Recently got the burger, fries and a coke. With tax+tip 20. So for 20, I expect a very good burger. Didn't get it. Fries were ok, nothing special. Decent menu/options, but since it was my first time and I live close, I wanted to establish a base line, so I got the classic burger..... American cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion, with light ketchup. That order always tells me how good a place is as it highlights the quality, meat and cooking. The toppings were generous and good. I didn't care for the brioche type bun. The burger was bland. Barely seasoned or not at all. Tasted like it was steamed on the flattop. Now, this was a regular burger (thicker) and not a smashed one. So maybe the smashed ones are better? Not willing to find out. read more

I had driven by Aztec Burger quite a few times before it opened, and was intrigued by the sign. One night, struggling to find something quick opened at 8:30 pm, we decided to pull in and try it. Food Aztec Burgers is a Mexican American fusion type restaurant. They have many different burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches on the best, and many have a Mexican food flair. We ordered the Smashed burger with onion rings and the Blue cheese burger with fries. The costs were very reasonable at $12 each. The fries were better than I expected and the blue cheese burger was really good. 5/5 Service Being late in the night, we were the only ones there. Staff was very friendly and we got our food to go in under 10 minutes, 4/5 Ambiance We did get the food to go, so we didn't get the full dine in experience. The restaurant was nicely setup and had adequate seating. 4/5 I enjoyed my experience at Aztec Burgers. Been wanting to try this place since passing it on the way to my niece's house many times. The food was fantastic....loved my smashed burger & awesome upgraded onion rings! All 4 of us loved what we got...delicious! You order at the counter & they call your # to pick up your food. If they served your food would have made this a 5 star plus their trash cans were so full, it was difficult to empty our trays. The place was low-key with about 10 tables. I will start this review by echoing Jen M in saying that I am bummed about Fat Boy leaving this spot. I loved their pastrami boyger. That said, I am grateful that a place like Aztec Burgers has come in. They do things a little differently here. Burgers with chorizo. Burgers with cheddar sausage. Sonoran hot dogs. Sure, they have some more traditional burger offerings as well but it is those with a twist that sets this place apart. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger today as that is sort of my bench mark item when I try a new burger joint. This is one of those mainstay classics that Aztec does with a twist. They put a BBQ sauce on it. I don't think I've ever had a mushroom burger with BBQ sauce. It was actually a nice touch. Other highlights were the grilled onions and mushrooms plus the loads of melty Swiss cheese. A nice burger and cooked to order so remarkably fresh. Not as abig a burger as a Fat Boy boyger but still fair size. Every burger here at Aztec comes with fries. Natural cut (skins on) and the perfect size cut for me. Somewhere between shoelace and steak cut. They were a couple of minutes over cooked for my liking but not burnt. Just more crispy than I go for. I like a softer fry. These came pre-seasoned with seasoning salt. Some a little more than others. Not bad but I'd like to try another side next time for a small upcharge. Service here was not bad. The food was good. On this visit they had 2 TVs showing the Raiders game. The volume on that could be turned down. I found it hard to hear the guy taking my order as all I could hear was the announcers and crowd on TV. So ambience was not ideal for me. Next time maybe a to go order. And there will be a next time. I need to try more burger options and more side options. read more

If you're looking for a big sloppy fist full of deliciousness, this is the place. We ordered the Aztec Burger and the Chorizo Burger. While we were waiting for our food, I grabbed our drinks and six napkins. My husband laughed and said, "You're going to need more napkins than that!" And he was right. So good though!! Met the owner, Juan. Great service and lots of pride of ownership. Super clean restaurant. Great burgers loaded with toppings and a south of the boarder twist. We'll definitely be back. Yes, it is sad that Fat Boy is gone but Aztec satisfies the same craving I have when I want a good burger and fries. I ordered the BBQ burger which was very big. I ate half of it and my husband ate the rest. He ordered a chili cheese hotdog and loved it. We both had the fries that come with the meal. Next time we will try the onion rings and chili cheese fries. The music was very loud as one influencer remarked. HOLY MOLY!!!! We have been wanting to try this place out since they opened but Everytime we tried we would make it once they were closed since they close early but not today!!! BBQ bacon burger was cooked perfectly with crispy (not floppy) bacon, chili cheese fries had crisp fries and good chili, could have used a smidge more cheese (we like a constipating amount of cheese lol). First timer here. I work at Sunrise Dental Henderson so couple doors down from this place. The owners are my patient here so we adore them. The fact they opened this burger place after FatBoys closed made us so happy. I ordered the SmashBurger comes with Fries and a side of the Chili Cheese Fries. I was expecting the portion size to be smaller but nope it's huge!!! So big or go home right? The Smashburger is amazing, juicy and full of flavor. The fries that came with my burger was nice and crispy. Well seasoned and the chili cheese fries comes with no beans! which is a huge plus for me. The only little complaint I have is the chili cheese fries is a bit too salty for me. But other than that, the ambiance was nice and clean, well put together and we love the owners! The mushrooms were buttery soft which melded into the flavors of the Swiss cheese. The burger had a spread that was creamy, slightly sweet but it added to the contrast of between sweet & savory. The onion rings were huge. I forgot to order ranch, an afterthought for my rings. The young man who took our order was nice enough to slide me a cup. The BBQ Bacon Burger I have to say was better than my burger. I couldn't decide which burger to try, our strategy, we ordered 2 different burgers so we could sample both. But next time I'm ordering BBQ Bacon Burger. It was so good! Lettuce, Tomato. Also, I realized that the French Fries had this seasoning on them that I really liked. Good thing we shared! I do want to come back and try the other burgers. Also, I found that they have hot dogs and wings. While we were eating we watched the game on the large televisions in the dining area. I had a very disappointing experience at Aztec Burger. I specifically asked for my burger to be cooked medium, but was told they only cook it one way, and it came out overcooked and over-salted. The sweet potato fries were also completely burned. When I raised the issue, the manager had an attitude, dismissed my concern, and said this is "the way we cook it." His behavior showed a lack of basic customer service--he should seriously consider taking a course on how to treat customers. There was no attempt to fix the problem or offer a solution. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning. read more

The smashed burger and BBQ burger were really good, as well as the sweet potato fries and chili cheese fries. The only thing that slightly bothered me was that if you upgrade to sweet potato fries, it's $2.50 more than the regular fries, and $3 more more than the regular fries to get chili cheese fries, yet to get a side of sweet potato fries, it's $1 more than regular fries, while the chili cheese fries are $5 more than the regular fries. The cost doesn't quite seem proportional, with the sweet potato fries being a little too high of an extra charge, but maybe that's just me.
