I truly wanted to give this place 5 stars. A few things...I ordered take out (Bamboo Grill's location use to be Pho Nyugen, my pho place). The menu says 4 egg rolls, I got 3...also the pho says it comes with bean sprouts, it didn't. Also the cilantro and the green onions are combined...so just beware that if you are not a fan of cilantro (I'm sure it happens) you let them know!! One more thing...order the large bowl, the regular bowl of pho is so little..I was so surprised with the lack of rice noodles in the take out portion. Pro tip, for $0.50 more order the large pho. The menu says the price difference is a dollar, but I wasn't charged that. I'm assuming they just need some time to get everything in order. I'm totally going to give them another chance though...the pho was good! I get this place is new. Seems to have been training the young man at the register. The pho broth is a bit sweet, but really tasty. I added a little extra lime and sriracha, it was good. The egg rolls weren't wrapped the best, but it was tasty. It's not totally authentic Vietnamese tasting, but it's good. It's almost like the seasoning has been toned down to fit more of a variety of palates. read more

This is the BEST Vietnamese food I've ever had. There's still so many things I want to try off of the menu. Both the grilled shrimp and veggie spring rolls were amazing. You can tell they only use high quality ingredients. We ordered the fresh coconuts as well which were so sweet and they even cut it open for us afterwards. The steamed buns were amazing. My order actually came out wrong with a sandwich instead of steamed sliders, but they fixed it very graciously. And didn't charge me for the sandwich. It is cooked to order and fresh, you will wait a minute for food. That's what I want when I get authentic food, I don't want to eat food that has cut corners. We also had a chance to meet the owner who was a super sweet genuine guy. read more

This place offers fresh, made to order, high quality food that is sure to leave your mouth dancing. At least, it did mine! I had the grilled shrimp Vietnamese spring rolls (not fried) and the peanut dipping sauce (They also offer a fish sauce if you prefer). Crisp vegetables with the right amount of zing from the basil. I'm so glad we stopped here today! We had an errand about a mile away, so when I searched for lunch options Bamboo Grill came up. We ordered grilled beef in grape leaves with scallion oil, traditional shrimp and pork spring rolls, and pan fried potstickers with chicken. Everything was delicious! I seriously could have licked the foil that the beef-grape leaves came in. The spring rolls were jumbo-sized, and the potstickers were amazing! While waiting for our order, I chatted with the owner for a while. He seems like a great guy who is dedicated to keeping his staff employed. Bamboo Grill is a new business trying to survive the state closures and restrictions. Saw this place on DoorDash and decided to order. OMG WAS IT THE BEST DECISION EVER. Everything was piping hot when I received my delivery, ordered pork chops and they included delicious soup to chase it down with. The eggrolls were also yummy and crunchy. Good bang mi but I ordered something and they didn't realize it WAS on the menu so I couldn't get it, kind of annoying

To preface, Raz and I are on a quest to try every bao in Albuquerque. The bao sliders are not at all what I picture in my head when I think of bao (a soft, fluffy bun with surprise filling). Instead, the steamed bun is prepared more like a small flatbread, then folded over a delectable selection of what appear to b ed traditional fillings for bahn mi. Best of all, they have tofu and shrimp as options for "protein if choice," so Raz could keep to his resolution of eating fewer land animals. For us proper carnivores, the pork and beef bao sliders are absolutely to die for! So much savory, spicy flavor in every delectable bite that I found myself wanting to turn around and go back for another couple orders. Raz tells me the tofu and shrimp options were 5-star worthy as well, once he pulled off all the cilantro. That's a point to remember if you have the cilantro=dishsoap gene, since there is a pretty hefty portion in every silder. I thought the amount was just right, as all the other meat and veg flavors were bold enough to stand right up and be counted along with the cilantro. The jalapeno, though, that's worth a warning to the unwary. I found it a slow burn that had my mouth tingling a good while after I finished the meal. If you've no capsaicin tolerance, make that known up front. If you like bright heat, let me steer you right here, as Bamboo Grill Bao sliders pack a surprising punch. Bamboo Grill seems to be slowly and carefully opening table-service once more, but they absolutely shine at telephone ordering customer service and the pick-up process is really efficient too. All in all, this 5-star experience is one of the best so far on our bao quest. read more

I called in an order of Grilled Beef in Grape Leaves and Traditional Spring Rolls. My daughter liked the Spring Rolls and I found the beef rolls very tasty! The smell that wafted out when I opened the container made me drool and I couldn't get chopsticks fast enough. The grape leaves were almost crisp but when dunked in the spicy sauce they softened. The beef was well seasoned and tender and I could taste the grill. There was sauce leftover and I confess to drinking it, it was that good! I 'found' this place on Doordash. If I could only eat one protein for the rest of my life it would be their grilled pork. I get the vermicelli noodle bowl with pork skewers (and an extra one, and a the side of pork skewer. That enough for two good meals.) They were closed when I tried over the holidays and I went with another Vietnamese restaurant. How sad, but it made me realize just what a gem Bamboo Grill is. I wish I could critique other items, but I can't stop ordering the pork/vermicelli The only thing I'll add, is that you ask for extra fish sauce. This is the best pho I have ever had. We are a group of bollonists from LA and we are all falling in love with this restaurant. It is so amazingly delicious that is way exceeding our very high expectations. There is no pho restaurant come even close to this restaurant especially their broth is very authentic and rich in nature favors. The owner is so sweet and generous and make us feel like VIP. This restaurant is in a super random location with not much around it. Just so happened to be walking distance from where I was staying. The interior is modern and it's very clean. I just ordered take up, but the service was still great. The server was very sweet and attentive. She filled my water cup while I waited. The food was surprisingly good. I didn't expect to find good Vietnamese food in New Mexico (I'm from the Bay Area where there are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants to choose from). I ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls and the grilled pork banh mi. They were delicious! The spring roll was great and it was rolled tight enough where it didn't fall apart after a single bite. The grilled pork was soo good - I wish there was more inside the sandwich. If I get another chance to come here before I head out of town, I definitely want to try their bowl of pho. read more

I've been hesitant to post reviews based only on my delivery experiences due to COVID-19, but we have a winner here! Very impressed with the quality of the food. Everything we ordered wowed us! The chicken wings had crispy bits of garlic and the sauce was tasty. The spring rolls were fabulous - the rice noodles weren't hard or clumpy, and the shrimp and chicken inside was actually marinated and grilled. The lime fish sauce was perfect for them. The banh mi had a lot of meat and the house sauce was heavenly, if a tad bit too sweet. Finally, the pho had a great broth and good toppings. Will definitely be ordering again (soon!). read more

Gosh! What didn't we order? This place was absolutely delicious. My husband and I decided to feast while we were on a mini vacation- away from the kids. My husband has come to LOVE Pho! Who would have imagined such a turn around from a man who wouldn't even eat chicken?!?!?!?? He's coming around though. Anyway, he had Pho with tendon and rare steak. We ordered papaya salad, bao sliders, potstickers to start. Pho and shaking beef were the entrees. That Pho was so delicious and my husband's new favorite. The shaking beef was better the next day after all the spices and seasonings had time to infuse into the food more. Those sliders were delicious! We will definitely be headed back to Bamboo! I had missed lunch and breakfast the other day and stopped in at 3:00 in the afternoon because I was starved. It is located in a strip mall and doesn't jump out at you, but the food is excellent. I had the lemongrass noodle bowl with chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly, you could taste the lemongrass and all came together perfectly with the spice mix served over noodles. Loved it!
