I'm still surprised how good it was and the service was awesome as well. We were in the Alameda area and didn't know the restaurants around us. I've been craving crab so I pulled up Yelp and searched crab. This place came up. We drove to this spot and it was connected with a Inn. My boyfriend asked if I was sure I wanted to try this place out and I said why not. I am becoming more adventurous especially with random hole in the walls. Parking did seem sketch in the back but it was fine. Walking in, it was two restaurants in one. The right side was pho and the other was Bucket O' Crawfish. The workers on both sides greeted us. The price was reasonable and we had drinks as well. The flavor for the food was really good. The garlic noodles was made with chow neon noodles. It was still good. Not too garlicky but tasty. We got Combo #4 with all the mix and medium spice (we could have had it spicier - medium was not spicy) which they did not skimp out on. I was with two guys and me but I may be petite but I get down when it comes to food and drinks. The portion was decent and filled us up. We were still able to get dessert as well. I got the mango cheesecake which was light and did taste like mango. Oh we got complimentary bread rolls and it was was perfect with our meal. I asked for butter and I got melted butter. My highlight because I love bread and butter, so good! Lastly, the music was early 2000's like Chris Brown. I would come back again. The drive would be worth it. It's about forty-five minutes from home.

First off I definitely wanna commend the staff for being very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The place is always clean I had the fried shrimp basket and house salad, it was delicious!!the batter of the shrimp was kinda sweet and different! Definitely a signature taste! I'd reccommend! The seafood boils here are always delish as well!

Service was great. Food was very good. Only thing that absolutely had me flabbergasted was the fact that they lied on the receipt I was given regarding their tip guide. I'm a good tipper regardless just because I work in the food industry and know how it is but to mislead customers out of their money just for your personal financial gain is the most unethical thing I have seen in a very long time. It is sad because I really liked this place but I don't see myself going back. It wouldn't feel right. Beware of the misleading tip guide.

Alright now , not too bad lol . It was my first time coming here . Being from Oakland , rockin crawfish is my go to . But I've tried other Cajun seafood boil places before . We actually went to rockin crawfish last night but it was busy and closing in an hour . So we decided to go to Bucket O' Crawfish . They have their own lot to park in ( shared with a hotel tho I believe ) . When you walk in there's PLENTY of seating . Real spacious restaurant. They also have a full service bar all lit up with TVs for your entertainment . I was surprised to see it was so empty , again a regular at rockin crawfish ... it's always packed over there !! So I was expecting similar crowdedness but nope ! Again it was late maybe that could be why .... Ok so food ! We got oysters and the combo #4 which came with a whole Dungeoness crab , 10 ounce snowcrab , half a pound of shrimp , crawfish , muscles , and clams , two corns , two potatoes and two breads ! It was a pretty good deal for all that including the sides ( rockin crawfish you pay extra per corn , potato ect. ) i was quite satisfied with my food and left with left overs . Oh and they give you an actual bucket for your shells . Cute lol . Flavor of the sauce is good . But NO COMPARISON to rockin crawfish. Would I try this place again ? Yes . Again food was good . I'll say rockin crawfish has better sauce . But Bucket O Crawfish is better price and portion wise ! Their oysters are way bigger ! And they have a happy hour menu I'll be back to peep for myself .

As a landlocked midwesterner who loves cajun and creole flavors, the myriad "bag o' spicy seafood boil" restaurants cropping up all over the US are heaven to me! It's now the first food genre I look for when I get to a new location. Bucket O' Crawfish is located in the same building as a Pho restaurant and you will smell the seasonings of both venues as you walk in. I highly recommend you leave your jacket in the car or be prepare to wash your clothes upon returning home, for the flavors will quickly be absorbed. Bucket O' Crawfish provides multiple tables covered with butcher paper (traditional for this type of eatery). The menu not only boasts the typical seafood boil options, but also has a variety of fried appetizers (fries, wings, oysters, etc.). Having visited several establishments similar to this, I went with Combo #2 + crab with "crazy mix" at "hot" level + alligator sausage. If you've been to other cajun seafood boil establishments like I have and typically choose their hot heat level, you may wanna dial it down to medium at B-O'-C. "Hot" is NOT messing around. At first I found myself A) starting to tear up a bit between bites and B) wondering if I should be asking for gloves because I didn't think I'd be able to take my contacts out later that night. Thankfully my palate adjusted and a bit of lotion helped to temper the capsaicin prior to removing my corrective lenses that evening. I thoroughly enjoyed Bucket O' Crawfish and will definitely return when I'm back in the area! More than likely, however, I will try to follow Yelper Tu-Quyen's advice and get there before 6 PM for happy hour specials. Nothin' wrong with saving a little coin and dropping that on another glass of vino. ;-)

It does the job well in order to crave your crawfish and experience. when you come in there are two restaurants. A pho place and this establishment. We were greeted directly and given a table sanitized and with the large paper on the table. I was introduced by combining sauces in a variety of ways. My favourite is salt, pepper, and lemon/lime juice. the process is simple by choosing your protein, sauce, and level of spiciness. The prices are good and some items are sold by the pound and market price. Everything is very flavourful with good portions. I enjoyed coming here with my family. The only bummer was that prices change a lot and there are stickers everywhere to make those price changes. Also, we were not given too much attention as we needed more napkins and some condiments. There is plenty of parking and in a decent area of Alameda. We were not given any bibs, which I wanted one ,

Oh ,Oh The Ghetto!!! I was Chilling in My Slab in the Flatlands . I was thinking of Cajun Fries , Shrimp and Chicken Wings and Hang Ten Boiler !!! One of my Dawgs suggested the Happy Hour At Bucket O Crawfish!! So I got all G-Dawged up and jumped into my Hooptie and rolled to Bucket O Crawfish in A Town . So I rolled up to Bucket O Crawfish and parked my Hooptie in the rear parking lot. I rolled in and was Greeted and Seated by a very Nice and Friendly Server . I perused the Happy Hour Menu and Ordered- 2 Orders of Fried Angel Wings, Fried Catfish & Cajun Fries , Fried Shrimp & Cajun Fries , Fried Calamari and Fried Cream Cheese Wontons. They have a Full Featured Bar and a Bunch Of LCD TVs for Entertainment !! These Happy Hour Specials are Great Deals , most of them are under $10 . 20 minutes later ,my Server dropped off my Massive Order at my Table with a Giant Smile on her face. Everything was Fresh and Flavorful . Portion Size was Good!! I had some Left Overs which my Server Happily Packed To Go for me. Service was Excellent and Friendly . I paid by Credit Card and Rolled out !! Bucket O Crawfish Is A Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment !!!

But I was able to see why she moved me. At this time (late morning) there was a family sitting next to me. They ended up leaving bc the restaurant had no dungeons crab! They were rather upset. Understandably. I ordered Lady Dubs Special (cajun) with the flat bread, added sausage and a side of garlic noodles. This was more than enough to feed 1 person. And the sauce is flavorful. Nice and thick, just the way I like it. 10/10!! I've had several seafood boils and this one is the best so far!! It also affordable.

As a parent, I never knew how much I would appreciate a drive-thru at spots like Walgreens, Starbucks, and now, an actual restaurant! It's the little things sometimes that really help to take the heavy lift off, while giving back the flexibility and energy to the driver :) While I can't speak for the interior of the restaurant, we did roll through the drive-thru to test it out over the weekend while exploring Alameda and all of its charm. On a Saturday evening it seemed like they were pretty swamped, and no one was responding at the drive-thru window so we figured maybe it was closed. We pulled up and my husband got out of the car to confirm before we pulled away with a worker inside the restaurant and they apologized. Almost immediately someone came to the window and gave us printed menus because we had already passed the digital menu part of the drive-thru. We ordered hush puppies, a fried shrimp po' boy sandwich, mac n' cheese, and bread pudding. Oh wee, we had a feast when we arrived home and reheated everything! I think they may still be working out some kinks, but I'm open to trying the drive-thru again next time we're in town post brewery fun. A drive-thru in the East Bay for Cajun bites? Very cool! I've explored their menu before and wow, that bread pudding! Special. Would go back for that alone to try it hot from the oven!

I ordered to-go blackened fish platter with red beans and rice, and a chicken sandwich with fries. It took 30 min for the food to come out and when I opened the fish, it wasn't even slightly warm (mmm, room temperature fish!). What's more disappointing is that everything was severely overcooked and dry and nothing tasted remotely Cajun or appetizing. This place isn't exactly cheap, either. And all I can say about the ambience is it's got a cafeteria vibe. Anyway, I gave it two stars because the front people are at least friendly, but I in no way, shape or form recommend this restaurant.

Parking is a bit difficult but we managed to find street parking a block away. Wasn't too crowded and there was plenty of seating inside. You order first and you find a table to sit, and they bring out the food to you. Self serve water is available. The food came out pretty quick! Thoughts: - Lobster roll (classic) was delicious! Generous amount of lobster. Would definitely get this again. Chips weren't too great though. - Fried shrimp basket was nice. Shrimp was crispy and tasty. Fries were also very crispy and flavorful. The sauces go well with the shrimp/fries. Coleslaw isn't the best though. - The crab nachos were surprisingly good. A nice cheese sauce combo with pico/avocado crema and a good amount of crab. - Garlic noodles were fine, nothing standout about them. - Mix and match basket with catfish, cod, and calamari (not pictured): Catfish was solid (would highly recommend, one of the favorites of the meal!), but would pass on the cod and calamari - a bit dry/fishy. Would recommend for a casual spot for seafood and a nice view!

Anyone remember the Jack London Village that they tore down to build this end of the development? Anyways - this is a fast casual type spot, where you order from the counter, place the little number sign on your table and wait for it to be delivered. The menu is your standard seafood joint by the water type, with all the usual suspects represented. Fried fish, shrimp, chowder, seafood pastas--if you've ever been to a seaside seafood joint, chances are good that the menu here is exactly like the one you remember seeing at the countless other places like this one. I noticed right off the bat that their pricing structure was on the high side - with a $17 burger and fries option, with the bulk of the fried seafood options in the $22-25 range. A cheaper choice might be the $16 fish tacos (two of them) but I kind of draw the line at paying $8 for a single taco. Our table ordered a few of the fried options plus a few soda beverages. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and I noticed that the silver metal trays that the food comes on is a bit on the small side, especially considering the prices for each dish. The fried shrimp dish was a big scoop of mega-salty french fries, and 3 average sized deep fried shrimp. Yes - 3 as in 1, 2, 3. That's what - $7+ a shrimp? The two fried fish platters weren't much better portion-wise. My deep fried cod consisted of three modest sized fish-fingers, and not the single luscious chunk of perfectly fried cod I had imagined in my head when ordering. They were fine - but very average and nothing that stood out as life-changing or something to write home about. As mentioned earlier, they must be employing the Little Rascals method where they over salt everything, in hopes that you'll order another beverage to wash down the copious mounts of sodium (I figure about 4+ days worth). The fried catfish platter that rounded out our order was more of the same - thin meager portions of fish on a large bed of mega-salted fries. Small plastic containers of generic pre-made tartar sauce and coleslaw can with each platter. The coleslaw was fine - just very forgettable and perhaps a tad on the flavorless/watery side. All said, was it okay? Yes. Was it anything outstanding that I'd crave and plan my return to have again? No. It is in line with touristy by-the-Sea seafood places that charge an extra couple of bucks because they're "on the water"? Pretty much. You're paying for the view and the 'scene' of sitting on the patio out front to people watch, and not for the food. I kind of hate these places and normally try my best to stay away from them, but every once in awhile, you gotta put on your tourist hat and join the mindless flock. A meager 2 stars outta 5 from me. Instead, I'd stroll around this area on a Sunday when they hold the farmer's market (again - is not what it used to be) and then drive through the tube to Alameda where great dining spots are numerous on Park Street. You can stop at Crab Cove and Crown Beach on the way, for more touristy sightseeing.

The only reason I didn't rate it higher was due to one moment that didn't sit right with me. I watched a waitress bring out fries to a guest, the guest started eating them, and then she came back to say it was a mistake and took them away after he was already halfway through. That just didn't feel very service-oriented. In a situation like that, it would have been better to acknowledge the mistake and let the guest keep the fries on the house.
