Everything was oddly not sweet enough at all; like they forgot sugar. The cakes had the strange gummy texture of a GF cake but they didn't mention if it was or not on the menu. The bread pudding had the bitter artificial taste of cheap white bread and zero flavor. They even call one item "the best cake ever" and it was the most mid, gummy, drowned in caramel to try and save it wanna be sticky toffee pudding. My whole party was confused by how bad they were. We ordered the burger one for each which was pretty filling. The shrimp ceviche was good and the Chile Quiles. The service was a bit slow which is why I didn't get them 5 stars. With non stop drinks order they made sure to attend us at full capacity. Environment is prefect for any celebration and good night out. Had brunch with my bestie today, and it was absolutely delicious. The tapas style set up is perfect for people who like to sample multiple things. I'm one of these people that likes to take portions of everything to try haha. We had the chilaquiles which were divine and perfect for 2. We also had the shrimp and polenta which we liked the least. I love this little spot! It's (in the most literal way) a hole in the wall. The entrance brings memory to Harry Potter's 9 3/4 platform- even the address signals that. As you walk through the tunnel to the restaurant, you're transported to some European alley in the 19th century. A few "wow's, omg's, it's so cute, I love it!" caused a few heads to turn. I honestly fell in love with this place. It was straight out of a Jane Eyre novel, cute date spot. I had made a reservation but for the time, 8pm, there were enough spots inside to sit. The real magic happens outside, though. There's a giant tree, cute lights, gravel, a cute hot air balloon lantern. It's a beautiful setting for a quiet dinner, very romantic. You eat your meal by the flickering light of a single candle. My friend and I made a reservation on Thursday night for a Saturday morning reservation and couldn't have been happier with our decision. We got there a few min early and the hostess told us that we had originally booked a table in the outdoor courtyard, which it sounded like it was pretty separated from the main garden area (where all the action is going on). Luckily they had a last minute opening in the main garden area so she offered us a spot there. We happily said yes and thanked her. The main garden area is so freaking cute! Great vibes. It felt like a little secret garden/hole in the wall that you would never know existed if you were just walking by on the street. My friend and I had a great table and had the BEST server, Daniella. I could go on and on about her...she was the absolute best! She was friendly, helpful, attentive, sweet, and knowledgable. Ask for her if you can! We started with 90 min bottomless drinks ($30)...The best part about the bottomless here is that you can switch up your drinks (mimosa, bellini, wine, sparkling wine, sangria, sparkling sangria, beer) so you can try it all if you want. Amazing. Now on to the food. Daniella sold us on the french toast immediately (do NOT skip this!). We also ordered the Chilaquiles, Shawarma Tacos, and the Free-Range Egg Pizza. The first time I came here, I had such a fun time and to be honest, I REALLY wanted to say I like this place but last night's dinner completely changed my mind. Food quality / ambiance: Let me start the the semi good news. I ordered the burrata caprese, stuffed mushrooms and gorgonzola pasta. The burrata came with a tasty sauce, I think it was a type of pesto sauce which complimented the dish well. The stuff mushrooms were AMAZING and super juicy. Also, the mushrooms were perfect sizes - not too big, not too small. The pasta had some bite to it but unfortunately, it was very dry and bland. It could've used some extra sauce. As for the noodles itself, I think it would help if the noodle was cooked in a slightly salty water. In terms of the ambiance, if you are looking for a romantic, tapas place with moderate loudness - this is the place for you! Customer Service: Now for the disappointing news, I came her prime time for dinner around 6pm. The hosts that helped me were extremely sweet and welcoming which was great. As soon as I was seated, the server came to me twice within a few min timeframes asking what I wanted. This made me feel like I was being rushed and uncomfortable right off the bat. As dinner went on, I could tell it started to really pick up which is understandable but then, my server changed about 3x (I'm not sure why because from the looks of it, there was a TON of staff) - none of which introduced themselves. They would just say "I'm your new server." Or "I'm replacing the other server." Also, the servers who's shift ended didn't bother to say goodbye either. This actually made me feel like none of the staff cared about the customer service at this point. Toward the end of dinner, I was finishing up my drink and a random server who wasn't even my server, asked me when I was leaving because there is another reservation. I went ahead and told him I was actually just finishing up my drink and leaving shortly. This was one of the rudest things that's ever happened to me EVER. To me, customer service is one of the driving factors to obtain recurring customers. Although I did enjoy the food and ambiance, the customer service level that I experience trumps all the good... BUT THEN... as she pulls out her id, shit takes a turn for the worst. daniela looks her up and down, and keeps going back and forth scanning the id and my friend's face. she questions the id, repeating over and over that "this cannot be her" "this doesn't look like her" "she can't accept the id." my friend, offended but still keeping calm, pulls out other cards with the same name as her REAL id, and still daniela goes on a tangent about how it just can't be. she then goes to call her manager, to either confirm or, maybe out of embarrassment for her fucked assumption, to come by our table and stare at this id again ... -_- manager was giving *argumentative* :((( ////:: like sir, we don't wanna argue, but we need you to understand that it was disrespectful and ignorant of your server to stand here and question someone's identity after multiple proofs of identification. ****might i note**** if they were that concerned about the authentification of an ID, they should invest in an ID scanner, instead of relying on the human eyes of two seemingly prejudiced people who can't even comprehend what it is and who they are looking at. whatever, he came and said sorry at the end of our lil *back and forth conversation* and tried to explain the law to us that we're extremely aware of, and have no problem abiding. Came here for a birthday with a larger group and it was beautiful! The restaurant is tucked away but once you walk through the corridor, there is a beautiful outdoor patio with greenery! The drinks were great! The Bacari Bramble cocktail and the orange gin drink (totally forgot the name) had a good amount of alcohol and were tasty. My friends and I enjoyed munching on all the smaller plates, but the stuffed mushroom, Asian pear Brie pizza, and the cauliflower were our faves. The dishes that weren't so good were the petit filet and green falafel as they were pretty dry. For parking, we had to valet and it was $15. Charming place. It was a bit hard to find, I passed it twice. Name is written in a bottle shape so you might only notice BAC. Plus you walk through a charming brick tunnel to find this hidden gem. I like this place less than I did before. Since visiting this location, I went to the downtown location which was pretty awful service but they were really busy so we let it go. The other day we came to the W 3rd location for brunch and it was ....fine. Our waiter was a sweetheart and half of our dishes were good. That said, some of them were really not good. And we did bottomless but the service is so slow that our glasses would be empty for 15 minutes before the server returned. This cuts into your 90 minutes and their bottomless isn't exactly a steal at $30. One awesome thing about their bottomless, though, is that you can choose between a Bloody Mary, a Bellini, a mimosa, and sangria. That's unique and makes the $30 more worth it to have some variety! I think the key to eating here is knowing what to order and what not to order. read more

So, this place is gonna be so big soon if it hasn't already. It is such a trendy spot that has a chill jazzy atmosphere. The actual patio-to-bar space is amazing. First you have to go through a picturesque tunnel that opens up nicely to the incredibly inviting courtyard with ample indoor/outdoor seating. There are several large trees that overhand the courtyard with lovely romantic lighting which creates an intimate dinner experience. It has some old-style Italian alley vibes, which were a refreshing change of pace. Definitely recommend getting a reservation because the wait time after 7:30PM can be pretty extensive, and for good reason. The food was solid: for an appetizer had St. Andre and Gorgonzola cheese with Salame (so good), ordered their DineLA menu and got the burger, sashito peppers, and lamb kebab. Very available vegan and gluten-free prep options, which is pretty standard for the neighborhood. Had the Malabi and Bread pudding for dessert, which capped off a magical night. For brunch at least. Plenty of gluten-free options, however. Metered parking in this section of 3rd can be difficult, although there is valet. Food: Honestly I couldn't quite remember what we ordered until I looked back at the photos I took. Nothing stood out in a good way and just about every dish was uninspired and lackluster. The shakshouka was way too salty and came out room temperature, and the open-faced bacari burger came out drenched in an aoil and was frankly bad (see photos). The chef's french toast was average, and no one in our party enjoyed the crab cake benedict, which also came out room temperature! The only redeeming dish of the day was a dessert, the malabi, which has a hint of rosewater in the custard and is topped with shredded coconut. *May* try again, but for dinner next time, if a friend strongly insists. read more
