First time at this place! We were craving seafood so we google few places and we decided to give this place a try. We asked for the combo 2 as it was just my son and I. It came with corn on the cob, sausage, potato, shrimp & crab legs. I don't eat spicy so we did the garlic sauce. All of it was so delicious and the wait was short! The food came out fairly quick! This place was pretty busy when I went. The lot is paid parking but you can type in a code to park for free for a while. Overall, I think this place is pretty good but I was more impressed by the garlic noodles and corn than the shrimp in my bag. We got the combo 3 with the king crab legs. The crab was good with the atomic sauce but the sauce didn't stick that well to the shrimp. The corn was very juicy and the sauce soaked in well. I also usually really like potatoes but the potatoes didn't do it for me this time. My bf and I did 1 lb shrimp (head on), one rice, one order of sausage, one corn, and a soda. My bf was expecting to pay close to $50 but our check came out to $28! My friend was craving seafood boil and so we dropped by to get some. The place was pretty packed and there was a wait of about 5 minutes for a table when we arrived. I ended up getting one pound of head on shrimp, with atomic sauce with a little bit of spice, and a side of garlic noodles. The garlic noodles came out first and was a decent portion. It was also sprinkled with a lot of cheese. I liked the chew it the noodles; not overcooked. I would say it could have had a stronger garlic flavor and less soy sauce flavor but it was still decent. The shrimp came out pretty soon after. After going through the whole bag, I would say maybe 1/4 of the pound was overcooked and super mushy. The rest of the shrimp was cooked just right or just slightly over. I think what was worse was the sauce. It was just oil and pretty flavorless. There was a ton of garlic but even that flavor was overpowered by the sheer amount of oil. I used the lemon+salt pepper instead. My friend and I ended up both having stomach issues later due to the amount of oil and ended up spending time on the toilet. I'm a little conflicted because I have been to this restaurant once before and didn't have this kind of experience. Seems like it might be consistency issues. But since we both had stomach issues, it didn't end up being an enjoyable experience. Staff was friendly though and quick to take our order. So glad we decided to visit this location after reading reviews of the berkeley location: Service: Great, staff were all attentive, polite and informative, checked on us multiple times and refilled our waters. Combo 4: Both the flavor of the atomic sauce and the quality of the seafood was really good. Many times places will try to cut corners but they did all the little things right, a ton of fresh lemons, a metric crapton of fresh garlic in the sauce (not jarlic) and while I think the sauce could have used a bit more zing from lemon pepper, it was still delicious. I do wish they would but the potatoes into smaller chunks but I understand why they dont. Grilled fish: The fish wasn't overly salty, was cooked really well and the salad wasn't slathered in sauce, for 15 bucks, this is an amazing deal. Sweet potato fries: Perfection, I dont known if you can do a sweet potato fry better tbh, not overly salty, fried perfectly crisp with a fluffy inside and not a single one was burnt. On Mother's Day, the hostess didn't look up and seemingly had an attitude when I asked her about the line. Another time I came in, the young man standing in the podium didn't greet me either. 2. However, I need to complain about the state of the restroom. At 6:30pm on a Monday night, the trash bins inside the lady's room as well as at the communal sinks were over-flowing. The mirrors in both areas were also dirty. The restroom stalls REALLY need to have a deep cleaning of the doors, and even the top of the doors, where it looks like an inch of film. These are likely the dirtiest restrooms in an eating establishment that I've ever patronized. I think that if I had used the restroom before my meal, I would have lost my appetite. Lastly, I was SO disappointed that they took the Exotic Bomba off the dessert menu. I have raved about it and chose to come to Bag O'Crab for my birthday dinner primarily for this dessert. Parking at Bag O' Crab isn't the best, wait times are super inaccurate, however the food is good. I was maybe 6th in line with my party of 2 and the wait time showed 9-19 minutes but I ended up waiting 45 mins to an hour. I totally get the longer wait times but it would be nice if there was a way for the wait times to be changed to be more accurate or if staff were to let people know ahead of time as I noticed some people were giving the staff a hard time in the front as they were getting frustrated with the inaccuracy. The restaurant itself has TVs with sports on majority of the time and robots bringing food over to tables. You can't grab your own food from the robots and have to wait for the staff to serve you (which I think is odd because it almost defeats the purpose of the robot.) We had to keep asking for the crab cracker before they finally came and brought it. The place is dirty!
