We always love the strawberry (shortcake?) and the cookie and cream donuts that we stuff with Bavarian cream. BD loves their staxx. Hot and sweet and pillowy. I've enjoyed their pork empanadas. The jalapeños cream cheese has a BUTTLOAD of cream cheese so if you love cream cheese this is for you. The other donuts are a little too much for me so we don't venture too far outside of the strawberry and the Oreo. I have heard good things about Bad Bakers from friends so I was excited to hear that a location was opening in Folsom. Unfortunately, they live up to their namesake of "Bad Bakers". I do want to note that my husband went at 4PM so the baked items were not the freshest. The crullers were unfortunately, very dry and tasted like stale oil. Again, maybe at the beginning of the day it may have been moist and then dried out over time. Most donut shops close mid day for that reason or make a second batch so customers get a fresh product. I don't normally have a sweet tooth but after trying some of these donuts (yes, I ate multiple), I really wish Bad Bakers had locations in The Bay Area, where I am from. I forgot the names of the donuts that I ordered but Tiff, one of the owners, will steer you in the right direction. She is super nice, sweet, and helpful. I just left the store 11/19 @ 3;pm. I try going here every Friday to get regular sugar donuts. There are two kinds of the sugar donuts (the brown and white) sugar donuts. I asked for the white one and the lady that served me tried grabbing the brown. I told her I want the white one. She said they're the same!!! I said they are not the same because the other one is brown and the other is white! She insisted it even when I was paying that they are the same! I said, you don't know they are not the same? their mochi doughnuts are mid and they're pricey, i've had better mochi doughnuts for the same price out in the bay. their ube doesn't taste authentic and doubt it actually is, and the señorita bread (or whatever the white washed name they call it at their store) is okay but also pricey (star bread in elk grove is still better and cheaper). the pig in the blanket was pretty good tho read more

I love donuts, and was excited to try this place. Got a dozen donuts, mostly the super crazy sugary ones, because I was curious about whether they'd live up to the names. After trying them, I'd say it's mostly gimmicks here. They use sugary toppings like Oreos and captain crunch, to reel you in, but the donuts themselves are pretty bland and unremarkable. They also don't put the fillings inside the donuts, but instead send you home with plastic syringes full of any of the 5 or 6 flavors, for you to fill yourself. I'm not sure about you, but I don't necessarily want to fill my own donuts. Their chocolate cake donut was the best out of all that I had, the worst was one abomination of an idea, a donut covered in crushed up Cheetos filled with some sort of white cream. I assumed it was pumpkin, as there wasn't a label, and the woman serving me didn't inform me of what it actually was. Overall, I wouldn't go back. read more
