I stumble B Nutritious through Yelp.. I wanted to give it a try because it has everything I was looking for a quick bite. I order the Kung Pao chicken with brown rice. It was really flavorful! Usually when I order kung pao from other places, it's usually served oily and drench with soy sauce. But B Nutritious actually serve it healthy and tasty at the same time. I can't wait to come back to try more of their meals. I also order their mango tango protein smoothie shake. It was really refreshing and tasty! I'm interested in trying their other shakes. The owner even offer to substitute some of the ingredients since I was allergic to one of the ingredient which was really thoughtful! I wanted to add to my review to help offset the petty rude people with have chips on their shoulders! I have worked the food industry and you cannot please everybody and there's always a critic who will unjustly review you because their life sucks or having a bad day or just like to complain. I was in the restaurants for close to 10 years and i know Establishments, will go above and beyond to make their customers happy if you're kind and reasonable, I'm sure things can be resolved with respect and dignity. Eating healthy it's not cheap if you want cheap food, there are cheap and unhealthy options. If you want to eat, clean and healthy, this is the place for you. They also have other items that have more ingredients and more flavors. Athletes bodybuilders die hard healthy people are fine with eating plain white rice, lightly seasoned proteins, and undercooked vegetables. Compare that with highly processed, proteins, sauces, GMO vegetables and adulterated, rice, pasta, and french fries. You get what you pay for. I've been to their first location in El Monte, but now I'm in South Bay. So I'm excited that they opened one in the OC. Located just next to the Crunch gym, how convenient. Food is made to order. I love that this location offers breakfast. I hope to come in and try it. Came in for lunch: had the pinapple shrimp fried rice; opt for brown rice. One of my favorite dishes. I also ordered their peanut chicken bowl to-go for the fiance. He thoroughly enjoyed it. The cold brew is perfectly brewed. I prefer an earthy flavored coffee. I came here for a late lunch on a Tuesday. There were 2-3 other customers having lunch there and a couple groups came and went. I was welcomed by a very friendly cashier. She was joyful and helped me with my order. She also gave me a mini bite-sized cookie for my Yelp check-in. I ordered brown rice, asparagus, and tilapia. I also got a side of sweet potato. It took about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. Once it was ready, the cashier personally walked it out to me instead of handing it over the counter. There are bar seats facing the window/parking lot and bench seats for those who are waiting for their orders or people who want to eat there. My meal was hot and fresh. The brown rice had the perfect texture, not too mushy or too hard. The tilapia had just the right amount of seasoning and tasted a tad bit tangy, probably due to added lemon but the citrus taste was nice. I really enjoyed the asparagus because it was easy to bite into, not over or under-cooked. This was the first time I ate sweet potato in this form, like a scoop (or 2) of ice cream. It was hot and fresh like the rest of the meal, sweet and melted in my mouth. This was not just another meal, but a quality meal that required special care and quality ingredients. I'm so glad I found this place! I started doing meal prepping with them 2 weeks now (9 meals). It's very convenient and simple, since I have a chaotic schedule. I normally don't get time to cook all the times. The food is delicious and healthy. I love the chicken, steak and ground turkey plate! As I read some of the reviews, yes the food "does" looks simple ("not what I expected"). But then again, healthy sometimes looks bland and boring! It all depends how you want to look at it. I visited B Nutritious tonight for the first time and I had an amazing experience. Johnny took my order and he was super friendly. The food was so good!! I built my own meal with potatoes, chicken, and asparagus. I also ordered a couple of other dishes to try; beef and broccoli and the house noodles with chicken. Both were super yummy. Chill place, great concept. Delicious and nutritious is definitely the way to go! Love the seating areas and decor. The wood and green theme works very well with the wholesome vibe and is tied together nicely. The first time I came here it was a hot day and they did not have air conditioning but they had floor fans keeping it kinda cool. But I was breaking a little sweat while I was waiting for my food that day. This time it's pretty cool in here so I'm guessing they have a/c now??? I've only had the shrimp fried rice for food; which was great tasting and that spicy sauce that it came with had a nice kick. Wish it had more shrimp, but we all know how that goes. For those who rated the restaurant, with less stars, for bland & tasteless food, are those who most likely eat at Panda Express, burger joints, or any place serving tasty junk! Hey, I'm a sucker for tasty junk! Keep in mind, this is clean healthy eating. If you've been eating unhealthy foods it will take time to detox from the added preservatives and sugers, to see what "Simple, Healthy, Wholesome, Eating" should taste like! I ordered their Beef and Broccoli. Its cooked fresh to order and was out fairly quick. It was well cooked, nice and tender. It comes with some shredded carrots and rice. If you need more flavor ask for the creamy hot sauce or add more seasoning to your liking. Remember not to add things like bbq sauce, it defeats the purpose of clean healthy food. It was slow as I was the only one in there, but I noticed them cooking up a storm in the back. I later learned from the cashier who greeted me and took my order that they offer meal preps. He also recommended other options to munch and drink so it reflected the variety of noms they provided. That's why they were so busy in that kitchen. They're prepping meals! The menu is so simple, I chose to "build my own meal". You'll see my picture of my basic meal below. I'm giving this place 5 star because wow.. What a great concept! CONCEPT is now going to be an additional criteria which I'll base my yelp ratings on. It's located in the same plaza as crunch fitness and wild side yoga (smart move on location!). Inside is very clean and minimal; you could see the kitchen so you know your food is made in a clean environment. The staff was very patient even though I asked a lot of questions. The food was decent. I got build your own plate with ground turkey, brown rice, and bokchoy. The rice taste like cardboard but if you add a lot of sauce it's okay haha.
