I stuck to ordering simple sushi and no fancy rolls. My friend order the salmon terayaki combo with spicy tuna rolls which was a very generous plate for the price. My albacore and salmon sushi were fresh, though my salmon belly sushi (considered premium) didn't taste as fresh, but decent. Great restaurant and great prices! I've been here a total of two times. The first time for dinner, we ordered sushi roll by roll. They have a number of very interesting specialty rolls (including the Amazon which is a cucumber wrapped roll filled with salmon and albacore). We ended up having more than enough food and had some sushi for take out. The second time for dinner, we ordered a dinner combination. Dinner combinations give you the option of choosing an option from A (mostly sushi rolls) and B (the other goods, like sashimi, teriyaki, etc.). If you choose one option from A and one from B, your combo price is $13.95. If you choose two from A or two from B your combo price is $14.95. Either way, great value! Dinner combos come with miso soup and hefty portions of rice and salad. I ordered the cucumber and avocado roll from list A and the albacore sashimi from list B. Both were delicious! The service was excellent and we got our food fairly quickly. Considering its convenient location with plenty of street parking, we will definitely be back! read more

We love coming here for the fresh ingredients and huge variety of delicious seafood combinations. The creative chefs are awesome and the food is worth every penny. We enjoyed some fried Gyoza and the sauce it comes with. We really liked all the rolls we ordered. Even though it's called BAD (in caps lol), and even though it's operated by a Thai family, it's my favorite sushi spot. It is a small, neighborhood restaurant with reasonable prices and really tasty sushi. I love the beaches nude, santa roll, oyster shooter with quail egg, albacore sushi, and the baked salmon roll. Clearly I'm no sushi snob, but I like good food and when you find what tickles your fancy, you'll be hooked. There is metered parking all around and a pay lot behind the restaurant. Still, it can be tough during peak hours. Go early, take advantage of the happy hour prices. read more

I was told that if I wrote a review that I'd get some free saki so here I am. It was kinda weird that waitress look at the actual review itself and presumably to make sure I gave 5 stars. It was super awkward and forced, and I think a simple check in would've sufficed. As for the actual sushi - it was decent. Not great but nothing to go crazy about, but it was defInitely cost effective. The rolls were a bit saucey which I don't personally like but the wife does. It's never easy to find cheap sushi, especially on the Westside. People rave about Sugarfish and it's good, but I'm not sure it's always worth the price. On a quest one night to find affordable sushi, I searched up BAD and gave it a try. We ordered the: - Shisito Peppers: Fried shishito peppers with togarashi and bonito flakes. Needed some veggies, but I wish this had been better seasoned. If you get the proper amount of bonito flake then the flavor is fine, but otherwise the pepper is bland. You do get a lot though. - Cute Devil: Shrimp tempura and spicy crab soy paper roll topped with salmon, tuna, avocado and more spicy crab + a sweet and spicy sauce. My favorite for the night since it feels the most seafood heavy. I don't usually like too much tempura in sushi, but it was a textural change from the rest of the roll. - Albacore Lover: Spicy tuna roll topped with albacore, fried garlic + a sesame, garlic sauce. Light and refreshing roll, albacore was a little fishy, but texture was good. - B.A.D Salmon Roll: I feel like the name is wrong and I couldn't find it on the online menu. The description was a I believe a crab roll with seared Alaskan salmon and some lemon. I liked the seared salmon, the lemon is a nice complement and feels the most different from the rest of the rolls. So overall, not bad for the price. Our meal of around $40 could serve 3 people with a medium appetite. TBH a lot of sushi, especially rolls, end up tasting very similar because the base is always California roll or tempura roll and all the sauces. With such a wide array of choices at BAD, you'll probably be away to get a couple rolls that actually taste little different. Even so, it wasn't cheap enough nor good enough for me to hands down recommend. Might recommend, may return. read more

BAD is best and delicious! Happy hour menu is priced well and yo have many options. Also happy hour is from 4:30-7:00! So you can make it after work especially with LA traffic. Definitely will come back to try other items on the menu. Customer service is very attentive and food comes out in a timely manner. You can see the sushi being made and checked before it is sent out to make sure it is up to standard. We had lightly salted edamame, shuimai, salmon attack, spicy tuna crunch, New York New York, say fish with salmon, and the cherry spicy roll.
