Everything was 10/10. Popped in for lunch. Ambiance and vibes are giving New York. Started with two of the Spritzy spritzes, and the roasted garlic babka, which was like a savory croissant that melts in your mouth. The Caesar salad was probably the best salad I've had in my life, with a nice kick from the Worcestershire sauce. I could bathe in the sauce from the filet agnolotti, served tableside with a balsamic drizzle. Last but not least, the lemon cheesecake topped off an already great meal and service. Will definitely be back for dinner.

Bad Roman wedge and Spicy Lobster pasta

Super bold, vibrant, and fun venue. Love all the colors and the animal sculptures-especially Boaris, the Il Porcellini, which you'll see as you walk in. Just like the room, the food is also so very rich and colorful. The pastas are fantastic. Love the Paccheri Amatriciana, spicy carbonara with juicy guanciale.... The spicy calabrian chili lobster also had a sinus clearing kick with campanelle and an entire lobster that's flambé right at table side. Delicious and comes with a show lol. The arugula & pear salad was also very light and refreshing. The Bad Roman Wedge with so-so. Essentially a lettuce wedge with salami/cherry tomatoes/olives. Would skip the latter. Yes, also tried the Kumamoto oysters were also interesting. First time trying it with cherry peppers...wow. bad romans love a good spice and I'm all for it! Few other dishes I would love to try. Coming back soon. Will take any suggestions any of you have.

A classic upscale spot in the heart of BH. The vibes inside are really dope with cool architecture and dim lights. However, it's very loud and quite crammed inside. I was disappointed w/ food. I expected expensive but I also expected taste and flavor. I tried their chicken which was flavorful but completely dry. Service was also slow- took forever to find our waiter to place an order and get refills on water. Small things like that at a place like this should be automatic. $70 for chicken (w/ no sides) + tip is just not worth it. There were some other dishes on the table like the ravioli and bread that also failed to hit the mark.

Made it into Bad Roman for dinner with friends on a Thursday night and had a satisfying meal amid a throng of happy, lively, and loud people. Yes, this is a very loud place to be sure, with high, vaulted ceilings and steel beams allowing every sound to reverberate to its greatest potential. There's a theory that the subway tunnels under Carnegie Hall contribute an arbitrary X factor of some kind to the theater's legendary, irreplicable acoustics -- well, instead of being in the concert hall above, Bad Roman is like being in the tunnels below while a train is screaming by. Look, I get it: loud and lively amps up the experience to a party level, and people like returning to a party time and again, which is good for business. That said, a little more thought could have been put into the acoustics of a venue that is otherwise pretty perfectly designed. Visually it's a stunner, with mirrors and chandeliers off-set by other sculpted lighting fixtures, colorful banquettes and attractive details throughout the restaurant, right down to the servers' uniforms. Speaking of the servers, they were all friendly and helpful, working quickly to tend to the very crowded room, where there always seemed to be people waiting for a table to open up. The food is a bit of a conundrum. Literally everything on the menu sounds terrific, which makes the decision-making tough; we easily could have ordered almost everything just to taste it. The reality of the food is a bit more down to Earth. Presentation is uniformly excellent, pretty and interesting-looking -- but if none of these big swings is a true miss, you do have some singles mixed with the home runs. I loved my Martini Pepperoncini, which replaces olive juice with the juice from those pickled peppers, giving the drink an original and most welcome brightness and bite. Tuna Tartare was cold and fresh, lightly dressed and very tasty -- so much so that I didn't feel a need to put it on the accompanying crostini, as a spoonful was terrific on its own. The Caesar Salad was good, but no more special than any other Caesar in any other good restaurant, and definitely not as creatively flavored as the Japanese Caesar at Matu. The Roasted Garlic Babka, which is as much of a "must order" idea as a hot dog at Nathan's, looked great but barely made it to first. The garlic flavor was quite muted and generally overpowered by the sweetness in the bread's dough, giving it very little punch; it just didn't live up to the expectations created by its name. Main courses were also a mix of wows and okays. The Filet Mignon with a Cacio E Pepe Raviolo was the star of our selections. The prime steak was expertly cooked: charred on the outside and very properly seasoned; tender and flavorful inside, at a perfect medium rare. On its own, this would have been a wonderful steak -- but, add on the decadent raviolo (filled with a Cacio E Pepe cream that coats the steak in richness) and you've got a truly memorable bite that made everyone go "hey now!" Our other protein, Lemon Chicken, was also expertly rendered, the meat being about as juicy and tender as any half chicken I've had anywhere, with a light yet very tasty lemon jus. However, in the end, this lovely chicken was a little too plain to compete with everything else that was going on, and it seemed a bit out of place. We ordered two pastas with our proteins, with mixed results. The Paccheri Amatriciana was a winner to me, featuring a light, slightly acidic tomato sauce, very finely diced and cooked guanciale, and a punchy Pecorino. The flavors blended well, the texture of the pasta and guanciale made for a nice bite, and the portion was probably the most substantial of the evening. Les successful was the Penne Luongo with Black Truffle Cacio e Pepe. The pasta itself, long, thick and wide, was interesting, and I appreciated its hearty chew. The sauce was the same as what was inside the Raviolo -- but, while a bit of the sauce was a nice accompaniment to a bite of steak, I found it too think and overwhelming as the main attraction on a plate of pasta, even overpowering the fresh black truffle shaved on at the end. My wife really enjoyed it, but I wouldn't order it again. We shared one dessert, which was the Tiramisu Ice Cream, and was the other absolute home run of the evening. A large slice of ice cream cake that looks and tastes like tiramisu, this has to have Tom Carvel sitting up in his grave and saying, "why didn't I think of that?" It's light and cold and a proper palette cleanser after an evening of rich flavors. So yes, go. Be prepared for the scene, and order what sounds good. If you're with friends as we were, you'll have a blast. Just know that when you get to the plate, you're not guaranteed a hit.

Great bar with a good cocktail menu, this location in Beverly Hills is so fun to visit in the evening and packed with a lively crowd. I glanced at the menu and it definitely looks appealing. The dining room is really swanky cool I like the vibe of this place!

Maximalist, dramatic, moody, and definitely a scene. We came on a weeknight and it was still PACKED. It's pretty loud and dark inside, which I personally don't mind, but something to know if that's not your vibe. Service was great overall. Friendly servers and pretty quick considering how busy it was. What we ordered: Pepperoncini Martini -- 9/10 Briny with a little spice. Delicious and probably one of my favorite things of the night. Dressed Kumamoto Oysters -- 7/10 Yummy with the shallots. The oysters weren't super creamy, but that is more of a personal preference thing. Roasted Garlic Babka -- 8.5/10 Flaky, warm, garlicky, parmesan-y goodness. Whipped Ricotta & Truffle Honey Butter -- 8/10 So good with the crusty bread. I just wish the bread had been warmer! Roni Cups -- 5/10 Way too salty for me, but I liked how crispy they were. Definitely better with the basil. Crispy Calamari Casino -- 8/10 Perfectly light and crispy without being overly oily. Loved the tangy sauce and fresh lemon. Bad Roman Wedge -- 8/10 Really good-quality black olives, juicy tomatoes, crispy lettuce, and pepperoncini. A solid wedge. Snake River Wagyu Strip + Cacio e Pepe Raviolo Wagyu -- 9/10: Perfectly cooked and super tender. Raviolo -- 6/10: A little heavy and gummy for me. Paccheri Amatriciana -- 8.5/10 Perfectly al dente with creamy tomato sauce and guanciale. So good. Lemon Cheesecake -- 8.5/10 Super creamy and lemony with a crunchy crumb and thin white chocolate layer. Delicious. I'd seen some pretty polarized opinions about Bad Roman, but I thought the food was both fun and delicious. I appreciate the unique takes on familiar flavors, and the over-the-top atmosphere feels like part of the experience. It's also SO Instagrammable inside. The perfect place to dress up just because, take cute pictures, order a bunch of things for the table, and have a fun night out. I'd definitely come back!

TLDR: Food's genuinely good, some kinks needs to be ironed out. We called to make a last minute Saturday resy for opening time. Luckily they had a spot so we went in. They're also on OpenTable. Street Parking or lot parking is paid. Easy access. They have a fairly decent sized menu with lots of veg and pescatarian options. We got the shrimp chitarra minus shrimp/veg, crab luigi, eggplant pull a parm, sauted spinach, and lemon cheesecake. They also gave us a sorbet on the side for celebration. All of it tasted amazing, especially the marinara that's served with the parm and the sorbet. Drinks were alright, the dessert cocktail with pine nuts needs to be skipped if you dislike pine nuts as much as I do (but did not know pinolo stands for that). They were out of/low on the cars for the shots. The restrooms were out of toilet paper. So there are some funcitonal things they need to work through. The ambience gives zealous modern Italian opulence in the pun-iest way and is extremely cute. Fun fancy date night spot all in all.

New(er) Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills that I had come across and added to the list of places I must try. Made a reservation and headed over. First, ambiance, very welcoming and frenetic, in a good way. Plenty of staff everywhere and everyone is willing to help you out and attend to your needs. We were seated right away and started off with cocktails. The Mai Tai was decent, really didn't stand out to be honest. In terms of food, we began with the Roasted Garlic Babka and the Dressed Kumamoto Oysters. The babka was like a croissant type bread, very soft and flaky, really flavorful but in the shape of a loaf. Hard to really describe and it was worth it! The oysters had a cherry pepper mignonette on top which gave them a pop of added flavor which was a nice touch. And the filet mignon meatballs were delicious. The grated grana padano had a crispiness to it, adding a little texture from, I'm guessing, being broiled quickly, with fresh cheese grated on the top for presentation. Just a great bite. I'd say in my top five meatballs in Los Angeles. For entrees we ordered the Spicy Lobster and the Agnolotti Bistecca. The Bistecca was ok, really tasted under seasoned to us, but it's stuffed with filet mignon and has a sweet balsamic glaze. The spicy lobster is served with campanelle pasta and calabrian chili, and is prepared for you, with a show, table side. This was actually very good, great flavor throughout, and comes with a whole lobster tail and the meat from two claws. Great entree. Finally, for dessert, I had seen these lemon type dishes coming out, and assumed it was the lemon cheesecake, so ordered that. So creative, so delicious and so much fun. It's a lemon cheesecake, molded in to the shape of a lemon with an outer layer shell, sitting on a bed of crushed graham crackers. You crack/cut in to the "lemon" while getting some of the graham cracker crust to assemble your bite. Just perfection. Chef's kiss! Overall, new Italian addition to Beverly Hills and Los Angeles as a whole, and a quality addition at that. Drinks were ok, not necessarily the place I would go for a congrats but not bad either. Get the babka and meatballs for sure, as well as the spicy lobster. The oysters if you're really wanting oysters but you can skip the agnolotti. And absolutely try the lemon cheesecake!

I went to Bad Roman in BH with a friend last Friday night and was impressed. The food is very good and the service top-notch. The scene is very Beverly Hills and you can tell it's the shiny new thing in the city. The spicy lobster pasta was good and the ravioli outstanding. The bill ended up being $150 per person. You can find wonderful Italian restaurants throughout LA which are just as good if not better and will cost 30% less.

We were lucky enough to snag two spots at the bar, and it ended up being the best seat in the house! Our bartender (I wish I remembered his name) was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. It was packed, lively, energetic, and full of great vibes. The cocktails were a highlight! The Pepperoncini Martini and the Amalfi Diet drinks were so unique, fun, and absolutely delicious. The 'Roni & Ranch was the perfect appetizer and one of our favorite bites of the night. Honestly, we could have stayed there for hours just enjoying the food, drinks, and atmosphere. If you're looking for an upbeat spot with amazing cocktails, delicious food, and fantastic service, this is it. Highly recommend!

BAD ROMAN was nothing but GOOD from A to Z! As soon as you walk through the mysterious door with the snakes, you're immediately wowed by the beautiful, colorful interior. The atmosphere is unique, fun, and definitely sets the mood for a great night out. The ladies who greeted us at the front were incredibly kind and welcoming. They showed us to our beautiful table, and we were so excited to try the food. I purposely chose an off-hour to avoid the crowd, but the place was still pretty full--which immediately gave me high expectations. And thankfully, BAD ROMAN did not disappoint! What we ordered: Roasted Garlic Babka -- A MUST order!! Order TWO!! Seriously, this was that good. Roni Cups & Ranch -- Deliciously and perfectly salty and creamy. I stuck the roni cups between pieces of the babka and dunked them in the ranch. Twice. So yummy! Spicy Gem Caesar -- The perfect portion of fresh veggies to balance out the meal. Filet Mignon Meatballs -- Ooey, gooey, and packed with flavor. So satisfying! Chicken Scarpariello Rigatoni -- Definitely get it baked and burnt-style. That crispy, slightly charred finish makes it even better! BAD ROMAN is one of those restaurants you immediately know you'll want to return to--not just for the food, but for the whole experience. It's the kind of place that works for date night, dinner with friends, celebrations, or simply when you want a really fun night out. We had such a great experience and will definitely be coming back for another great night!

Our first time at Bad Roman was a winner. We sat at the bar and first ordered a martini. It was served in beautiful glassware and was the biggest martini I've ever seen. Beware if you have more than one! For dinner we ordered the Faroe Island salmon which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pasta mafaldine is tasty but rather plain. The side of sautéed baby spinach was delicious. The bartender provided outstanding service, and was fun to chat with. The atmosphere is swanky with beautiful chandeliers and nice lighting. You feel wowed the minute you walk in. Highly recommend!

Loved loved loved Bad Roman. There are so many good things to say, it could be called Good Roman. I didn't know it's only been open less than two months and there are certainly things that will get better but I loved what they have going on so far. Which is a lively atmosphere. Good cocktails (eventually they will be great) and fantastic food. My server was Robert and props to him. We had a great experience and would be treated to be served by him anytime. He had great recommendations and his honesty with his thoughts was spot on. It was a Thursday night and it was packed. We weee sat in the back part of the place so conversation was easier at our table. However if you want the scene and the vibe make sure you're seated in the front room. Next time I will be for sure. We started with table garlic bread that was a good start and definitely didn't want to fill up on it. I tried a nice spicy tequila cocktail. It was made with a habenero shaved ice. It was good but not anything I'd repeat all night. So I opted for a Lalo old fashioned that I drank the rest of the night. The bartender was consistent which is key because they were delicious. We got the spicy Cesar salad, hamachi crudo to start and those dishes were both excellent. We shared everything. Family style. There was four of us and we order three pastas, two mains and three desserts. No one left hungry. And there weren't really leftovers. The Cacio E Pepe with shaved truffle was the best thing I ate for the pastas. We had a filet stuff pasta and the tomato base Arabist's pasta also. But the cacio was so good we ordered a second with our mains. For the mains we had the Wagyu New York and the Branzino. I'm not a big New York fan so it was fine. But the branzino was perfection. We also got spinach and fries on the side. For dessert we had the panna cotta, the chocolate cake and what I loved the deconstructed lemon cheesecake. When I go back it will be hard to try something different but I will. And I can't wait to get back for more Bad Roman.

The Table is small so Hoover the food which is easy.

Honestly, it worked out perfectly because they had AC and it was HOT in Beverly Hills that day lol. The inside of the restaurant was actually really beautiful too! I loved the decor and the vibe felt way nicer indoors. Looking back, we probably should've just asked to sit inside instead of outside because of the heat The food was oh so so so very good! Everyone in our group enjoyed everything we ordered, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. HIGHLIGHT of our lunch: my husband and I surprised my mother-in-law with a bouquet of pink roses, so we asked the hostess if they could keep it in their cooler room until the end of lunch. After dessert, they brought the flowers out for us and my mother-in-law was so surprised and happy It honestly made the whole celebration feel extra special. Thank you to the staff for helping create such a sweet and memorable Mother's Day moment for our family!

If it's not during Dine LA, I would likely not come back. Little did we know there was a very obvious explanation for not being full for a Sunday dinner despite the gorgeous patio being perfect for romantic dates. Overall 4 stars: 5 stars for ambiance 4 stars for service 3 stars for food Got the: 1. Toscana (7/10): - This salad was wilted by the time it got to us and not crispy anymore, so we suspect it's been sitting out for a while. - Would've been a 9/10 If it was served fresh 2. Pappardelle Al Tartufo Bianco (+$20 to add lobster pieces) 7/10: - the pasta (9/10) was good, and the doneness was perfect for fresh pasta. - Unfortunately the lobster (4/10) left a lot to be desired. The lobster meat was severely overcooked to the point of being almost rubbery and there were several small shells in the pasta dish. - The waiter must've noticed the pile of shells I made because he whisked away the plate the second I finished so I wasn't able to take a picture. 3. Filet di Manzo (5/10): - the filet was over cooked, which is starting to seem like an overarching theme. We ordered medium RARE and received medium WELL. - This would ordinarily be sent back to the kitchen in any reputable steakhouse, but we gave them a break for not being a steakhouse - the sauce was on the bitter side and this dish was paired with broccoli rabe instead of the advertised spinach so the dish was not balanced at all, just overwhelmingly bitter. Unfortunately this was the worst dish of the night. 4. Il Branzino (7.5/10): - the Branzino fish was not dry but also not moist. I'd say it's pretty typical for Italian cooking, just not flavorful either. It needs a tasty sauce to really add some depth - instead of the advertised zucchini, it came with spinach - It was soft enough for the palate of my grandparents 5. Panna Cotta (9.5/10): - wow, I can't believe the best dishes of the night were the desserts! - Panna cotta was very well balanced with the fruits. Without the fruits and fruit syrup topping, the vanilla bean panna cotta would've be too rich - did not come with the advertised candied rose petals, but this dessert was so well executed that it didn't matter 6. Tiramisu (9/10): - light and fluffy, it was executed well with chocolate shavings on top - a little bitter from the coffee (they advertise that the lady fingers were "lightly dipped in espresso" which my taste buds find hard to believe) but they did have a berry compote on the side to balance it out. - Personally I wish it was not served with berry compote as I believe the advertised mascarpone may been a better pairing Parking: valet only but there's street parking down the street and all around if you're willing to walk up to a block

There are other locations but this I think was the first one and since it was the one I frequented it's the one I will miss. I have so many fond memories of this restaurant. I came here as a little girl with my family because it was casual enough for a well mannered child but fancy enough to please the adults. One time I decided to get into shape. Every time someone asked me out for lunch or dinner I said I wanted to go to Il Fornaio. I would order a bowl of the vegetable soup or vegetarian soup of the day and the Regina Salad. The salad did wild arugula, couscous, avocado, red onions, capers, raisins, and lemon oil dressing. It was a fabulous and filling meal that also kept me skinny. I could honestly eat it every day and never get bored. During Covid I came here and we ate outside on the sidewalk. We enjoyed watching the pedestrian scene and "staying safe" while being able to eat out again. I really missed going out and I felt comfortable here which was important during Covid time. Every Halloween Il Fornaio would have 1/2 price pizza. My family made a tradition to order it. I LOVED this tradition and I'm going to miss it this Halloween. Their pizza was delicious. One time I came here with a boyfriend because they had a cooking class in the back. They had a huge entertainment room in the back of the restaurant. I wish I had a chance to have a special event here to rent it out. We had so much fun as we watched the chef talk about how to prepare each dish and what was even better is that we got to taste it in the end. We ate seabass with golden raisins, baked pasta with eggplant, and a cannoli for dessert. They even had a party souvenir which was an Il Fornaio plate to hang on the wall. Last time I came here was on the Fourth of July last year. It was also dine-la and they had the best deal of any of the dine-la restaurants. Not all the dine-la deals are good but this one truly was one of the best in terms of value for money. It was a three course meal with the most delicious fish entree. Who doesn't love a good deal? We had a fabulous time! Lastly, in recent years they added a happy hour menu to the restaurant and it was fabulous. I did another review on that so I'll keep it short here but the food and drinks were just wonderful. I will miss the friendly waiters who have been there forever. They don't make them like that anymore. Arrivederci to a true "classic"!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by Joy at the front, and our server, Alex, made the evening feel truly special. The service was exceptional, the ambiance was beautiful, and the views were the perfect finishing touch. Every detail of our experience stood out, and it quickly became our favorite restaurant of the trip. Safe to say Dante blew every other place we visited out of the water. We can't wait to come back!

This was pretty strong but I liked the sweetness of the raspberry syrup and honey cream, it balanced everything out really well. The amontillado added this really unique nutty depth that I wasn't expecting, and the chocolate bitters gave it a subtle richness that paired so well with the salted honey cream on top. It almost had a dessert like quality to it bc of how creamy and sweet it was, but the patron silver still gave it a nice kick. And Dante can also put any photo you want on their martinis which is such a cute touch! Such a fun and personalized detail that made the drink even more special. I thought this was such a unique concept and it made for such a good picture too. Definitely elevates the whole experience and makes it feel so much more custom. I also absolutely love the view here, it's so pretty and adds so much to the whole experience. Instagram: @hungrytamale

I ordered the Branzino and the radicchio salad, and both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. To top it all off, their wine selection is fantastic, and they mix up some really great cocktails, too. The vibe, the service, and the flavors make this a must-visit in LA. I can't wait to go back!

One of our dishes was already done while the other hadn't even been prepared yet, so the pasta sat in the warmer for over five minutes. By the time it was served, the noodles were a little overcooked. I feel like the timing and service should've been handled better. The food was just okay. It wasn't bad, but nothing really stood out either. I ordered the squid ink pasta, and honestly, I couldn't tell what kind of flavor they were going for. The signature pasta was decent, but the hamachi appetizer and octopus leg were pretty disappointing. The banana tiramisu wasn't bad, just a bit too sweet for me. Taste is subjective, of course, but I'm not sure I'd come back at these prices. They either need to lower the prices or improve the food.

I ordered the Brazino and the braised Short Ribs. I've had Brazino at various locations in the past and without question, this was the best I've had thus far. It was extremely large and sat atop a dark colored delicious sauce which, was outstanding. The short ribs were tender, had great flavor and were cooked perfectly. Other than the food being exceptional and the table service on point, the highlight of the evening was when owner, operator and celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck stopped by to say hello and inquired about my meal. This spoke volumes of his commitment to customer satisfaction and his willingness to interact with those who visit his establishment. Well done!

Unfortunately, my experience landed more in the "it was fine" category than memorable fine dining. The evening started promisingly with cocktails and beautifully presented small bites. Presentation throughout dinner was polished, and there's no question that a lot of thought goes into how everything arrives at the table. The bread service was elaborate and visually impressive, and several of the smaller bites were interesting. But as the meal progressed, I kept waiting for that one dish that would make me understand the hype. The truffle pizza certainly looked luxurious--and they weren't shy with the truffles--but even that didn't deliver the knockout flavor I expected. It was good. Just...good. At this level, I was expecting something I'd still be talking about the next day. That's really how I felt about the overall meal. Nothing was necessarily bad. The ingredients seemed high quality, the plating was sophisticated, and the experience had all the elements of upscale dining. It simply didn't translate into food that excited me. And when you're dining at a restaurant with Spago's reputation, "just okay" feels more disappointing than it would somewhere else. Service and atmosphere were polished, but ultimately I'm reviewing the entire experience relative to the expectations and price point. I'm glad I finally experienced Spago for myself, but would I rush back? Probably not. There are too many exceptional restaurants where I've left genuinely excited about what I just ate.

Phenomenal service and every dish is a creation in of its own!!…read more The octopus salad was positively delectable! I didn't dare ask for bread, but it would've been sumptuous to drink the last of the dressing with a baguette!! The oxtail ragu was phenomenal! Thanks to my server James, we were all warned that they serve each dish as it is freshly prepared, family style! So, dine with friends who enjoy the process!! The atmosphere reminds me of London, but the food is truly a culinary masterpiece!!

I finally made it to Mother Wolf after all the hype went down, and it was a pretty good experience:…read more What I ordered: - margherita d'angeleno cocktail ($17) this had tequila, fresno chili, agave and lime so essentially an Italian spicy margarita, which was good - sfincione ($13) this focaccia bread was almost more like a dinner roll than a typical focaccia, but was still very light and pillowy - ruchetta salad ($18) aka arugula salad, with the appropriate amount of cheese (a cheese mountain on top) - fiori di zucca ($28) the infamous squash blossoms!! they came out piping HOT and were full of the ricotta filling. they were fried perfectly and were super crispy, but I kind of wanted a sauce to dip it in or have it drizzed over. for as much as everyone raves about them, they're good and I'd order again if I went back, but I wouldn't go back just for them - fusilli al cinghiale pasta ($39) wild boar ragu fusilli pasta: this was good but I couldn't tell it was boar. our server really recommended this but quite honestly I had forgotten we even ordered this.. - tonnarelli cacio e pepe ($26) I'd say this is one of the best cacio e pepe's I've had in LA, the pasta itself was perfectly al dente and the perfect size for this dish. very black pepper forward and a bit on the saucier side (vs more dry iterations), but I personally loved that - dessert: tiramisu, passionfruit gelato, and cookies & cream gelato the tiramisu was very solid, the passionfruit gelato had fresh passionfruit seeds and was well balanced in its tartness + sweetness, and you can't go wrong with cookies & cream We did have a nightcap + dessert at the hidden speakeasy, Bar Avoja - which was BEAUTIFUL. The decor, ambiance, vibes, all 10/10. The cocktails were pricier there but more elevated than the ones at the restaurant. Overall, while everything was pretty solid, I wouldn't say anything was exceptional or really stood out, especially given the $$$$ price. It's worth a visit once (for like a nice dinner/date night spot), and if I were to go back I'd try the pizza or larger entrees, but I'd more likely go back to the bar itself for just a drink (with apps/dessert).
