Dark meat was nice with the charred meat, but white meat was super dry. Garlic Shrimp Plate- small shrimp with way too much undercooked garlic. Don't expect to talk to anyone. *Tip* I used that whole plate and threw it on the pan to make garlic shrimp fried rice. Teriyaki Burger with Avocado and Cheese. Really wanted to like this, but just wasn't there. Burger dry, bread dry but soaked up Teri sauce. Avocado and cheese, what's not to love? Mac salad, not great. Pickled Cabbage, add a little Shoyu (Soy Sauce). Maybe I'm biased because the 2nd part of my childhood I grew up eating Fuji Burger in HB? There are usually around 10-20 people dining in every time I have gone, which is quite a bit for a fast food place. It is located in a plaza on the NE corner of San Gabriel and Huntington, alongside Trader Joes, Starbucks, and even a CVS. The parking lot is awfully busy; we'll blame trader joes for that. Food: The curry fries are a favorite because who doesn't love fries? The curry sauce is light, yet sometimes excessive. The crinkle cut fries get soggy toward the end. Nonetheless, a great snack! The charring of the chicken is why I don't have B-Man's rated very high. I understand that the chicken is grilled over a flame, but during my last visit, every piece of chicken was charred excessively. Maybe it was left on the grill too long, but at least you can recook it if the chicken is going to be that charred. On another note, I really enjoy the Tsukemono cabbage. The teriyaki sauce is on the salty side. I advise you ask for it on the side so you can control the amount of sauce. Service: The employees are kind and do their work. No complaints here. I would recommend B-Mans, but there are a few issues that prevent me from coming here more often. Got a doozy of a bad cashier today, full of attitude. I said good morning, just got a blank stare back. I ordered, misheard him and apologized when he corrected me, got a blank stare back. Was with my daughter so decided to let it go and it raise a fuss. He gave my receipt, I said thank you, again just a stare. The lady who was prepping the chicken bowl needs to be trained better. The teriyaki that was squeezed into my chicken bowl literally drench the entire chicken bowl. I observed that it was was not a few squeeze but one done with enough force to empty out the contents of the bottle. I suggest the owner reveal the cameras to take note. Also , an additional concern was when she was chopping the chicken a piece fell on the counter. She took the piece of chicken on the counter with tongs and appear to threw it in my chicken bowl. When I brought the food home it was inedible. The rice was soaked in teriyaki sauce and was very soggy. I had to throw away the food. The lady taking the order appeared standoffish. B-Man's Teriyaki & Burgers has a place near and dear to my heart. I'm not sure if I'm biased since I've been coming here since they've opened. Their curry fries are unique and a must try if you've never had it. Spam Musubi is pretty standard but they're good as well. Usually I go with one of the combos, either the mini chicken bowl & chinese chicken salad meal or the ABC burger & mini chicken bowl combo. The Louisiana hot sauce and Sriracha are available too so be sure to use them if you're dining in or you can ask if you're ordering out. Unfortunately parking has gotten a lot trickier here now that Trader Joe's has recently opened up. Be patient and look for parking, usually there will be a spot open. read more

I used to get the teriyaki beef and curry combo bowl, but as of recently, the beef has been tasting more like beef jerky and the curry tastes like they put a lot of flour in to thicken it. I had enough for two meals...not bad for a price tag under $5. The teriyaki is just right, not too sweet and just the right consistency. There is also a generous amount of veggies and rice. Although I did not have their curry fries this time, in the past, it has been consistently good. Even though B-Man's is setup as a fast food restaurant, the food is pretty tasty. My wife order a #3 is ABC burger it's avocado,B-Man's Teriyaki sauce and cheese,you can choice what of cheese my wife order swiss cheese also come with a mimi chicken bowl and a 20oz drink. I order #1 chicken bowl,3pc egg rolls and a 20oz drink. I pick up our meal and I can see the aroma from the food I couldn't wait to take a bite of my chicken bowl. My chicken bowl tasted really good,the chicken was charbroiled and the flavors were very good and even B-Man's Teriyaki sauce was amazing good. The three egg rolls were very good but wasn't greasy but they crispy and I really enjoy my meal. My wife enjoy her #3 especially her ABC burger because her love avocado on her burgers. She also enjoy her mimi chicken bowl. Overall we enjoy the food at B-Man's Teriyaki & burgers,we will come back again. The cheese was not melted on top of the patty and the fixings were sloppily assembled. I plan to go back and try some other menu items because there is a large variety of choices. The service was ok, the order taker was not friendly and I felt unwelcome. It was my first time and I took a while to scour through the menu. When my food was ready the handoff went well, and that staff member was much friendlier. Everything was packed up to go even though I ate in, not sure if there is an option for 'eat in', the order taker did not give me one if so. Would have cut the packaging waste in half. We ordered the abc combo, a small order of curry fries(give or take 3-4$), and the killer b plate($12.00?). the total came to about $30.00 with some change left to spare. I had to check out this B-Man's joint upon hearing rave reviews from my friends about their Chinese Chicken Salad. Apparently it's the best salad in town. I definitely had to try it for myself just to see if they really do deserve such a great reputation. This place is sort of like your L&L, Shakas, Hawaiian fare but also with burgers! I really wanted to order some musubi but was able to fight off the temptation with my every being. You can get a small or large Chinese Chicken Salad. I decided to play it safe and got the small. They don't mention it in the description on the menu but it comes with almonds. Yuck. It really is a good amount of lettuce and shredded white chicken. Make sure to get the wonton skins on the side! The sauce goes perfectly well with the salad. It definitely gives it some good flavor. The roasted sesame seeds also added to that. Overall, I'd say this salad had nothing special to bring to the table. It tasted like something I could easily make at home. We weren't impressed at all and probably won't be coming back. read more

I was recommended to this place by kids I tutored. The best thing to get here is the Teriyaki cheeseburger. The curry fries and the salads are too cheap-quality and easy to make at home, but that's just me. The fries are nothing special and the curry is the exact same taste as Vermont Curry you get at Asian markets! haha. The salads are not that great for the price; the chicken is dry and I feel the veggie portion isn't enough to be called a "salad" because it's also overloaded with won ton strips (1/3 chicken, 1/3 lettuce, 1/3 won ton strips) and they encourage you to douse your salad with sauce by giving you two packs *shudder*. Maybe that's why people love getting it. Almost everyone who comes here is overweight and obese so control your portions, people! The food comes quickly if it's not crowded, and the quality is consistent each and every time. But I can't say much about service here; I have never seen anyone wipe down or clean up a table, but that's probably beause it's always so busy! They really should wipe things down more often because the food gets mess, and people are constantly getting up to get soda and napkins, making everything sticky. Luckily they have a bathroom there! B-Man's really knows how to pack a bowl! The food here is pretty good, and they make it in a flash. So far I have tried the chicken and beef teriyaki bowls (I like the beef better!). Each bowl comes with Rice (additonal for Brown, Cabbage (additional for vegetable, which I get) The only part that freaks me out is that they ladle the vegetables out of an ominous white paint bucket... Who cares, it's delicious! Tip: Always ask for extra teriyaki, but if you want it on the side, they charge you $.30. The only qualm I have about this place is the price. It's about $7 for a small bowl, without a drink or anything. It's on my way home from school, so the location is ideal. If not, I would probably go to Mako Bowl/Taisho where I can get a large for about $6. read more

They really need to lose the massively stemmy iceberg lettuce from their burgers. The cashier provided service with a smile, and my food was ready in short order. For a fast-food format restaurant, B-Man's has a fairly comprehensive and diverse menu. I will definitely be back to sample some of their other offerings. P.S. B-Man's is low carb friendly - they will sub rice for veggies/cabbage at nominal cost, and bread at no extra cost. How have I not found this spot. B-man's is comparable to waba and flame broiler but they sell burgers on top of everything else. They also have katsu rice and really good katsu sauce. If you can't decide between a rice bowl or a burger, they have a combo for that as well so you can have both. They're still killing it during covid times and props to them for making everything easy to order and pick up. For now, I've only tried their rice dishes but I'll be back for that burger anyday now. read more

I went to high school in the SGV not too far from B-Man but lived in the valley. Back in the day, I passed by B-Man's and Spike's Teriyaki on each end of the SGV. Out of the three including Yoshinoya, Spike's was the best and B-Man's came third to Yoshinoya. Too bad there are no more Spike's Teri locations. I was in the mood for teriyaki and was around Huntington Drive in Pasadena and decided to go for some B-Man's.. I ordered a beef teryi bowl which came with tsukemono cabbage which is like a pickled cabbage. I digged into this bowl and was a bit displeased. Sauce was too sweet and too much. The beef wasn't warm, though the rice was. It would of made a huge difference if the beef was warm and had some char on it. I won't be coming back since I've had better. I miss Spike's!! read more

This spot is so very busy even during COVID! Their kitchen is pumping out good food. The chicken teriyaki is the BEST. The chicken is big and moist... order a extra sauce though. The beef teriyaki is pretty good, again needs more sauce but don't sleep on this, get the combo PLATE (not the bowl) if you want both! I got the rib plate with 4 pieces of rib. The rib pieces are very yummy, but super thin, makes sense since it is so quick. I probably would not order this again. I always judge different spots based on their mac salad. This one is little mac pieces and has celery. You'll need some salt, but its a okay basic accompaniment to their plates! I wouldn't order it on the side to eat alone. Teriyaki dishes are okay at this place, but disappointed with the Korean short ribs. They were overcooked (some charred) and not tender. The Chinese chicken salad is okay, but I would rather drive to Rascal's in the South Bay area! I would have given three stars, but downgraded to two, since I didn't get the sense that that the place was clean. You can see the kitchen easily beyond the order counter, and the workers (especially the ones who cook the food) seem untidy and careless.
