in crab and lobster. Definitely recommend. We have also been to the Caesars buffet which is packed. The AYCE buffet has a better ambiance and with more room to walk around. No shoulder bumping with other tables. I really wanted love this place. Maybe it was all the videos I seen but it was okay in my opinion. The lobster tails were not all that greatly prepared. I was searching the lobster all-you-can-eat buffet online, and there aren't many in Las Vegas . So I chose it in Palms Casino Resort. Dinner starts at 3 p.m. and there are already many people queuing up. Fortunately, I made a reservation two weeks in advance, so they will let those who have made reservations in first. Before going in, people need to pay first. There was a tip displayed inside, with the minimum being 18%. So we chose this 18% tip. Then hostess led us inside and handed me over to a waiter. The Waiter asked us what drinks we wanted and then told us we could go out and get something to eat. There are many choices inside, as well as desserts and ice cream. I mainly take lobsters, salads and fruits. Here are whole lobsters and lobster tails. I think the whole lobster tastes better than the lobster tail, and the I'll meat quality is also a bit better. There are also many choices of fruit salads, and a wide variety of desserts and ice creams. The atmosphere and environment are both great. The Waiter had a very good attitude. When he saw that we had no drinks, he immediately refilled them , and removed the emptied plates, and emptied the metal bucket when it was full of lobster shells. The wait was about an hour and a half, which was tough with our 1 year old, but.... the crabs legs were worth it! If I wasn't eating crab legs, I'm not sure I'd wait that long. I had a $50 credit that I could use at the buffet for staying at the Palms. We wanted to try out the seafood dinner buffet which was quite well reviewed. We had a 6:30 pm reservation and wanted to try to get in earlier because other plans that we had for later in the evening. The hostess was very accommodating and we were able to get seated at 5:45 pm. Our focus was on the seafood which was the lobster tails, crab legs and shrimp cocktail. All three were excellent especially the crab legs. They were naturally sweet and tasted great with drawn butter. The lobster tails were also very good. Other items that I enjoyed were the Mexican corn, deep fried gyoza and the slice of sirloin steak. Our server was excellent and topping up our drinks and clearing out the dishes we used. This is one of the better buffets for $79 per person. The restaurant can get very busy with a good number of people without reservations are on the waitlist. read more

We came here for the all you can eat lobster buffet. It's only on Wednesday and Thursday nights and you must make a reservation. It's $79.99 per person with a nonalcoholic drink included. You have a 90 minute time limit once you are seated. They do have wine and beer for purchase. We mainly ate the lobster tails (you can get two each time you go up to the buffet) snow crab legs were warm and easy to crack. They have bowls available for the warmed butter. We also had the brisket with horseradish sauce. Everything was delicious and our sever was Salvador who was very nice, he kept our glasses full, and cleared dirty plates quickly. Started with the unpleasant surprise that even with a reservation I had to wait in a 45 minute line. Yes, there was a lot of crab and lobster. Was it great? No. I normally like whole lobster more than just the tails but there the whole lobsters were overcooked and held too long. The tails were moist and seemed fresher. No, it was not worth $200 (with tip) for 2 people. Aside from the lobster there were some very tasty ahi poke cups and delicious hot honey crab Rangoon balls. The usual buffet suspects carved meats, fried chicken and lots of sides. Mini desserts and Dole Whip for dessert. Our server was great. We came here on New Year's Day for their Lobster and Steak special and really enjoyed it. It was $80 per person before tax and tip. They have lobster specials each week on Wednesday and Thursday. They offered both whole lobsters and lobster tails. The servers are generous and there were hardly ever any lines to get lobster since they had plenty. I didn't try a big variety of items from their buffet and just enjoyed the steak, lobster, some sides and dessert. They also have dole whip soft serve! From Ron, to Marilyn to Antona the Pasta Chef. We dined at A.Y.C.E. Buffet Saturday night and this visit the wait time wasn't too long. Only about 15 minutes to get seated. They had prime rib and crab legs among other things. Almost forgot my favorite shumai. So good! Marilyn was excellent and so kind. She checked on us many times asking if we needed anything and if we wanted more drinks. Antona was also great. She prepared our child's pasta since we informed her of our child's food allergies to peanuts and tree nuts. Thank you Marilyn and Antona for your great customer care and service. A.Y.C.E. Buffet serves many different types of food selection and dishes. They have different types of beef, chicken and seafood options. They also have sushi. Then when we inquired at the front they told us one line was for diamond only. Diamond line had 2 staff idle, other line had a single rotating person leisurely helping people. Came to try A.Y.C.E. at the Palms and arrived right at the start of dinner hours at 4 PM. The buffet has a modern look and a clean, well-organized layout. The meat selections looked promising and the crab legs were a nice plus. I was excited to try a variety of items and loaded up my plate. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet expectations. While the flavors were decent, most of the items I tried--including the steak, ribs, dumplings, soup, macaroni, and roasted chicken--were either room temperature or cold. The meat was also on the chewy side rather than tender. Since I came right at the start of dinner, I was surprised by the lack of heat and freshness. It felt like some items may have been carried over from the lunch service and not reheated well. On the positive side, the service was good. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant itself was very clean. Crab legs tasted good, and I also enjoyed the ice cream options in the dessert section. Overall, it was an average experience. There's definitely potential here, but improvements in food temperature and freshness--especially at the start of dinner would make a big difference. My in laws love going to buffets when visiting Vegas and we've never tried AYCE before so wanted to give it a try given the high reviews. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed with our experience here. We came here for the brunch buffet which we initially thought was reasonably priced at $43 something per person. I wish we took a tour of the buffet before deciding to eat here because it turned out to be super limited in terms of food and I would say that most items ranged from okay to bad and the only thing that I actually liked was the Ube ice cream. The big ticket items they offered were crab legs and New York steak, however, the crab legs looked really skinny and had an odd smell to them and the New York steak was the most chewy steak I've ever had in my life, no exaggeration. None of the food really seemed warm either and felt more room temperature. Usually when I'm at a buffet, there's more to eat than my stomach has room for, but at this buffet, I felt hungry but found myself not wanting any of the options because of the poor quality. Other than the ice cream, all the other desserts looked really sad as well and I didn't bother trying them. The one redeeming thing about this buffet was the service. Our server was so kind and sweet and would check up on us frequently. I'm giving this place an extra star just for her!! Overall, I'm not entirely sure how this buffet has high reviews, but I would not recommend it based on my experience. read more

We had a reservation but still had to wait about an hour in line. They said to come 15 minutes later I would try to come 30-40 minutes early if you want to be sat at your reservation time. We sat down and headed straight for the lobster and crab stations. When we came back to our table they sat down this massive platter of lobster and crab! They said chef Benny chose one family a night to give his special too. He was so nice and this 5 pound fresh lobster was the best lobster I've ever had.
