Yesterday, I ordered delivery from Baba's Chicken for my wife and I. This spot has been on our radar for some time. My wife and I were exhausted as my wife gave birth to our beautiful baby boy. Our hospital resided in Riverside and seeing that Baba's Chicken is in Riverside, we thought yesterday was the perfect day to try it out. First off, the food was done and delivered to us much faster than previous times I've used GrubHub or any other online delivery service. We ordered a chicken sandwich combo each The chicken is very moist and flavorful. The seasoning is amazing. The initial smell reminds me of chili cheese fritos, which I love. The bun was soft. The fries were perfect and portioned perfectly. They provide you with 1x ranch and 1x of your secret sauce, including ketchup and honey packets and lots of napkins. I can't say anymore amazing things about their food and quick delivery until today, where I let them know on their Instagram page that we appreciated their food during our time at the hospital and will be coming back. They direct messaged us with a very wonderful reply as well as free food the next time we go back. They did not have to do that and to show that much generosity and friendliness says a lot about this establishment. Before I continue, I want to say I love fried chicken sandwiches. My wife and I have gone to Howlin Ray's about 10 times, Dave's Hot Chicken, BirdiesLA. Because of these locations, I can no longer enjoy a simple chicken sandwich from Chick Fil A. With that said, I feel this spot is up there with the likes of the behemoths I listed, especially Howlin Rays. I want to say I appreciate their food, service, and friendliness. My husband and I were referred by one of the law enforcement during the holiday season. We don't live in riverside. We are here for the holidays. It was 10pm and the food lounge closes at 11pm. Our order was simple fries, the girl at the front was extremely rude, unfriendly, full of attitude, and wouldn't take our order as if they are closed. We only wanted to order simple fries. Its disgusting that management would hire an individual that lacks customer service. The food was amazing and always has been, this is entirely based on service. I placed an online order at 4:19 as I was in the area and it would be easier to pick up so that I'm not around too many people. My order was not ready until 5:09. The girl at the counter, who was so sweet, informed me that they prioritize in person orders before online orders. So if it is a busy day, your order will be made after everyone else's. If it's not a busy day, I would assume that your order gets made very quickly. Next time I'll just get in line. read more

This little gem has an incredible selection, a friendly, accommodating staff, and a delicious, authentic Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. No really, it's THAT good. Omg!!! Talk about DELICIOUS!!! Wow, I had the mini for lunch and the portion was just right! The coleslaw was not overpowering and the pickles added that tangy justification for this sinful bliss. Okay, love-hate relationship with this little FoodLab joint.... on the one hand, the fries and sandwich were tasty and wonderful! On the other hand, it was far too spicy (and I'm a huge fan of spice!). I believe the online ordering system was a bit messed up and had the spice levels out of order, my friend and I could hardly finish the sandwiches we got (again, as Asians, we can usually HANDLE our spice LOL). Got Baba's Hot Sandwich which was very big and came with fries. It's a little on the pricy side. The combo is $16 with tax. I didn't care for the ranch it came with (tasted like watery Hidden Valley ranch) but the other sauce it came with was good! Reminded me of Cane's sauce. After aimlessly roaming around the Riverside Food Lab I stumbled upon Babas Chicken. Really helpful staff, I ordered the extreme spicy chicken sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese. The sandwich was good, not super spicy and didn't really have a crazy lotta flavor. Same goes for the macaroni and cheese, and even had a piece of saran wrap in it. Great Customer service, Not much of a long wait the sandwich is a good size, nice and crispy BUT there was no flavor. The sauce used don't taste like anything, the fries are bland.
