Aztec Burger has become one of our go-to burger spots in Henderson. We've eaten here a few times now and the smashed burgers are consistently on point. I usually order the OG without cheese, and my husband loves the half-and-half burger with chorizo (also without cheese). Both are always flavorful and cooked just right. The portions are great too -- the burgers come with a generous serving of fries, which makes it an even better value. If you're in Henderson and craving a really good smashed burger, Aztec Burger is definitely worth checking out.

Mushroom Swiss Burger & Sweet Potato Fries

My hubby and I had lunch at Aztec Burgers. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger--Angus beef topped with grilled mushrooms and onions--along with a side of sweet potato fries. My hubby had the Aztec burger, made with Angus beef, bacon, cheddar and pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and their Aztec house spread, served with fries. The burgers were well-cooked and flavorful, and the fries were just as good.

Good food, good service, good vibes. I went into Aztec burger and got the signature burger. The Aztec burger a burger topped with a sausage! The burger looks overwhelming but it's not, it's actually a perfect size full of flavor and well prepared 8.5/10 The fries were fresh and crispy and well seasoned 10/10 some of the best fries I've ever had. All in all great place with great food I'll definitely be back

Clean environment, straight forward menu. We got the Aztec burger and the 1/2 beef 1/2 chorizo smash burger with sweet potato fries. Sweet potato fries were under seasoned and lacked flavored. The Aztec burger was enjoyable with the spicy cheddar sausage inside. Smash burger was acceptable, wish I would have got the western bbq smash! Grilled onions were the best part. The Diet Coke tasted off. However, good service from the employees! Coming from California, this was an affordable burger joint that I'd try again. This time, French fries and a regular burger!

WOW! This is a hidden gem, tucked away off Horizon Ridge and Arroyo Grande. Aztec Burgers is a new Henderson fast casual spot that took over what used to be another burger joint, Fat Boy. A perfect smash burger that hit all the right notes, ultra thin, crispy edged patties with that golden, savory meat lace. We had a couple of Smash burgers, fries, and the hotdog. Love that they use brioche buns for the burgers and the seasoned fries were so good ! Yummy These burgers are made fresh , juicy and cooked to perfection , AND they come with fries! The prices are very reasonable, too! The service was friendly and impressively quick, which really added to the overall experience. The ambiance is casual and bright. It is a counter service restaurant. It should be said ,this is the best smash burger in the valley. Overall, a shockingly great smash burger, and my favorite at this point. We highly recommend it!!! It is definitely worth the visit!!!

This certainly wasn't the lightest meal I've ever eaten, but it was pretty damn good. The ambiance is pretty standard, but the restaurant felt clean and expectations of ambiance are not usually on the menu for a local burger joint. I found the menu to be a creative mix of classic and international flavors. We all went with the half chorizo, half beef smash burger and while hefty, was unique and delicious. If you're sensitive to sodium, I'd probably skip this one. The onion rings were solid as well. Service was standard, but friendly. Overall, a nice little hole in the wall for a creative take on classic burgers.

Best smash burger ever! Half n Half-chorizo and beef patty. To die for. Sonora Dog was also really good. Both come with really good fries! Not expensive for the amount of food you receive. Fast service. Give these guys a try!

I saw this place trending on TikTok and then passed them on the way home from work and kept saying I was going to give them a try and kept forgetting every time I was looking for food. This past weekend when one of our food choices fell Through I remembered them so we decided to give them a try. My first thought after giving them a try was why the heck didn't we try them before now. The staff were nice and friendly and patient since it was our first time there. The Sonora dog was really good. They found a way to balance everything that goes on it and all the different flavors really worked well together. We got the smash burger and I think they may have the best one in Vegas. The patties are cooked perfectly. They have the perfect cook and seasoning on it. They don't over do it on the toppings at all so the flavor of the burger shines. The burger and the hotdog both come with fries and they prices are affordable If you have not been you should

The Choriburger revived my long-lost burger lust! I was never really a huge fan of burgers. Even with a ubiquitous In-n-Out on nearly every corner in my former life, I was not particularly moved to tears by a good burger... until now. If this place expanded their portions a bit, added Zucchini Fries to their menu, and bumped up their Chili Cheese Fry game, they would be unstoppable. Though, my hubbie thinks their Chili Cheese Fries are fine just as they are. Until then, I'll settle for their addictive thick-cut Sweet Potato Fries.

Old-school RTS fans, the burger scene finally finished teching. Aztec Burgers is a new Henderson fast casual spot that took over what used to be another burger joint, Fat Boy. Located in a strip mall off Horizon Ridge, they usually if not always have enough parking, and they weren't busy at all when I stopped in for Saturday lunch. I've been getting into the smashburger trend lately, and their menu displayed some "new product" options. I chose the Half & Half Smashed ($13.00), which is half and half chorizo and angus. Both patties were smashed and had decent crispiness. I was really impressed with the blend of grease, chipotle spread, and caramelized onions providing a rich but balanced flavor that never grew tiresome. The pepper jack and muenster cheeses were gooey and ooey, whatever that is. The sliced jalapeños were actually seeded or at least quite mild, so I got some bites of crunch and freshness without burning my palate at all. The potato bun was soft and held everything together the entire time. Overall, a shockingly great smash burger, and my favorite at this point. They included fries in the price. They were pretty good, and perhaps they're the same thing that Fat Boy served in their last year or so of operation here. They're moderately thick and mostly crispy, but they did run a tad salty today. At best they didn't really add much to my chosen burger, so I just snacked on it on the side with ketchup. This is a counter-service restaurant. You can get a cup for water for free, and the water is actually obtained from the tea dispenser. I am very interested in trying Aztec Burger's other smash burgers now. Maybe I'll try their regular burgers or even their hot dogs, wings, etc. I dare say that the chorizo and beef smash burger is a must-try for burger fans or any non-vegetarians.

First time trying this restaurant , I ordered takeout and the onion rings and fries were warm and crispy! The wings were so nice and flavorful, I got the Aztec burger - talk about a party in your mouth with flavor! This was so good I can't wait to go and dine in to try their other foods. So delicious!

Good burger and good services. We made a quick stop for a burger and cheese fries and this place did not disappoint. We order led smash burgers and the flavor and patties had a greasy crisp on the edges. Fries are included with the burger, I added chili and cheese on my fries and they were generous with the chill, cheese and onions (just the way I like). The restaurant was clean and had a chill environment. I would go back if in the area.

Didn't have what I was looking for on the menu, however, I ordered the Western Smashburger and made it my own. Had them remove the BBQ sauce and add their classic sauce. Also upgraded to the sweet potato fries. Burger was delicious! My only recommendation would be to add this burger as a regular on the menu and give it an option for a fried egg

Great food! We had the smashed burger with fries, onion rings, and chili cheese fries. All were excellent. The food is an excellent value, with a burger and fries for only $12. There is plenty of interior seating and a soda fountain. We will definitely be back! read more

I didn't know that Fat Boy had been replaced by another burger joint. After reading about it on a group on FB, I decided to give it a try. My husband got the Chorizo burger with fries, I got the blue cheese burger with onion rings. The onion rings were my favorite: breaded lightly and slated perfectly. The burgers were juicy and fresh. These are not frozen burgers which Fat Boy served. This place is the real thing! Hubby loved his chorizo burger! I hope they make it because their food is so delicious. We will be back to try some different stuff. read more

Food was burned with bitter taste and the manager refused to solve the problem. The buns were obviously burned, the manager even said "but the meat was not burned" meaning he expected us to just throw the buns out and manage to eat the rest. He said this amount of char/ burn is normal. If you are health conscious, please don't go here. read more

My husband and I were completely shocked with how deliciously flavorful everything was. We ordered their Aztec burger with the chili cheese fries and were blown away. The young lady who took my order was friendly and answered all our questions about the menu - the cooks were super nice too! The interior is very clean and polished, you could eat with a decent sized group there! It's definitely going to be a go-to burger spot for us instead of hitting up the nearby fast food drive-thrus; the prices are about the same. read more

Stumbled across this place and was so grateful I did. I ordered the Aztec burger which by the way it comes with fries. (They also offer sweet potato fries & onion rings as a $2 upgrade) The burger was perfectly seasoned, the sausages were the perfect addition I never knew I needed in a burger. There was also a chile toreado (grilled jalapeño) on top just to add the last touch. Overall great experience. Will be coming back to try the wings. read more

So, we tried Aztec Burgers today. My husband had the Aztec Burger and I had a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. My Grilled Cheese was good. The Sweet Potato Fries good ( but I had asked for Sweet Potato Fries and they gave me regular fries) Had to let them know I had asked for Sweet Potato Fries and they promptly replaced them with Sweet Potato Fries. But by the time I received them, I was almost done eating. My husband's Aztec Burger was very messy, and not much meat .. basically lettuce, onion and tomato with a very small hamburger. The ambiance is just like your normal fast food place. It was very clean. The staff not too attentive.. but hey, it's fast food. I guess we are just very spoiled.. We are used to going to places where they do pay attention to the customer, even if it's just to ask if the food is good/ all right. I gave three stars based on our overall experience. You should go and give it a try for yourself. You may love it! Ours was just an Average experience. read more

So my family and i were trying to eat at AyAyAy the mexican restaurant next door, but it was closed for a private party. We walked by Aztec on the way back to the car and saw the burgers in the window and they looked really good. I am so glad we ended up choosing to try this place because i love a good burger and Aztec has amazing smash burgers. If you really like a smash burger witch crispy edges, great burger sauce, and any other topping you could want, you will love this place. Definitely one of the best smash burgers ive had in Las Vegas. They also have a wide variety of other burgers as well as hot dogs, chicken, and wings. Aztec has items that are sort of mexican fusion like burgers that are half chorizo and beef. I will definitely be back because it's that good. Also helps that its so close to where I live. Prices are also cheaper than other smash burger places, and frys are included! A+ Aztec. read more

First time trying it and everything we ordered was amazing! We walked in ordered our food and waited a few minutes but everything was fresh and delicious. Everyone was super nice and very helpful. Ordered the Aztec burger and fries for pickup--food was hot, ready right on time, and the guy at the register was friendly and dialed in. Zero complaints on service or quality. Five stars. That said. I feel morally obligated to mention that the burger did not come with the roasted jalapeño toothpicked to the top as pictured--aka the entire reason I ordered it. I'm not mad, just... disappointed. Like the way I'd be if one of my kids said they were dropping out of college to join an MLM. I've built my life around fresh roasted jalapeños, and now I have to live with the knowledge that I was this close to greatness and denied at the finish line. Still, killer burger. I'll be back--and next time I'm bringing my own jalapeño, just in case. read more

My first time here and it was very tasty. I ordered the Half and Half mash and my wife ordered the OG Smash. Both were cooked perfectly with the crispy edges. I was very happy to see mine came with fresh jalapeños instead of pickled. To me, fresh is better with burgers. Other than the food, the service was excellent. The whole staff was very friendly and inviting. People should definitely try this place. Prices are good and food is amazing. read more

This use to be Fat boy burger and now they renamed and opened Aztec burger so I came here to have a burger and try it out since fat boy burger wasn't the best! but it was closed for maintance during a weekday at 11:23am when yelp shows open. Common guys you just opened and your closed already lol not a good look and I guess I won't be back due to this unsuccessful trip to get lunch lol Good luck!!! Oh my goodness! I have found my new favorite take out location. Conveniently located near Sun City MacDonald Ranch. My wife and I first visit. First let me share our meal experience. I had the OG Smash burger with everything. I have never had such a juicy burger. Delicious. French fries are fresh potatoes and very well seasoned. My wife had the mushroom burger. She loved it. Again, very juicy and fresh. Onion Rings were excellent. As you can tell, we had an excellent experience and I am already studying the menu for my next order. For those that like to dine in, several tables to accommodate 12 - 18 people. TV and music playing, nothing too noisy. Price - you'll pay about $10 more than a similar meal at Carl's Jr, but I assure you there is no comparison in quality of food. This place is very good. Best of luck. We will be back. Dave read more

I'm not sure why some restaurants expect first time customers to have everything figured out in a few minutes. Every question I asked seemed to irritate her. She barely made eye contact and acted genuinely bothered that I was there. When I asked what sauces were available, she actually sighed before answering. It's a strange feeling when you're trying to support a business and spend your money there, yet you're treated as though you're inconveniencing the staff. What made the interaction more frustrating is that there wasn't a single person behind me in line. There was no rush, no crowd, and no obvious reason for the impatience. A little courtesy and patience go a long way, especially with first-time customers. As for the food, it looked beautiful in the photos, but the flavor didn't quite match the presentation. The boneless wings were overwhelmingly salty. Easily the saltiest thing I've had in a long time. The bone-in wings, however, were flavorful and enjoyable. The fries were well prepared, and they provided a generous serving of ranch, which was appreciated. In the end, the food simply wasn't good enough to justify the attitude. Customer service matters, especially in the hospitality industry. No one is asking for staff to be overly accommodating or put on a performance, but BASIC patience, professionalism, and kindness should be expected. First-time customers will have questions, and that's part of the job. If this business wants continued support from the community, the customer experience needs as much attention as the food. Aztec Burgers in Henderson is absolutely phenomenal. Five stars, no hesitation. I've had burgers all over the country, the fancy ones, the overpriced ones, the ones that try too hard, and let me tell you -- Aztec is better. These are real burgers, the kind that make you stop mid-bite and say, this is incredible. The patties are juicy, cooked perfectly, full of flavor. You can taste the quality right away. The buns are fresh, soft but sturdy, holding everything together without falling apart. Tremendous balance. The toppings are spot on -- crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, onions with the right crunch. Nothing soggy, nothing weak. Just done right. The fries are excellent too. Hot, crispy, salted just enough. No limp fries here, only the good stuff. Pair them with one of their shakes and you've got a meal that beats out the big chains every single time. The atmosphere is comfortable, welcoming, exactly what a burger spot should be. You walk in and you know you're in for something special. And the staff? Fantastic. Friendly, quick, and they treat you like they actually want you there. That makes a huge difference. Five stars. I finally thought I'd give the new burger spot in Henderson a fair shake…read more Ruby's Shake Shop is a more casual take on the Ruby's Diner chain from SoCal. This location opened just outside of Green Valley Ranch just last year, and I decided to invite my friend over here instead of our usual late evening burger stop. I tried the Classic Burger ($9.99). It was pretty solid, with a decent thick patty, hefty bun, some lettuce and tomato, and a burger sauce. It wasn't that exciting compared to some of the other popular burger chains though, and it was giving lots of California vibes in the sense that there wasn't a lot of fattiness. I did get it with a combo (+$4.99) though. The onion rings were crispy and mostly were bite-through-able, and they went alright with the ranch. I do think a 1:2 or 1:3 ketchup:ranch mixture might be the play, but I didn't investigate thoroughly yet. I also tried my friend's fries, which were okay but not that memorable either. My rating was really not gonna be awesome except for my drink (also included in the aforementioned combo). It was my take on an Arnold Palmer, a roughly 1:1 mix of their unsweetened tea and their lemonade. I later found out that the tea is a passion fruit tea, which is why I was getting fruity/tropical vibes that aren't usually part of this tea. And the sweetness ended up so addictively ideal that I could hardly stop drinking the thing. I will be back to Ruby's when I really crave that Arnold Palmer, and hopefully I'll figure out what to do to find a better entree on their menu. Maybe my friend's chili cheese dog could be a good starting point.

Not very appealing looking. I really wanted to like this place and hoped it would succeed beyond what the previous two BBQ places did in that space. For now, I will stick with Mission BBQ.
