This place made me miss Boiling Crab. It is just like what you'd imagine. You order a pound of your seafood of choice and you eat with your hands. They offer plastic bibs as well as gloves which I appreciated. For flavoring, we ordered garlic butter and Louisiana flavors. The Louisiana flavor was the best by far! Just go Louisiana for everything. We also ordered: Po Boy sandwich - surprisingly really good and would definitely order this again Fried Mussels and onion rings - the friends enjoyed the mussels but the onion rings were okay as I've had better elsewhere Cajun Fries - really hit the spot! Tip: take the bag of your leftover sauce to-go and add more seafood at home. I added noodles as well and it was a weeks work of deliciousness.

Honestly, this experience started off a little weird. The hostess was pretty rude and standoffish right from the beginning, which definitely didn't leave the best first impression. Once we actually sat down though, things got a lot better. Our waitress was super nice and the food ended up being really good. We ordered a pound of shrimp, a pound of crawfish, a pound of mussels, a pound of clams, plus corn on the cob and some drinks. One thing to note is their seasoning can run pretty spicy, so if you're not big on heat I'd probably go below mild because even mild has a bit of a kick. I wasn't the biggest fan of the seasoning mix I chose, but that's more of a personal preference and I'd probably try something different next time. The space itself is pretty big and comfortable overall.

I went on a Sunday morning right when it opened. Plenty of parking and no waiting. The service was kind and helpful. We got there at 11:30 and literally by 11:50 it was busy and almost full! Glad we got there when we did! The food was brought out by a robot! That was fun!!! Got some garlic bread and a bag combo 1. Corn, sausage, potato's, and double shrimp. The sauce was delicious and the garlic bread was tasty! The shrimp was wonderfully cooked! We couldn't finish the whole so we took some home. The ambiance inside was friendly and our waiter was quite attentive for us and that was good! I do plan to go again!

Tried out this place 12/21/2025 We were starving after playing at Topgolf. My daughter chose this place to go and eat afterwards since it wasn't a far drive. Plenty of free parking in a shared lot. Ambiance is definitely casual. Luckily, she made reservations!! When we arrived, there weren't that many people, but as time went by, a whole lot of people arrived, and the wait was LONG! There were plenty of places to sit, the issue was that if you ordered seafood to peel and eat, it takes a while!! I've tried that type of food before, and I chose to eat something less messy. Something that I don't need to wear a bib for. I ordered the dish which contained white rice, salad, and fish. Healthy, yummy, and filling. I liked the little robot that delivered food. Someone ordered a basket of fries which were yummy. My brother ordered a basket of onion wings which were also yummy. Service was good and friendly. If I'm in the area, I would definitely come back.

Came in on a Wednesday afternoon and it was somewhat busy. Beautiful aquatic decor throughout. We were greeted and sat immediately. We tried a few items. My favorite was their fried fish basket with garlic fries. Not too fishy and generous portions. The fries are tasty and crispy. Also had to sample their lemon pepper wings. Good flavor but too much batter. My kids shared garlic noodles and a fried shrimp basket. They had no complaints. Wife loved her grilled fish with garlic sauce. Gotta love the robot that brings out the food. They have a good happy hour for beers only. The soju margaritas are really good and reasonably priced at $11. We got attended by 3 waitresses and each one had a different personality. It made for an interesting experience to say the least. We didn't ask for our bill but they brought it. Thought that was odd. We also wanted one more round before happy hour ended but we couldn't get service. Once we got their attention they said happy hour had expired and we missed it by 1 minute. That ruined our whole experience. I was over it at that point and proceeded to leave. Don't think I'll be back unless the robot makes me a margarita.

Back at it again. Came here to celebrate two birthdays this time. Food is always good and the entire family is stiffed each time. Would recommend if you're craving for delicious Cajun food.

Bag O' Crab is my favorite seafood boil spot in the area! Their Combo #1 is such a steal! It includes 2 pounds of seafood (you can choose up to 2 different types of seafood) and only costs $35! My go to items for the combo is the octopus and the head on shrimp with the atomic sauce no spice. Sausage, potatoes, and corn are also included within the combo package. The atomic sauce is AMAZING...it's a mix of garlic butter, cajun, and lemon pepper and you can actually taste all flavor profiles within the sauce. One combo is definitely enough to feed 2 people! The cajun fries are also very flavorful and all their food comes out extremely quick (within 5 minutes of ordering)! The staff are always friendly and checking in on us. There is also a lot of seating inside, which is great because even on their busiest days, it is unlikely that there is a wait. Interior design is very cool as well and spacious. Parking is convenient as there is a lot within the plaza it is located in.

Amazing service and great seafood! Finally was able to get live crawfish after sooo long and it was amazing. Some pieces were a tad on the smaller side though. Their Cajun sauce is a bit lighter and more lemony compared to the Louisiana which has a bit more kick and flavor. Both are good choices nonetheless. Shrimps are pretty big and Juicy especially with the head on and would definitely recommend getting at least a lb. Clams are tiny, sadly. But no sand and still tender. Would 100% recommend this place!! read more

I've seen this business for a while now and didn't try until today. They have a yelp waitlist in the lobby. On a Sunday at 6pm there was hardly a wait. We ordered combo 2 with the snow crab legs, shrimp, corn, sausage, with the mild atomic seasoning. They have the serving robots that being you your food. The food was delicious and piping hot! The seasoning was very tasty. Everything was fresh and good quality. The shrimp are big! They give you gloves, bibs, and wet wipes. Drinks are refillable. Service was quick and friendly. read more

Came here for lunch. Get here early if you can. I was able to beat the rush and was seated and ordered immediately. Ordered king crab and crawfish with the atomic seasoning at the mild level. Added in some corn and sausage. We also ordered a side of garlic bread. The crab and crawfish had the perfect seasoning for me with the right amount of spice. My dad said it was a tad on the salty side but he really enjoyed it. Next time we want to try the shrimp instead of the crawfish because they are easier to peel. Nothing but good experiences for the times I've been here. They are popular and often have a wait, so it's better to start early, though you can't sit until the entire party is present. 5 PM on a weekend can yield a 45 minute wait at times! The Atomic sauce is the most similar to Boiling Crab's "Whole Shabang," and the shrimp here has always been fat and juicy! You can't order a half lb of shrimp per bag, and all the food comes out burning hot- a little too hot, so be warned. read more

This has been my all time favorite Cajun seafood place! The prices are so reasonable; I've caught myself eating here at least twice a week. The service is fast and accurate, the little robots add to the place and experience. Ever since All-In Crab closed in Rosemead, I was afraid I wasn't going to enjoy Cajun food anymore. Do not fret! Bag O' Crab has saved the community. I heard of the restaurant for a while and finally made my way there this weekend. Placed in a huge shopping center with ample parking spots. Also, surprisingly for a Saturday, I walked in and got seated immediately for a table of 3. They also had a Yelp waitlist/reservation - which is awesome for larger parties! First impression, super spacious place with multiple dining areas on the left and right from the cashier/counter. Very clean restaraunt and attentive service from the moment we checked-in to the moment we left. When seated, they provide you all the necessities already. A plate, gloves, bib, fork, lemons and salt/pepper! So efficient. The menu is easy to follow. We ended up ordering combo 1 with shrimp head on, and added 1 more corn with atomic sauce (the mix of all the first 3 sauces) totaling to $33, Cajun wings $13 and Cajun fries $5. Each item came out with the robot and piping hot!!! Huge plus! As we were halfway dining, the sides remained crispy and the seafood was still hot. Atomic Sauce - it's very good, not salty until you get to the very bottom. The lemon really helps eliminate the saltiness though. Combo 1: Shrimp - super plump! Order with head on is the way to go. They give a lot for 2 pounds. 2 potatoes - not too soft. 4 Sausages - andouille sausages and super big pieces. 2 (+1) Corn - I wish it was sweeter! Overall, very pleasant and affordable Cajun Wings 10 piece: Woah!!! They nailed these wings. Satisfying crunch and crisp on every bite. They're not skimpy with the dipping sauce, you can always ask for more if you need it. Cajun Fries: Super long, crispy fries. Seasoned perfectly. The waitress checked in a few times to make sure we had everything. Friendly, quick and efficient service even for almost a full house. I will certainly be coming back! I'm so full and content! read more

We got shrimp, crawfish, mussels, clams, and snow crabs. The seafood tasted fresh and the atomic sauce and original cajun is good! I like how their combos included corn, potatoes, and sausages. Their Cajun fries are probably some of the best I've had. Our server, Nick, was very patient with our party of 7. Dined here today and it was great! They open at 2 pm and there were already people waiting for them to open. I loved the decor inside. The nautical theming is super cute and fun, and there are plenty of tables. The service was absolutely wonderful! Warm, friendly, and efficient. The food was delicious! The seafood boil was good and had a TON of garlic. Don't sleep on the grilled fish. The Cajun grilled fish was delicious. The best thing we had. Plenty of free parking and right off the freeway. Clam chowder is very average, I think yoshinoya's taste better.... Garlic noodle is very mediocre too. Oyster is 7/10 fresh... The crab legs and shrimp are good, the sauce isn't too favorable.... Decorative of the dining room is ok, no the wow. Service is ok, people are attentive. read more

We did a pick up on the seafood. We ordered the Cajun 1 lb shrimp with head and added ramen, potatoes and sausage. When we openeded the bag, the seasoning were very clumpy and was paste like. On top of that the shrimp were extremely overcooked. It's very disappointing when you pay $16 plus a pound for seafood to have it salty and overcooked. They definitely needed to take a page from boiling crab and see how the shrimp is juicy and tender, seasoning is buttery with the right bite. So would I come back? Definitely not, I would recommend for Bag I'm Crab to really focus on cooking the seafood to the right doneness and to have real liquid butter for their customers. read more

Came here for an early dinner on the weekend, it definitely gets crowded and lots of families dining here. Nice casual place to eat. Service is ok, they use robots to bring the food! We got the combo #1 with atomic sauce. The sauce was good, not super spicy. Compared to boiling crab the sauce isn't as tasty. The Korean short rib plate was good, nice big salad comes with it. The lemon pepper wings weren't too good, extra fried so it was kind of hard, but came out nice and hot. Overall ok sit down restaurant, but everything was a bit salty. Looks like they get all their good reviews for a free macaron sandwich. read more

One of the cooler places to eat at In Montebello especially if you're into seafood yummm.... We really enjoyed our meals and the service was good, no complaints here. It's really clean, staff is nice, and the price was really affordable, and the food was well packaged in a really nice bag, and you get a free ice cream when you leave a review.. big plus! Food update: the worker who helped me place the order said that what I got would serve 1 to 2 people and it's definitely for 1 because they do not give me a lot of shrimp for what I paid for compared to a different seafood place I go to. The fries and garlic bread were also hard when I tried it and keep in mind the food was not waiting for me for a long time to pick up. The flavoring of the shrimp boil was good and I did like how they cut the shrimp. Would I be returning? Maybe, I want to see if they give me more shrimp if I order more. read more

The overall dining experience was good, but the service was just okay; only one check-back during our visit, and the staff seemed less attentive. Upon arrival, quick seating and a prompt greeting in the somewhat empty place. However, a peculiar moment occurred when I requested starters before the main course for a leisurely pace, but was informed it all comes out when ready--a bit unusual. Tried the House salad, which was excellent, but the clam chowder fell disappointingly short, lacking flavor. The Lobster Roll was also underwhelming, lacking sauce and flavor, though the fries were a standout. The shrimp was a highlight; adding noodles is highly recommended. Enjoyed the good sausage and corn. Overall, I'd rate it a 7 out of 10, worth trying but not a regular spot. I just want to start off with saying how everything was so amazing. Food, drinks, service, and the vibes were immaculate. Food came out really fast, fresh, and ready to eat. We all devoured our food. Bag o crab is topping boiling crab in my opinion. Ofcourse everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I also want to shout out our amazing server Diana, she was the real goat bringing everything in a timely manner and her attitude and vibe was top tier. She has been the best hostess we've had thus far! Thank you for everything today Diana you made our first time experience a great one and we will be returning. The food is always fresh and their Cajun sauce is unique with the taste of authenticity! today we order combo 4 With Dungeness crab, head on shrimp, crawfish, sausages, corn, short ribs with rice and salad, potato fries, garlic toast. Went down a rabbit hole looking for a well-priced seafood boil and ended up visiting Bag O' Crab- My boyfriend ordered the original Cajun Combo #1 with shrimp and mussels, and I ordered the chicken tenders. The portions were generous in both orders and arrived quickly to our table (served by an adorable robot). Even with an aversion to seafood, I can attest that the Cajun seasoning/sauce was great, and the seafood was cooked well (as were the chicken tenders which were surprisingly delicious coming from a seafood restaurant).
