I ordered online sandwiches and French fries for myself and used their delivery service as I wasn't in the area and had a lot of work to do. I must say I was expecting worse but fortunately they arrived in time and I got what I was promised. I mean they didn't mess up with my order and food was fresh and spicy as I like it. Fries were crispy and smelled tasty. I didn't think twice and started eating it at once. As for sandwiches they are probably best I've ever tried. All ingredients were picked thoroughly and it didn't fall apart in my hands like it often might happen to me. I have never been in due to this quarantine restrictions but I'm pretty sure this spot won't leave me disappointed. This Bakers Square used to be good. The food here is still decent, but prices have gone way up. Food prices have increased in general, but if I want a salad for $10.99, I will go to Panera Bread for quality salads and pay less. With that said, I ordered breakfast instead of lunch. I had scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, low fat yogurt and fresh fruit. Total calories: 410 The fruit consisted of fresh strawberries, pineapples and cantaloupe. The fruit was perfectly ripe which I appreciated. Our server, Cara, was very friendly. I did not receive a water refill. She was kind enough to bring us extra napkins without us asking for extra napkins. This was a very nice touch. She stopped by to check on us and asked "how is everything?" I forgot to ask her for more water so I will let this go. She placed our check on the table without even asking us if we wanted a slice of pie. Of course, I don't do sugar and would not have dessert. I thought this was rather strange since they are known for their pies. The window ledges were very dusty. They had probably not been wiped down in 1 or 2 weeks. The shade, where we sat, was splashed with food stains which was disgusting. It also had green crayola drawing from a child. Apparently, a parent did not give a crap about his/her child drawing on a beige window shade. It was very quiet when we arrived at the restaurant. There is always plenty of free parking. The washroom was clean. Normally, I do NOT use public washrooms because over 50 percent of the time they are disgusting. I am posting a picture of my receipt. I forgot to take a picture of my food. Everyone knows what scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, low fat yogurt and fruit look like, so use your imagination America. I had not been to Bakers Square in a very, very long time. The turkey sausage was very good. The fruit was perfectly ripe and also very good. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry. How can anyone screw up scrambled eggs! Did they have a chimpanzee making scrambled eggs in the kitchen that day? I will not be rushing back any time soon. If I happen to be in the neighborhood I might stop in again. Food is good, like always and their pies were very delicious. My only issue is that they can get things wrong - like on my online order I had asked for extra mustard and no tomatoes. Ordered two dinners from Baker Square today. One was a cube steak dinner and one was a turkey dinner. I'm really very very upset with Baker Square! What they sent me and it looked like they were children's menus, one had macaroni and cheese and french fries and the other had macaroni cheese, and rice. I'm very upset. Don't people pay attention to what they're doing anymore and by the way, the macaroni and cheese sucks. We threw both boxes out. I also called GrubHub and explained and complained to them. They're going to refund my $46 but that which is great but it doesn't do me any good now. I don't know if this was delivery's fault or if this was Baker Square's fault, but I've had problems with Baker Square a couple times in the past either way I'm royally pissed. and I'll tell you what you can do to improve. We have purchased our Thanksgiving pies from Bakers square for years.We used to get from the location on Ridge before it closed. we'd usually order 5 pies but end up walking out with 7 or 8 ! We called it a pieapalooza! Now the past couple years we've used the location on foster and Harlem. Ordered 5 pies and was disappointed that the selection to choose from is so limited! Be that as it may, we were disappointed to find whoever packed our pies gave us triple berry instead of cherry!! Next year we'll probably skip Bakers square altogether and just go to Costco. I think this place used to be a lot better. Food quality went down after the remodel, and service is very slow. I always have to track down waiters to get me refills. I must admit that everyone who does work there is very nice, the place is just extremely understaffed and always looking for new hires. There is also a weird mildewy smell sometimes in the restaurant, which is a huge turn off. Foodwise, it's pretty good, but again, not the best. The chicken stir fry pita is amazing, but many times my food came to me cold. You can't go wrong with the chicken tenders, but seriously, can you even screw up chicken tenders? The pie is always incredible, my favorite being the French silk or the Oreo one. read more

Today, I had a less than stellar experience. A few days ago I reserved two pies for the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner and scheduled to pick up today at 1 pm. Upon arrival, the cashier I think her name was (Farida) she was unable to find my order. But the worst part is that after telling her three times that I wanted a pumpkin pie I found out a short time later that the pie she gave me was in fact a PECAN pie. I realize that days like today can be hectic but when a customer is standing an arm's length away and repeats three times that they want a pumpkin pie, then it's not too much to ask that the request should be granted. After not ordering for a couple of years because I could not find the Pumpkin Cream on the menu, I saw it this year and was excited to order once again. The whip cream was melty and sloppy not firm as it was before. And the pie itself did not have great flavor. I picked up a slice of Lemon Meringue and Apple, my two favorites. Had the lemon last night, it was very good, no complaints. As I said, it's to go for here. Menu has many options. 2 very busy servers for 10 filled tables with 4 groups seated within 10 minutes. Understandably, it took a while to have my order taken. But, I was vey thirsty and the very busy server brought a glass of water after placing my order with the kitchen. As someone who has been a server: when a wave of patrons comes in, the cashier, also acting as seating host, maybe place water on table when there is not people at the register. Better yet, the manager. I saw him bus tables but, notably, did not look at the tables with patrons. Restaurant managers constantly glance to check-in if water and coffee are present to check-in if staff needs a hand in creating a good experience. Some even walk around with coffee carafes or clear plates if the patrons finished long enough ago that the gesture is gracious vs the patron feeling they are being rushed. A good manager knows the timing because they are aware of where there patrons are in the meal and if they are out to socialize or grab a quick bite. At minimum they smile and give a non verbal, or verbal, greeting. I know this manager was not at the register when the recent wave arrived. Many, many, managers offer coffee, smile at the patrons, etc. carefully balancing being the main host with being intrusive. The kitchen does a great job of plating. The fresh fruit placement appeared deliberate for cheerful appearance. Breakfast expertly prepared. The server assigned to my booth was a whirlwind of efficiency. She greeted patrons, smiled, checked in. If you look at my Yelps it's clear I am a happy Yelper. If something goes wrong I reason I don't want to hurt a business because of on employee. But a manager, we'll a manager is responsible for the business's success. And he is not adding to the success. Does not display people skills. Decent bus boy, though. read more

I was meeting a co worker and on approach to the restaurant I was going to contact them to meet somewhere else because I thought the restaurant was shut down! I'm not pleased at all with this Baker's Square location. There were very few customers in there, and now I know why. The manager was not very nice. I asked him a question, and I looked away and he didn't answer but nodded and I didn't see him nod, and when I asked again he said snottily " I answered you by nodding." The other thing was that he had to wait for one of us ladies to come back from washroom to pay and showed his impatient over it, but found out she had to wait for more toilet paper in the disgusting bathroom. It appears there was one waitress. The waitress also got impatient with us and had the manager handle the bill because we split the bill 3 ways 2 of us with credit card and one with cash, and it appeared to create issues for them. We need to come back every once in a while to remember why we don't come here. Yes, it was a Wednesday so the place is busier than normal-but it took 15 minutes at a table to be greeted by a server. We knew what we wanted and ordered. 46 minutes later, after other tables that had come on after us got their food, we got ours. The over medium eggs on the new, highly touted "stuffed hash browns" came out barely cooked and very runny. The rest of entree was cold to the touch, it was not even warm. The tuna melt that was also ordered well done with no tomato came barely cooked, with tomato. Fries were on the plate instead of the fruit I substituted. This place was once top notch in all aspects, now I wonder how it stays open. read more

I love coming to baker's square, my all time favorite breakfast spot, however this past Sunday, we didn't have the best experience. I totally understand that it being father's day, it's already going to be packed, however that doesn't justify the lack of awareness for our so called waitress. The wait time to be seated wasn't bad, however half an hour passed and we were not acknowledged, and just lack of attention overall. We felt unappreciated by our waitress, and we weren't the only ones because another table near us were not acknowledged within a reasonable time frame and they left. However, I would like the mention that the manager and the host were super nice and went above and beyond to make up for the waitress. Will I probably return? Yes. I'm "greeted " by young lady. I asked for a menu she said " all the pies are on display " I LOOKED AROUND MYSELF and saw a whole list (with additional pies, not just ones on display ) I proceeded to ask to see a menu for the all the pies with pictures . Young lady responds with " there all on that list ". I'm like WOOOW get another job hun. I took the liberty of grabbing a dine in menu myself. This was the first time here and probably the last time. The food was very good but service wasn't exactly what I would have expected from Baker's Square. Once the drinks came out and our orders were placed we were practically ignored. I had to flag the server down every time I wanted a refill. The management of this restaurant is terrible. I went on a Wednesday which is of course free pie day. It is expected to be very busy and it was but you would expect the manager to know this too. When you are waiting in line to get seated and you see empty tables stacked with used plates and no one cleaning them so they can seat others waiting patiently in a line. As more and more people come into restaurant it seems they are on their own regarding getting name on list. Some people get attention others don't. The food was good and our waitress attentive but seeing the lack of attention to cleaning of tables was appalling. They need more staff or manager who cares. read more

So disappointed with our 2 orders French Silk pie purchase on 11/24/20. The quality consistency of Bakers Square F.Silk pie is not what use to be since in the last year or 2. Tasted like chocolate pudding!! was runny....sort of like a thick consistency of chocolate whip cream, rather than an actual chocolate silk pie filling. We made sure to keep pie in cold fridge and slice a piece for everyone and place back immediately in fridge. I thought I was the only one thinking its my opinion but my entire household whome we have always LOVED French Silk pie and they too sadly were very disappointed with our runny french silk chocolate pudding. Please! Bakers Square if you want to continue your wonderful pies the Quality Department need to improve and maintain its pie quality and consistency.
