A solid matcha spot! Came around 12 PM on a Friday and waited about 30 minutes total between the line and getting our drinks. The mango matcha had a really fresh, fruity flavor, while the banana matcha was super creamy and slightly thick, probably from the real banana foam and oat milk. The toffee bits on top were so good and added a nice texture and extra sweetness. The store itself is pretty small and most of the space is taken up by ordering and making drinks, so there's nowhere to sit or really chill. Definitely more of a pick me up drink kind of place than somewhere to hang out, but the drinks were solid!
As someone who just flew down from the Bay Area, my goal is to try out different drink stops every time I visit. I was hesitant at first because of how long the line looked, but after some easy self-convincing I ended up joining that line, and I do not regret it all. I visited on a Wednesday early afternoon, and the line was already long. Usually not surprised it has a lime because of the fact that they close early. I waited 30 mins total to order and get my drink, which wasn't terrible. You order with 1 worker, she writes it down on the cup, and then you go and pay right after, and then someone brings the drink out to you, which was very nice! Since I was alone, and I'm not local, I decided to treat myself and get 2 drinks, the blueberry matcha and their banana coffee. And it was amazing!! Couldn't stop chugging both of them. Loved loved each of their flavors. So very highly recommended if you are into sweeter drinks or flavored drinks!
My favorite place for matcha. I'm not even a banana fan but this one with the toffee bits was a 10/10. The coconut matcha wasn't bad, but was just meh. Not something I would get again I think. Definitely not bad. The only downside to this place is the line.
This place is defiantly very very popular at the moment but for good reason. Ive been seeing this place on all the top matcha lists in OC and it has contention for sure. My only critic is that the matcha itself is a little gritty. I got a guava matcha latte and the color is amazing and the taste of the matcha itself has a subtly sweetness that everyone can get behind. The gritty texture may be due to the mass production that they are handling for the growing line. Regardless it was worth the hour wait! My bf loved their banana viet coffee and wishes we got 2 of those to begin with. I believe all the coffees are made with viet coffee bases but i could be wrong.
Matcha and coffee... what a perfect combo! I was in the area with my friend, and this shop was on my bucket list for a while. When I arrived, I was surprised by the long line. It started inside the store and extended past four other stores next to it. However, the line moved pretty decently (prob 15 minutes to get to the front). The workers were really nice... they walked out to hand-deliver each drink to customers outside. So sweet of them! There's no seating available for those looking to study here, but they do have a bench inside where you can sit while waiting for your drinks. Our order: Matcha Two (4/5): Very rich in matcha for sure, but I don't think this one was made for me. I like it more when it's infused with the berries or fruits, so maybe I'll try that next time. Not bad tho! Salted Saigon (5/5): Perfect for coffee lovers like me! Just enough sweetness in the coffee and a hint of sea salt creme on top. Nice pairings. Would def. get it again. Blueberry Matcha (5/5): My friend got this drink, and she really loved it! She said it was a total banger, and she would come back for this LOL. Definitely a must-visit spot for coffee or matcha!
Guava matcha is so good, super refreshing! I also like the mango matcha as well. Also, the matcha doesn't feel thick or too heavy. The times I have been here, the line is long but goes by pretty decently. Staffs are really nice and helpful. Only problem here is the parking bc it's a small plaza. I went on a Sunday once and took us like 15 mins to find parking and the line was outrageously long. The store is small but they have a good flow going.
Pretty solid coffee and really really good matcha per my wife LOL. I'm not a huge matcha person so I can't really tell the difference, but she told me it's worth the hype! Don't get discouraged when you see the line outside. They only let 1-3 people inside at a time to order so everyone has to wait outside. I was at the end of the 1st/2nd store? and it only took about 10min to order. There was about 10-13 people in front of me. Then it took about another 10min to get my order, so it wasn't a terrible wait. Ordered Banana Coffee - 4/5 - nothing crazy viet coffee with bananas, but one of the better ones Matcha 1 - for pure matcha flavors Matcha 2 - for some light dressing on the matcha salted matcha foam Salted Bread - 3/5 idk just tasted like bread with butter/salt LMAO Personally if I have to wait 30min+ i wouldn't but if you can get there early and it's only around 10min wait I think it's a solid spot.
This is a local hidden gem in Tustin in a random strip mall. Parking is abit hit and miss since its a small lot but usually you'll find something just circling around. There seems to always be a line here so be aware! We got there after lunch around 1pm and the line was about 10-15minutes reaching two doors down. They explicitly have a caution line on the sidewalk telling people NOT to block next door businesses doorways! The menu is straightforward and seems to update since we came before. The HOT item that always sells out daily is the sea salt bread. They will sell out within a few hours of opening so its only a morning item! Also note this place is cashless so card only! Our favorite items here are the: Banana Matcha: This is there matcha latte with oat milk and banana cream on top with fresh sliced bananas and toffee bits. Yes definitely get it less sweet for the perfect ratio! Its like a banana toffee flavor with that rich matcha on the bottom so good in this summer heat! Black Sesame match: this is my usual go to since its a more light drink with there signature matcha latte topped with black sesame cream. Its very light for someone just looking for a easy to drink light matcha but don't want a plain drink. Matcha Two: Matcha latte with salted matcha cream and vanilla syrup. This i would say is there signature matcha drink if you are a first timer and want to try there matcha without all the other flavors. Its got a good balanced matcha blended with the hint on vanilla sweetness. The servers are super friendly and helpful here since they make every cup of matcha by hand so there's a long table of workers hand mixing matcha but the line moves fairly quickly. You order directly at the bar so you can ask questions or customize if you wish. I usually get less sweet, less ice or even no ice. They personally hand you every order by name which is a great touch. Overall, a great local matcha shop they we will definitely be back again to try other items especially that salted bread that always sells out!
WOWOWOWOW. Delicious! One of the best matcha drinks ever. The matcha here really shines. They do matcha in a really simple, yet delicious way. The matcha is incredibly smooth and creamy. The drinks are not too sweet, the salt levels are perfect, and have a great ratio of matcha! I will say I think the matcha flavor could be punchier, but I think the way they've done it really appeals to the masses. The matcha is also not really bitter which I am really impressed by! Because it's not bitter, the naturally sweet, creamy, and savory/earthy notes really come through. My husband and I tried the M2 and the Mango Matcha. Both were AMAZING! The mango matcha was sweeter and a good balance between the two flavors. The M2 was straight matcha flavor and so pure. Your preference on whether you like sweet or heavier on the matcha will dictate what will be your favorite. We also tried the Black Sesame Coffee and WOWEE was it great! The coffee was STRONG. Really good coffee. Loved it! And the black sesame was super flavorful. Now let's talk about the game changer...THE SALT BREAD! If you are there and it's not sold out, do yourself a favor and just get it. (P.S. I've heard that the salt bread sells out early) I LOVED THE SALT BREAD! It was actually the perfect bread to match the drinks. I loved taking a sip of the drink and following it up with a bite of the salt bread. The bread had a crispy outside and a beautiful salty, buttery flavor. Loved the crunchy outside with the airy inside. Such a good pastry. I came Saturday around 10am and the wait was about 30 minutes. The line moved quick and once they took our order, the drinks came out SO FAST. The service was AMAZING! The workers were so kind and we really enjoyed our interactions with them. AYER, GREAT WORK! I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!!!
Orange County Matcha Finest! Currently, my favorite place for Matcha! I've been here since the grand opening and I absolutely love the place. I try to go off hours because this place gets really busy on weekends. The service is quick and worth the wait. What I got here is the double Matcha and boy did they make a mean one. It is the perfect sweetness at 50%. It has a very good consistency. I also recommend getting the salted bread.
Mango matcha: 5/5 Fresh mango flavor pairs so well with the matcha, so yummy Black sesame matcha: 4.5/5 Loveeee black sesame but tasted more black sesame cream than I did any matcha flavor, overall still so yummy There was a line but it moved pretty fast I would say like 5 min. Drinks came out fast
I've been here twice now. The line is out the door, but it's because there's literally no room inside except to order your drink. Once you order, you wait outside and the drink comes out quick. Both times I got the matcha banana cream drink. I normally don't like oat milk, but you can't taste the difference here. I'm also not sure if they use diary alternatives for their cream, but if they do, it is still pretty creamy. I'm knocking a star down because the drink was inconsistent. They were still good both times, but the first time, it had a better, more concentrated matcha taste. I also got the salt bread and would skip it. They put it in a cute little bag, but I've definitely had better.
Pretty Delicious! I came here 4x prior, on my 5th, I've decided to write a review. One of my favorite hojicha spots and they do their fruit pairings with matcha well. It doesn't taste jammy and has a fragrant aftertaste. The line can get a bit long but I don't mind too much. The service is always polite and efficient. No complaints! Everyone is nice and they offer adjustments if you need it after ordering. I hope they continue to do well! ^-^
Saturday morning wait was about 20 minutes, but the line moved quickly. We got a matcha two and a mango matcha. The matcha is smooth, and the drinks are not too sweet. Mango matcha tastes like real mango and is appropriately sweet as well. The shop is very small in a strip mall, so it's easy to miss. People are very nice and would totally go here again. read more
The matcha here is sooooo good and creamy! One of my favorite matchas!!! Its near perfect. I think my only suggestion is having more Asian flavors in the matcha like pandan. Coming back to try the blueberry matcha and hojicha latte. read more

Best matcha spot in OC hands downnnnn. I've tried at least 5 drinks from here and they are all soooo good. My fav is the matcha 2, but their mango and banana matcha is also a MUST!!! Line gets long but once you get inside the service is super fast & the staff is all so kind. I also like buying the matcha tins to make at home! UPDATE: I tried their salt bread at their grand opening and everyday I've gone after, they've been sold out. Finally came today at 9am and it was sold out LMAO I'm sadddd I wish they had more to get throughout the day! read more
This one has been on my list for a while and every time I drive into the parking lot and if the line is super long, I just leave and try again another time. Well today was the day! No line and got a chance to try the Matcha 2 and the banana matcha with house made banana pudding. All I can say is... the line is worth it. Very good matcha! When we left, the line got really long so we beat the crowd. Will I stand in line the future? Probably not because I don't like waiting, but if I drive by and the line seems descent, I will stop for sure. Parking lot is small and shares with many restaurants. I can see it being congested during peak hours. Please come and create your own adventure. read more
Line was not as long as it usually is so we stopped after church and it moved fairly fast - maybe 20 mins with about 14 people ahead. They have a smart ordering process and are churning out the drinks so that's a plus. Now for the drinks - Giava matcha 9/10 very good, earthy and not too sweet. Matcha 3 - 7/10 VERY earthy and not sweet at all so if you're a matcha matcha person this is it. If you like sweet, fake matcha this is not going to be your cup of tea. Blueberry coffee - 6/10 bc it was a bold coffee and could have used a milk to cut the bitterness. Spanish latte - 9/10 good flavor and balanced coffee/milk. This was my first visit at Ayer and I had a really pleasant experience! I got the Strawberry Matcha Latte, per the barista's recommendation, and it definitely didn't disappoint! The strawberry puree inside the drink really compliments the matcha. Love the matcha used in this as well! The matcha is very earthy and has a smooth taste; not powdery. A big plus is that the drink comes with oat milk by default (my fav)!! Staff was very welcoming and enthusiastic to assist me as it was my first time -- happy to say I'll be a returning customer. Thank you to the staff for being so helpful and kind :) Just wish it was more local to me but I'd definitely return when I'm in the area. read more

I've been wanting to try this cute cafe after seeing it trend on social media! I got the matcha two, which was pretty strong and creamy, though I think their vanilla cream and syrup overpowered the matcha flavor. I also felt the same way about the hojicha, it could have had a stronger tea flavor and less vanilla. I also got the salt bread, which came in a pretty big size and had a nice flaky salt on top. I wish they baked them more frequently, as I had to warm mine up in the microwave and the bottom could have been crispier. Since they are pretty new, the ordering system is a little complicated. The wait on weekends is always super long, so I would definitely wait for the hype to die down a bit before visiting. read more
I'm so sorry but this was such a disappointment :( Drove 40 min to try Ayer since we are big matcha and coffee fans & I was so disappointed! I thought I was going to love it. I ordered a blueberry coffee and it was undrinkable. It was overly sweet but also bitter. I think they use Vietnamese coffee but the blend of the default oat milk and blueberry syrup just didn't work for me at all. I couldn't even drink it :( I also tried the mango matcha & didn't care for it either. I think their drinks are very sweet especially with the added oat milk. I wish their default wasn't oat milk! The cashiers are very nice and friendly there & the line moves quickly. read more
This is the place for real matcha lovers or anyone getting into matcha! The matcha two was the perfect double matcha latte -- slightly nutty, perfectly earthy, and not too sweet. It's all hand whisked as well, which increases my respect for the team here. This place is a to-go type of cafe. There's one little bench for waiting, but you can't do work or hang out. The service is really friendly and the girl who helped us out was very sweet. I would recommend anyone who visits to be patient! Totally worth getting in line! It moves fairly quickly. It's a grab and go type of spot as the shop is very small. You order, pay, and then wait for your drink outside. I got the mango matcha and was blown away! You'll love it if you like the sweet Asian mangos! Their drinks also come with oat milk as default. I also appreciated how they whisk their matcha in matcha bowls after you order! No premade drinks here! The workers were so sweet and helpful. Can't wait to come back to try other drinks! read more

The line looks long but honestly was only 15-20 minutes when the line was 2.5 stores away from the cafe. Plenty of parking but it's pretty active with people coming and going. Staff was very nice and it's takeout only. No indoor or outdoor seating. Matcha Three: pretty strong and tasty. Smooth and more legit than other places like Vivot where they make you sign a waiver. Coconut Pandan Green Rice: an interesting slushie with rice bits. Definitely tastes like Vietnamese chè. Saigon Black and Spanish Phin: my brother and roommate really enjoyed this. Definitely would come back to try their other flavors. read more

The hype here is absolutely worth it! I have been here four times now, and I think the worst time to go is between 10AM and noon on the weekends. Any time earlier than that on the weekends or any weekday will have a much shorter line. Regardless, the line moves relatively fast, and the ordering process is relatively efficient, so I wouldn't let the line deter you too much from a delicious cup of matcha. I have ordered the Matcha 2, and the salted matcha cream top is the cherry on top of an already rich and deeply flavorful matcha latte. Getting it half sweet is perfect, and you can taste the umami and slight bitterness of the matcha. I have also tried the Salted Saigon, which is also indulgently delicious. The salted vanilla cream top cuts the strong Vietnamese coffee and balances it out perfectly. You order at a counter, then repeat your order to the cashier on the right side of the counter, who will ring you up. You also order the salt bread with the cashier. The salt breads sell out early for good reason! The buttery, salty crust that forms on the bottom of the bread roll is heavenly (I would recommend taking it home and heating it up in a toaster oven for maximal crunch). No seating inside, so be sure to find another place to enjoy your latte and bread! read more

This is a cute little coffee shop! It is brand new and clean. The owners are so sweet and at the business managing the cafe. The baristas were all sweet and friendly. I wanted to get their matcha but when I asked to see if the matcha is organic or not, I didn't get a straight answer so I settled for a bluebbery coffee (half sweet) instead and it was delicious!!!! When I am in the area, I will for sure stop by to try their other coffee options! read more

A friend of mine recommended this place, recently opened but not so hush. There was a line with a queue of 7-8 people in the morning. They do not have a large space inside for people to wait so we end up forming a line outside. The cashier was friendly and welcoming to all customers. They have a large menu with so many styles -- if you like a coffee flavor, they can pretty much make that in a matcha version. I've been searching far and wide for the best banana matcha lattes, this is so far the best. When you finally step inside, you can see they have 2-3 staff whisking matcha. Their arms are getting a serious workout because I saw 10 + bowls already pre-whisked. The matcha tasted amazing and I was able to get a rich and creamy banana flavor with each sip. They added a nice crunch with crushed banana chips. My wife ordered the pumpkin pie coffee to be festive for fall. It was delicious and reminded us of a nice fall day. Overall, we really enjoyed the 2 drinks we selected. I would come back as often as I can if I lived in the area. The service was quick since they are staffed well to knock out so many drinks! read more
Matcha Three is my favorite. It's matcha 3 ways of drink, foam, and sorbet. I've also had their coconut matcha and mango matcha. Everything I've ordered from here so far I've enjoyed. The workers are always very nice and smile. Lines can still be pretty long during peak times. The same can go for parking in the plaza. read more
I came on a weekday and there was no line. It is more of a order to go place, no tables inside. I ordered matcha one (matcha latte) and matcha two (double matcha). I like how they use oat milk for the drinks. The matcha flavor was strong and smooth. The employees were nice and service was quick. They call your name and bring your drink out once it is ready. Hands down one of the best matchas I've had recently. The matcha one was perfect - earthy and not too sweet. My daughter loved the mango milk! I thought it was a bit on the sweet side, but she was one happy camper. They were sold out of the sweet bread, so I'll need to try that next time! The employees were nice and happy to be there. The line was pretty long, but went fast. Parking wasn't as easy as I'd hoped, but got a spot after a couple circles. Totally recommend is you are a matcha fan! read more

A lovely addition to the Tustin area! The plaza has plentiful parking. The shop itself is just a tiny storefront to order inside and so the queue is out the door usually during peak hours. I came early to get the salt bread and definitely had to wait a bit in line. The service is super friendly and very attentive and even asked me which salt bread I would prefer in the box. In addition to the salt bread, I also got the Matcha 2 which is essentially a matcha latte with the matcha foam on top. It was very well made and the salt bread was equally delicious! Would definitely recommend these 2 and the wait was worth it. Hopefully they can expand their hours! read more

I have been wanting to try ayer for the longest time, and I was so happy to be in the area to finally try it! I came on a weekend afternoon, and the line was out the door, which I was expecting! I waited around 30 minutes, but my drinks came out pretty quickly. The workers were very kind and efficient. I got the Matcha Two ($8) and Matcha One ($7)! The Matcha Two was so cute with their logo design on top of the cream. The matcha was smooth and strong, and paired well with the cream top. read more
After hearing about this place for the past few months, I finally had a chance to check it out. I wish I hadn't waited so long to try this place because it is fantastic, and I can see why there is always a small line out the door. Ayer's located in a plaza with plenty of parking and the shop itself is quite small, so you'll need to wait out front until you get called in. The staff are super friendly, and you can see everyone spending so much time and effort to make sure the drinks are prepared as best as possible. I also appreciate that they offer to make adjustments after you try them, making sure you are completely satisfied. I got a mango matcha and my wife got a matcha two, and both drinks were excellent. This was easily the best matcha I've had in OC, with both drinks not being too sweet and the matcha tasting great. My only regret is not coming here sooner, because this place really lives up to the hype. I can't wait to try their coffee next, and will definitely be back for their matcha soon too. read more

A little late on the review for Ayer, but visited a little bit after the initial traction the cafe was getting when it first opened. I arrived a little bit before noon and the line wasn't too bad. The staff was very sweet, as I only waited about 10-15 mins to order but different staff came out and thanked me for waiting in line although I really didn't wait long. It's a pretty small cafe with no tables, so all you could pretty much do is order and then stand outside and wait till they called you. I ordered the mango matcha and the matcha two, which I absolutely loved the mango matcha as it had both puree and mango juice. The matcha two fell a bit short for me, but it might just be because I was expecting a more deeper matcha flavor. It was lighter despite it seeming otherwise. Would definitely go back for the mango matcha! read more
Ayer Coffee is now officially open and recently had their grand opening this weekend. They are a Korean and Vietnamese owned coffee shop serving up some unique speciality matcha and coffee drinks. This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Keep in mind that they are take-out only and that lines do tend to form but move quickly. Wifey and I pulled up for our weekend matcha run and it was about a 20 minute wait. For their menu, they have a solid selection of different coffee and matcha drinks to choose from. Wifey ended up getting the Matcha Two and I got the Coconut Water Matcha Cream. Overall, we both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and the flavor profiles they had. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Ayer definitely has a case to be the best matcha spot in all of OC. Come stop by to support and see for yourself! read more
I love this spot! I have been seeing this place all over Instagram and was wondering if it's as good as they say. When you first walk in, the shop is small, but filled with coziness and greeted with smiles. I first looked at the drinks, and the color if the matcha was the perfect shade of green. I knew it would be high quality when I first laid my eyes on this! FAVORITE ITEMS: - Mango Matcha: the mango was so creamy and refreshing. Paired against the bitterness of the matcha, it was the perfect balance. If you ever had mango lassi, this reminds me of an elevated version. I loved this and apparently it's one of the best sellers! - Blueberry Matcha: omg wow. I really loved this one too. The blueberry flavor was bold and not artificial tasting at all. It definitely stood out as a drink that I will remember. - Strawberry Matcha: Loved this one too. Amongst the drinks, this was sweeter, but not overbearingly so. If you love strawberry matchas, this is high up there on the list for sure. - Banana Matcha: creamy banana flavor, but again, not artificial. Paired really well with the matcha. It has crunchy bits on the top which was a very pleasant surprise. PARKING: it's in a small plaza, and I did not have any issues finding parking. PRICE: drinks are about $7 each, but definitely worth the quality. Overall, I am already dreaming about coming back here for the matcha. Anyone who wants matcha, this is THE spot to go to. read more
The staff and owners here are all so nice! I've been twice so far and both great experiences! The store is quite small so you do have to wait outside for the most part. You get called in to order. I personally prefer the matcha 1 over matcha 2 as a daily drink because I think the foam makes it a little heavier so it's like a nice once in a while drink for me. Their mango matcha has really good and natural tasting flavors. Their Saigon coffee is also a heavier drink in my opinion, but the drink itself is very well balanced and hits the spot!! read more

Mango Matcha was sweet with a somewhat creamy mango. This was delightful with a smooth balance of mango and matcha. Highly recommend!! Quick service and def more of grab n go place. Parking lot can be tight when busy but I found a spot and it's at least free parking. They also sell bread. read more
Visit & Line: I tried to stop by Ayer Coffee around 1pm, but it was super busy & the line was out the door! I came back Saturday around 9:30am and was the only one waiting in line outside. The shop is small, and the line is managed outside to keep the indoor space from getting too crowded. When it's your turn, the barista calls you in, you place your order & then head to the cashier to pay. Ordering Process: The ordering process seems to work well; thought it would be even better if the barista could give you something to show the cashier so you don't have to repeat your order. The line moves fast but i can get long quickly during peak times. Drinks & Food: I ordered the Coconut Iced Blended Coffee--- they blend the coconut first and then pour the coffee on top. Give it a good mix--- it's super flavorful and delicious. I also tried the salt bread, which was fresh, baked perfectly, and yummy too! Parking & Convenience: There is a large parking lot, so parking wasn't an issue, making the spot very convenient. Overall: It's a small setup, but the staff are friendly, the drinks and pastries are tasty & the process is organized. Just try to avoid peak times if you want a quicker trip :) read more
Ayer Coffee is a new coffee shop located in Tustin serving Vietnamese coffee and matcha drinks. They source their coffee from Vietnam and their matcha from Japan. They're currently in their soft opening phase; I went right before they opened at 10am and there was already a line that got even longer after I got in line. The interior is a tiny space with only a small bench but has an open kitchen where you can watch the workers make the drinks. We got the salted saigon ($6.50) and the matcha 2 ($8) which were both not too sweet or bitter; they were very well balanced. As a non matcha drinker we liked that the matcha didn't have that bitter taste. Because there were a lot of workers the drinks came out in less than five minutes. One thing about Ayer is that the staff and owners are genuinely so kind. They always make me feel welcomed, and it makes the whole experience really enjoyable. My go-to order is the Mango Matcha with Salted Vanilla Foam, it's so good. Their matcha is on the pricier side, but honestly, it's worth it. Just a heads up, it's really popular, so the line can get pretty long. read more
I came here for the double matcha but I left loving the mango matcha. How the turn tables. The hype on social media is real because it led me to this random strip mall that was PACKED. There was a line out the door so I immediately knew which one Ayer was. They work efficiently, though, because we got through the line and received our drinks all within 15 minutes. The Matcha Two aka double matcha is very creamy because of the matcha foam and the quality of the matcha they use in the latte is good. I'm speaking based off the experience I have of making my own matcha lattes at home, with powder I bought from Japan. The mango matcha was a pleasant surprise. I'm usually not one to drink fruity matchas because I like the flavor of the matcha without it getting tainted but I'm a mango lover so this one really got me. I can't say for sure but from what I tasted, I believe the mango puree is made in-house. It was fresh and complemented the matcha perfectly. The worker who helped us was also so kind, and she recommended that we try the salted Saigon next time, so I will be back for that really soon. read more
I've been to Ayêr maybe 4 times now and I've had a great experience every time. I've come in on both weekends and weekdays. Obviously there will be more of a line on the weekends, but they move through the line very quickly and the workers are super kind despite how busy it can get. I would say parking is more of an issue on the weekends, but people come and go so it's not the worst. I've tried the Matcha Two (my go-to) and the Salted Saigon. They are both delicious!! As someone who prefers less sweet drinks + a salted element to otherwise sweet things, both of these drinks hit the spot for me. The coffee is so flavorful and the salted cream top balances it out perfectly. The Matcha Two has the perfect matcha notes for me--bitter and nutty. The bitterness isn't extremely overpowering because the Salted Matcha Cream Top cuts through it and pairs nicely. The drink itself isn't the creamiest, it has more of a watery consistency, but the amount of matcha is generous. The flavor of the drink as a whole is well balanced and the light sweetness paired well with the notes of the matcha and salted cream. Overall this is one of my favorite matchas in OC simply because everything in the drink is well balanced. The service here is always great and they really know how to work through the line quickly. The space to order drinks is compact, but has a bench to sit on. They also have a system where you approach the counter first to order, then head to the cashier to pay. This place is very hyped on social media But honestly, the drinks are just mediocre. They aren't that good, but they're pretty good. They have a pretty wide selection, and I'd say it's a pretty fun selection too. The staff are usually very welcoming and friendly, but the drinks honestly just aren't worth the line and aren't really worth the price because there's so many other better cafes in this area. I've been here on multiple occasions and I got the mango matcha and recently I got the blueberry matcha and they were just okay. Tried this matcha spot with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. It definitely delivered. I really appreciate that they let you adjust the sweetness level, so I opted for less sugar, and it came out perfectly balanced. I ordered the Matcha One latte with oat milk, and it was honestly so smooth. The matcha itself had a strong, rich flavor without being bitter, and the oat milk complemented it really well. You can tell they don't hold back on the matcha either. I definitely felt the caffeine kick in, which I love. Just a heads up, the space is very small with no table seating, so it's more of a grab and go kind of spot. With that said, the staff was efficient and quick, keeping things moving even in a tight space. Overall, a solid matcha spot if you're looking for quality and a good caffeine boost. Though may have been a bit tricky on a Sunday afternoon, this seemingly standard minimall coffee stand had a line that moved pretty quickly and a friendly staff that kept orders moving smoothly. Nice feel for a grab and go place. Drinks were pretty amazing though. Strawberry matcha was solid but the banana hojicha was something else. Definitely returning for another banana hojicha. read more
